Mr. Tang Shikui is 42 years old. He was a shoe craftsman in the Sixth Group of Zhulin Village, Mianhuapo Town, Naxi Precinct, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. On February 20, 2001, Mr. and Mrs. Tang were working at their booth when the Communist Party Branch Secretary of Zhulin Village, Mr. Chen Fuxiang, and a policeman named Long Wuhou from the Mianhuapo Police Station in Naxi Precinct, unlawfully arrested Mr. Tang. They also ransacked Mr. and Mrs. Tang's home without a search warrant.

Mr. Tang was sent to a local brainwashing center where he was monitored around the clock. The brainwashing class moved four times before finally being conducted at Xianhe Hotel in Tianxiandong. Mr. Tang was locked in a room and forbidden to leave. He was not allowed to use hot water during the winter. His food was rationed and consisted mainly of rotten vegetables. He was only allowed to take a bath every ten days to two weeks. He was forbidden to speak to anyone outside the room. There were at least one dozen Falun Gong practitioners in the brainwashing center while Mr. Tang was imprisoned there. For a period of three years, Mr. Tang was not allowed to leave his room or see the sun. He was imprisoned in the brainwashing center until August 13, 2003.

Even after Mr. Tang returned home, the police monitored him for a very long time. The police ransacked his home at will, and held Mr. Tang and his family in constant terror. There was never a moment of peace for them.

Ms. Yang Li is 41 years old. She is a Falun Gong practitioner from Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. On the morning of November 25, 2003, Mr. Liu and two police officers from the State Security Team of Midtown Police Department in Guangyuan City illegally arrested Ms. Yang at her office. The police ransacked her office and home without a search warrant. They confiscated computers, Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials.

Ms. Yang was unlawfully detained in the Wangcang County Detention Center for 53 days. During her illegal detention, she was interrogated by the police. They wanted to know who gave her the truth-clarification materials. They threatened to sentence her to two to three years of forced labor if she refused to reveal the whereabouts of the practitioners who gave her the Falun Gong materials. Ms. Yang was imprisoned in the forced labor camp for close to one year before she was transferred to a brainwashing center for further persecution.

On October 15, 2004, Mr. Tan and Mr. Feng Kai from the State Security Team of the Police Department in downtown Guangyuan City, as well as Mr. Liu Min from the 610 Office in downtown Guangyuan City, transferred Ms. Yang Li from the forced labor camp to Lianhuashanzhuang Forced Brainwashing Center in Guangyuan City. The following day, Ms. Yang practiced the Falun Gong exercises as usual. Yue Wushan, a male warden at the brainwashing center, punished her by depriving her of sleep and forcing her to stand still for five consecutive days and nights. The prolonged standing caused Ms. Li's lower legs to swell to the size of her thighs. After five days, Ms. Yang was unable to walk. The efforts of the hired thugs at the brainwashing center were unsuccessful in getting her to renounce Falun Gong.

The Guangyuan City Brainwashing Center was established in May of 2004. To date, there have been at least 60 Falun Gong practitioners imprisoned in this center. Many practitioners have suffered savage beatings and other forms of physical and mental torture. Some practitioners were tied to a bed (called the Death Bed), for seven days and nights, and deprived of sleep during that time. Some practitioners suffered mental breakdowns as a result of the severe torture, and were unable to take care of themselves.

Ms. Cheng Sigui is a 65-year-old Falun Gong practitioner. She was a factory worker from Longmatan Precinct, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. Before she practiced Falun Gong she suffered from many illnesses, including hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, plasma cell cancer and breast cancer. Both of her breasts had been removed in efforts to treat her cancer. In addition, she had difficulties with her right elbow after fracturing it. Her illnesses forced her to go to the hospital often, and she suffered a great deal of pain. Her annual medical costs were several thousand to several tens of thousands of yuan. After Ms. Cheng began to practice Falun Gong in May of 1996, all of her illnesses and medical problems disappeared. She no longer had to pay any medical expenses.

In July of 1999, Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party began to openly persecute Falun Gong. Starting on July 19, 1999, the police ransacked her home five times and arrested and detained Ms. Cheng repeatedly.

Because Ms. Cheng's husband was a volunteer contact person for Falun Gong in the Longmatan Precinct, the Deputy Chief from Longmatan Police Department ransacked Ms. Cheng's home on the night of July 19, 1999. The police confiscated numerous copies of Zhuan Falun, Teacher's Fa lectures on VCDs and audiotapes, and other Falun Gong materials worth over 2,000 yuan. The police illegally arrested her husband and interrogated him that night, releasing him after 9:00 a.m. the following day.

On February 12, 2001, the illegal arrests happened for a second time. The police from the local "610 Office" arrested Ms. Cheng without a warrant and sent her to Huangjingshan Detention Center. Because the police were unable to find any "evidence," her son and employer bailed her out three days later.

On September 25, 2001, the persecution happened for a third time. Because Ms. Cheng continued to clarify the truth about Falun Gong, and distributed materials telling the facts about Falun Gong, the police unlawfully ransacked her home again and detained her in the detention center. The police handcuffed her hands behind her back and chained her to the window bars. The police also threatened to torture her on the tiger bench and put her on an "electric chair." One month later, her employer and her son bailed her out after the police collected 5,000 yuan in ransom and a statement from them guaranteeing that Ms. Cheng would not practice Falun Gong after she was released.

