Falun Gong practitioner Min Changchun was beaten many times by a group of inmates in Qinduankou Prison. The physical assault left Mr. Min with severely damaged internal organs and many wounds on his body. On March 4, Mr. Min was in a coma and required emergency surgery in the General Jail Hospital of Hubei Province.

Mr. Min is about 30 years old. He was arrested three times in the past and managed to escape every time. On July 16, 2002, policemen from the Wuhan City Qingdao Road Police Station unlawfully arrested him. He was imprisoned and tortured in the Second Detention Center in Wuhan and the Hanyang Taojialing Detention Center. In September 2002, Mr. Min was sentenced to four years in prison for attempting to tap into the local cable TV to broadcast truth-clarifying programs. In December 2003, he was taken to the Qinduankou prison in Hubei Province.

On the evening of January 22, 2005, inmate Zhang Binhua beat Mr. Min for not giving a satisfactory answer in the "End of the Year Appraisal." Mr. Min reported the incident to prison officials, which didn't stop Zhang Binhua. Zhang then gathered inmates Zhang Gaopan, Chai Kun, Xiong Junhua, and others to beat Mr. Min mercilessly twice.

On the morning of January 23, 2005, during roll call, Mr. Min reported incidents from the previous day to prison officials again. Afterwards, Zhang Binhua told other inmates to drag Mr. Min to a room. Zhang Binhua, Xiong Hui, Xiong Junhua, Zhu Zhenghua and others beat Mr. Min for the fourth time in a row. Around noon, Zhang Binhua told Zhang Changshen to take Mr. Min to cell No 5. Zhang Changshen grabbed Mr. Min's feet, dragged him to the cell, threw him on the ground, shouted, "You are asking to die!" and then fiercely stomped on his abdomen. Mr. Min rolled on the ground from the excruciating pain. Zhang Binhua kicked Mr. Min in the lower back, injuring his internal organs. Xiong Junhua stomped on Mr. Min's head and Zhu Zhenhua kicked his back multiple times.

The beatings wounded Mr. Min's body in many places. The kicks from Zhang Changshen severely damaged Mr. Min's internal organs. He could hardly eat anything because of the throbbing pain and swelling in his abdomen. Mr. Min's upper torso was also severely injured. He was in critical condition.

On February 21, after a check-up in the hospital of Qinduankou Prison, Mr. Min was transferred to the General Prison Hospital of Hubei Province, where he was diagnosed with severe injuries of the pancreas and spleen, with a large amount of fluid accumulation in both the chest and the abdomen, as well as the legs and feet. On March 4, Mr. Min received emergency surgery and woke up from a coma that had lasted for dozens of hours. During his stay in hospital, his family was notified that his life was in danger. Currently, Mr. Min is still recuperating in the hospital.

Yang Zhenyu, from Zhucheng City in Shandong Province, was born in November 2001. He used to be a lively little boy. Now he seldom talks, and he frowns all day, because his parents have both been sent to a forced labor camp for practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. Yang Depeng, little Zhenyu's father, was a teacher at the No. 9 High School in Zhucheng City, Shandong Province. He was unlawfully sent to the forced labor camp only for having typed "Falun Dafa Is Good" on a personal computer. Ms. Zhang Qing, Zhenyu's mother, went to the police department to inquire about her husband, and was also detained. The next day, without going through any legal process, the authorities sent her to the forced labor camp.

Little Zhenyu currently lives in Daguxian Village in Xiangzhou Town, Zhucheng City with his grandparents. His grandparents are both in poor health, and his grandfather is blind in one eye. They have no source of income. Each day, they yearn for the return of little Zhenyu's parents.

After Jiang's regime started the persecution of Falun Gong, Ms. Sun persisted in her practice. She lived under constant pressure from the department store leaders as well as her relatives. Her environment was so hostile that she suffered a great deal emotionally and died on August 6, 2004.

Zhao Qi now lives alone in a small room, less than 100 square feet, and on a monthly stipend of only 135 yuan. After her mother died, the department store officials made a one-time payment, averaging 220 yuan a month covering the months until October 17, 2005, when she will become 18 years old.

The Third Forced Labor Camp of Henan Province is located in Xuchang City. Yan Zhenye, the labor camp director, and Jiang, the deputy director, are in charge of the forced transformation of Falun Dafa practitioners being unlawfully held in the labor camp. Political heads Shi Baolong and Ma Huating, team leaders Zhao Zhimin and Jia Zigang, political officials Liu Tianxun and Shen Jianwei, and an official with the surname Xu, in charge of political indoctrination, have all been involved in ordering criminal inmates to torture practitioners.

