 Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lin Feng from Nanchong City, Sichuan Province was arrested at her home on February 1, 2003. She was sentenced to forced labor and brutally tortured almost to death inside the camp. She finally passed away on July 26, 2005. Ms. Lin Feng was 36 years old.

On February 1, 2003 (Chinese New Year), police stormed into her home, ransacked it, and arrested her. Police confiscated all of her Falun Gong books and materials, and she was sentenced to three years at forced labor. She was sent to Chengdu City Prison initially and then transferred to the Nanmusi Women Labor Camp, located in Zizhong County.

In the Nanmusi Labor Camp, Ms. Lin Feng was most cruelly tortured physically and mentally by the prison guards. When the family came to visit her, the guards told her family, "We used all sorts of torture methods, but she refused to accept the brainwashing."

For remaining steadfast and refusing to disavow her faith in Falun Gong, Ms. Lin was injected with nerve-damaging drugs, and she suffered a nervous break down. Her entire body was sickened by the effects of the drugs. She suffered severe swelling in parts of her body and was unable to walk. She then suffered kidney failure and was in critical condition. The prognosis of the doctors was that she would soon die. The State Security agents notified her family to take her home in June of 2005. They forced her family to sign documents absolving them of any liability in Ms. Lin's death.

When Ms. Lin was in the hospital, Nanchong City State Security agents monitored her closely day and night. Fellow practitioners went to visit, risking their own arrest. When they checked her body, which was covered with bruises, Ms. Lin told her fellow practitioners, "There is no good place on my body."

The doctors announced many times that she was dying and needed blood-cleansing daily. The State Security agents continued to harass and threaten her until the end. Ms. Lin Died at 5 AM on July 26, 2005.

 Ms. Guo Yinjie is 48 years old and lives in Kouqian Town, Yongji County, Jilin Province. She used to work in a credit union office in Yongji County. Because of her firm belief in Falun Gong, she had been to Beijing several times to appeal for an end to the persecution. She has been fined, illegally detained and eventually dismissed from her job.

On the night of February 3, 2005, Ms. Guo was arrested at home. Later, she was sentenced to 6 years in prison. She went on hunger strikes several times to protest the persecution and her physical health deteriorated as a result. Twice the prison authorities refused to take Ms. Guo because of her poor health, yet she is being held and persecuted in the No. 1 Detention Center, Jilin Province.

Ms. Guo Yinjie started practicing Falun Gong in February 1999. Ever since then, she has been following the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" in her daily life and has benefited both physically and mentally from her practice. She is a respected figure in her community.

In September 1999, Ms. Guo went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. She demanded that the government restore Teacher's innocence and Falun Gong's as well. The police arrested Ms. Guo in Beijing and later detained her in the Shunyi Detention Center in Beijing City. Ms. Guo started a hunger strike that lasted four days to protest the persecution. After being detained for more than 10 days in Beijing, some local police officers returned Ms. Guo to her hometown and detained her in the Kouqian Detention Station to be further persecuted.

In October of 2000, Ms. Guo went to Beijing again. She was arrested and taken back to her hometown once again. She was again detained in the Kouqian Detention Station, this time for three months. At the time, some policemen tried to force Ms. Guo to write a repentance statement. Ms. Guo absolutely refused. She was then dismissed from her work unit for one year. With no other source of income and with her husband unemployed as well, Ms. Guo tried very hard to find a job to support her family, but she couldn't find one. The police had already completely extorted the family's savings from them. At the same time, her child was in college and was in need of quite a sum of money. Ms. Guo had to borrow about 10,000 yuan from her sisters to support the family.

Ms. Guo took every opportunity to spread the truth about Falun Gong and with help from many people she eventually got back to her original work unit. She worked hard and responsibly and always treated herself as a practitioner. She got along well with her colleagues. She would always consider others first in her work and her daily life. During several internal restructurings in her work unit, Ms. Guo always volunteered to work in those areas where most people didn't want to be. Such decent manners and conduct caught the attention of the work unit management as well as her colleagues. They all praised Ms. Guo's admirable and noble conduct.