The fourth time the police ransacked Ms. Cheng's home, she was still imprisoned. The police confiscated large banners imprinted with, "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance," that practitioners in Longmatan Precinct had used during group practice of Falun Gong exercises. They also stole many copies of Zhuan Falun and other Falun Gong materials.

On September 17, 2004, the police ransacked Ms. Cheng's home a fifth time. While the police were ransacking, Ms. Cheng and two elderly female practitioners were distributing truth-clarification materials on the streets. Lu County Police Department, Longmatan Precinct Police Department and the local "610 Office" sent a large police force and many police cars to unlawfully arrest the three elderly women. They arrested Ms. Cheng and imprisoned her in the detention center before they sentenced her to one month in a forced labor camp. During the preliminary physical examination, the doctor diagnosed that Ms. Cheng had hypertension and many other types of illnesses. Therefore, the forced labor camp refused to take her. She is currently under house arrest and police surveillance.

Luo Linrong is 53 years old. She lives in the 12th Group of Mianzi Village, Mianhuapo Township, Naxi Precinct, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. She used to suffer from anemia, fatigue, stomach problems and arthritis. She was on medication, but it did little to improve her health. In December 1998, Ms. Luo began to practice Falun Gong and to conduct herself according to Falun Gong's practicing principles of truth, compassion and forbearance. Before long, she was free from illness and became very healthy and energetic.

In December 2000, Ms. Luo borrowed several hundred yuan to travel to Beijing. She wanted to appeal for Falun Gong, but the Beijing police arrested her in front of Tiananmen Square. Three days later, the "610 Office," the State Security Team from Naxi, Luzhou, as well as some employees from the Mianhuapo Township government, came to Beijing and escorted her back to Luzhou and imprisonment in the Naxi Precinct Detention Center. In March 2001, because Ms. Luo was doing the Falun Gong exercises in the detention center, a prison doctor surnamed Kong put her in handcuffs for 11 days and nights. Three months later, Dr. Kong suddenly suffered a stroke and died. It is most likely that, according to traditional Chinese wisdom, Dr. Kong met with karmic retribution for persecuting Falun Gong. In addition, a prison policeman named Zhang Jinhui used a police baton to beat Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Lin Guanghua, Ms. Wang Huizhen, Ms. Zhang Yuanhua and four others. He, too, met with karmic retribution when he fractured three ribs in a car accident in 2002.

After nine months in the detention center, Ms. Luo was transferred to a brainwashing center run by the 610 Office, located in Luihe Guesthouse. Later, they changed the location of the brainwashing center to the Weather Bureau. In December 2002, they transferred Ms. Luo and many other practitioners in a van to the Tianxiandong Hotel. They locked them in separate single rooms and forbade them from talking to each other. In June 2003, the 610 Office collected a ransom from their families in exchange for their freedom. For those who could not afford to pay the ransom, the 610 Office would take the practitioner's house for ransom. Ms. Luo and two other practitioners went on a hunger strike to protest the collection of ransom. Mr. Zhang Yong, the mastermind behind the brainwashing center, threatened to torture them with force-feeding and injections of psychiatric drugs. The practitioners remained unmoved by the threats. Ms. Luo even told him, "You will face legal consequences if you dare to do so." On the fifth day of hunger strike, Ms. Luo and the other two practitioners were released.

However, Ms. Luo Linrong's found her home uninhabitable; weeds grew out of the brick walls and flooring, walls had fallen down and the roof had collapsed. After Ms. Luo was imprisoned, Ms. Luo's husband, Jiang Zufu, lived alone at the house. The Communist Party Secretary of the village named Guo, two police officers named Li Fuquan and Zeng Er, and a villager named Wang Fuxiu brought over 20 thugs to Ms. Luo's home and demanded money from Mr. Jiang Zufu. After having robbed 300 yuan from him, the thugs wanted more. They came to harass Mr. Jiang again to "borrow" money from him. When Mr. Jiang failed to produce the money, they stole the TV. Additionally, they called him "an enemy of the Chinese Communist Party" and threatened to put handcuffs on him and lock him up in prison. They wanted to scare him. Mr. Jiang became terrified and went into hiding. Because the house was abandoned for years, some steel bars that were going to be used for repairs were stolen, along with everything that was worth anything. Their home had become a ruin.

Mr. Wang Xiaodong, 37, graduated from Heilongjiang University with a bachelor degree. He was a deputy director of the Archive Office of the Yumen Petroleum Administration Bureau. In 1997, he became a Falun Gong practitioner. Since then, he has been following "Truth, Compassion and Forbearance" in his daily life. In 1998 he married, and his wife also became a practitioner. Together, they cared for their elderly parents and had a wonderful family life.

In April 2000, Wang Xiaodong went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, hoping the government would listen to his honest feedback. While walking to Beijing, he was stopped by police in Shanxi Province and was sent home. Since that time, the persecution against him has continuously escalated. His employer first removed his job responsibilities and then fired him. In the end of October 2000, he visited Beijing again. This time the police from the Beijing Qianmen Police Station arrested him. When his employer came to pick him up, he escaped and went into hiding.

