On May 30, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioners filed a lawsuit with the
local prosecutor's office in Seoul, charging Bo Xilai (male) with
persecuting Falun Gong, participating in genocide, engaging in illegal
arrests, unjustifiable imprisonment, torture, and other charges. The
file was formally accepted on the morning of May 31, 2005. Planning to
attend the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit on June 2,
2005, on Cheju Island, Korea, Bo Xilai was scheduled to arrive in Korea
on June 1, 2005.
After twice acting as mayor of Dalian City
since 1993, Bo Xilai was designated as a Chinese Communist Party (CCP)
Liaoning Province standing committee member and CCP Dalian City
committee secretary in September 1999. He actively followed Jiang in
persecuting Falun Gong after the persecution started in 1999. Under the
direction of Bo Xilai, Dalian became the most notorious region in China
for persecution. At least fifteen practitioners were tortured to death
in Dalian. Bo Xilai was quickly promoted for his contributions toward
the persecution. He was assigned as the governor of Liaoning Province
in 2001. Liaoning Province became well known for severely persecuting
Falun Gong. He invested a huge sum of money, one billion yuan, to
build prisons for detaining Falun Dafa practitioners.
Bo Xilai helped Jiang persecute Falun Gong so diligently, that he won
Jiang's trust, and was named the Minister of Commerce directly from his
provincial secretary position.
After Bo Xilai was sued for
genocide in Washington DC in 2004, he was also sued by Falun Dafa
practitioners in the United Kingdom, Holland, Russia, and three other
countries.
Bo Xilai is also one of the prime suspects in
hiring a gunman to shoot Australian practitioner David Liang. The
incident happened on June 28, 2004, when Bo was visiting South Africa
together with Zeng Qinhong (male), Jiang's main helper in persecuting
Falun Gong.
Plaintiffs pointed out that the brutal persecution
of Falun Gong by the CCP is still going on in China. Lawsuits against
Bo Xilai are to warn others who persecute Falun Dafa practitioners,
that good will be rewarded, and evil will meet with karmic retribution.
We also want people all over the world to know the urgency of stopping
the persecution against "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." We
want more people to understand Falun Dafa and cherish it. People who
have kind hearts and righteous thoughts will be rewarded.
(Reported by a Minghui Correspondent) During recent days, 21 cadavers from China were exhibited at the Masonic Center in San Francisco. The names of the deceased were not disclosed, causing grave concern from many circles. Many were led to wonder if the cadavers were among those called "dissidents" by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) who have mysteriously disappeared.

The Epoch Times reported that the exhibition "The Universe Within" is a show that uses more than 20 human corpses from China. Some of these corpses had skin or organs removed. They were set up in different poses, including whole skin hung with hangers. Tickets were $17 each and part of the proceeds would go to China. ABC in San Francisco reported that the entrepreneur said that the corpses were purchased from a university in Beijing; however, the ABC reporter called the college and its administrator said he knew nothing about it. Later the reporter inquired employees of the Masonic Center. The employees said, "We were required not to discuss the source of the corpses. We were told to say 'Don't know' if anybody asks."
On May 30, 2005, several organizations, including China Forum at the University of California, Berkeley, Amnesty International, Friends of Falun Gong, Press Freedom and Human Rights League, and North California Center for Resigning from the CCP held a press conference in front of the Masonic Center. They pointed out that the cadaver show violates Chinese traditions and human rights. Since the CCP took power in 1949, approximately 80 million Chinese people have been killed. Many so-called "dissidents" by the CCP were taken away and never seen again. The unknown source of the corpses in the show made people think about the whereabouts and disappearance of those "dissidents".
Falun Gong practitioner Xuerong Zhang |
A Falun Gong spokesperson participated in the press conference. She said, "Since the CCP's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners began, the deaths of more than 2000 practitioners have been documented. Many practitioners were taken away by CCP police and no one knows their whereabouts. For example, Mr. Xiong Huang, brother of Dr. Wanqing Huang in the US, was arrested four years ago for practicing Falun Gong. Still today, no one knows his whereabouts. Dr. Huang's first reaction to such a cadaver show is that he worries about his brother's life."
The spokesperson went on to say that the CCP persecutes Falun Gong practitioners every day. Those persecuted by the CCP also include Christians, Tibetan monks, democracy seekers, and people appealing. Many people disappear and are never heard from again after police take them away. Where are they? Is it possible that some of them were killed and their corpses are shown here? In addition, the profit from the show is given to China. Will the CCP persecute more innocent people using the money made from the corpses being shown?
Representative of the Press Freedom and Human Rights League |
The source of the corpses is not known; however people's concerns about it are not groundless. The CCP unlawfully removes organs from prisoners. This has been verified and condemned by the international community. The corpses of Falun Gong practitioners tortured by the CCP and Jiang's faction reveal holes and organ removal. Some corpses have been dissected without family members' consent. Insiders have disclosed that some people unlawfully remove organs from corpses of practitioners tortured to death and illegally sell the organs for profit.
Living people suffer from persecution and the dead are trampled. Under the iron curtain of the CCP's totalitarian control with violence, lies and corruption, too many crimes occur and are covered up.
May 29th 2005 was a beautiful sunny day. The city of Oxford held the new Mayor Inauguration Grand Parade. The participants were primarily from local charity groups and local organizations, including Falun Gong practitioners.