Some time in 2000, Ms. Guo tried to clarify the truth to a customer. Someone reported her to the security agency and several police officers rushed into her work unit to try to arrest her. Pressured by the security agents, the managers decided to dismiss Ms. Guo from her job once again. Even though she was not arrested this time, the police extorted around 5,000 yuan in cash as a fine. In 2003, Ms. Guo again returned to her work unit.

On the night of February 3, 2005, more than 20 security agents from the Yongji County Public Security Department and the Jilin Province Public Security Bureau broke into Ms. Guo's house and completely ransacked it. The house was in a terrible mess after the search. The security agents took whatever they wanted. They even stole coins that Ms. Guo's child had saved in a piggy bank and some dried snack food. They confiscated all of the Falun Gong books, all of the truth clarification documents, a computer and one printer. Ms. Guo was immediately arrested and sent to the No. 3 Detention Center in Jilin Province to be detained there.

During her detention, police officers tried to interrogate her several times. She refused to answer any questions that the police officers asked her. Later, Ms. Guo was transferred to the No. 1 Detention Center in Jilin Province. She went on hunger strikes several times to protest the persecution and she demanded that she be released right away without any charges whatsoever. Ms. Guo has already experienced a lot of cruel treatment in the detention center. After she had been detained for more than half a year, her work unit leaders and colleagues visited her in the detention center. They were all completely surprised at the physical changes Ms. Guo had undergone during her stay in the center. Ms. Guo's features had completely changed. She became just skin and bones and her hair turned gray.

On June 8, 2005, the Yongjie County Court sentenced Ms. Guo to 6 years in prison without any proof whatsoever. In court, Ms. Guo told her story about the tremendous changes that she underwent after she started practicing Falun Gong. She told the judge that she was not guilty of anything as she followed the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," to become an even better citizen. Ms. Guo refused to sign the sentencing statement and was later sent to the No. 1 Detention Center again. When the family requested to visit Ms. Guo, they were told they couldn't see her because her case was still pending in court.

As the persecution has caused Ms. Guo's physical health to deteriorate, on two occasions when the authorities wanted her to be put in prison, the prison refused to take her. Despite her health, Ms Guo is being held and persecuted in the detention center and the authorities simply won't release her.

Ms. Guo's family is under enormous pressure. Ms. Guo's husband's diabetic symptoms have recurred and he is suffering strong mental pressure, as Ms. Guo can no longer take care of him. He has to self-administer expensive insulin shots. Ms. Guo's only daughter and her parents are in an extremely difficult situation. They will soon be unable to afford to care for themselves. When the parents learned of the illegal sentence, both cried and asked, "Will we see her again in 6 years? What a wonderful child she has been!" Ms. Guo's work unit officials, as well as many of her colleagues, have requested on many occasions to visit her. Many others are seeking to know about her current physical condition and they want to know what's going to happen to her next.

Mr. An Senbiao, 38, is a former employee of No.2 Oil Extraction Plant in Daqing City and a Falun Gong practitioner. On January 24, 2005, while clarifying the facts about Falun Gong inside Babaishang Police Department in Daqing, Mr. An was arrested by lawless personnel. While Mr. An was locked up in confinement in Longfeng Detention Center he was forced to put on shackles weighting 30 jin (about 33 lbs). Normally, these shackles were reserved for people facing the death penalty. Using the shackles the guards locked Mr. An to a metal ring secured to the ground. In the cold winter, the guards soaked his cotton-padded jacket and trousers with cold water. In the Suihua Forced Labor Camp, Mr. An was burned, pricked with needles, force-fed laundry powder, shocked with electric batons, sexually assaulted, and is now on the verge of death.

On July 13, 2005, Mr. An, nearing his last breath, was released to his family. Mr. An, once having a normal weight of 165 jin (184 lbs), now weighs 85 jin (95 lbs). He is very thin and is only skin and bones. Because of being tied up and cuffed all the time, his arms are now stiff and cannot even bend.

