Katrina is seven years old. At school she is a good student and all her schoolmates and teachers like her. At home, she is mommy and daddy's bright child, a young helper. She helps mommy to look after her younger sister and do some simple housework. Katrina should be an unworried little girl, but actually her heart is heavy because her big wish to end the persecution of Falun Gong has not yet come true.

When she was two years old, Katrina started practicing Falun Dafa together with her mother. At that time she was too young to read the book Zhuan Falun by herself. Her mother read the book to her, or she listened to the tape recordings of various lectures. She did not lag behind doing the exercises or in sending forth righteous thoughts. She likes reading the book of Master Li's poems a lot, especially in Chinese. Her mother is a Czechoslovakian and does not understand Chinese, while her daddy is a Chinese national who grew up in Switzerland and his Chinese is not very good either. Katrina made use of all the opportunities to learn from Chinese practitioners. It didn't take long before she could recite nearly thirty of Master Li's poems in both Chinese and German. Her cute appearance when she was reciting the poems in Chinese, with clear pronunciation and a mellow voice, often surprised other Chinese practitioners.

At the time that Katrina obtained the Fa, the inhuman persecution of Falun Gong was already happening in China. In order to let more people know the truth and to end the persecution earlier, Katrina participated in various activities all over Europe with her mother. Although she was unable to tell the facts to people personally, she earnestly did the exercises and handed out leaflets. People were extremely happy to accept leaflets from such a pure and lovely girl.

Having now grown older, Katrina can read Zhuan Falun by herself. She knows more and more about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and the poisoning of people all over the world by the lies of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Jiang Zemin and his followers. She desperately wants to do something to end this persecution. On a vacation with her mom in Czechoslovakia, she and her cousin drew a number of pictures; some showed scenes of sitting in meditation, some depicted the scenes of the persecution suffered by practitioners, and on each picture, the words "Falun Dafa is Good" were written. Then they put the drawings into the mailbox of the Chinese Embassy in Czechoslovakia, in the hopes that the staff of the Embassy could understand Falun Gong and stop aiding the CCP to persecute innocent people.

This was drawn by Katrina's cousin, an 8-year-old Czech girl. Katrina and her cousin drew many similar pictures and mailed them to the Chinese Embassy in Prague to express their wishes for the persecution to end.

At her birthday party, Katrina drew a lot of pictures showing Falun Gong's goodness. With the help of her parents, she made the pictures into beautiful cards with a brief explanation for each picture, and gave them to her friends. She also told them and their parents all about Falun Gong.

After attending a weekend anti-torture exhibition, Katrina especially hoped that she could participate in the performance at the exhibition to tell passers-by that Chinese children are also being persecuted simply because they or their parents practice Falun Gong. Practitioners used a picture of an oil painting named "Why" to create a poster for her. In the painting, a wounded young boy and his mother are illegally imprisoned together and the boy's facial expression seems to ask: "Why?" Beside the oil painting was printed an explanation, which told people about the persecution of Chinese children, as well as little Katrina's wishes for the persecution to end. At every anti-torture exhibition, Katrina held the poster and sat to appeal for her young fellow practitioners in China.

On June 1st, International Children's Day, Katrina used a special method to celebrate the children's festival: she collected signatures for rescuing Falun Gong practitioner Qiu Minghua in China. Ms. Qiu is Swiss foreign student Wang Xiaoyang's mother; she has been put in jail in China for over half a year because she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. Katrina hopes that Ms. Qiu will be released soon and that the persecution could be finished earlier. If this happened, not only would Wang Xiaoyang be able to re-unite with her father and mother, but many other broken families could be reunited and children could enjoy their happy childhood as before.

On International Children's Day, Katrina wanted to pass on a message to young fellow practitioners in Mainland China: "I really feel sorry that you have suffered so much, but you do not have to be afraid, all of this will be over soon." She said she would continue with her best efforts to let more people know the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution happening in China. More people will then come to help to fulfill her biggest wish: to end this brutal persecution of Falun Gong.

From June 3 to 5, the 90^th anniversary celebration of National Central University and the annual graduation ceremony were held on campus. For the very first time, the university held a Faculty and Staff Organization Expo during this special period. More than 20 groups participated in this expo. The Falun Gong Club was invited, and received wide praise during the expo.