During this period, he was more determined about practice and overcame difficulties to clarify the facts to people who had been deceived by the government. In April 2001, he once again went to Beijing's Tiananmen Square to display a banner and yelled aloud, "Falun Dafa is Great!" Police from Tiananmen Police Station arrested him and beat him badly. That night, he was sent to Tongzhou Detention Center. During police interrogation, he refused to give his name and address to the police. He also started a hunger strike. Nine days later, he was released. Once outside, he was followed by national security secret police. Later he was arrested again outside Jiayuguan Railroad Station along with practitioner Wang Wenzhong.

Since his second arrest, Jiuquan District government officials have singled him out for intensified persecution. They have used all kinds of tricks and methods to lure and torture him. Jiuquan City policemen Li Hongfu and Zhang Yanjiang repeatedly beat him, but they failed to make him compromise. To protest his illegal detention, he went on hunger strike four times, the longest lasting over 20 days. The torture reduced a 167 lb man to an 88 lb "skeleton." During the hunger strikes, police used forced feeding to torture him, but he refused to give in. At last, the police had to use an IV solution to keep him alive. Even under this severe situation, the police still put him on a "door board torture" normally used on death row prisoners. The authorities failed to shake his belief after trying all kinds of tactics. Finally, they secretly sentenced him to eight years in prison using fabricated evidence.

At the end of November 2002, Wang Xiaodong's father, who was over 80, passed away from the stress of long-term mental torture and anguish. The police denied him the right to attend his father's funeral because he had not "transformed." Wang's wife also was sent to a forced labor camp because she would not give up Falun Gong. A happy family has been torn apart by the Chinese Communist Party.

Now Wang Xiaodong is serving his jail sentence in Jiuquan Electrical Motor Plant, a prison plant owned by the Gansu provincial government. A total of 17 practitioners are serving harsh sentences at this location, where they are treated brutally. The prison guards and police never stop trying to force them to abandon their practice. These people could never understand the indestructible faith of the practitioners in Falun Gong and their Teacher.

Mr. Li Tingxun, 73 years old, was a resident of Xianrenlijia Village, Daxindian Town, Penglai City, Shandong Province. He began to practice Falun Gong in 1997, and became healthy. After the persecution began, he went to Beijing several times to appeal for  Dafa. Because of that, Mr. Li had been whisked away to brainwashing centers, harassed and threatened by the local police, and his home has been ransacked. In the brainwashing center, he was forced to do military exercises, run, dance and sing. He was deprived of sleep at night, and became disabled from the tortures. Under the persecution of depraved Li Tingxu, Mr. Li Tingxun passed away on January 30 (December 28 of the lunar calendar), 2003.

Mr. Wang Yunren was a 70-year-old Falun Gong practitioner of Yujiakuang Town, Penglai City, Shandong Province. Because he refused to give up practicing Falun Gong, he was forced into a brainwashing center and was persecuted, harassed and threatened many times. He died on January 20 (December 29 of the lunar calendar), 2004.

Ms. Chi Lianfen was a Falun Gong practitioner from Daxindian Town, Penglai City, Shandong Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for  Dafa in July 1999, told the truth to people and explained that Teacher taught us to be good people and follow "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." She was persecuted in a brainwashing center, but was very steadfast and firmly refused to denounce the practice. She was then sent to various detention centers for further persecution. Under the evil and brutal persecution, she died in March 2001.

Mr. Li Mingshan was a 63-year-old resident of Huaishuzhuang Village, Daxindian Town, Penglai City, Shandong Province. Since he began to practice Falun Gong in February 1999, he was very diligent and bought lecture videotapes and a video player in order to promote Falun Gong to more people. After July 20, 1999, he was arrested by police and taken to brainwashing centers several times. After he returned home for half a year, his old illnesses relapsed and he died on April 3, 2002.

Ms. Li Guizhen, 59 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner in Nanwang Town, Penglai City, Shandong Province. Because she practiced steadfastly, she was abducted to detention centers and brainwashing centers several times, where she was persecuted by the police. The depraved people feared she would go to Beijing to appeal for  Dafa again, so they sent her to Zibo Forced Labor Camp for three years of forced labor. She was severely persecuted and passed away in 2000.

Ms. Song Xiumei, a teacher of Penglai City, Shandong Province, went to Beijing to appeal for  Dafa and tell the truth in 2000. She was violently beaten by policemen from Chunyu Town and removed from her teaching position. The unlawful personnel constantly harassed her and intimidated her husband to cooperate in monitoring her. They kept her from studying Dafa, doing exercise, or having any sleep. They continued torturing Ms. Song Xiumei until she died from the persecution in 2001.

Mr. Chen Dabin was a 59-year-old Falun Gong practitioner in Daxindian Town, Penglai City, Shandong Province. Because he refused to give up practicing Falun Gong, he was constantly harassed and threatened by the local Gusidian Police Station. He died at the end of 2001.