Around noon on January 24, 2005, Mr. An went to the Babaishang Police Department in Daqing. In the hall, he came across policeman Gao Yufeng and kindly clarified the truth about Falun Gong to him. He also gave Gao a booklet containing the facts about Falun Gong. Gao Yufeng then loudly told other policemen, "An Senbiao has come here to spread the truth about Falun Gong." An Senbiao asked Gao, "Do you know the truth?" Gao asked, "How many copies of materials do you still carry with you?" While saying that, Gao started to search Mr. An's jacket pocket. At that time, other policemen also started to search Mr. An, "Turn in all that you carry," they said. One policeman immediately locked the gate. They dragged Mr. An to the office and confiscated all the materials he had brought along with him.

The police handcuffed Mr. An's hands behind his back, forced him into a police vehicle and took him to the Babaishang Police Station, where they sat him down in an iron chair. Gao Yufeng lit a cigarette, and placed the burning stick under Mr. An's nose while asking him to reveal the source of his truth materials. Police officer Liu Yanqing called E Jintai, the Party secretary of Mr. An's work-unit, and ordered the typist to search Mr. An's personal information on the computer. Soon, Liu Yanqing, E Jintai, the Division Party Secretary, and Wang Xizhong, the Team Party Secretary of No. 7 Production Division of No.2 Oil Extraction Plant went to Mr. An's home carrying the keys they had stolen from Mr. An and ransacked Mr. An's home for two hours. They confiscated Teacher's Picture, Falun Gong books, Lecture tapes, and other belongings.

At about 10 p.m. the same night, the Babaishang Police Department authorities sent Mr. An to Longfeng Detention Center in Daqing and placed him in confinement. The police put the 30-jin heavy shackles on him and then locked him to the ground ring. Mr. An could only sit, lie down, or stand, but couldn't take a step. Criminals guarded him at the door. Mr. An shouted day and night, "Falun Dafa is good!" The police crazily kicked the iron door and abused him constantly.

Two days later, in spite of the piercing cold in northern China, two prisoners poured cold water over Mr. An from the neck two times successively at about 2 or 3 a.m. in the morning. Mr. An's cotton-padded coat and trousers were drenched. Several days later, the coat and trousers finally dried due to his own body heat. In the morning, when the detention head and the police came to inspect, Mr. An asked them, "Do you have such a rule that the person under supervision can be doused with cold water?" The detention head, faking kindness, asked his second-in-charge, "Who did that?" Not long after, the police transferred Mr. An to the introspection room and asked him to introspect along with the criminals. Mr. An refused to cooperate and was forced to sit down. He firmly resisted and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" The police then sent him back to confinement.

One month later, Mr. An was transferred to the Daqing Forced Labor Camp to be persecuted. In the No.2 Division, two prisoners monitored him. From the second day of his arrival, Mr. An held a hunger strike to protest. Three times every day, the lawless personnel carried him to a cell, while the criminals pressed him and forcibly inserted tubes into his esophagus. When he shook his head to protest, the prisoners put in efforts to pull his ears and press his head, which resulted in the skin behind his ears bruising.

Over 20 days later, that is, on March 15, the police handcuffed Mr. An with "wolf teeth cuffs." Then they sent him along with two other practitioners from Daqing, Zhan Yinge and Zhang Bin, to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. The handcuffs around his wrists cut into his flesh and made it unbearably painful.

After he was sent to No.2 Division in the Suihua Forced Labor Camp, Mr. An started a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest and persecution. He was then brutally force-fed everyday. The police forced him to wear the prison uniform; which he refused. Shi Jian from the labor camp's 610 Office, along with other prisoners, then swarmed around him, punching and kicking him. They heavily kicked his abdominal area and smashed him against the wall. Shi Jian used a tailor-made needle to prick his feet (his feet still have the scars.) Every morning when they force-fed him, they first forcibly put the prison uniform on him, and then dragged him by the uniform to the infirmary. To prevent Mr. An from pulling out the tube, they handcuffed him each time to a bed and then inserted the tube into his stomach directly. The tube wasn't pulled out until he was released.

