The guards and officials at Jilin No. 2 Prison have been brutally persecuting illegally held Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners Wang Fengcai, Yun Qingbin, Wang Qibo, Yang Qingchen and others are in a highly critical situation.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yun Qingbin is detained in the No. 3 Prison Area. On May 13, 2005, perpetrators Bai Ye, Yan Feng and Wu Qingdong tried to "transform" him, Yun Qingbin firmly resisted. Li Yongsheng, secretary in charge of the education section and three collaborators dragged him out of the transformation room and locked him up in a confinement cell. He has not been released as of this date.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Fengcai is 33 years old, and lived at Fengchan Village, Mingyue Town, Antu County, Jilin Province. He is now being held in the No. 3 Prison Area. On May 13, 2005, Wang Fengcai was subjected to forcible brainwashing by Bai Ye, Yan Feng and Wu Qingdong. He refused to compromise. Li Yongsheng, secretary in charge of the education section and three collaborators locked him into a solitary confinement cell. Wang Fengcai went on a hunger strike to resist the persecution and became critically ill. He has been sent to Jilin Railway Hospital and is on the verge of death. Despite being in a desperate condition, one of Wang Fengcai's feet is cuffed to the bed every night and he is monitored by four police officers.
It is rumored that before Wang Fengcai was sent to the hospital, the perpetrators did not let him sleep for 24 hours and only gave him water three times during the day. During the most severe persecution, they tortured him with the "Dead Person's Bed."
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Qingchen lived at Hongquan Township, Songyuan City, Jilin Province. He is now being held in the No. 4 Prison Area. Yang Qingchen was forcibly "transformed." Because of the persecution, he has become extremely weak, unable to speak clearly, and when he was muddle-headed, he wrote the "Five Statements." He was sent to Jilin City Railway Hospital on July 4. Details are unknown.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wang Qibo is 47 years old, and lived at Niuweiba Village, Yangshulin Township, Nongan County, Jilin Province. On May 13, 2005, he taught inmates the Falun Gong exercises in the cell. As a result, he was locked up in a solitary confinement cell. He is still confined. His 76-year-old mother and other family members went to visit him, but were denied family visitation rights by the guards. According to a reliable source, Wang Qibo's mother and other family members went to the prison every day. They were refused family visitation rights. They are staying outside the prison daily. They sleep outside the prison at night. They are living in a difficult situation.
Please, call on more people of justice to step forward to stop the brutal persecution.

Li Hongxia from Zhenzhuang Village, Yangqiao Town, Lingquan County, Anhui Province has been missing for nearly six years
Ms. Li Hongxia, 25 years old, called Xiaofang as a child, started to practice Falun Gong in 1998. On July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and nobody has heard any news of her since. Her family members miss her and are very worried about her.
Home contact: Liu Jingzhi, mother; Li Hongfei, brother.
Zhao Bingxin, a practitioner from Shanxi Province, has been missing for over two years
Mr. Zhao Bingxin, 42 years old, is from Shanxi Province. In 2001, he went to visit his sister's mother and then rented a place at Majiabao in Fengtai (we do not know the exact address). Zhao Bingxin has unshakable belief in Falun Gong. It is said that in early May of 2003 he received a phone call, went out, and has never returned or been heard of by anybody since.
Mr. Zhao's sister, Zhao Guiying, is a practitioner too. She lives at Suit 904, Building 85, Jiaomengdongli, Fengtai District, Beijing. On July 19, 2001 she was taken away against her will by local police and later illegally sentenced to five years in Tuanhe Women's Prison in Daxing.

Plaintiffs: Ms. Mu Yonghxia's family members, Mu Hongguo, Mu Yongyan, Mu Yongqin, Yin Weiping, Li Jingxuan, Li Guannan, Li Wenmeng, Yang Chen.
Accusation: Accusing the responsible personnel from Daqing City's Ranghulu Local Police Station for the wrongful persecution of Ms. Mu Yonghxia.