Mr. Wang Yunshan was a 67-year-old retired cadre of Shandong Province's Seismological Bureau. He became a Falun Gong practitioner in 1996 and, after a year of practice, recovered from many diseases. However in July 1999, he suffered insane persecution from Jiang's scoundrel regime. After Mr. Wang Yunshan returned from Beijing from validating Dafa, officials persecuted him even more severely. They beleaguered him in a brainwashing center organized by his old workplace. The local police station and his old workplace ransacked his home many times, and confiscated Falun Gong books and materials. They also forced him to watch videos that slandered Dafa and so on. His spirit was at a loss until he collapsed and died in 2001.

Mr. Pu Shunru was a 69-year-old Falun Gong practitioner in Mixin Township, Tongnan County, Chongqing City. He was arrested, detained for a month and extorted for carrying Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in 2002. After he returned home, because he was illiterate, he lost the practice environment and lived in oppression for a long time. He became sick and passed away on August 13, 2004.

Mr. Kuang Zhonggen was 67-year-old Falun Gong practitioner in Kuzhu Village, Xinhua Township, Tongnan County, Chongqing City. In April 2000, he was arrested by the local police of the township government, detained for 45 days in the county detention center and extorted 1,500 yuan. After he was released, the personnel from the township government and local police station harassed him and ransacked his home many times; they also forced him to write a "Guarantee Statement." He lived in a state of anxiety and became sick. He died on June 19, 2004.

Mr. Jiang Yong, was a 70-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. Since he practiced Falun Gong in 1997, all of his stubborn illnesses disappeared without any medication; he benefited from the practice physically and mentally. After July 20, 1999, he got pressure and harassment from family and resident's committee. He was enormously harmed physically and mentally and suffered a relapse. He died in October 2003.

Mr. Zhou Yufeng was a 67-year-old departmental level cadre of Jiangxi Province People's Bank. He began to practice Falun Gong in 1996 and benefited a lot physically and mentally. Since Falun Gong became suppressed on July 20, 1999, he encountered long term harassment and lived under enormous pressure. His mind and body suffered greatly. He suffered a relapse and died in 2002.

Ms. Zhou Qin was a 52-year-old Falun Gong practitioner in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. She was a temporary worker for Donghu District Bureau of Industry and Commerce. She began to practice Falun Gong in 1997 and recovered from many diseases. After Falun Gong was banned on July 20, 1999, her workplace fired her with the excuse that she was a practitioner. She applied for many jobs but was unsuccessful because it was known that she practiced Falun Gong. In addition, the resident's committee, local police and her family ceaselessly harassed and threatened her, causing damage to her body and mind. Her illnesses ultimately returned and she died in 2000.

Mr. Li Wenjiang was a Falun Gong practitioner in Lushuihe Town, Fusong County, Baishan City, Jilin Province. Before the Chinese New Year of 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and suffered torture at a local police station. Afterwards, Mr. Li Wenjiang was set free, but he could no longer practice Falun Gong in the usual way. He died in March 2000.

Ms. Wen Yumei was a 61-year-old retired worker of Panshi City Nickel Industry Company in Jilin Province. She started to practice Falun Gong in 1996, went to Beijing to appeal for  the Dafa in 1999 and was held in a local detention center. In October 2002, she was arrested and taken to Panshi City brainwashing center. She has not been well since she came back, and was later diagnosed with cancer. She died in the first lunar month of 2003.

Mr. Qian Junlin was a 73-year-old retired worker of Panshi City Nickel Industry Company in Jilin Province. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1995. After July 20, 1999, his daughters were abducted by the unlawful personnel one after another. The police harassed him at home many times and caused great damage to his mind and body. His practicing of Falun Gong was interfered with and his health situation deteriorated. He died on February 16 (January 8 of the lunar calendar), 2005.

Ms. Zhang Zhilan, 37 years old, from Huludao City, Liaoning Province, began to practice Falun Gong in 1998 and became healthy in mind and body. Since Jiang's regime started to persecute Falun Gong, her family was very afraid and tried to stop her from validating Falun Dafa. However, she did many truth-clarification activities nevertheless. On the night of November 8 (October 4 of the lunar calendar), 2002, Ms. Zhang was abducted by Police Director Jiang Wende and Sheriff Zhang Fengjie of Hongluoxian Police Station while clarifying the truth. Her family spent a large amount of money for her release. After she returned home, her family was afraid and vigorously opposed her from practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Zhang Zhilan suffered huge pressure and was diagnosed with having a brain tumor. She passed away on the night of December 11, 2004.

Ms Yin Yuhua, 63 years old, was a retired doctor from Haigang District Geological Team in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she had a known incurable illness; but she no longer suffered from it after she became a practitioner. After July 20, 1999, she spoke to people about the truth of the persecution. She was abducted while distributing truth-clarification materials in 2002, locked up in a local detention center, and as a result, her diseases relapsed and she died in November 2004.

Ms. Zhang Jinhong, 50 years old, was a teacher of No. 3 Primary School in Gucheng Township, Hebei Province. She recovered from breast cancer after she practiced Falun Gong. After July 20, 1999, her husband tried to stop her from practicing with all means and interfered with her due to the pressure and propaganda of the evil Party. Additionally, she lost the practice environment and relapsed and passed away on May 17, 2005.

