Ms. Wang Lixuan was 27 years old, held a bachelor's degree and lived in Nangou Village, Sikou Town, Xixia City, Shandong Province. Her son Meng Hao was only eight months old.

On October 21, 2000, Ms. Wang Lixuan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She took her eight-month-old son Meng Hao with her, holding him in her arms. On the morning of November 7, 2000, they were arrested by police on Tiananmen Square. Because Ms. Wang Lixuan formerly worked for a company in the Yantai Development Special Region, on the afternoon of November 7, 2000, policeman Mou from the Yantai Development Region Police Station took her to the Yantai Development Region's Beijing Liaison Office located on the 18th floor of the Hua-Ao Center Building. They were in the custody of policeman Mou. Around 4 p.m., Ms. Wang Lixuan and her son plunged to their deaths from the 18th floor of that building.

Ms. Wang Lixuan's mother Li Xiuxiang, who is also a Falun Gong practitioner, and her husband received the notice of the death of Ms. Wang and her son, and then went to Beijing to confirm their identities.

The circumstances of Ms. Wang Lixuan's and her baby son's death have still not been properly investigated. We truly believe the truth will surface when Jiang and the CCP's propaganda campaign and information blockade come to an end. Regardless of the outcome of the investigation, Jiang and his followers can never deny their responsibility for the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

In May 2005, Zhang Xiaolan, the Party Secretary of Chuanying District, Jilin City, and Mr. Wang, the chairman of Chuanying District Department of Law, ordered the policemen from the Changchun Road Police Station to arrest over 10 Falun Gong practitioners. They also worked with Qu Jiang, the general manager of the Jilin Chunguang Dairy Co. Ltd, and locked the practitioners up in the company's hostel for forced brainwashing.

By May 19, 2005, over 10 Falun Gong practitioners had been arrested and sent to the hostel in Chunguang Dairy Co. Ltd for detention and forced brainwashing. They were deprived of freedom while the policemen and other staff members attempted to force them to give up Falun Gong. Two practitioners were detained in each room and monitored by two staff members.

On the night of May 19, 2005, after they heard the news, some Falun Gong practitioners went to the neighborhood of the forced brainwashing center to collect information. Some practitioners phoned Qu Jiang, the general manager of the Chunguang Dairy Co. Ltd. They immediately exposed to the world the crimes of the brainwashing center in the Chuanying District on the Clearwisdom.net website. Meanwhile they informed many local practitioners about the detailed information they had collected. They made posters exposing the crimes of the brainwashing center and a 4-meter-long banner reading, "Stop the Persecution and Immediately Release the Illegally Detained Falun Gong Practitioners."

Later that night, many local Falun Gong practitioners worked together and put up over 20 posters stating "Stop the Persecution and Immediately Release the Innocent People" on the front gate of the Jilin Chunguang Dairy Co. Ltd, and on the electricity poles along the roads nearby. Some other practitioners put up a long banner, which read, "Stop the Persecution and Immediately Release the Illegally Detained Falun Gong Practitioners," on the iron fence outside the brainwashing center. Practitioners who did not go worked together with them by continuously sending forth righteous thoughts.

Mr. Li Maoxun, 70 years old and a retiree of the Dalian City Procuratorate in Liaoning Province, firmly cultivated Falun Gong, which resulted in a forced labor sentence and illegal incarceration at the Dalian Detention Center for a year and a half. His son and daughter were sentenced to three years of forced labor since they had appealed on behalf of Falun Gong in Beijing. The prolonged persecution and frequent attacks made Mr. Li ill. He passed away on March 31, 2005.

Ms. Li Baogu, 73 years old, lived at Qingyuan County in Hebei Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, she planned to appeal for Falun Gong in Beijing. Lawless people stopped her on her way to Beijing, brought her back and detained her in Qingyuan County. She encountered persecution and was released after having money extorted from her. Thereafter she was treated as a persecution target. She was constantly harassed with illegal house searches and had 26,000 yuan extorted from her. She died in October 2002.

Ms. Zhang Meihua, 59 years old, lived at the Santaizi Farm in Kangping County in Liaoning Province. She began practicing Falun Gong in 1995. Since July 20, she actively worked to appeal for justice and to clarify the truth. Liu Zhaoxing, the head of the farm, went to her home and forced her to give up Falun Gong. Under the persecution of the communist regime, her old illnesses came back in December 2004. She suffered swollen legs, which did not heal and she was later treated at a hospital. She died on February 13, 2005.

Mr. Liu Yunchen, 61 years old, lived at Dalian City in Liaoning Province. In July 1996, he was diagnosed as suffering from a swollen lumbar vertebra, which could not be cured. In October of the same year, his sister brought him Master Li's lecture videotapes and he listened to them. After the first day his headache was gone. With continued listening he was able to return to work three days later. However, after July 20, 1999, the great pressure from the government made him give up Falun Gong, and frequent harassments by the local police made Mr. Liu ill in 2003. He died on March 1, 2005.