Requests:
Bring those responsible for the persecution of Ms. Mu Yonghxia to justice in accordance with the law.
Compensate Ms. Mu and her family, in accordance with the law, for the emotional and financial losses that have resulted from the wrongful persecution.
Issue Ms. Mu an identification card and permission to live in the city through normal procedures; return all the personal belongings and possessions and legal documents that the police took and compensate for all losses that resulted from such seizure.
Facts and reasons:
Ms. Mu Yonghxia, 57 years old, lives in Unit 202 on the 2nd Floor, Entrance 1, Building 3, Rang District, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. She and her son's resident certificates have still not been issued merely because she practices Falun Gong (Editor's Note: the residential certificates referred to are special documents issued to all urban dwellers in China. Without such documentation, they may be forced out of the cities into even more difficult lives in the countryside).
Falun Gong saved Ms. Mu who was once critically ill. However, because she remains firm in her practice, she has suffered severe persecution. At the end of the year 2000 she was forced to "buy out the years of work experience (job seniority)." The perpetrators wanted to ruin Ms. Mu financially. She was arrested on the road and detained. As a result, her family has been broken up. Someone from certain government agencies broke into her residence and stole her personal belongings. She was compelled to become homeless and destitute. Her son was expelled from school and was unable to find a job. They were not permitted to have a residency certificate. Furthermore, she was again arrested and her health is now in a critical condition. Personnel from the local police station took all of her money, personal belongings and her ID card.
I. Falun Gong saved her from a critical illness
In the past Ms. Mu had heart, liver, stomach and kidney problems. She also was disabled from arthritis and classified as having a "second grade disability." She went for long-term treatment to no avail and suffered from daily misery. At the end of 1998 she started practicing Falun Gong. Soon after that she fully recovered without taking a single pill. Falun Gong saved her life. Her entire family was happy.
II. She paid a heavy price for consistently practicing Falun Gong during the persecution
On July 20, 1999, Jiang's regime started the extensive persecution of Falun Gong. At the end of 2000, because she remained firm in her cultivation, Ms. Mu was forced to "buy out the years of work experience (job seniority)" and became financially ruined. On May 5, 2001, personnel from Honggang District Local Police Station arrested her on her way to a relative's home and transferred her to the District Police Station. She was detained in the Daqing Detention Center for a month. After that, she was transferred to the Sa District Detention Center where she started a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention.
After 19 days, when she was already unable to walk, the Rang District Police Station and police officers Sun Huiwen and Wang (team leader) from the Changqing Local Police Station dragged her to the Daqing No. 3 Hospital (a mental hospital). She suffered severe mental and physical injuries in that hospital. She protested to the hospital authorities but they replied, "We can't do anything for you. You are a political issue. We are asked to treat you and this is how we treat you. We have no right to release you. If you want to leave, you have to get permission from the police station."
The police station controls the hospital. When they administered drugs to her she resisted. Hence, four or five hospital personnel used rope to tie her to the bed. They injected her with drugs that destroy the central nervous system. They also force-fed her with drugs that made her feel dizzy, caused her to have blurred vision and left her unable to stand straight. Her body was shaking, she often lost her balance and she frequently fell over. In the evenings when she had to use the toilet she fell and her knees bled. She had to crawl back to her hospital ward. Twenty days later, she was tortured so severely that her eyesight became dull. She became comatose. Later her friends rescued her.
After practicing the Falun Gong exercises for half a year she could physically support herself and went home. By then her husband had already remarried. Her over- 90-year-old mother had died due to long-term mental stress. During this time, police officer Sun Huiwen from the Changqing Local Police Station took 380.6 Yuan from her, which still has not been returned. Chu Yanchun, the principal of the Yuanwang Elementary School withheld over 9,000 Yuan from her buy-out payment. (In June 2000, this same principal also withheld close to 10,000 Yuan of her money after she came back from her appeal trip to Beijing.)