Practitioners Yao Sanzhong and Li Jian died from cruel torture. Several others have become handicapped. Wang Yukun's leg was broken, Pang Liang's forearm was crippled after he was tied up, and Yue Caiyun, who suffered injuries over the entire body, remained bedridden for six months. Among those who were tortured to the brink of death are practitioners Yan Xinliang, Li Chenyang, Wang Lei, Zhao Yongzhong, Li Jinke, Wu Junqing, Yang Hongqi, Peng Hongyan, Wu Zhongmin, and Zhang Keyun.

A CCP flag has been hung up in each cell since August 2003. All inmates were ordered to make pledges in front of it. Party members have threatened that the red flag will be painted with blood from anyone who refuses to comply. Officials have also ordered everyone to sing songs in praise of the CCP.

Recently, we were informed of the deaths of an additional 39 Mainland China Falun Gong practitioners due to the persecution. Two were from Beijing, five from Guangdong Province, seven from Hebei Province, eight from Jilin Province, four from Shandong Province, three from Heilongjiang Province, and two from Hubei Province and Sichuan Province. In addition, there were practitioners from Tianjin, Liaoning Province, Jiangxi Province, and Guizhou Province who passed away as a result of the persecution.

Three Practitioners from Beijing and Tianjin Passed Away as a Result of the Persecution

Ms. Wang Huilan, over 60 years old, was a resident of Jinzhanxi Village, Chaoyang District, Beijing. Before she started practicing Falun Gong, she suffered from acute high blood pressure, heart disease and many other illnesses. She was an invalid and couldn't take care of herself. After she began to practice Falun Gong and lived by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, she no longer suffered any of these illnesses. After July 20, 1999, the Assistant to the General Secretary of the village Communist Party Committee, the Assistant to the Head of the village 610 Office, and the Manager of the Village Security Department, Wang Shijiang, harassed her many times without any grounds. They threatened that if she continued to practice Falun Gong, they would cut off all her financial resources, including disallowing her son to support her and not paying her living allowance. Consequently, Ms. Wang suffered deep mental and physical anguish and her old illnesses recurred. On the Chinese New Year's Eve of 2001, she passed away. Right before that, she told her son that he must protect all of the Falun Gong books in his possession.

Mr. Zhang Guicheng, 49 years old, was a resident of Jinzhanxi Village, Chaoyang District, Beijing. In 1998, he started practicing Falun Dafa. As a result, her mental and physical health improved greatly. After July 20, 1999, he supported his wife when she stepped forward to appeal for Falun Gong. His wife was arrested and sent to a forced labor camp. Thus, the perpetrators came to his home and harassed him many times. He became very distressed. During the three years after his wife was detained at a forced labor camp, he suffered great pressure from the family and other sources. On the afternoon of November 27, 2004, when he was clarifying the truth, he suddenly became sick. He passed away two hours later.

Ms. Liu Sulan, 74 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Xiaotian Village, Baigutun Town, Wuqing District, Tianjin City. Before she started practicing Falun Gong, she suffered from heart disease and cancer. At the beginning of 1998, after she started practicing Falun Dafa, she was cured of all her illnesses. Her body felt very light. In 1999, after Jiang's regime started the persecution of Falun Gong, she lost her cultivation environment. Her old illnesses recurred, including heart disease and cancer. She nearly turned blind, and she lost the ability to take care of herself. In August 2000, when she was near death, her children, who are practitioners, helped her to start practicing Falun Dafa again. Four days later, she miraculously regained her health. Therefore, she visited many of her relatives and people in her neighborhood. She wanted to tell them about the miraculous effects of practicing Falun Dafa through sharing with them about her personal experiences and telling them the facts of the persecution. In 2001, when she went to stay with her daughter in Chenguan Town in the Wuqing District, policemen from the Chenguan Town Police Station came to her daughter's home many times to harass her daughter. Seeing this, she became very frightened. She was greatly affected both mentally and physically, and her old diseases came back. At the end of September 2001, she died as a result of the persecution.

Five Practitioners from Guangdong Province Were Persecuted to Death

Mr. Du Rongcheng, 70 years old, was a former Head of the Traffic Bureau of Fengshun County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. After Falun Gong was banned and its practitioners persecuted, he was detained at the County Detention Center. The local policemen often harassed him, threatened him and kept him under surveillance. He suffered both physically and mentally. As a result, he became ill. In June 2002, he passed away.