Mr. Zhang Yu'en, from Zhangguanting Village, Daguanting Township, Cang County, Hebei Province, began to practice Falun Gong in 1997 and became healthy. Since the persecution of Falun Gong was launched by Jiang's regime, his home was ransacked many times. He suffered a relapse and died in 2002.

Mr. Cai Peng of Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province became a Falun Gong practitioner in 1997. His daughter is also a practitioner. She was persecuted by Suihua City's 610 Office in 2001 and illegally detained for 34 months. Dong Hongming, a policeman of Suihua City's 610 Office sent her to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center for two years of forced labor. After she was set free, 610 officers and police often harassed her at home. Cai Peng was severely tormented mentally and died on November 10, 2004.

Mr. Lian Bo, 58 years old, from Wumahe District, Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, was the associate director of Wumahe District National People's Congress. He began to practice Falun Gong in 1998. In January 2000, his younger brother, nephew and niece were together arrested for validating Falun Dafa; they were illegally detained and sent to forced labor camps. Meanwhile, unlawful personnel of Yichun City's Political and Judiciary Committee, Police Department, 610 Office, and District Communist Party Committee interrogated Mr. Lian countless times. They coerced his family and relatives to make him give up his practice of Falun Gong. This caused great damage on his mind and body. He died on July 28, 2001.

Mr. Xing Shuyuan was from Zhengjiu Village, Dancheng Town, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. He had many kinds of diseases including rheumatism, arthritis, pain in the legs and waist. He could not walk steadily and had to wear cotton-padded shoes to keep his feet warm even on hot summer days. After he practiced Falun Gong, all the diseases disappeared and he became very healthy. After the persecution started in 1999, he encountered enormous pressure and passed away in December 2004.

Mr. Zhang Yuliang, 69, lived in Nangang District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, was a retired cadre of the Academy of Forestry. He was fortunate to learn Falun Gong in spring of 1998, and benefited physically and mentally after practicing. Since July 20, 1999, 610 officers and other unlawful people confiscated Falun Gong books from his home, threatened and intimidated him, and caused severe damage on his mind and body. He died in November 2002.

Ms. Liu Meixiang was 71 years old. Before she learned Falun Gong in 1997, she had neurosis, hypertension and heart disease, but all the diseases disappeared after she practiced Falun Gong and she became healthy. Due to the persecution of Jiang and the evil Communist Party, her practice environment was destroyed. She relapsed and passed away on October 12, 2002.

Ms. Ji Yunting, 67, began to practice Falun Gong in the winter of 1999 and benefited physically and mentally. Because her daughter-in-law went to Beijing to appeal for  Dafa in March 2000, the township government sent seven to eight people to her home. The daughter-in-law was not there, so they threatened and intimidated the elderly lady. On the following day, the township local police station abducted Ms. Ji's daughter-in-law to the police station; the elderly lady sighed in despair at home. Eventually she lost the capability to take care of herself. She could not talk and became paralyzed in bed. She died on January 26, 2001, the third day of the Chinese New Year.

Mr. Liu Yu, thirty years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Baichengzi City, Jilin Province. In the middle of January 2002, while he was producing truth-clarifying materials in Harbin City, he, his mother, and his girlfriend were all illegally arrested. Mr. Liu was then illegally sentenced to seven years' imprisonment, and detained at Hulan Prison in Harbin City. During this period of detention, he was subjected to forceful brainwashing. As a result of continuous abuse, he suffered from serious pulmonary tuberculosis. Because he was denied medical treatment for his condition, Mr. Liu passed away on April 3, 2005 at Hulan Prison.

Liu Yu's mother and his girlfriend were allowed to go home so they could attend his funeral. His mother, Mrs. Zong Yanxue, was illegally sentenced to seven years' imprisonment. His girlfriend, Ms. Zhang Xuedan was illegally sentenced to three years' imprisonment. Both of them are detained in Heilongjiang Women's Prison. Mr. Liu's younger brother is also a Falun Gong practitioner. He was also illegally arrested in Jilin Province, and has been sentenced to seven years' imprisonment.

Ms. Wang Guizhen, sixty-eight years old, lived in Changchun City, Jilin Province. She had gone to Beijing to appeal for  Falun Gong in 2000. As a result, she was illegally arrested and detained by the police. She was also harassed and subjected to brainwashing in the classes held by the Neighborhood Community Office. Before the Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve of 2000, Ms. Wang was entrapped by police and forced to attend a brainwashing session, where she was persecuted. In the summer of 2001, Ms. Wang was illegally sent to a detention center again and 4,000 yuan was extorted from her in fines. The unlawful officials frequently harassed her at home. Wang Guizhen was forced to become homeless and destitute for a long time, in order to avoid further persecution at home. As a result of severe physical and psychological persecution, she suffered a serious illness, and was bedridden for six months. Ms. Wang passed away during the Chinese Lunar New Year of 2005.