The parade began at noon and walked through the most crowded pedestrian shopping streets of the city center and past Oxford City Hall. Among the parade participants, the Falun Gong group drew a lot of attention. Young practitioners led the team holding three big Chinese characters meaning "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance", followed by the banner "Falun Dafa is Good". Then came the traditional Chinese performances, including the lion dance, waist drumming and the silk fan dance, followed by banners in Chinese and English saying, "The World Needs Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance", "Falun Gong is Practiced by People in More than Sixty Countries" and some colorful Falun flags.
Practitioners performed the silk fan dance accompanied by the song "Falun Dafa Hao" (Falun Dafa is Good). The lovely melody echoed throughout the streets of Oxford, which also helped to convey the heartfelt voice of the practitioners to the Oxford citizens and tourists. Cheerful waist drumming, elegant silk fan dancing, eye-catching banners and the spirit of Falun Gong practitioners gave a positive impression to the people along the streets. Wherever the parade passed, applause followed.
After the parade, the participants went to a park to continue the celebrations. Each group had its own stall and in the centre of the park was a stage provided for performances or demonstrations. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. When the exercises were finished, enthusiastic applause arose.

A British woman loudly greeted the practitioners when they walked past with "Thank you!" There was also a man who works for Oxford City Council. He said that he had heard of Falun Gong and the persecution of practitioners happening in China and he also knew that local Falun Gong practitioners distribute flyers in Oxford to appeal for public support. However, he has never seen the exercises of Falun Gong. He finally saw the exercises and realized how wonderful Falun Gong is.
Afterwards, some practitioners participating in the parade stayed at the stall to answer the public's questions. Others felt that they should seize the day and catch this good opportunity to let more people know about Falun Gong and the persecution, so they went to distribute flyers in the city center.
During the past Memorial Day holiday, Washington State practitioners were invited to "Northwest Folklife Festival" and "Bellingham Ski-to-Sea grand parade" on two consecutive days to present Falun Dafa.
The 34th "Northwest Folklife Festival," one of the largest annual cultural events in the northwestern U.S., was held at Seattle Center. While cultural booths of all kinds packed the lawn outside the center, several stages were set up inside and different cultural programs were showing on the stages simultaneously. The whole Seattle Center was packed with people while all major media came to report this grand occasion. Although more than a thousand professional and non-professional groups applied to perform on stage, Falun Gong was one of those selected to perform.
At the entrance to the performance hall, many people asked practitioners who were distributing fliers if Falun Gong group was performing. Apparently, a large number of people came to the center particularly for Falun Gong after they read the program information. On the stage, the MC warmly introduced Falun Gong. The MC said that the persecution against Falun Gong inspired his interest in this practice.

During the performance, practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and performed traditional Chinese dance "Flower Fairies" and "Lotus Flower". A practitioner gave a brief introduction of the exercises and the dances. From people's expression and reactions, practitioners noticed that the audience was deeply touched by the beauty and serenity of Falun Dafa. After the performance, a Chinese member of the audience went backstage and told practitioners, "Your performance was so touching. The audience was totally absorbed in it." She took out $50 and wanted to donate that money to practitioners. A practitioner thanked her for the support and told her: Falun Gong doesn't accept any donations.
The next morning, practitioners drove up to Bellingham, close to the Canadian border. The city is a typical middle size city in northern Washington. At Bellingham, practitioners participated in the "Bellingham Ski-to-Sea grand parade." Local residents and tourists packed both sides of the parade route and greeted practitioners with warm applause and exclamations everywhere. Now and then, one could hear: "Look, it is so beautiful!"

The beautiful Falun Gong float |
The Falun Dafa float was led by a group of practitioners energetically demonstrating the exercises and a lion dance troupe. Upon seeing a near 80 year-old practitioner demonstrating the exercises on the float, an old lady started to imitate the practitioner. When a middle-aged gentleman saw a practitioner in Tang attire posing a solemn posture by holding one hand firm in front of his chest, this gentleman pressed hands in front of his chest to express his respect. When she saw practitioner's procession, a plump lady applauded warmly and exclaimed: "You are the best float and the most beautiful!"
A local TV station videotaped the parade. Practitioners' group participated in this parade for the first time and successfully presented the beauty of Falun Dafa to local residents.