Shi Jian from the 610 Office, over 30 years old, maliciously and brutally persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. He shouted, "You Falun Gong accuse me. Can you make it? Haven't I been the same as usual?" Every time he was on duty, Shi Jian constantly and willfully pricked Mr. An on the chest, nipples, the neck and other areas. Mr. An suffered this torture three times, with each session lasting 20 minutes. Shi Jian also blinded Mr. An's eyes with cloth and fed him laundry powder. A criminal also did that to him, which resulted in his stomach burning and aching. A policeman surnamed Huang from the 610 Office in the forced labor camp, forced Mr. An to eat by shocking him with an electric baton. Policeman Liu Wei ordered prisoners to insult Teacher's image. Prisoner Li Wenlong actively participated in the persecution of practitioners, including even those who were not under his direct monitor. He would claim, "I represent the government to specially punish Falun Gong," and then abuse practitioners all day long. One night, Li Wenlong burned Mr. An's penis with hot water contained in a plastic bag. Prisoner Ma Tao cut Mr. An on the neck with his hands leaving scars which are visible to this day. The criminals also splashed water onto his eyes to prevent him from sleeping, burnt his abdominal area with plastic containing burning hot rice, forced him to watch videotapes slandering Falun Gong, and persistently asked him to give up his belief. Every time he tried to pull out the force-feeding tube from his esophagus, the criminals punched Mr. An on the chest and head. They also burnt his feet with cigarette lighters.

Mr. An's over-80-year-old mother, elder sister, and wife asked authorities for Mr. An's release. Li Daming, Director of the Babaishang Police Department, humiliated them by saying, "He violated the law and was only slightly punished. You are no good, thus your son cannot be good either." He also insulted Mr. An's wife, "You are not a good worker either." He then called the leaders of the No.2 Oil Plant, "An Senbiao's family is making trouble here. Why are you still keeping An Senbiao in your plant? Dismiss him." The police turned away Mr. An's family members using the excuse that the family made trouble and disturbed official affairs.

An Senbiao was persecuted nearly to death. He was sent to the hospital for a physical examination two times in a row. After the examination, the police tried to conceal his health condition. Later, his family learnt that Mr. An's body was in disorder and showed many illness symptoms.

At 3 p.m. on July 13, 2005, because of the appeals of Mr. An's family, practitioners at home and overseas, and all the righteous people, the Suihua Forced Labor Camp authorities set An Senbiao free. He was on the verge of death because of being illegally locked up for more than half a year. Now, An Senbiao is skin and bones, and is extremely weak. He once weighed 165 jin (184 lbs). Now, he weighs only 85 jin (95 lbs). Due to being constantly cuffed, he is not able to bend his arms.

The Suihua Forced Labor Camp is the base of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Heilongjiang Province. At its peak, it has locked up to more than 300 practitioners. It has underground cells that are especially used for the persecution of practitioners. Nowadays, more than 70 practitioners from all places, including Zhan Yinge and Zhang Bin from Daqing, are still locked up there. We hope the righteous people from all over the world, the human rights organizations, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), and other organizations, can pay attention and help the practitioners obtain freedom as soon as possible, as well as bring the lawless persecutors to justice!

Ms. Hao is a Falun Gong practitioner from Qujiagou Village, Hongshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. Those that knew them considered Ms. Hao Ping, and her five-member family, to be a happy family. The farming family included Ms. Hao's husband, her fourteen year old son, an old man, Wang Zhanjiu, whom they have been supporting for eight years, and Ms. Hao's brother, Hao Gang, whose mind was a little slow (he has lived with the family for 13 years).

In February 2002, police from the Hongshan District National Security Division in Chifeng City suddenly arrived and surrounded Hao Ping's residence. Blatantly violating the Chinese constitution, the police barged through the gates. Some police jumped over the walls with batons, kicking and smashing everything in sight. The family's valuables, their personal belongings, and their bankbook were confiscated. Many people witnessed this incident and collected evidence to prove it.