Mr. Guo Chunying, 66 years old and a retried teacher from Hongcheng Village Elementary School in Ningan City, Heilongjiang Province was harassed, had his home illegally searched, and was threatened on July 20, 1999. He was arrested in 2000 in Ningan City. After that, his body and mind were devastated and he suffered severe gastric disease. On May 27, 2005, the police harassed his family twice, at 2:00 p.m. and 10 p.m. Mr. Guo died at 2:00 a.m. the next day, May 28, 2005.

Ms. Wang Xianhuai was in her 70s and a retired teacher from Yilong County, Sichuan Province. She used to be a volunteer assistant of a Falun Gong practice group before July 20, 1999. After July 20, corrupt officials searched her home and took away all the Falun Gong books and pictures of Master Li. From then on, she was frequently harassed by officials and encountered pressures from her family to give up Falun Gong. She was not allowed to leave her house and could not make any contact with other practitioners, so she was unable to get Master Li's new articles. She died in June 2004.

Ms. Du Qunhua, 62 years old, was a retired teacher from Yilong County in Sichuan Province. She used to be a volunteer assistant of a Falun Gong practice group before July 20, 1999. After July 20, corrupt officials searched her home, took away all the Falun Gong books and pictures of Master Li and arrested her. From then on, frequent harassment from local officials caused the recurrence of her old illness that had been under control while she practiced Falun Gong. She died on December 20, 2002.

Mr. Jiang Guangcai, about 67 years old, was a retiree of the No. 7062 Astronautics Base in the Longquan Region in Sichuan Province. After practicing Falun Gong in 1996, his diabetes was under control and he felt healthy. After July 20, under great pressure from the government, he signed statements to give up Falun Gong. The officials also forced him to participate in a brainwashing class set up by Longquan 610 Office. He then left his home and stayed with his son where he could not practice Falun Gong on a regular basis. His health deteriorated and he died on February 17, 2005.

Practitioner Mr. Wu Hongwen, born on November 27, 1969, was a resident of Shengwei, Hunan Province. On the evening of the 2000 New Year's Day, he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. For that the Shengwei Police Station detained Mr. Wu for 15 days at Changsha's Changqiao Detention Center. During those 15 days, he only had a few drinks of water every day to sustain his life. After being released to his home, the local police kept harassing and threatening him. They forced his parents to write a "guarantee statement" for him and they promised to monitor and control his activities. He was not allowed to go out and was ordered to write a self-criticism statement to show that he had renounced Falun Gong to be delivered after the Chinese New Year period. Mr. Wu firmly believed that Falun Gong was good so he had no choice but to leave home two days before the 2000 Chinese New Year's Day. In May or June of 2000, it was reported that he had returned to his elder uncle's home, who lived locally, to get some money. It was said that, about ten days later, Mr. Wu did mail a letter to the local police station trying to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to the police. From then on, Mr. Wu Hongwen has not contacted anybody and his whereabouts are unknown.

Hunan practitioner Ms. Deng Shiyin, a 56 year old lady, started to practice Falun Gong in 1997. In October 2001, she went to Beijing to appeal to the government for the right to practice Falun Gong. She was sent back to Hunan Nanning Village where she was detained for 15 days. In February 2002, Ms. Deng went to Beijing to appeal again but then she went missing. No one has heard from her and her whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Xu Yaoxian age 48, of Jiamusi, retired from the Huimin Food Plant in 1992. After she divorced in 1993, she became a single-parent of a boy. She was a resident of Section 4, No. 35 Neighborhood of Qianjin District (now as Hongxia District), Jiamusi City. Her home telephone was 86-454-8135529. Ms. Xu started practicing Falun Gong in 1996 and went to Beijing to appeal for  Falun Gong. She was arrested twice, and detained for 15 days. She spent more than two months in jail the first time and was sent to a forced labor camp the second time where she remained until June 2001. Ms. Xu disappeared on October 7, 2002. No one has seen or heard from her since then.

Practitioner Ms. Li Xiuying was 39 years old. Her home address was No. 342, 4th Floor, Door 3, Building 2, Furong Subsection, Liuying Street Office, Kungcheng District, Changchun City. Her husband is Mr. Sun Zhongning. She left home in April 2004, and no one has seen or heard from her since then.

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Xi Ensheng, 27 years old, lived in Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province. He obtained Falun Gong in 1997. In 2000 he went to Beijing to appeal, where he was intercepted and illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. In early 2004 he distributed truth clarification materials and was again arrested. At the police department he was hung up and beaten for three days and three nights. Mr. Xi was not allowed to sleep and he started vomiting blood after he was sent to a detention center. The police didn't allow his family to visit him and sentenced him to three years at the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and the labor camp refused to take him. After he returned home, the perpetrators from the local 610 Office and local police constantly harassed him. He passed away on May 22, 2005.