At the beginning of 2002 she and her son moved to their new residence, Unit 202, 2nd Floor, Entrance 1, Building 3 in the 3rd District. At around 1:00 p.m. on August 13, local policeman Cheng Long and several other officers tried to break into her residence. They struck the door, broke the lock and covered the peephole. Ms. Mu and her son firmly resisted and the ensuing standoff almost ended up with fatal consequences. Her son was not a practitioner. Worried that his mom would be tortured again, he wanted to use an electric discharge on the door to stop the police from entering, but Ms. Mu stopped him. By the next morning, her son became so exasperated that he wanted to break out with a knife and fight to death with the police who were blocking their residence. Facing condemnation from the local residents, at 3:00 p.m. the chief of the police station left with his men. For the safety of her son, Ms. Mu went into exile and became homeless and destitute so that the police could not find her.
A few days later, personnel from the Rang District Local Police Station ransacked several local practitioners' residences and arrested more than 30 practitioners. The police also ransacked her residence. Since she had already left, no one was arrested.
In the summer of 2004 her son was 19 years old. Because Ms. Mu had been persecuted, he had not been able to go to school regularly. He planned to start a small business of his own to make a living. Yet, since they did not have ID cards, she and her son had to go get one. For over a year, the Rang District Local Police Station officials created obstacles in every way, trying not to issue them the required ID cards. Her son was extremely frustrated.
On June 3, 2005, Ms. Mu came to the local police station again to get her residence certificate. She waited for the whole day, but they would not issue one for her. In the evening she went to practitioner Xu Shuzhen's residence to get some food. Unfortunately, it so happened that the local police station was ransacking Xu's residence at the time that she went there. The police snatched Mu Yongxia's handbag and arrested her. Inside the handbag were over 600 Yuan, a cell phone, a watch and some other items. At 2:00 a.m. on June 4, she was taken to Daqing Detention Center against her will and locked up.
Apparently Ms. Mu was severely beaten as her whole body was bruised and her chest hurt. She was unable to breathe. She had difficulty turning her body around. The prison guard urged a group of criminals to pull her off her bed and force her into a metal chair where she was compelled to sit for two days and a night. During this time she was unconscious for nearly ten hours and almost died.
Even now she still feels dizzy, experiences a rapid heart beat and someone has to accompany her at all times. Officials at the Rang District Local Police Station did not issue a residency certificate for her. They also withheld all the documents she turned in for the certificate application, including the original and photocopy of the receipts for purchasing and returning the house, evidence of residency and photos. The police would not return the money in her handbag, saying that the money was "evidence of a crime." Furthermore, they demanded her family address and threatened that in ten days they would go to harass her family one more time.
In summary, the persecution carried out by the principal personnel from the Rang District Local Police Station and the Daqing Detention Center against Ms. Mu has violated the Chinese Constitution. Their acts of ransacking a civilian's residence, confiscating personal belongings, arresting her, forceful seizure, etc. have seriously encroached upon this Chinese citizens' rights of residency and personal property. They violate Article 13 of the Constitution, that the country should protect the citizens' legal rights of ownership of property, Article 245 of China's "Criminal Law Code," that it is illegal to randomly search a personal residence, Article 248, that it is a crime to maltreat any imprisoned personnel, Article 251, that it is illegal to deprive citizens of their freedom of belief, Article 397, that it is illegal to abuse one's authority and position, Article 399, that it is illegal to break the law for personal benefits, Article 234, that it is illegal to intentionally injure others, Article 238, that it is illegal to unlawfully detain [people], etc. Their deeds also violate the "Administrative Punishment Law" and the "People's Police Law."
We should determinedly pursue the above stated crimes until
all of the criminals are brought to justice. Justice in China should be
upheld!