Ms. Zhao Shulan, fifty-six years old, lived in Zhalanyingzi Village, Sanbao Township, Beipiao City, Liaoning Province. Prior to practicing Falun Gong, she suffered from several diseases and tried many treatments, but could not be cured. In the spring of 1998, she started practicing Falun Gong. Several days after she started practicing, she regained her health and her body became relaxed. From that point on, Ms. Zhao cultivated in Falun Dafa. After the evil persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, the unlawful officials from the 610 Office repeatedly went to her home and harassed her. They even deceived her and sent her to a so-called "Brainwashing Center" and subjected her to forceful brainwashing there. None of these things could change her firm belief in Falun Dafa. In autumn of 2003, Ms. Zhao's daughter-in-law was influenced so much by the slanderous Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda that she drove Ms. Zhao out by threatening her husband with divorce. Ms. Zhao, her daughter, and her husband who was in poor health, had to move out of their own three-bedroom home, which had been built by Ms. Zhao. Under such long-term pressure, Ms. Zhao suffered tremendous pain both physically and mentally. She was diagnosed with leukemia in the winter of 2004, and passed away on March 30, 2005.

Mrs. Zhang Shounian, ninety years old, lived with her daughter in Huludao City, Liaoning Province. She and her daughter all started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. Soon, her body gradually returned to a vigorous, healthy and youthful state. She walked with lightness, not at all like a ninety-year-old woman who had her feet bound to make them smaller. Her heart was benevolent and she was so kind, like an innocent and pure child. Jiang Zemin and the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999,  so her daughter peacefully appealed for justice for Falun Gong in Beijing in 2000. As a result, she was illegally detained in the detention center of Huludao City for more than three months. During this detention, the police repeatedly searched Mrs. Zhang's home without a warrant, confiscated their family property, and extorted money from them in fines. All this caused Mrs. Zhang huge psychological pressure, and she quickly passed away. After Mrs. Zhang's death, her son-in-law went to the detention center to ask the police there to let his wife return home to see her mother for the last time and attend the funeral. His request was denied.

Mrs. Wang Shujuan, sixty years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Anchangxian Village, Nuanchitang Township, Nanpiao District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1996, she became very healthy. Since the persecution began in 1999, Mrs. Wang persisted in her belief, and peacefully appealed for Falun Dafa. As a result, she was illegally detained in Nanpiao District Detention Center several times. The police from Nuanchitang Police Substation frequently went to her home, harassed her, searched her home without a warrant, and confiscated her property, causing tremendous physical and psychological torment. At the end of 2000, Mrs. Wang and her husband appealed for Dafa in Beijing again, and she was again illegally detained in Nanpiao District Detention Center. At the beginning of 2001, Wang Shujuan was illegally sent to a forced labor camp. Six months later, while she was being persecuted in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, Mrs. Wang displayed the symptoms of cerebral thrombosis, and was released. After she returned home, she remained extremely weak, and she was completely unable to work. Her husband looked after her all day long. Mrs. Wang passed away on October 1, 2004.

Mrs. Liu Penglan, seventy-eight years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Anchangxian Village, Nuanchitang Town, Nanpiao District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province. When she started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, she became very healthy. After the evil CCP started the persecution in 1999, Mrs. Liu and her daughter-in-law went to Shenyang and then Beijing to peacefully appeal for Falun Dafa. As a result, they were forcibly sent back to their hometown and further persecuted there. Mrs. Liu peacefully appealed for Falun Gong in Beijing again in December 1999. She was illegally detained in Nanpiao District Detention Center, and was released on bail five days later. Because Mrs. Liu and her daughter-in-law would not give up practicing Falun Gong, they were repeatedly harassed by the local police. Mrs. Liu's health deteriorated as a result of the continuous persecution, and she passed away in October 2004.

Mrs. Zhang Sanni, eighty-six years old, lived in Xinji City, Hebei Province. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, all her previous diseases quickly disappeared, and she always said that Dafa had saved her life. After the CCP started persecuting Falun Dafa, Mrs. Zhang was repeatedly harassed and threatened by the Tiangongying Village Police Substation. Her family members were repeatedly arrested and the unlawful officials extorted money from them in fines. The ongoing persecution caused Mrs. Zhang tremendous pain both physically and mentally. She passed away on February 7, 2004.

Mrs. Su Xinyue, seventy-eight years old, lived in Tangfeng Village, Tangfeng Town, Shenzhou City, Hebei Province. She suffered from illness and lacked energy before obtaining Dafa in 1992. Through reading the books and practicing the Falun Gong exercises, all her previous diseases disappeared and she became energetic. However, because of the persecution against Falun Gong, Mrs. Su no longer had a good practice environment. Because she could only recognize a few words, she could not study the Fa by herself and she could not practice the exercises normally. Her illness relapsed, and she passed away in the winter of 2004. Mrs. Zhang's son, who also practiced Falun Dafa, was abducted and taken to a brainwashing class, where he was persecuted to the point of suffering a mental collapse. To this day, he is still not clear-minded.

Mrs. Wang Lanfen, sixty-two years old, lived in Dongantai Village, Huangqibao Town, Anqiu City, Weifang County, Shandong Province. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, all her previous diseases disappeared quickly and effortlessly. During the most severe period of the persecution against Falun Gong, Mrs. Wang distributed truth-clarifying flyers and hung up banners to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa. Under prolonged pressure from persecution, her old diseases relapsed and she passed away on September 5, 2003.