Practitioner Mr. Zhao Wenxi, 56 years old, worked at Group 4 at the Jianan Farm in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. He obtained Falun Gong in 1998. In 2001 he was reported when hanging banners to clarify the truth and was arrested by officers from the Jianan Police Station. He was released the next day on medical parole. Three days later he was sent to the Jiamusi City Detention Center. The police persecuted him for two months. Mr. Zhao was in very poor health when he returned home in April 2001. He passed away in October 2001.

Practitioner Ms. Li Hua was born in 1952 and he worked at the No. 2 Construction Company in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province. He started practicing Falun Gong in June 1995, right after he was diagnosed with a cerebral hemorrhage. He quickly recovered. After the persecution began, Li Hua was persecuted and was not able to practice Falun Gong. He suffered a relapse and passed away on January 12, 2005.

Practitioner Mr. Lin Yuexi was 48 years old and lived in Liubin Village, Tongle Township, Qingan County, Heilongjiang Province. He was later sent to a farm at Division 1 of Machang in Libo County, Qitaihe City. In May 2001 he was sentenced to three years of forced labor and was later transferred to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp. In April 2004 people saw guards at the Suihua Forced Labor Camp carrying and dragging Lin Yuexi and forcing him to run on the drilling ground. He passed away soon after this incident.

Practitioner Mr. Lu Longfu, 64 years old, lived in the Pudongxin District in Shanghai City. He was suffering from late-stage throat cancer and could barely swallow water. He could not take care of himself. He became completely healthy, however, after he started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. He was able to eat normal food and regained the ability to take care of himself. After the persecution against Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, he lived in fear and was persecuted, but he never renounced the practice. He passed away on May 13, 2000.

Practitioner Ms. Piao Chunzi lived in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. He was compelled to leave home after all the practitioners in the same group of Fa study as him were arrested. He passed away in the fall of 2003.

Practitioner Mr. Han Rong was in his 80s and lived in Wanlong Village, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province. In late 2000, his daughter-in-law was sent to a brainwashing class held at the township government. He went to visit her and the perpetrators intimidated him. He passed away later that night.

Practitioner Ms. Guo Xiuying, 60 years old, lived in the Jiananli, Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. Perpetrators from the Haigang Police Department in Qinhuangdao City arrested her twice. The police savagely beat her and stabbed her hands with chopsticks until her body was covered with bruises. She was in poor health after her release and lost consciousness at one time. The perpetrators sent her to a hospital and injected her with sedatives. She was in a deep coma for three days and passed away in April 2005.

Practitioner Ms. Li Cuiyan, 48 years old, worked at the Qinhuangdao City Oil Piping Bureau in Hebei Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for  Falun Gong and was brutally tortured. In August 2000 she was locked up at the No. 2 Detention Center in Qinhuangdao City. The guards beat her for practicing the Falun Gong exercises. She held a hunger strike and was savagely beaten and force-fed by several guards. She was later sent to the notorious Changli County Brainwashing Class in Qinhuangdao City. After her release, the perpetrators continued to monitor and follow her, and she lived under tremendous mental pressure. She fell from the top of a five-story building and was paralyzed. After four years of suffering, she passed away in March 2005.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Guangqin, 59 years old, lived in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. In 2000 she went to Beijing to appeal and was arrested and sent to the No. 1 Detention Center in Qinhuangdao City, where she was held for about 15 days. Her family took her home after being extorted out of 10,000 Yuan. The police harassed her family day and night. She passed away in August 2003.

Practitioner Ms. Zhang Yunqing, 54 years old, lived in Wuan City, Hebei Province. She had incurable leukemia. Ms. Zhang became healthy after she started practicing Falun Gong. In order to appeal for  Falun Gong she went to Beijing to appeal on April 25, 1999. After she returned, she was held at the Wuan Brainwashing Class for three days. On July 20, 1999, when the persecution started, the perpetrators from the "610 Office" arrested and held her at Wuan Detention Center for ten days and extorted 5,000 Yuan from her. After she went home, perpetrators from the village police stationand the township government often harassed her at home. She had a relapse of her old illness and passed away on January 7, 2004.

Practitioner Mr. Li Guide, 61 years old, lived in Wuan City, Hebei Province. He went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong on April 25, 1999 and July 20, 1999. After he went home, perpetrators from the township police station and from the village "610 Office" persecuted him. He passed away on March 18, 2003.

Practitioner Mr. Liu Qiuming, 57 years old, lived in Wuan City, Hebei Province. He went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong on April 25, 1999. After he went home, perpetrators from the township police station and from the village "610 Office" persecuted him. He passed away on December 23, 2001.

Practitioner Mr. Liu Suoming, 51 years old, lived in Wuan City, Hebei Province. He went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong when the persecution began on July 20, 1999. Once back home, perpetrators from the township police station and from the village "610 Office" persecuted him. He passed away on August 15, 2000.

Practitioner Ms. Yan Suheng, 66 years old, lived in Wuan City, Hebei Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for  Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. After she went home, perpetrators from the township police station and from the village "610 Office" persecuted her. She passed away on June 26, 2003.