Hao Ping and her husband were arrested and their residence was destroyed. Everything was totally ruined. The old man, Wang Zhanjiu, could not take the mental blow and passed away sometime later. Hao Ping's mentally challenged older brother now has to live alone. No one knows where he is now, and how he is doing. Their child has no one to support him and thus wanders around homeless and leads a destitute life. The farm that the couple managed with diligence and sweat became a shambles. The family's herd of more than 80 pigs and several dozens dogs are nowhere to be found.

Policemen from the Hongshan District Detention Center grossly abused Hao Ping. The police once locked her up in a metal cage for 24 hours and shocked her with electric batons. On cold nights the police locked her up in a solitary confinement room without allowing her to wear a warm coat. Ms. Hao was handcuffed and made to sit on an ice-cold metal chair for over 20 hours. She was not given any food and was forbidden to go to the washroom. Hao Ping endured the urge to urinate until her lower abdomen ached. She could then no longer endure and wet her pants. The dampness made her even colder. When personnel from the Ministry of Public Security came to inspect the detention center, Falun Gong practitioner Li Hui spoke words of justice for Hao Ping but was imprisoned for her kindness.

After officials from the Hongshan District Police Department arrested Ms. Li Hui, they interrogated and tortured her. The police shocked her with electric batons until she lost consciousness. Then they stripped her and inhumanely wrapped iron wire around her nipples and used remote control to pass an electric current through the wire. The police stepped on Li Hui's arm and twisted it back and forth. They also made others step on Li Hui's head and violently forced her to submit to having her fingerprints taken as falsified evidence that she consented to an illegal sentence of seven and-a-half years. Li Hui originally weighed over 65 kg (about 137 lbs), but after the torture she weighed just a little over 25 kg (about 60 lbs).

Hao Ping was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment and incarcerated in the Inner Mongolia First Women's Prison. Hao Ping's husband was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and was detained in the No. 4 Prison in Chifeng.

As Hao Ping took the lead in the jail to resist the persecution, she suffered persecution at the hands of the police. They made her lie down on the concrete floor and incited criminals to beat her up, resulting in her being unable to walk normally for three days. Criminals Wang Ling and Li Ying etc. frequently tortured her, causing Hao Ping severe mental and physical harm. On July 30, 2004, Hao Ping could not get out of bed due to intense gastric pain. Around 9.00 p.m. criminal Li Ying dragged Hao Ping to the floor like a gunnysack. Hao Ping could not move her injured lower back and arm, she was barefoot and could not stand up. Another criminal gave her a slap across the face. On July 31, Hao Ping could not move her injured back and arm and was resting in bed. The criminals took away her bed-board and made her sleep on the floor in a coma for four days.

 Zhang Youzhen, former principal of Shuidong Elementary School in Biantan Township, Huzhu County, Qinghai Province, persisted in practicing Falun Gong though he was handcuffed with a plate hung on his chest, and humiliated by being paraded in the street. He was illegally sentenced to forced labor, tortured at the Qinghai Provincial Labor Camp, and passed away on June 19, 2003.

Mr. Zhang Youzhen was born in 1958 in Biantan Township, Huzhu County, Qinghai Province. He was principal and advanced teacher at Shuidong Elementary School at Biantan Township. After Mr. Zhang Youzhen started practicing Falun Gong in 1995, he became more responsible in his job and his performance at work was outstanding. He was repeatedly awarded the title of "Excellent Teacher," "Advanced Worker" and other titles.

Although the Jiang Regime banned Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Zhang Youzhen persisted in practicing Falun Gong. On March 29, 2001, Zhang Youzhen was taken away from his school by the National Security Defense Detachment of the Public Security Department in Huzhu County, Qinghai Province. After 24 hours of interrogation by torture he was illegally detained in the Detention Center of Huzhu County on March 30.

At the Huzhu County Detention Center, Zhang Youzhen was interrogated several times by guards. He was illegally humiliated by corrupt officials. On stage at a convention of ten thousand people in Biantan Township, Huzhu County, Zhang Youzhen was handcuffed and forced to wear a three-foot sign saying "Crime of interfering with law enforcement." He was paraded in the street wearing the sign. This treatment lasted over 9 months.