Mr. Zhou Chengsen, seventy-two years old, lived in Pangwang Village, Huangqibao Town, Anqiu City, Weifang County, Shandong Province. He obtained Dafa in 1998. On July 14, 1999 he went to the Weifang Municipal Party Committee to appeal for  and safeguard Falun Dafa, and also distributed Dafa materials. Mr. Zhou suffered from tremendous physical and mental anguish during the persecution of Falun Dafa, and he passed away on March 15, 2002.

Mr. Zhang Hua, seventy-six years old, lived in Yijia Village, Huangqibao Town, Anqiu City, Weifang County, Shandong Province. He began practicing Falun Gong in 1997. Before he started practicing, he suffered from many diseases. After he practiced Falun Gong, he quickly regained his health. While the evil was running rampant with the persecution, he distributed truth-clarifying materials and clarified the truth of Falun Dafa. During the brutal persecution, Mr. Zhang suffered tremendously, and passed away on April 15, 2004.

Ms. Liu Lingling, fifty-three years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Xinji City, Hebei Province. Her former heart disease relapsed due to the persecution and ongoing threats by corrupt local officials. She passed away on November 25, 2001.

Ms. Zhang Shufen, sixty-six years old, lived in Changxindian Township, Fengtai District, Beijing City. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, she enjoyed excellent physical and mental health. However, after prolonged persecution starting in 1999, Ms. Zhang passed away on March 22, 2004.

Mr. Pan Jiangting, seventy-one years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. After prolonged persecution, he passed away on December 31, 2003.

Ms. Wang Shaocheng, sixty-two years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Hubei Province. When she started practicing Falun Gong, all her diseases quickly disappeared. After the persecution began, she encountered interference and felt a lot of pressure. She could no longer concentrate on studying the Fa with a clear mind or practice the exercises. Ms. Wang's health deteriorated and all her old diseases relapsed. She passed away on May 19, 2005.

Ms. Ouyang Xingui, fifty years old, lived in Qiaodong Village, Nanjiang Town, Pingjiang County, Hunan Province. She was hospitalized for uremia and she could not get well by any of the many of treatments she tried. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1997, Ms. Ouyang gradually regained her health. She peacefully appealed in Beijing in 2001, calling for justice for Dafa. Ms. Ouyang was detained in a detention center for one month and the CCP officials extorted 6,000 yuan from her in fines. In the face of persecution and threats, her family members became afraid. They couldn't understand Ms. Ouyang's determination to keep practicing, and prevented her from practicing the exercises and contacting other practitioners. The wicked persons from the local police substation and "610 Office" repeatedly harassed her, and her previous diseases relapsed. Ms. Ouyang passed away in the middle of February 2003.

Mrs. Yi Shuhui, seventy-three years old, lived in Bajia Village, Longquan Town, Mouping County, Yantai City, Shandong Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in January 1997, and benefited both mentally and physically. All her previous diseases quickly disappeared, and she was very happy.

After Jiang and the CCP illegally started persecuting Falun Gong, her three daughters peacefully appealed and spoke justly for Falun Gong in Beijing. As a result, they were arrested. The wicked police repeatedly searched their houses without a warrant, confiscated their belongings, extorted money from them in fines and detained them. Under the suppression and persecution by the evil CCP, Mrs. Yi was frightened and anxious all day long, and her daughters had no place to turn for justice. Due to the persecution, Mrs. Yi suffered both physically and mentally and became ill, and she passed away in August 2003.

Police led by Wu Guang, an official of the Fushun City Political and Judiciary Committee, secretly arrested Falun Gong practitioner Feng Jian. It has been reported that Feng Jian is being held at the Fushun City Drug Rehabilitation Center for persecution.

Police from the Ziyou Road Police Station arrested practitioner Sun Shibin, a teacher at the Affiliated High School of Northeastern Normal University in Changchun City on Wednesday, April 6, 2005. The authorities were to sentence Sun to one year of forced labor, but Sun failed the physical examination and is currently being hospitalized in the Changchun Chinese-Japanese Friendship Hospital. However, Wang Yugang and other officers from the Ziyou Road Police Station continued to harass Sun in the hospital in an attempt to carry out the original plan of persecution through forced labor.

In 2004, practitioner Zhang Chaoqun wrote a letter to Jiang Zhenbao, who works in the Security Section at Fangmashan Mine in the Jingmen area. In the letter, Zhang kindly told Jiang the facts about the unlawful persecution suffered by Falun Gong practitioners. Jiang refused to reflect on his own participation in the persecution. Instead, he turned the letter over to the "601 Office." He volunteered to help the 610 Office arrest Zhang. Zhang Chaoqun was arrested at the end of January 2005 and has since been secretly sentenced to prison.

On March 30, 2005, Ms. Gu Bihua from Chengdu City was arrested for distributing truth-clarifying materials in a supermarket near the Chengdu Aviation Profession and Technology School. She has been sent to a brainwashing center in Zhongjiang County.