Practitioner Mr. Zou Dekui, 59 years old, lived in Maozuo Village, Tengjia Town, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province. He lived with his mother-in-law in a village in Yandun, Laoshan Town. After July 20, 1999, he persisted in his belief and upheld Falun Gong. Perpetrators from the Rongcheng City Police Department arrested and sent him to a brainwashing class. He was later reported when making truth clarification materials. Mr. Zou was sentenced to three years of forced labor and released on medical parole in the spring of 2003. He was savagely tortured at the labor camp, at the Rongcheng Detention Center and at the brainwashing center. His toenails were torn off, and he suffered a nervous breakdown. He left home on June 14, 2003, and his body was found on June 18. His brother Zou Dejian, a worker at the city car parts factory, identified his body.

Practitioner Mr. Zhao Tangrong, around 60 years of age, lived in Xiqiganshi Village, Shangzhuang Town, Rongcheng City, Shandong Province. He was cured of numerous illnesses after he started practicing Falun Gong. After July 20, 1999, the police often went to his home to terrorize, threaten and harass him, and they also sent people to follow and monitor him. He had a relapse of his old illnesses and passed away in the winter of 1999.

Practitioner Ms. Yang Dongfen was in her 40s and lived in Jiaohe City, Jilin Province. After July 20, 1999 her home was ransacked, but she persisted in studying the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the truth. Due to long-term persecution, she showed symptoms of illness and passed away in the fall of 2004.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Guiying, 65 years old, lived in Jiaohe City, Jilin Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for  Falun Gong in the winter of 2000. After she returned, persons from her work unit persecuted her for a very long time. She passed away in the spring of 2004.

Practitioner Ms. Li Shuqin, 72 years old, lived at Hadawan Street, Jilin City. She could not take care of herself before she obtained Falun Gong in 1996. One of her lungs was completely dysfunctional. She recovered fully after she started practicing Falun Gong and could do all kinds of chores. After July 20, 1999, the police harassed her and searched her home for Falun Gong books. The head of her work unit talked to her husband several times. Her son said to the head of the work unit, "We have signed a guarantee statement and agreed that we would be fired if anyone in our family practices Falun Gong." She fell ill under tremendous pressure from the perpetrators and from her family, and passed away on January 28, 2000.

Practitioner Ms. Hou Taorong, 90 years old, lived in Dongjiao, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. After she obtained Falun Gong in 1998, she was cured of an enlarged heart and several other illnesses. In 2001 her son was taken away and the perpetrators persecuted her. She suffered a mental collapse and passed away in 2004.

Practitioner Mr. Liu Xingmin, 73 years old, was a retired worker in Guole City, Huolin, the Inner Mongolia Autonomic Region. After he obtained Falun Gong in the fall of 1998, he was cured of high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and several other illnesses. After July 20, 1999, the perpetrators went to his home to search for Falun Gong books. They arrested him and sent him to a brainwashing class. They also ordered him to write a guarantee statement. They often harassed him. He suffered mentally and physically, and he had a relapse and passed away in August 2002.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Aihua, 65 years old, obtained Falun Gong in 1996. She was cured of numerous illnesses and also grew calmer and kinder. She enjoyed helping other people and told others about how Falun Gong led to a change in her and her family, and she thanked Teacher for saving her. After July 20, 1999 she went to fellow practitioners and asked for help in protecting Teachers' pictures and Falun Gong books. She distributed truth clarification materials and told people about the persecution. The perpetrators threatened to disqualify her son from a promotion if she didn't give up Falun Gong practice. Her son knelt before her and begged her not to practice anymore, and he didn't allow other practitioners to talk to her. She showed symptoms of illness and almost lost her eyesight in both eyes. Her whole body swelled up and she could not take care of herself. She passed away before the 2002 Chinese New Year.

On April 28, 2005, Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li Caifeng from Shanghai, in her 60s, was arrested when she was clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at Gaoqiao Town, in the Pudongxin District. She is currently being held at the Pudongxin District's Zhangjiang Detention Center. The National Security Team of Pudongxin District is in charge of the case.

On May 17, 2005, Yang Sanchun from the Zhishan District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province was arrested for distributing the "Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party."

On April 18, 2005, personnel from the National Security Team, the Shuangqiao Police Department, Chengde City, Hebei Province arrested more than ten Falun Gong practitioners including Liu Jingfu, Wang Kemin, Bian Lianqun, Li Jicheng, Ms. Xie Ping, and Liang Xiaoping. These practitioners have been transferred to the Shuangluan Branch Police Station in Chengde City. Xu Yongming, the National Security Team head in the police station, is in charge of the case.

At around 7:00 p.m. on May 10, 2005, a gang of policemen from the National Security Team of the Da'an City Police Department broke into and ransacked the home of 47-year-old practitioner Cheng Yanchun from Daweizitun in Dawa Village, Da'an City, Jilin Province. They confiscated a Falun Gong book and some truth-clarifying materials. They arrested Cheng and interrogated him at the police department and later put him into a local detention center.