Nine months later, on January 8, 2002 Zhang Youzhen was illegally sent to the Qinghai Provincial Labor Camp at Duoba Town, Huangzhong County, Qinghai Province. Because of his long-term mental suffering and physical torture, Zhang Youzhen was severely injured and extremely weak.

In the Qinghai Provincial Labor Camp, Zhang Youzhen was tortured by guards for over 40 days. The guards made criminals monitor Falun Gong practitioners to restrict their movement. Falun Gong practitioners received abuse like being forced to stand for 8 to 10 hours daily. In April 2002, Zhang Youzhen had been persecuted so severely that he was on the brink of death and could not care for himself. The labor camp authorities approved his release for medical treatment and released him to his family's care. Since his family took good care of him, he slowly regained health. Just as his health improved, before the Sixteenth National Party Congress of the CCP, the police again sent Zhang Youzhen to the labor camp. The excuse was that it was a sensitive time.

Twenty days later, Zhang Youzhen had been tortured to the brink of death. To avoid having to take any responsibility for their actions, the labor camp sent him home. Zhang Youzhen passed away on June 19, 2003.

Mi Xiaozheng, over 20, from Shijiazhuang City, was a college student in Chongqing City. His home was on Tengfeiyuan 4-6-203, Jinma District, Shijiazhuang City. He was forced to leave the school and become homeless because he practiced Falun Gong. In April 2005, Mi was arrested and tortured in the Hebei Provincial Brainwashing Class. He has been on hunger strike for over three months.

2. [Sichuan Province] Mrs. Zou Hongying, Teacher from the Er'mei School in Xinan Transportation University, Arrested

On July 8, 2005, Ms. Zou Hongying, about 30, from the Er'mei School in Xinan Transportation University was arrested.

Ms. Luo Yuzhi, Ms. Gong Libi and Mr. Wang Mou were arrested by the Shihe Police in Jinzhou District in the evening of July 6, 2005. They were sent to the Jinzhou Labor Camp and have since been tortured there.

In early May 2005, Mr. Mao Hui in Xiashan, Chaonan District, Shantou City was arrested by the police to the Shantou Brainwashing Class and has since been tortured there.

Mrs. Han Chunyan, 50, lived in Shanghai. Her address is 16 Zhengmin Road, Apt 102, Yangpu District, Shanghai City. In July 2000, Mrs. Han was arrested and sentenced to three years for giving out truth-clarification materials. She was released in July 2003. Seven months later, February 2004, the Shanghai City Police arrested her again and sentenced her to four more years in prison. Currently Mrs. Han is held in the Shanghai Female Jail in Shijing Town Songjiang District. Every day she is forced to make Japanese Kimonos, which are exported to Japan.

At noon on July 8, 2005, the National Security Team in Zibo City cooperated with the Binhai Public Security Bureau to break into Mr. Zheng Ruihuan's apartment and to arrest both Mr. Zheng and his wife Mrs. Liu Yulan. The authorities confiscated Mr. Zheng's computer and Falun Gong materials. Currently Mr. Zheng and Mrs. Liu are detained in the Binhai Public Security Bureau.

7. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guifeng Illegally Arrested by the Neighborhood Committee

Mrs. Li Guifeng, 67, from Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, was walking alone on July 7, 2005, when she was arrested. Her bag was seized by Li Meixiang, director of the Jianshe Community Neighborhood Committee. Li found several truth-clarification flyers in the bag. Li brought Guifeng to the Neighborhood Committee and reported her to the Nanyingfang Police. Several minutes later, the police took Guifeng and interrogated her. They then searched her home without a warrant and confiscated all of her valuables and Falun Gong materials.

In the afternoon of July 8, Mrs. Li's daughter told us that she had paid five thousand yuan to the Nanyingfang Police Substation. They promised to release Mrs. Li, but as of today Li Guifang's whereabouts are still unknown.