Ms. Gu has long been under surveillance by the local police station and community officials for practicing Falun Dafa. These officers sent people to monitor her movements at the gate of the family quarters where she lives. Occasionally they broke into her home and demanded that she write the so-called Guarantee Statement to give up practicing Falun Gong. In 2003, Ms. Gu and her husband were invited by their daughter, who lived in Beijing, to spend the Spring Festival together in Beijing. Only days after Ms. Gu and her husband arrived at their daughter's home, officials sent by the local police station and the community office showed up to take her and her non-practitioner husband back to Chengdu against their will. The family union was disrupted right before the Spring Festival.

In May 2004, three police officers broke into Ms. Liu Jun's home in Shanghai. They searched her home and confiscated Falun Gong books. One book contained a sheet of paper with telephone numbers. Ms. Liu grabbed the book from the officers and chewed and swallowed the paper. Later she was taken to the Jing'an District Police Department. On the way there, she shouted, "Falun Dafa is great! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" At the police department, she continued to clarify the truth and was released the same night.

On August 6, 2004, Ms. Liu was arrested while posting truth-clarifying materials. She was sentenced to twelve months of forced labor.

Xiamen City Practitioner Mr. Lin Weiwen was arrested on April 5, 2004 and sentenced to three years in prison. Mr. Lin's father has been diagnosed with cancer. His family member brought the doctor's diagnosis to the authorities, asking for the release of Mr. Lin so he could take care of his father. Their request was rejected.

Ms. Hong Huimei is an employee of the Xiangcheng Chinese Medicine Hospital in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. She clarified the truth to patients who were hospitalized in the Internal Medicine Division. Cai Jincai, deputy Party secretary of the hospital; Huang, deputy chief of the Xiangcheng District Health Bureau; and Wu Xiaoyu, deputy head nurse of the Intense Care Department, offered rewards to encourage doctors and nurses of the Internal Medicine Division to bring charges against Ms. Hong. The three officials also instigated Li Zongyan, of the hospital's security section, to call Liu Wei of the Xiangcheng Police Department to file the case. Around 11:30 a.m. on December 8, 2004, plainclothes police officers kicked open the door of Ms. Hong's home. Two male officers handcuffed her and took her into custody.

Ms. Hong remained in custody after 15 days of detention. Ms. Hong Huizhu's daughter, Ms. Yang Qingshan, and her eldest sister were on their way to send her clothes on the afternoon of January 1, 2005, when a truck hit them. Ms. Yang remained unconscious for an extended period of time. Her life has been sustained by feeding via a nasal tube. Ms. Hong's eldest sister's legs were fractured. She still has casts on her legs. Ms. Yang suffered a fractured pelvis. She is not able to move the right side of her body, is bedridden, and has to be taken care of by dedicated personnel.

Falun Gong practitioner Jiang Yong from Shanghai persecuted at the Tilanqiao Prison

Recently we have heard that Falun Gong practitioner Jiang Yong was transferred from Ward 2 in the Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai to Ward 6. Guard Shen Yanrong monitors and tortures him. Shen Yanrong locks Dafa practitioner Mr. Jiang Yong in a 3.3 square meter cell around the clock and deprives him of all personal freedoms. He forces Jiang Yong to sit on a small stool with his hands folded behind his back. The perpetrators at the Tilanqiao Prison are frightened, as their crimes of persecution are being exposed online. Division 5 was dissolved as a result of media exposure abroad. The perpetrators have recently transferred many practitioners from the Youth Experimental Group to other places to cover up their crimes. They have ordered guards in other wards to apply pressure on the practitioners to force them give up Dafa.

Persecution of practitioner Cui Fengqi from Tangshan City

Practitioners Cui Fengqi and his wife Yao Xiurong worked at the Coking and Gas Production Plant of the Tangshan Steel Corporation. They were laid off in early March 2001 because of their belief in Falun Gong. Their home was ransacked, and they were detained at their work unit. They escaped with the power of righteous thoughts but were fired afterwards. In April 2001, they returned home. Perpetrators from their former work unit harassed their relatives, and they left home to avoid further persecution. In July 2001, they again returned home to take care of their child. Perpetrators from the plant arrested them on August 20. After being illegally detained for 15 days at the plant, they were transferred to the No. 2 Detention Center, where they were held for over a month. On October 10, their former work unit sent people to pick them up and sent them to a city brainwashing class. Cui Fengqi had lost his eyesight from torture, and the brainwashing class refused to take him. They accepted Yao Xiurong. Two months later, Yao Xiurong showed lack of sufficient blood circulation in the heart, palpitations, high blood pressure and other symptoms. Her former work unit sent her to the Tangshan Steel Corporation Hospital. In July 2004, the company sent security officers to surround Cui Fengqi's apartment for five days, which placed him under great duress. He passed away on October 16, 2004. Yao Xiurong went to appeal at the Labor Arbitration Bureau, the city Appeals Office, the Appeal Division of Tangshan City Police Department, and the Appeals Office at Lubei District Procuratorate. She also wrote letters to the factory, the corporation, the city, provincial and central government to clarify the truth, but no one has responded.