Practitioner Mr. Liu Lianyi, around 35 years old, is an employee of the Weaving and Knitting Factory in Longjing City, Jilin Province. He was discovered when posting words such as "Falun Dafa is good." Police confiscated a computer and a printer from his home. At present, Liu Lianyi has been sentenced to three years of imprisonment. On May 19, 2005 he was put into the Tiebei Prison.

Practitioner Sui Xin from Fuxin City, Liaoning Province was again sentenced to five years of imprisonment after he served two years of forced labor. He has been held at the No. 2 Prison at the Shenyang City Prison Complex for almost three years.

During the evening on May 9, 2005, practitioner Yan Yuanrong living in the Huangzhong Community, Chengdu City, was arrested for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. On May 17, personnel from the Huangzhong Police Station and from the Huangzhong Community Office ransacked Yan's home.

On May 6, 2003, practitioner Ms. Li Yajuan from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province was put into the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for two years of forced labor for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. Because of her determination to her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, even after the due date of May 6, 2005 was up, the authorities of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp didn't release her. Instead they extended her forced labor term by 40 days. They required her to write a Guarantee Statement and give up her practice; otherwise, they would sentence her to imprisonment.

Practitioner Mr. Lei Jiangtao from Leichen Village, Yuantou Township, Jinzhou City is now being held at the Jidong Prison. He has been on a hunger strike for many days and is now being force-fed twice a day. He has become extremely weak due to the torture. His life is currently in peril.

Practitioner Mr. Tang Yi from Chongqing, 42 years old, holds a post-graduate degree. In 1999 he was expelled from his work unit, the No.5 Division, No.11 Bureau of the China Railway Bureau. Later he was sentenced to three years of forced labor at the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp and suffered brutal torture there. His health was destroyed and had symptoms of tuberculosis. He has an ulcer on the lateral side of one of his thighs for a long time and difficulty walking. In order to avoid responsibility, personnel from the labor camp released Tang Yi after extorting 20,000 Yuan in the name of so-called "deposit money."

In order to support his family, Tang Yi had to go elsewhere to find a job. On his way home on April 24, 2005, police from the Kunming City Railway Station arrested him only because Tang Yi had a laptop computer with him. At present, Tang Yi is staging a hunger strike to resist the persecution. He is extremely weak now.

After 10:00 p.m. on May 22, 2005, Zhang Yongxin and two other policemen from Chicheng County collaborated with three people who claimed to be policemen from Beijing and broke into practitioner Ms. Wei Shufeng's home in Chicheng County. They forcibly took Wei Shufeng away for no reason. The next day, Wei Shufeng's family members went to the Chicheng County Police Department to inquire about Wei Shufeng's situation. Policeman Zhang Yongxin, chief of the No. 1 Section of the Chicheng County Police Department, told them, "Police from Beijing took Wei Shufeng away."

It's said that personnel from Fuyu County, Qiqihar City arrested several practitioners including Jiang Haitao, Xu Xuezhi, Ms. Xi Shuqin and Wang Ai'min. They are now being held at the Fuyu County Detention Center.

Practitioner Mr. Wang Yang from Weifang City was arrested and sentenced to imprisonment. Rumor has it that he is currently being detained at the Qingdao City Prison. The details are under investigation.

At 7:00 p.m. on April 20, 2005, two women from the Laobao Neighborhood Community Office took the excuse of checking registered permanent residents and entered Wang Zhigang's home. Two policemen from the Jinzhou City National Security Bureau named Song Zhenming and Li Zuowen followed, arrested Wang Zhigang and took Wang to the city's No.1 Detention Center, where he is still being held.

At noon of May 22, 2005 when Song Chengming was distributing truth-clarifying materials, five people in a yellow minivan tracked him and arrested him afterwards. The details are unknown.

At about 8:30 p.m. on May 23, 2005 when Ms. Duan Sumei and Fei Hongjie were clarifying the truth at the Longjiang North Neighborhood Community, five plainclothes policemen arrested them.

Practitioner Mr. Mu Liansong, around 30 years old, from Chuzhou City, was a traffic policeman with the No. 4 Team of the city's traffic division. In January 2001 he was arrested for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong and then detained for one month. He lost his job, as well.

During the night on May 13, 2005, people who claimed they were from the Quanjiao County Police Department arrested Mu Liansong at Quanjiao County. He is currently being detained at the Quanjiao County Detention Center (phone number: 86-550-5030019). His family went to visit him but was not allowed to see him. It is not known whether or not he is still alive.

On April 27, 2005 when the couple Jiuling and Shuliu from Yanshi City, Henan Province, were distributing truth-clarifying materials at Lijia Village, Koudian Township, they were arrested and have not yet been released.

On May 12, 2005, when Falun Gong practitioner Xin Zhengchao from Dengfeng City was distributing truth-clarifying materials at a school in Lushan County, he was arrested and is currently being held at the Lushan County Police Department.