On June 17, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Xu Guizhi and Ms. Li Xiulan from Aohan Qi, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Province, were arrested from their homes. They are being detained illegally in a brainwashing class at the Hedong Nursing School in Aohan Qi and are forced to watch videos which slander Falun Gong. Shao Guopeng, the village security officer for Xinnan Village, Xinhui Township, and Aohan Qi participated in the abductions.
Ms. Xu Guizhi is a farmer. Since she started practicing Falun Gong in 1994, her various illnesses have disappeared. She treats people kindly and is tolerant. She is very nice to her paralyzed father-in-law and treats her sisters-in-law with the highest degree of compassion and tolerance. She was abducted once by the police in 2004. Ms. Xu, who is a good person and a good mother, has now been abducted and forced into a brainwashing class to be "transformed." What do they want to transform such good person into?
It was learned that the authorities extorted 25,000 yuan from her family.
Ms. Xu has an 80-year-old paralyzed father-in-law who needs to be fed and bathed. He has survived until now thanks to Xu Guizhi. The construction of her house has not been finished and due to the rainy days this year, the yard is full of mud and sand. Her circumstances are very bleak. Her 50-year-old husband is a very honest and kind person, but timid and not very resourceful. He is taking care of one child and his sick father. He does not have an income and life is hard.
Ms.Xu's 70-year-old mother-in-law lives with Ms. Li Xiulan. Ms. Li's eldest daughter is 11 years old, and the younger one is six. When Ms. Xu and Ms. Li were abducted, the police deceived their family members by saying that the women only needed to sign their signatures and then they would be able to go home. Instead, they have now been detained for seven or eight days. It was learned that Ms. Li Xiulan's brother invited Liu Keqin, the head of the local 610 Office for a dinner at a hotel to try to get his sister released. Liu promised to release her, but it did not happen. On April 11, 2005, Ms. Li Xiulan was abducted and detained for more than a month. She was released after the authorities had extorted over 10,000 yuan from her family.
The 610 Office, a real terrorist organization, led by Guo Xiaoguang and Liu Keqin, and the National Security Group, led by Gong Chuanxing, abduct Falun Gong practitioners in the Auhan area to brainwashing classes and extort money from them to force them to give up their beliefs.
Since June 2005, the 610 Office, the National
Security Group and the local police stations in the Auhan area have
been abducting practitioners on a regular basis. After the abduction of
Ms. Xu Guizhi and Ms. Li Xiulan on June 17, practitioner Mr. Sun
Guorong was abducted on June 30. He was detained at a local police
station. On July 5 practitioners He Shuyan and Guan Xinlian were
abducted.

During the evening of June 27, 2005 at 10:00 p.m., a few scoundrels from Jiepai Town, Mengying County illegally ransacked the homes of practitioners in the region. While they were fumbling around inside the practitioner's homes they claimed that they were officers from the police station. If any Falun Gong materials were found, they arrested the practitioners on the spot.
Seven practitioners, Wang Weilai, Yang Shizhen and spouse, Zhang Yujiang and spouse, Liu Xiaorong and Liu Guirong of Jiepai Middle School were arrested that night. They did not find any Falun Gong related materials belonging to the practitioners in Liu Zhuang Village, so they went again the next evening. That time they abducted Liu Shengqin's wife.
Witnesses report that during that night, the leader of the 610 Office from Mengying County, Cui Huandong, went to Jiepai to personally oversee the kidnapping. The practitioners were sent to Jiepai Town Police Station. Some practitioners were fined and some had their homes ransacked. They took away all the food and valuables from Wang Weukau and Zhang Yujiang's houses.
We heard that the scoundrels severely beat the practitioners. Witnesses said that when they took Wang Weilai back home to ransack his house, Wang Weilai's face was purple and blue, and he was walking with a limp.

On July 13, Ms. He Jiao, a young teacher at Shiyan City Junior School in Hubei Province, was abducted and detained at Wuhan City Women's Prison.