Mr. Xu Daixing, over 70 years old, was a former president of an Agriculture Bank in Fengshun County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province. He was detained at the County Detention Center at the beginning of the persecution. He suffered deeply from harassment, threats and being kept under surveillance. Local policemen also fined him many times. As a result, he suffered deep mental and physical anguish. He became ill and passed away in February of 2005.

Ms. Lin Hai, born in 1950, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. In 2003, the police arrested her while she was distributing truth-clarification materials. They detained her at the Dongshan District, Guangzhou City forced labor camp. Later, she was sentenced to a 3-year prison term. She served the term at the Sanshui Female Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province, where she was tortured. In September 2004, Lin Hai's entire body became inflamed from injuries that occurred during the torture. When she was on the verge of death, they released her to avoid responsibility for her death. Within a few days after her release, she passed away.

Mr. Liang Shuguang, 80 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Maoming City, Guangdong Province. He started practicing Falun Gong at the beginning of 1997. He suffered from many illnesses, including kidney stones and pneumonia. After he began to practice, he became healthy. After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, the 610 Office detained and persecuted his wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and sister, because they would not renounce Falun Gong. Then they harassed the family, ransacked their homes, arrested, detained, threatened and levied fines against them. This elderly man suffered deep mental and physical anguish. On April 8, 2004, after his old illnesses recurred, he passed away.

Mr. Liu Chunqing, over 70 years old, a Falun Gong practitioner from Huazhou City, Guangdong Province, started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. Before that, he suffered from many illnesses. After he cultivated Falun Gong, he became healthy. After the persecution started in 1999, many local people came to his home to threaten and arrest him. They sent him to detention centers or brainwashing centers. He suffered deep mental and physical torment. Consequently, his previous diseases recurred and he passed away on May 1, 2001.

Nine Practitioners from Hebei Province Passed Away Due to the Persecution

Ms. Liu Yuying, 57 years old, was a resident of Xinyangtun Village, Wanquan County, Hebei Province. The local authorities confiscated her Falun Gong books, Teacher's pictures and a tape recorder. Her illnesses recurred because of being persecuted. On November 16, 2004, she passed away.

Ms. Shi Xiuying, 51 years old, was employed at a Coal Machinery Factory in Zhangjiakou City. She started practicing Falun Dafa in 1994. On and after April 25, 1999, she stepped forward many times to appeal for Falun Gong. Therefore, staff from the Beixin Village Police Station in Zhangjiakou City arrested, interrogated her through torture and detained her many times. As a result, she suffered immense pressure, physical trauma and deep mental anguish. In July 2003, she passed away.

Ms. Zhang Shulan, 64 years old, was a resident of Xinglong County, Hebei Province. She started practicing Falun Dafa during the second half of 1998. Shortly after she began to practice Falun Gong, her heart disease and cholecystitis were cured. On July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal to the government. After she returned home, people from the National Security Team of Xinglong County often harassed and bullied her. Her children, who were not practitioners, also pressured her. As a result, she lived in constant fear. During the second half of 2003, her previous diseases recurred and she passed away.

Mr. Mu Zhenluan, 67 years old, was a Dingzhou resident from Baoding District, Hebei Province. After the persecution started in 1999, because he practiced Falun Dafa, he was fined and the local officials ransacked his home many times. He suffered deep mental and physical anguish from the persecution. In November 2003, he passed away.

Ms. Wang Kunyang, 64 years old, was a resident of Dingzhou in Baoding District, Hebei Province. In July 1999, on her way to Beijing to appeal to the government, she was arrested and sent back to her hometown. Local officials fined her. After that, people from the township government came to her home many times to harass her. They tried to force her to write the three statements and a guarantee statement. She was also sent her to a brainwashing session. She suffered deep mental and physical distress. In April 2003, she became confined to bed and couldn't take care of herself any longer. On April 1, 2005, she passed away.

Ms. Meng Xianlan, 79 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Langfang City, Hebei Province. After she began to practice Falun Gong, she was cured of many illnesses. After 1999, because of the loss of her cultivation environment, she suffered from depression. In March 2003, she passed away.

Ms. Luo Guizhi, about 50 years old, was a resident from Yanjiao, Sanhe Town, Hebei Province. She had once suffered health problems, but after she started practicing Falun Dafa at the end of 1998, she regained her health. After 1999, when the persecution of Falun Gong started, she lost her cultivation environment. Her previous diseases recurred and she soon passed away.