In December 2004 Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Yuanheng held a hunger strike at the Yanshi Detention Center for over 20 days to protest his illegal detention.

Around May 20, 2005, Yanshi People's Court sentenced Zhang Yuanheng and Shao Jizhong to seven years in prison and Wang Genju to four years in prison. Zhang Yuanheng held an eight-day hunger strike to protest the unjust verdict.

From the fourth day on, the guards force-fed Zhang Yuanheng by inserting a tube through his nose once a day, causing Zhang's nose, mouth and throat to bleed. Each time they extorted 30 Yuan from Zhang's family. Zhang Yuanheng feels seriously ill and has been sent to the Yanshi City No. 4 People's Hospital for transfusion. The guards have extorted from Zhang's family five to six thousand Yuan.

The police arrested practitioner He Guangfeng from Wuzhi, Henan Province at the Jiaozuo Train Station on May 18, 2005 as he carried Falun Gong materials. He is currently being held at the Wuzhi Detention Center.

Police arrested practitioner Lian Xiuli from Shihezi, Xinjiang Autonomous Region on February 6, 2005. The police ransacked her home and took Falun Gong materials and truth clarification flyers. Lian Xiuli has been held at the Shihezi No. 1 Detention Center up until now.

We have been told that Lian Xiuli's case has been transferred to the city Procuratorate and the perpetrators plan to sentence her to prison. He Jianxin and Gong, two people who participated in the persecution, were awarded 50,000 Yuan.

On April 25, 2005, police officer Liao Wu led a group of perpetrators. They arrested practitioners Huang Guixia, Liu Luotian and Wang Hainan in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. The practitioners have been held for over a month.

At around 3:00 p.m. on February 21, 2005, practitioner Wang Suorong from Hengshui, Hebei Province was clarifying the truth at Daqing Road in Hengshui. A beige police van from the Lubei Police Station followed her and a plainclothes police officer tricked her into getting into the van. The police pinned her down, put her arms behind her back and body-searched her. They took the truth clarification materials in her pocket and bag and took her to Lubei Police Station.

Without following any legal procedure, Wang, the deputy head of the Lubei Police Station, sent Wang Suorong to the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp on April 30, 2005, to be held for one-and-a-half years. The guards said to her husband, "There is nothing we can do; if we don't do this to her, we'll lose our job since she publicly defied the CCP."

On January 23, 2001 I was sent to Shuangcheng Detention Center, where Zhu Xiangguo was held. I was held there for one month, and I witnessed the persecution of Zhu Xiangguo.

According to Zhu Xiangguo, he went to Beijing to appeal for  Falun Gong during the 2001 Chinese New Year. He was arrested in Tiananmen Square. Because he refused to give his name and address, the police poured buckets of cold water on him and kicked his abdomen with their boots. They beat him so savagely that his shirt was stuck to his back with his own blood.

During his incarceration at the Shuangcheng Detention Center, the perpetrators from the Shuangcheng City 610 Office ordered his family to persuade him to give up Falun Gong. His brother beat and kicked him; his wife, sister-in-law and child knelt on the floor and begged him, but Zhu Xiangguo remained steadfast.

1. Tang Aizhen and Other Practitioners Arrested by the 610 Office of Nan County, Hunan Province

Since July 20, 1999, the 610 Office, the Public Security Bureau of Nan County, and all its branch police stations in Hunan Province have been ransacking, abducting and extorting money from Falun Gong practitioners in Nan County. In the past six years, one practitioner has been persecuted to death, over 20 practitioners have been sentenced to forced labor, and over 200 abductions and arrests have been carried out against practitioners. In late February 2005, the practitioners in Nan County made truth-clarifying flyers that they distributed all over the county. The Nan County 610 Office and the police stations abducted practitioners Tang Aizhen, He Jianzhang, He Ping, Shi Yuesheng, Meng Fanrong, Guo Wuliang, Yong Guizhen and Tang Zhiwen. Then they tortured them physically and mentally. The police inhumanely beat the practitioners, tied them down on chairs, and deprived them of sleep. They put drugs in their drinking water to confuse their minds, poisoned the practitioners with toxic gas, and exposed practitioners to extremely bright lights to cause mental suffering. The police also instigated prisoners to beat them. According to internal sources in the Public Security Bureau, six practitioners are still being detained. Yong Guizhen and Shi Yuesheng have been released.

My name is Wang Yulan, and I am a 50-year-old woman. I am an employee of the Foreign Trade Company of Zhucheng City, Shandong Province. Since July 20, 1999, my company has detained its employees who practice Falun Gong and forced them to write a Guarantee Statement to give up their practice of Falun Gong. In November of 1999, I went to Beijing with several other practitioners to appeal. We were arrested and detained in a prison for several days before being taken back home by Zhucheng City Police. We were beaten by the police and then transferred to a detention center.