According to inside sources, Shiyan City officials and the notorious 610 Office controlled the intermediate people's court and forced it to sentence He Jiao to three years in jail. The justifications they gave for the sentence were absurd. Firstly, He Jiao played a VCD which told the facts of Falun Gong to students in the classroom. It lasted for one hour and had great impact. Secondly, when the persecution of He Jiao was made known to the public, many people were able to see the facts and recognize that the Chinese Communist Party had never obeyed the law in terms of how they treated Falun Gong practitioners. Again, this created great impact on the public who learned the truth. Thirdly, Falun Gong practitioners from both the mainland and overseas made phone calls to the governmental officials after Ms. He's arrest. The officials said the phone calls put them under "great pressure."
The authorities misled the people who cared about He Jiao with their justifications, leading them to believe that it was because Falun Gong practitioners called governmental officials and clarified the truth that He Jiao was sentenced. They tried to stir hatred amongst He Jiao's family and friends to go against Falun Gong.
According to other sources, He Jiao's family spent almost 20,000 yuan in an attempt to rescue her, however the 610 Office accepted the money while still keeping her in illegal detention.

My name is Xu Yanjun. I am a Falun Gong practitioner from Huadian City. On December 14, 2004, while I was helping a fellow practitioner move, someone reported us to the police. Policemen arrested us both at the same time. They wore no uniforms and showed no ID. When I asked them why they were arresting me, they said, "You don't have to ask why. You'll find out when you get to the police station." Under these conditions, I was taken to Minghua Police Station of Huadian City.
After they took me to the police station, I wouldn't cooperate with them. I resisted being handcuffed and refused to give my name and address. A group of officers shoved me to the floor. Some of them stomped on my back and thighs. Others viciously twisted my arms. Afterwards, two plainclothes policemen put me in another room and cruelly beat me. Later, they dragged me upstairs, forced me to sit on the floor with my legs straight and bent my upper body in such a way that my chest touched my thighs. At the same time, they pulled my arms backwards. I could barely breathe in that position. After a while, they brought in a steel chair, made me sit on it, and cuffed both of my hands behind my back to the steel chair. Being handcuffed in this position cut off the circulation, and my hands became numb. Because I asked them so strenuously, and because they were afraid that they might cause something bad to happen, they released my hands from behind my back, but I was still handcuffed to the chair. It was wintertime and very cold sitting on the steel chair. I was handcuffed to the chair for two days.
The second night, they took me to the police station in Huadian City. As the officers introduced themselves to each other, I overheard that three of them were Security Section Agents from Jilin City. Yu Jinji, the director of the Huadian City Security Section, told me, "I am known as The Evil Policeman Yu Jinji." Later, they took me to an interrogation room. All of them left except the police from the Jilin Security Section. One of them told me, "Don't bother reminding me about the law. I'm not afraid of being sued. It's useless for you to sue me. I don't want to say too much. You'd better tell me what you know. Otherwise, as you can see..." and he pointed at the instruments of torture.
After I told them I knew nothing, they began to torture me. They forced me to sit on a steel chair and cuffed my hands behind my back, with one hand forced up the middle of my back from below and the other hand forced down the middle of my back from over my shoulder. They were afraid that cuts on my wrists from the handcuffs might be used as evidence of torture, so they covered my wrists with towels. One of the officers, who was big and tall, stood right behind me. He yanked my head back by pulling my hair, forcing my nose and face upward. Another officer held a water bottle containing a kind of white liquid drug they called "Hot-root." There was a hole in the cap of the water bottle. He pointed the hole at my nose and squeezed the bottle, forcing the drug through my nose and into my stomach. The drug made me throw up white bubbles. I almost choked to death because I couldn't breathe. My whole head was tingling, numb, and swollen. I started to feel fuzzy and couldn't think clearly. The choking and vomiting was more unbearable than all the other tortures. In addition, the drugged water had a very intense, spicy smell. Tears and mucous poured out of my nose due to the strong stimulus of the drug. Furthermore, the drug gave me intense stomach cramps. The pain was beyond description. I felt like I was struggling on the verge of death. They didn't stop with only one application of the drug. When they saw me start to breathe, they pumped more of it into me. I was tortured five or six times this way. During the process, a police officer was always standing next to me with a very thick wooden stick. Later I was told that this kind of torture could easily cause death if the drug went into the lungs. If that were to happen, the person who held the stick was to beat the victim in the belly to expel the drug from the lungs. What a brutal and vicious method of torture this is!