Ms. Gu Yingwen was a resident of Qinglong County, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. Before he began to practice Falun Gong, he suffered from many diseases. He was disabledand had to stay in a hospital. In 1996, he began to practice Falun Gong. Shortly afterwards, he was cured of all his chronic illnesses. After July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime cracked down on Falun Gong, staff from his local government kept harassing him at home. His mother was arrested, beaten and fined because she went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop the persecution. Therefore, he suffered deep mental agony. His former diseases recurred, and he became confined to bed. On December 31, 2003, he passed away.

Eight Practitioners from Jilin Province Passed Away Because of the Persecution

Ms. Li Xianhui, 32 years old, was a resident of Caojiagang Village, Binhe Town, Nongan County, Jilin Province. In October 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal to the government. She was arrested, sent back to her local area and unlawfully sentenced to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. During the time she was detained, she appeared to suffer from epileptic symptoms. She was released three months later. After that, the authorities in her local area often harassed and threatened her. She contracted lung disease. On March 12, 2004, she passed away.

Mr. Zhang Hongyou, 79 years old, was a resident of Changchun City, Jilin Province. In 1996, he started practicing Falun Dafa. Many of the diseases he suffered were cured. After July 20, 1999, policemen and people from his local Community Management Center often came to his home to harass him. They confiscated his Falun Gong books, and his identity and permanent resident cards. On March 20, 2003, many policemen came to his home, arrested him and took him to the police station. They interrogated him for a few days. At that time, they ransacked his home, and they ransacked it again afterwards. They didn't allow his children to visit him. Because of the mental and physical stress, he had a heart attack. On May 7, 2003, he passed away.

Ms. Lu Jinshun, 73 years old, was an ethnic Korean practitioner from Jilin City, Jilin Province. In 1997, she began to practice Falun Gong. She had not been healthy before practicing, but after that, all of her illnesses disappeared. In 2000, she practiced the exercises in front of the Municipal Government Building to appeal for Falun Gong, so they arrested her and took her to the police station. After that she was taken to a brainwashing session. Because of being threatened and harassed after she returned home, she became ill and was confined to bed for a couple of years. She eventually became comatose. On January 27, 2004, she passed away.

Ms. Chen Guangmei, 65 years old, was a resident of Wudaojiang Town, Tonghua City, Jilin Province. In 1999, after the persecution of Falun Gong began, the authorities from her local Community Management and from the police station often harassed and threatened her. In mid December 2004, the local police station sent many people to ransack her home. She developed breast cancer. On March 29, 2005, she passed away.

Ms. Ning Guizhi, 80 years old, was a resident of Changchun City, Jilin Province. After she started practicing Falun Gong, many of her diseases were cured. After July 20, 1999, policemen from her local police station confiscated her Falun Gong books and often came to her home to harass her. After so much harassment, she became sick and walked with difficulty. On March 13, 2005, she passed away.

Ms. Yu Fuqin, 65 years old, lived on Xinyang Street, Nongan County, Jilin Province. After July 20, 1999, Liu Hanmei from the local Community Management and Zhang Shuxue from the local police station often came to her home to harass her. They forced her to write a "guarantee statement," in which she had to renounce Falun Gong. She was terrified, and as a result, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. On April 3, 2005, she passed away.

Ms. Cai Qinghua, 65 years old, was a resident of the Erdao District, Changchun City, Jilin Province. In October 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop persecuting Falun Gong. For doing this, she was arrested and detained in a forced labor camp, where she was tortured. After she returned home, policemen came to her home to harass her. As a result, she suffered deep mental and physical pain. In March 2005, she passed away.

Ms. Zheng Xuanguang, 51 years old, was a resident of Yushu City, Jilin Province. In July 1999, she went to Beijing to clarify the truth and appeal for Falun Gong. On the way there, the police stopped her. She was deeply frightened and suffered a cerebral hemorrhage three times. On March 18, 2003, she passed away.

Eight Practitioners from Shandong, Liaoning, Heilongjiang Provinces Were Persecuted to Death

Mr. Li Yanzhen, 60 years old, was a resident of Xujia Village, Xinzhuang Town, Shandong Province. Before he started practicing Falun Gong, he suffered advanced diabetes because of which he became blind. Because of practicing Falun Gong, his diabetes was cured and he could see again. After July 20, 1999, under intense pressure from Hou Qingsan and 2 other people from the Xinzhuang Town police station, he handed in his books and wrote a guarantee statement to stop practicing Falun Gong against his will. After that, the authorities and the police often harassed, threatened, monitored, and followed him. He even became homeless and had to move from place to place in order to avoid the harassment. His diabetes recurred and he became blind again. On February 2, 2005, he passed away.