On July 6, 2005, Mr. Li Xinguang, the manager of Nanyang City Jiangong Group drove his personal car to Zhengzhou City for business. On his way, the Nanyang Public Security Bureau called his cell phone. He was tricked to go to the public security bureau and was detained there. Later, the police went to his residence and took away all his Falun Gong books, over 1500 yuan in cash, a handbag, his relative's cell phone, a PDA and some jade ornaments. The police also confiscated his company car, a laptop, and some company money. In 2003, Wolong District Public Security Bureau confiscated three computers and a fax machine from Li's company.

9. [Li Jiatuo, Banan District, Chongqing City] Mrs. Zhan Zhihui Sentenced to One and a Half Years in a Labor Camp

On May 26, 2005, six practitioners, including Mrs. Zhan Zhihui, Ms. Xu Xia, Mr. Meng Xuetao, Meng's Mother, and Xiao Han had a group study at Xu's' home. They were reported to and arrested by the police. All of them have been illegally detained in the Yudong Detention Center in Banan District.

Not long ago, Meng''s Mother was released. Mrs. Zhan's husband went to the labor camp to visit her. The police said that Mrs. Zhan had been sentenced to one and a half years to the Xishanping Labor Camp.

Around 1 a.m. on July 5, 2005, Mrs. Wang Shuzhen brought her daughter to Baoshan Town to shop. On the way back, Mrs. Wang was arrested by the director of the Baoshan Police with the last name Kong, the secretary general of Daying Village, Bai Zuoxia, and a policeman named Fang.

At 9 a.m. Fang went on motorcycle to ransack Mrs. Wang Shuzhen's home.

Ms. Zheng Xiaoyan, from Panjin, was arrested in the afternoon of July 8, 2005, at the Shengtaiyuan residential area of Xinglongtai District. Currently she is held in Liaohe Oil Field Detention Center in Panjin City.

On June 13, 2005, Guo Mingqing, Ms. Huang Duzhen and Ms. Luo Lanying, from the Zijiang Agricultural Fertilizer Factory of Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, were reported to the police for giving out truth-clarification materials. They were arrested, and their homes were searched. On July 7, the Shuangqing Public Security Sub-bureau sentenced Guo to forced labor in the Baimalong Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. This is the second time that Guo was sentenced to forced labor.

On July 13, 2005, at around 3:30 a.m., seven or eight local government officials from Guanting Township, Chaluhe Town, Yongji County, Jilin Province and officers from the local police station broke into Mr. Meng Qingcai's home. They wanted Mr. Meng to write a guarantee statement. After Mr. Meng refused, the police arrested Mr. Meng's daughter, Ms. Meng Fanrong, who is in her eighth month of pregnancy.

At this time, the Guanting Township officials have arrested four people and they are being detained at the Kouqian Brainwashing Center in Yongji County.

On June 26, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Liu Ruixian (58 years old) and Ms. Jia Yanxia (61 years old) were arrested for clarifying the truth to people and distributing materials. They were detained at a detention center for over twenty days. The person responsible for the arrest was the director of the Suzhou District 610 Office, Chen Jianhua.

On April 4, 2005, another practitioner, Ms. Fan Xiuling (58 years old) was arrested while distributing truth-clarification materials and clarifying the truth in Jiuquan City. She was sentenced to forced labor camp and is currently detained at the Lanzhou City Labor Camp.

Around July 13, 2005, Guo Lianbao from Beiyin Village of Zunhua City was arrested at home.

Ms. Wang Wanning is a graduate student at the Decoration Department of the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. On July 4, 2005, she was clarifying the truth and handing out CDs to her schoolmates. One of her schoolmates, Liu Cheng, reported her to Liu Xiaohua, the director of the school. Liu then reported Ms. Wang to the police. Consequently, Ms. Wang was taken to a detention center.

In March 2005, Ms. Liu Guifu was sentenced to two and a half years in a forced labor camp. She was imprisoned at Group 7 of Daxing Women Forced Labor Camp. Because she refused to be "transformed", she was transferred to Group 2 for further persecution. The labor camp also refuses to allow her family to visit.

On July 14, 2005, Mr. Xu Guoqing was arrested at his home in Danshuichi of Wuhan City. The police also confiscated a computer, a copy machine and other materials.