This is one of the tortures commonly used on Falun Gong
practitioners. To this day they continue to use this same cruel and
foul method to dangerously persecute Falun Gong practitioners. I want
to expose their evil deeds in this article and call for help to stop
this horrific treatment of innocent people.

Around the date of the Chinese New Year 2005, the Chinese Communist Party put a lot of money into the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp Brainwashing Center (known to the public as the "Law Education School") to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners who assisted in the rescue of practitioner Gao Rongrong were detained at this brainwashing center after they were arrested. Gao Rongrong was also persecuted here for some time when she was arrested the second time, after her rescue.
The main perpetrators here are guards Shi Fengyou, Guan Yuping and guard Jiang. They incite collaborators to directly carry out forced-brainwashing of steadfast practitioners. The collaborators include: Chen Jie (male, 48), Li Guifu (female), Zhang Shiying (female, 64), Wang Yan (male, 40), Lan Li (female), Yu Jie (female), Yang Lijuan (female), and several others whose names are not known. Chen Jie lives in Sujiatun District, and Wang Yan lives in Liushu Village, Kangping County. Li Guifu is notorious for her ruthless beating of practitioners. Zhang Shiying lives in Dadong District, and often writes materials that are used by other people who are transformed. These collaborators are paid 20 yuan per day to do brainwashing.
Since the Chinese New Year, the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp
Brainwashing Center has organized three or four forced brainwashing
classes. The basic process includes:
Collaborators become friendly with steadfast practitioners by providing some good food and drinks, as well as "care."
They quote parts of Zhuan Falun out of context, distorting the original meaning, and force practitioners to watch videos that stigmatize Falun Gong in order to try to brainwash them. If this does not work, they go on to the next step.
Intimidation. The collaborators threaten practitioners with the following statements: "If you don't want to be "transformed," we can easily make you a fool, insane, and you may even die. If you die, we can say it is because your practice made you go insane and commit self immolation, and it has nothing to do with the labor camp or the evil Communist Party. No one will listen to your complaints. We will sentence you to one to three years of imprisonment, where you will receive worse treatment. We can easily cremate you," etc.
If intimidation doesn't work, corporal punishment will be utilized. Practitioners are forced to squat, stand or sit on concrete ground for long periods of time. They are deprived of sleep and use of the toilet, forced to listen to defamatory statements slandering Falun Gong, and even coerced to sit on the book "Zhuan Falun," which is placed on the ground by the collaborators. If practitioners refuse to do so, collaborators kick and beat them. This is how a group of collaborators attack a steadfast practitioner. On the surface, the guards won't appear to have direct involvement in the persecution. The advantage of this strategy is that while they can claim credit and ask for rewards if someone is "transformed," guards nevertheless escape responsibility, and blame the collaborators if a practitioner is persecuted to disability, injury or death.
The brainwashing center typically holds a "farewell ceremony" for the so-called "transformed" people who were "transformed" under pressure. At the ceremony, the guards will force these practitioners to express their gratitude for the evil brainwashing education, and the leaders of the brainwashing center hypocritically utter a few words of good wishes, creating a false impression of "positive effects of education" on Falun Gong practitioners, and deceiving the public with their lies.
Recently, male Falun gong practitioners at Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp have been transferred to Shenyang City's Shenxin Forced Labor Camp (situated in Yuhong District). The guards tortured practitioners who refused to be "transformed" with electric shocks.
