It was shocking to hear the news that Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong, a beautiful young woman who had been tortured with electric shocks until her face was severely disfigured, passed away on June 16, 2005 in the emergency room of China Medical University First Attached Hospital in Shenyang City after being tortured again. The Taiwan Falun Dafa Association held a press conference on June 24 in the February 28 Memorial Peace Park to strongly condemn the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) murder of Gao Rongrong. Association Director Chang Ching-hsi called on the world's people to pay attention to the inhuman murder, and to condemn and hold Luo Gan and other perpetrators responsible for the crime, and help end the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
In front of the monument in the 2/28 Peace Park symbolizing peace, tolerance and understanding, practitioners' exposing the CCP's persecution caught the attention of visitors and local people.

This Persecution is Real
A young lady from the U.S. who once worked in China said, "I believe this is true. The CCP uses extreme measures in the persecution of human rights. I heard of cases of persecuting people for their belief and felt that it was not safe there. I left after one year."
Photos of Ms. Gao's disfigurement were revealed in the international media, drawing peoples' attention and creating shock and indignation. The CCP was eager to destroy the witness. Under the order of China's 610 Office leader Luo Gan, the Liaoning Province Political and Judiciary Committee, 610 Office, Procuratorate, judicatory and police departments cooperated to block the news about Gao Rongrong and to intensify the persecution in secret. For a short period of time, Ms. Gao was rescued by Falun Gong practitioners, but she was arrested again in March 2005. She died in custody, becoming the 2,584th practitioner documented to have been tortured to death.
Concerning the 610 Office, recently former Chinese diplomat Chen Yonglin and former 610 officer Hong Fengjun in Australia confirmed that the agency was specially set up by former Chinese President Jiang Zemin on June 10, 1999 to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. For 6 years, the office has executed orders related to the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Mr. Hao defected to Australia because his conscience would no longer allow him to carry out the persecution.
A Western visitor carefully folded the flyer exposing the persecution of Ms. Gao after reading it and said, "Never go to China."

Why Do They Want to Do This?
Many passers-by were shocked at the photos showing Ms. Gao's disfigurement, "What's wrong? Why was this beautiful lady tortured so brutally?"
A policeman standing under a tree to observe the press conference said, after accepting the truth-clarification literature, "A lady practicing exercises does not bother anyone. Why was she murdered so cruelly?"
A staff member working in the park administration said to the practitioners applying for a permit to hold the press conference, "Looking at you, I know the practice is good. I don't know why the CCP wants to persecute you"

Don't Become an Accomplice to the CCP's Brutal Persecution of Kind People
Director Wu Hulin of the China Human Rights Association said, "Now everyone is paying attention to China's growing economy, but they are becoming an accomplice of the CCP in the persecution of kind people without realizing it. It is estimated that the CCP uses one fourth of China's GDP on the persecution of Falun Gong. Foreign and Taiwanese business investments are manipulated by the CCP to help continue the persecution of Falun Gong."
Retribution Will Come Soon
A little girl facing upward asked her mom, "How come her face (Ms. Gao's) looks so?" Her mom told her gently, "She was shocked by a group of thugs using electric batons." The girl, touching her face, asked, "Why?" Her Mom answered, "The thugs didn't want to let her believe in Falun Gong. So they damaged her face." The little girl asked again, "Do they know that God will punish those who commit such wrongdoing?" Her mom nodded, "The day will come soon."