Ms. Zhu Junxiu and her husband, Mr. Yu Jiaqing, were arrested on June 20, 2005. They are currently detained at the Pi County Detention Center.

Ms. Wu Yulan from Yichang City has been detained five times for continuing to practice Falun Gong. On August 31, 2003, Ms. Wu was sentenced to one and a half years in prison. She is currently being detained at the Shayang Forced Labor Camp.

On July 8, 2005, the Changchun City Police Department and the 610 Office arrested Li Haizheng, a teacher at the Foreign Language School of Northeast Normal University, and Mr. Li Ran, a teacher from the affiliated high school. They were sent to Changchun City Xinlongshan Brainwashing Center. The Secretary of the Communist Party at the university, Shen Lianxi, bears responsibility for these arrests.

On May 24, 2005, at around 3 p.m., a group of policemen from the Jiuzhan Police Station broke into Ms. Zhang Yazhen's home and confiscated a copy machine and some materials. Ms. Zhang was not at home at the time. However the police arrested Ms. Zhang on her return. Her sister-in-law was also arrested at the same time. Both of them are being detained at the Yueshanlu Detention Center in Jilin City.

12. [Dongying, Shandong Province] Mr. You Yunsheng Escaped from the Police

Mr. You Yunsheng worked for the Shengli Oil Field Co. in Shangdong Province. On July 14, 2005, at around 4 p.m., he received a phone call from the neighborhood community office asking him to come to the office. As soon as he stepped out of the door, the police from the State Security Unit of the Binhai Police Department arrested him. Mr. You was taken to the Shengli Hotel of the Shengli Oil Field in Dongying.

Information from the police indicated that two computers, a printer, a large amount of truth materials and Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party were taken from Mr. You's home. On July 16, at around 2 a.m., Mr. You escaped.

Ms. Wu Yueju is from Pulandian of Dalian City. At the beginning of 2005, she was transferred from the Dalian Forced Labor Camp to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. She had been severely persecuted at the Dalian Forced Labor Camp.

This is the second time Ms. Wu was imprisoned. The first time, she was imprisoned from the year 2000 to the end of the year 2003. On January 5, 2004, Ms. Wu tried to clarify the truth to Ron Qing, a villager. She gave her Falun Gong materials and a CD, but Ron reported her to the police. At around 4:30 p.m. on January 6, the police from the Tiexi district police station of Pulandian arrested Ms. Wu at her home.

Mr. Wang Jianhua (38 years old) works for the Jiangbei branch of the Jilin Commerce Bank. Mr. Wang's wife, Ms. Qian Lijun (36 years old), works for the Nanning branch of the same bank. On July 15, at around 3 p.m., both were arrested at their respective workplaces. The police also searched their home and Ms. Qian's mother's home as well. They were not able to find anything. No further information is available at this time.

On February 21, 2005, at around 2 p.m., Mr. Ma Zhanquan and Ms. Tia Shurong were arrested. They were delivering Falun Gong materials to Fengtai Village, Dulehe Township, Pinggu District. Last month, their family was informed that both were transferred to the Pinggu District Detention Center.

Ms. Li Yinhua is an elementary school teacher at the Kanchuangou Elementary School in Qingyuan County, Fushun City. She was arrested and taken to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center.

On June 15, 2005, around 6 a.m., Chen Bo (the Wandianzi Elementary School Principal), Liu Jie (Party Secretary of the Wandianzi Elementary School), Chen Yan (Principal), Zhang Bai (the Kanchangou Elementary School Principal) and Jin Huaisheng (Party Secretary of Kanchangou Elementary School) came to Ms. Li's home and tried to send her to a brainwashing center. However, as more and more people gathered around to watch what was going on, they could not achieve their goal. They left quietly. After the people left, they returned to Ms. Li's home with the Qingyuan Education Department Party Secretary Wang and Shi Baoyan. Wang and Shi are the main perpetrators of the persecution in that area. The same day, at around 10 a.m., they sent Ms. Li to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center for persecution.