The president of the university attended the opening ceremony. In a speech he said, "The activities of the various organizations on campus are very important because they can enhance friendship and improve work efficiency." Director Lin of human resources, the hosting unit, said: "Our faculty and staff members have 21 different organizations. This is the very first expo to showcase our campus organizations and we thank the support and guidance from the President. We also thank all the members of these organizations for their participation." Many university VIPs, professors, staff members, students and residents in the nearby community attended the ceremony, packing the expo site.

Besides poster presentations, several clubs, including the Falun Gong Club, presented exquisite performances. Newly formed and the youngest club at the university, the Falun Gong Club presented nine large posters, all rich in content. At the expo site, Director Lin commended the Falun Gong Club for their contribution to the university community.

The Falun Dafa Club prepared a brief introduction, with highlights of their activities. They gave an introduction to the history of Falun Dafa, talked about the worldwide support and the many proclamations received, the health benefits of Falun Dafa, and the truth of the persecution in China. They also gave a Falun Gong exercise demonstration. Practitioners stated that the goal of the club is to let people know about the brutal persecution against Falun Gong in China and to show the public that Falun Gong is a wonderful and profound cultivation method of mind and body.

On the afternoon of June 4, the various campus organizations had a talent show on the stage, and the Falun Gong Club participated. Nearly 20 faculty and staff members and their family members went onto the stage to demonstrate the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Five practitioners in the first row demonstrated the sitting meditation. The audience was really surprised to see that a little girl was among the five practitioners. The emcee then asked the audience to show their encouragement to the small girl with a round of warm applause. As soon as the exercise music started, the practitioners started to demonstrate the exercises. Many spectators in the audience imitated the exercises along with the practitioners. After the performance, the Falun Gong Club had a continuous flow of visitors. The practitioners hope that all of the visitors will have an opportunity to practice Falun Gong in the future.

During this expo, the Falun Gong Club displayed more than 100 paper lotus flower bookmarks. Together with colorful Falun Dafa bookmarks, they were distributed to visitors. Dr. Roettger, a scholar from Germany, participated in the performance. After the performance, he felt so good and all his worry before the performance disappeared. He felt that his performance was much better than he thought it would be. People at the site said that they could feel a strong energy field during the Falun Gong demonstration.

One staff member asked many questions. She said that she had practiced another Qigong exercise system for a long time and she recently was not feeling very well. She said that many people had recommended that she practice Falun Gong. After she heard practitioners' introduction to Falun Gong, she said that she would try it.

Another staff member said that one of her relatives is very weak and she thus took some Falun Gong information for the relative. "Because I have heard that Falun Gong is quite beneficial," she said, "I will mail my relative these materials." The woman came to the expo for two consecutive days, and practitioners also invited her to come to see practitioners' demonstration on the afternoon of June 4. She said that she would come for sure.

It is worth mentioning a special staff member, who had attended several Falun Gong workshops and read Zhuan Falun twice. She started to practice with other practitioners on campus every morning ever since the club invited a professor practitioner to give a presentation. This woman has now read Zhuan Falun three times. After the stage performance, she was so moved by the energy that Falun Dafa has brought to her. She then said that she would convince her husband to practice as well.

National Central University has a history of 90 years. The university has a wonderful environment and encourages all kinds of exercises and activities. On campus, a large variety of organizations thus grows quickly. Through these activities, many faculty members and students build social networks and improve their physical and spiritual health. As there were more and more Falun Gong practitioners on campus, a Falun Dafa club was established this March with support from the university. Members of the club practice Falun Gong every morning and evening on campus, and thus a lot people with predestined relationships have joined them one after another. Through this expo of organizations on campus, more people expressed their wish to practice Falun Gong.

On June 4, 2005, practitioners from Oregon and Washington State participated in Portland's annual grand "Starlight Parade," the highlight of Portland's Rose Festival. This is the third time that practitioners have participated in this grand event.

Among all kinds of floats and bands, which extended for miles, the Falun Gong practitioners' group brought the spectators the legendary traditional Chinese culture. While the spectators were amazed by the exciting Lion dance, they were also impressed by the beautiful and pure Lotus dance. More than 350,000 people watched the parade. KGB News Channel 8 and Comcast 49 broadcast the whole parade live, and more than 1 million TV viewers also had the opportunity to see the beauty of Falun Gong on this early summer night.

Oregon's largest newspaper, The Oregonian, selected a photo of practitioners performing the Lotus dance as a highlight of the parade. Neighbors and colleagues of one practitioner highly rated the practitioners' performance after they watched the parade on TV. The practitioner said, "One of my neighbors couldn't say enough wonderful things to commend our parade. Apparently, our performance has deeply impressed him."