Kind-hearted People Join in Calling for the Murderers to be Brought to Justice
Director Ming Chu-Cheng from the Taiwan Association for Rescuing Falun Gong Practitioners Being Persecuted said, "Submission to tyranny is due to fear of tyranny. Many people dare not see the photos of Ms. Gao's disfigurement. The exposure of the CCP's brutal persecution, however, is to help people awaken their conscience and to bring the murderers, who are using the state machine to kill kind-hearted people, to justice."
Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong was tortured to death, news of which has shocked the world. On the morning of June 24, 2005, Korean practitioners held a press conference in front of the Chinese Embassy and strongly condemned the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP's) atrocity. They called for an end to the persecution and for bringing the murderers to justice. Practitioners also called on Chinese diplomats in embassies and consulates to denounce the CCP and to stop being accomplice to the brutal persecution.
Ms. Gao Rongrong, an accountant at the Luxun Fine Arts College in Shenyang City, was abducted from her home by local police on June 22, 2003, and taken to Longshan Forced Labor Camp. On May 7, 2004, she was shocked with electric batons for 6 hours and her face was grossly disfigured.
Ms. Gao was successfully rescued by Falun Gong practitioners in October 2004. Photographs of her disfigured face were publicized widely to expose the brutal persecution. The Public Security Department labeled Ms. Gao's escape as the "Number 26 Case." At this point, 610 Office head Luo Gan personally took charge of the ongoing persecution plan. Instructed by Luo Gan, the Liaoning Province CCP Political Judiciary Committee, the Procuratorate, the Department of Justice and the Police Department collectively concealed information about Ms. Gao Rongrong's case. Those practitioners thought to have been involved in her rescue were rounded up and cruelly tortured. Gao Rongrong was unfortunately rearrested in March 2005, and detained until she died as a result of further persecution. On June 16, 2005, Ms. Gao died in the emergency room of China Medical University Hospital of complications stemming from torture and abuse in custody following nearly two years of incarceration, brainwashing attempts, and torture for her beliefs.
Recently, three former CCP officials who have defected to Australia exposed inside details of the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong. Their revelations have astounded the world and brought the attention of the international community. Ms. Gao's death further exposes the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
The murder of Shenyang Falun Gong practitioner Gao Rongrong on June 16, 2005 shocked the world. In the evening of June 22, Sydney practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front of the Chinese Consulate to memorialize Ms. Gao. Practitioners also held a press conference to strongly condemn the CCP's murder of practitioners, and called to severely punish Tang Yubao and Jiang Zhaohua, the prison guards who shocked Ms. Gao's face repeatedly with electric batons, resulting in her severe disfigurement.