In February of 2000, I went to Beijing again to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. Upon arriving at Tiananmen Square, I was arrested and sent back to a police station in Zhucheng City. Policeman Cao Jinhui used an electric baton to shock my face and then my mouth. Later at the detention center, I was locked to the iron chair, which is used only for prisoners on death row. My face was repeatedly slapped, my feet were stomped on, and some of my hair was torn out. In May 2000, I went to Beijing again with fellow practitioner Li Yuxiang. Once we arrived at the appeals office, we were arrested and sent to a Beijing police station. My company took us back to Zhucheng City and forced us to drink urine. Then we were sent to the detention center. I went on a hunger strike to protest the inhuman treatment and was force-fed through my nose until it bled.

In November 2000, I was sentenced to three years of forced labor. I saw the police shocking fellow practitioner Ms. Chen Yuxiang with electric batons for a long time. Both sides of her face were covered in blisters. Another practitioner Ms. Shen Zhongxiang was shocked on the arm by an electric baton. She could not put any sleeve on that arm. Practitioner Ms. Guo Fang had her feet shocked so badly that she could not put on shoes for several days. My socks were stripped off, and the bottoms of my feet were shocked with four electric batons. Under this inhuman torture, I gave in against my will. Afterwards, I declared my statement under pressure to be null and void and continued to practice Falun Gong. Therefore, I was denied sleep for nine days and nights in a row. I went on a hunger strike for over a month and was force-fed many times. Once I was restrained by handcuffs during force-feeding. My hands swelled, and my whole body was covered in scabies.

Mr. Li Lixin, a practitioner kept in the prison's fifth ward, was beaten by other inmates. His chest was covered in bruises. He was later sent to the "Strictly Regulated Team" for more severe persecution and was forced to do manual labor. He was once detained in a solitary cell for 53 days. The practitioners in the second, twelfth, and fifteenth wards suffered corporal punishment and inhumane beatings. Practitioner Mr. Liu Mingte was beaten until his mouth and nose bled profusely. Practitioner Mr. Xing Jiaqiu's hand was fractured, and his legs swelled from beatings. Practitioner Mr. Zhu Changming's spine was injured, and he could not walk upright. He could not get into bed by himself and was not able to swallow food. The pain was hard to endure.

Practitioner Mr. Lu Yunlai, 57, lives in Anshan City. In March 2001, he published an article on the Minghui website (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom) to expose the evil deeds of the Anshan City Mingshan Labor Camp. He was arrested in his own vineyard and sentenced to three years of forced labor in the Mingshan Labor Camp, where he was tortured mentally and physically. In July 2003, Mr. Lu escaped with strong righteous thoughts while on a labor trip outside the camp. To avoid re-arrest, he remained homeless and did not return home. On May 5, 2005, the police arrested Mr. Lu again, kicking out his teeth in the process.

Falun Gong practitioner Jia Guojie from Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province was arrested in October 2004 when distributing truth clarification materials on the train. He was forced to get off at the Linfen Train Station in Shanxi Province and was held at the Jishan County Detention Center for over six months. He was sentenced to five years in prison. He has been on a hunger strike for over a month and is in critical condition. Jia Guojie graduated with a degree in biomedical engineering from the former First Military Medical University. He was sent to work with a border patrol military branch in Xinjiang Autonomous Region. In 1999 he was fired for practicing Falun Gong. In late 2000, classmates reported him when he was distributing truth clarification materials at the First Military Medical University. Liu Weidong and Luo Can, officials from the university security division, arrested and sent him to the local police department. They later sentenced him to three years of forced labor.

Recent persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Chengdu City

Practitioners Guo Wenjuan and her husband Yang Gong were arrested

In the evening of May 25, 2005, the head of the street Party committee and the head of the Yangliu Village Armed Bureau in Chengdu City ordered their subordinates to arrest practitioners Guo Wenjuan and her husband Yang Gong, an engineer in his 70s.

On May 23, 2005, perpetrators from Chengdu City Police Department and the 610 Office went to Luzhou to have a meeting and to plan the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Led by persons from the Chengdu City Party Committee, the perpetrators at the Chengdu City "610 Office" and those from the National Security Bureau have conducted frenzied arrests of Falun Gong practitioners. More than 20 practitioners including Huang Fangping, Luo Suyun and Zhou have been rounded up. They were sent to the Xindu District Brainwashing Class and prisons to be brainwashed. The perpetrators torture the practitioners both physically and mentally. At around 11:00 p.m. one day last week, they broke into the home of practitioner Luo Suyun's mother-in-law who is in her 70s. They ransacked the place and beat her until her body was covered with bruises. They took her away without notifying her family. The neighbors expressed anger at such lawless behavior. The police also ransacked practitioner Zhang Chunfang's home.

Practitioner Ms. Yu Weichun, around 55 years of age, worked at the Mine Lighting Factory of the Fushun City Mining Bureau in Liaoning Province. She went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in early October 2000. In mid October 2000, she again went to Beijing to appeal. In early November 2000, it was learned the local police went to Beijing to pick up practitioners who were arrested there. Yu Weichun's sister and son said they have not heard anything from her.

