  • The People in Spain Condemn the CCP for Killing Practitioner Gao Rongrong

After hearing the shocking news of their fellow practitioner Gao Rongrong being tortured to death, Spanish practitioners felt full of grief and indignation in their hearts and held a series of peaceful protests on Sun Gate Square in the Madrid city centre, and also at the Chinese Embassy. Practitioners called for public attention to the campaign of genocide against Falun Gong practitioners, which has been going on since 1999.

Kindhearted western people condemn CCP's murdering Falun Gong practitioners

On June 26, 2005, Spanish Falun Gong practitioners went to Sun Gate Square at Madrid to hold an anti-torture exhibition. After learning that Gao Rongrong was disfigured by seven hours of continuous electric shock torture a year before she was killed, kind-hearted Spanish people felt shock and anger. A crowd of Spanish people and tourists from all over the world lined up to sign their names on a petition to support Falun Gong.

People were shocked after learning about the inhuman persecution in China

People lined up to sign a petition to support Falun Gong

One gentleman was from Eastern Europe and had first-hand experience of persecution and fear under the Communist Party. He shouted loudly to people around him: "The CCP is really mean and barbaric! Be cautious and keep away from the CCP!"

After viewing pictures and watching the anti-torture exhibition, a female attorney was moved and insisted on holding a banner for practitioners. She said, "In the past I was always busy making money, now I am deeply moved by your efforts to uphold justice. I sincerely want to do something for you."

Another gentleman said that he had worked in China for three years and that on the surface China seems prosperous, but actually brutal human rights violations are happening behind the scenes. He said he would certainly tell all of his friends and more people what he had seen at the anti-torture exhibition.

    Chinese people are awakening

A young Chinese gentleman brought his wife to see the pictures and she could not help but cry as she learned about the human rights abuses against Falun Gong. An overseas Chinese who lived in Spain for many years signed his name on the petition and told practitioners, "Your spirit moves me, thanks for all you have done. My friends and I often talk about Falun Gong. We all support you. I hope you can hold more activities like this."

Sun Gate Square is a famous Spanish tourist attraction and the tourists come from all over the world, including Mainland China. A tour group from China passed by the torture exhibition site and many members of the group took leaflets and video-CDs. The two leaders of the group also viewed the anti-torture exhibition. The practitioners are aware that these tour guides are under strict instructions from the CCP to mislead their groups about Falun Gong so practitioners told them about the persecution. The guides did not say a word but moved away from the practitioners. Then they said to their group members who were reading the material: "Don't read it, it's false." However nobody paid attention to their words and continued to read the material they received.

Spanish practitioners held anti-torture exhibitions many times around the country. In the beginning, the Chinese people did not want to watch or did not dare to watch. Later, some Chinese people did watch the exhibition but stood at a distance. Recently, some Chinese people dared to view the exhibition closely but did not dare to sign their names. Now many Chinese people not only watch the exhibition and view the pictures for a long time but also bravely sign their names on the petition. All of these changes indicate that more and more Chinese people are awakening to the truth!

Protest CCP's murdering of Ms. Gao Rongrong

On June the 26th, Spanish practitioners gathered at the Chinese Embassy in Spain to protest against the CCP for killing Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong. They also appealed for an immediate end to the persecution and for Gao's murderers to be severely punished.

Finland: Anti-Torture Exhibition Exposes the Truth about China's State Terrorism (Part 1 -- Tampere)

A Chinese lady sits in a cage and an evil-looking policeman guards the cage. Even though this was just a re-enactment, the real thing is happening right now in China to Falun Gong practitioners. The anti-torture exhibition in Tampere vividly exposed the brutal persecution that Falun Gong practitioners in China have suffered for almost six years. The exhibition helped people to understand the extreme lengths that the Chinese Communist Party will go to in their efforts to control the minds and hearts of the Chinese people.

The anti-torture exhibition began its tour in Tampere on June 15, 2005. Practitioners from Finland, Sweden and Germany took part. Practitioners informed the people about the persecution in many cities like Tampere, Jyväskylä, Kuopio, Lahti, Helsinki and Turku. Many Finnish people joined the worldwide voice to end this persecution by signing a petition.

For three days, practitioners held the anti-torture exhibition in Tampere, as well as demonstrating the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Many local people came to learn the exercises.

One passer-by told us he had been writing to the Chinese President to demand the release of all illegally detained people from China's prisons. He had seen the exhibition the day before and wanted to do something concrete to help the people who are under persecution. One elderly man helped to hold up the banner which read, "State Terrorism in China," with pictures of the victims. One gentleman asked for more leaflets to be able to hand them out to his neighbors.

People's kind heartedness and supportive words, as well as 500 signatures on the petition, provided a clear message from the Tampere people to the Chinese Communist Party: "Stop persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in China!"

United Kingdom: Stories from the Cambridge "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" International Art Exhibition

After a month's exhibition at the Cambridge University Union, we received a free offer from the Emmanuel United Reform Church to hold a week-long exhibition. This church is a special building with more than 300 years of history. During this exhibition, we met many interesting people, including her majesty Queen Elizabeth II and well-known American actress and founder of a fitness exercise regime, Jane Fonda.

The Emmanuel United Reform Church is located beside Cambridge's famous Fitzwilliam Museum. There are many tourists there on a daily basis. The church also attracts many Christian followers on Sundays.

Jane Nicolas, the administrator of the church, said, "This art exhibition has proven to be very attractive and its contents are very rich. Persecution and torture of any group or individual is fundamentally wrong. As Christians, it is our responsibility to support the people of every nation in their effort to expose and condemn all violence."

    Ms. Jane Nicolas

During the exhibition, well-known American political activist, actress and founder of a fitness exercise regime Jane Fonda was giving a seminar about her life and films in a nearby church called St. Mary's. About five hundred of her fans crowded the church. Many media representatives were also there to interview her.

St. Mary's church is located in the center of Cambridge just opposite King's college. It's a very busy tourist spot. A big banner displaying Falun Gong's principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" has been in front of the church every day for the last two years. That day, a poster advertising the art exhibition was also displayed at the entrance to the church.

During the question and answer session after Jane Fonda's talk, a practitioner had an opportunity to ask a question. The practitioner first expressed her admiration for Jane Fonda's efforts in the field of human rights. She then mentioned how Falun Gong teaches people to follow the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", how people achieve both spiritual and physical fitness through exercises, and that this excellent cultivation method is persecuted in China. The practitioners also invited Jane to visit the "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" Art Exhibition. Ms. Fonda expressed her concern and support for human rights in China, as well as her interest in Falun Gong's five sets of exercises.

A few days later, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II came to visit Cambridge. Local practitioners waited outside the Fitzwilliam Museum to welcome her and let her know about the art exhibition. One of the practitioners had the chance to give a leaflet to the Queen.

The art exhibition in Cambridge concluded successfully.