John Deller, representative of the New South Wales Falun Dafa Association, talked about the severe torture Ms. Gao was subjected to. On May 7, 2004, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Tang Yubao, the deputy head of the No. 2 Brigade, along with team leader Jiang Zhaohua, summoned Ms. Gao to the duty office and began to torture her by means of electric batons for some 7 hours. Ms. Gao's face was covered with blisters and her hair was matted with pus and blood. So severe were the injuries that she was left disfigured and had difficulty seeing. After the shocking photos of her disfigured face made their way overseas, Ms. Gao's case received great concern and was submitted to related government offices in the U.S. and other nations and presented to the United Nations. On October 5, 2004, Ms. Gao - having recovered sufficiently to be moved - was able to leave the hospital with the help of a small group of friends. As international pressure mounted concerning Gao Rongrong's case, one of China's highest-ranking officials stepped in: Politburo Standing Committee member Luo Gan. Luo proceeded to order the Liaoning Province Chinese Communist Party Political Judiciary Committee, the Procuratorate, the Department of Justice, and the Police Department to conceal any and all information about Ms. Gao's case. On March 6 Ms. Gao was located by police and again arrested. Neither her location nor her condition was revealed to family members until June 12, when they learned that she was being held at Masanjia Hospital. According to Ms. Gao's family, by the time they reached the hospital on June 12, Gao Rongrong had lost consciousness, her organs were atrophying, and she was hooked up to a respirator. They say she was little more than "skin and bones." Ms. Gao was then transferred to China Medical University Hospital, where she died four days later, on June 16.
Despite the fact that the CCP has denied that it had established 610 Office in order to implement the persecution against Falun Gong, Mr. Deller said that Chen Yonglin and another former "610 Office" member who had recently defected to Australia both confirmed the existence of the "610 Office." The two officials also confirmed that the persecution of Falun Gong is very systematic and is very widespread, with suppression and arbitrary killing in China. The CCP has also exported the persecution overseas by creating blacklists, conducting harassment and even paying thugs to carry out violence against practitioners in countries outside of China.
In her speech, practitioner Jane Dai said: "The persecution made me a widow with a baby of just one year old. My husband was persecuted to death four years ago and the killing of practitioners is still ongoing. The death of Ms. Gao has just confirmed this sad fact. I want to take this opportunity to warn all officials who are still participating in the persecution: you should follow what Chen Yonglin and Hao Fengjun have done, to denounce the CCP and step forward to expose the persecution. I also call upon the Australian government and all Australians to face this unprecedented genocide against innocent civilians and help end this persecution against good people."
Australian citizen Rui Jun said with great sorrow: "My heart was broken when I heard about the death of Gao Rongrong. It reminded of my mother. For refusing to give up her belief in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," my mother was detained at Qingpu Forced Labor Camp in Shanghai and was subjected to brainwashing and physical torture. The authorities even fabricated a letter of my handwriting, claiming that I returned China and was detained in another labor camp in order to force her to denounce Falun Gong. My mother couldn't bear such a pressure and was on the brink of mental collapse. She was soon found to have cancer, but she was not released until she was in critical condition. The Chinese Consulate in Sydney, however, unreasonably refused to issue me a visa. Even though I am the only child, I could not pay a last visit to my mom."
As three former Chinese CCP officials have in succession defected to Australia recently, and then revealed many shocking details of the CCP's overseas persecution of Falun Gong and dissidents, the Australian mainstream media has started to report on how practitioners have been harassed and threatened. The facts enumerated by practitioners have shocked many kind-hearted Australians.
David Liang narrated how he and eight other practitioners were attacked in South Africa when they were on their way to file a lawsuit against Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong: "We were driving on the highway from the airport to the city. A white passenger car followed us from behind and forced our car to pull over, and thugs in the car then shot at us. My ankles were hit by the bullets. They didn't rob us. The South African police has classified this case as an assassination attempt. I believe that only the CCP would do this, as they wanted to stop us from suing one of its leaders. My experience tells me how evil the CCP is and I have tried my best to tell the public about how the CCP is persecuting Falun Gong. For this very reason, someone recently broke into my house in China and repeatedly slammed my father's head against the wall. My father is now still in the hospital. However, I want to tell the CCP: 'You are so stupid. This only confirms the charges against you by the three officials who have defected.' "
Li Ying, a Mainland practitioner rescued to Australia, told the reporter: "This persecution is among the most brutal and vicious in the history of mankind. However, the CCP has been exhausting all possible resources to cover up its crimes. Consequently, many Chinese people don't know the truth, and many kind-hearted people overseas have been misled by the CCP's propaganda. As they don't know the truth, they can't offer help to practitioners, and the persecution manages to survive. However, as the three former Chinese officials have recently defected to Australia, the curtain of persecution has been torn slightly, so that people can now see the evil nature of the CCP. Though I have been in Australia for a rather short time, I have discovered that Australians are very pure and kind. I believe that more and more people will step forward to condemn and help us stop this persecution once they learn the truth."
On June 4, 2005, Swiss Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in Luzern, and collected petition signatures calling for the rescue of Ms. Qiu Minghua, who is illegally imprisoned in China for practicing Falun Gong.
A Swiss Parliament meeting was held on June 8. Falun Gong practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition and collected signatures in the busy streets nearby.

According to the Clearwisdom website, the persecution of Falun Gong in Mainland China was recently intensified, so Falun Gong practitioners urged the parliament members gathered in Bern to do all they could to help stop the persecution.
The torture simulations shocked many people. A child
pointed at the practitioner playing a Chinese Communist Party policeman
and said angrily, "Quickly call the police to take the scoundrel away.
How can he torture the woman like that?" People were shocked when they
viewed the pictures of the torture and listened to practitioners'
statements about the ongoing persecution in China. Some of them shed
tears. Many people had already received leaflets and signed their names
on the petition.

The practitioners told people that the signatures are for a petition to rescue a Swiss university student's mother who has been illegally detained for over six months, just for being a good person by following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Many people signed their names in the hope that Ms. Qiu would be freed soon, and that the brutal persecution would soon end.