Statements of Appeal/Petition and family letter from the Harbin Women's Prison

Practitioner Song Qing's petition statement: I am a Falun Gong practitioner. My name is Song Qing and I am being held at the No. 1 Division of the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. On September 11, 2002 I was transferred to the Harbin Women's Prison, where the guards hit my eyes and bruised them. Several days later, they forced a dozen practitioners, including me, to do military drills and march under the scorching sun. I passed out as a result, and when I came to, they ordered me to write a guarantee statement. I refused, and they forced me to stay under the sun. In late September 2002, I was transferred to another division and was slapped over ten times for refusing to cooperate with the perpetrators. In mid-December, I was forced to stand for a whole night and was not allowed to sleep. In mid-June 2003, we practitioners refused to do slave labor and to wear the inmate uniforms. The guards tore our clothes and humiliated us. They wrapped my head with a white cloth and beat and kicked me until I could not breathe. In December 2003, I was forced to stack stools against the wall for a whole week. On January 1, 2004 [Chinese lunar calendar], about 20 practitioners were forced to stand in the pump room for a whole night. On March 8, 2004 I was tortured with a method called "The Big Hang-up" [There are two forms in this torture: (1) With both hands cuffed behind the back and only toes touching the ground, one is hung by a rope that is tied to the metal window frames; (2) One hand of a practitioner is cuffed to one bunk bed and the other hand to another bed, and the two beds are pulled in the opposite directions. In the evening of May 14, 2004, the practitioners refused to answer roll call and the guards savagely beat us. On May 15, 2004, they again tortured me with the "the Big Hang-up." The handcuffs cut into my wrists. I lost the feeling in my arms, which turned black and blue.

Practitioner Zhu Xiangqin's letter to fellow practitioners: Right now, I am at Group 2, Division 1 of a women's prison. The practitioners here have been validating Falun Gong, opposing the persecution, clarifying the truth and offering peoples salvation. On August 30, 2002, I was stripped of my clothes on arrival and subjected to brainwashing. The guards didn't allow me to eat, have fluids or sleep. They handcuffed my hands behind my back, forced me to squat, and they punched, kicked and stomped on me. Other practitioners refused to recite the prison policies, to answer roll call and to squat. They refused to say they are inmates, and as result were detained in solitary confinement. They had their hands cuffed behind their backs, locked to shackles fixed onto the ground, and hung up and tortured with the Tiger Bench. They forbade me to eat or sleep, and often verbally abused and hit me. Practitioner Yu Xiulan at Division 2 had her hands cuffed behind her back, and was forced to squat and stand for long periods of time. Her feet were disabled from being shackled for extended periods of time. One of her wounds was three centimeters across. Her bones were exposed, yet she was still forced to stand for more than 40 days.

Fellow practitioners at Division 8 had their hands cuffed behind their backs. They were not permitted to sleep and were hung up. Practitioner Ren Shuxian was hung up for over 20 days. She jumped off a building and broke her pelvis and legs. The inmates jabbed the practitioners with needles. Practitioners who opposed the persecution were detained in solitary confinement. They tied the practitioners up, didn't allow them to use the toilet, held their eyes open with matchsticks, inserted sticks into the practitioners' vaginas, and tortured them with "the Big Hang-up." After the practitioners passed out, the perpetrators put the practitioners down and put drugs into their mouths. After they came to, the perpetrators hung them up again. From December 1 to December 12, they used electric batons and bamboo sticks to torture the practitioners. They whipped and electrically shocked the practitioners, kicked and hit the practitioners and cuffed their hands behind their backs. They also forced the practitioners to plow the snow. The practitioners were covered with bruises. In 2004, guards at Division 1 tortured practitioner Chu Qingfen with "The Big Hang-up" many times, which caused brain damage and injuries to her back.

Practitioner Zhu Xiangqin's letter to her husband: consult a lawyer and show him my letter about the persecution against me. File a lawsuit against Wang Xing, Liu Zhiqiang, Cong, heads of the Harbin Women's Prison; Yang Hua and Zhao Xiling, officials of Division 2; Zheng Jie, head of Division 8; Cui Hongmei and Xia Fengying, heads of Division 1. My life is constantly in danger here. Right now I'm being watched around the clock. In February 2003, guards Yu Yubo, Sun Qiuxia and Zhang Xuan stomped on my back so severely that I could not lie flat afterwards. I could not bend my back or sit. Inmates Yan Yaxia and Meng Xia hit me with bamboo sticks until my whole body turned black and blue. An egg-sized bump formed on one of my legs and I have no feeling in my thighs. My family came to visit me, and they refused to leave until they saw me in person. The perpetrators are afraid because they know that they are violating the law.

In 2000, practitioner Wang Bin in Daqing City was tortured to death. His family and other practitioners filed a lawsuit against Feng Xi, the official on duty, as well as three inmates. The plaintiffs won and received 200,000 Yuan in compensation. The five perpetrators were sentenced to 18 years, 12 years, 5 years and 3 years in prison.