Mr. Liu Xiaozhao, 35 years old, was a resident of Sanshan Village, Xinzhuang Town, Laiwu City, Shandong Province. On July 20, 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop the persecution. On the way there people from Jinan City led by Hou Qingsan and others from the Xinzhuang Town police station stopped him. After that, they often came to his home to harass and threaten him. In the winter of 2000, over 10 people broke into his home, arrested him and sent him to the Wulai City Detention Center. He went on a hunger strike to protest this detention. In March 2001, he passed away because of the persecution.

Mr. Zhang Jiqiang, about 30 years old, was a resident of Raowang Village, Laiwu City, Shandong Province. In 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop the persecution, and he was detained. In 2001, he passed away.

Mr. Liang Qiyuan, 93 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Luojiaxin Village, Huashan Town, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, his children's homes were ransacked many times. They were fined, arrested, and monitored continuously. In 2001, his two daughters were sentenced to 4 years in prison, and his two grandsons received a three-year forced labor sentence. On July 14, 2002, he passed away as a result of the mental pressure and torture.

Ms. Shi Xiumei, 62 years old, was a resident of Guanli Village, Bayi Town, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. In 1997, after she began to practice Falun Gong, her many illnesses disappeared. After July 20, 1999, when Jiang's regime began to persecute Falun Gong, she stepped forward many times to appeal for Falun Gong. The head of the local police station and policemen came to her home many times to harass and threaten her. As a result, her old illnesses recurred. On April 12, 2005, she passed away.

Mr. Wu Jiahe, 63 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from Taiping Village, Boli County, Heilongjiang Province. In 1996, he began to practice in Falun Dafa. Many of his illnesses, for which no one had found a cure, disappeared. Around November 12, 1999, his elder and younger daughter, daughter-in-laws, and niece were arrested and detained at the local detention center because they practiced Falun Dafa. Since then, the police station and staff members from the village attempted to have him write the a guarantee statement. He refused. The harassment and threats continued. He worried about his children and became ill again. On December 29, he passed away.

Ms. Jiang Shuqin, 66 years old, was a resident of Taiping Village, Boli County, Heilongjiang Province. On April 25, 2001, when her elder son, elder daughter, younger son and younger daughter-in-law were driving to a nearby village to hand out truth-clarification material, they were reported to the police. Her elder son was caught and arrested. They extorted 20,000 yuan from him. Her elder daughter, younger son and daughter-in-law became homeless, going from place to place in order to avoid being arrested. She lived at home with her elder daughter-in-law and three teenagers. They led a difficult life. Policemen came to her home to force her to reveal the whereabouts of her children. They also kept her home under surveillance for 15 days. People from the Criminal Investigation Division kept threatening her. As a result, she was in deep distress. In June 2002, she passed away.

Ms. He Qiuping, 57 years old, was a resident of the Yilan Coal Plant, Heilongjiang Province. In November 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop the persecution. After she returned, she was arrested and detained for 15 days. They also fined her thousands of yuan. People from her company and the local "610 Office" kept coming to her home to harass her. They also ransacked her home and kept threatening her. She was terrified. During this long intense persecution, she developed symptoms of a cerebral hemorrhage and passed away.

Six Practitioners from Jiangxi, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou Provinces Were Persecuted to Death

Mr. Wan Niaogen, 58 years old, was a resident of Dutou Village, Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province. After he began to practice Falun Gong, he became very healthy. His wife Yuan Chunying was handicapped. After she saw that he became healthy, she also began to practice Falun Gong. After the persecution started, they appealed to the government and firmly continued to practice. Because of this, his wife was arrested and detained six times, and fined 5,600 yuan. He was detained two times, arrested, sent to brainwashing sessions two times and fined 3,000 yuan. In addition, the police confiscated some traditional Chinese and western medicine, worth over 10,000 yuan. Mr. Wang was tortured so severely at the brainwashing center that he vomited blood. On January 27, 2004, he passed away.

Ms. Chen Huiyuan, 62 years old, lived at Huayuan City, Nanhu district, Wuhan City, Hubei Province. Due to her steadfast practice of Falun Dafa, validating the Fa and clarifying the truth, she was arrested and detained many times. Her handicapped husband was also detained for his beliefs. He suffered mental and physical agony and died in a car accident. Their daughter was sentenced before the Chinese New Year due to posting truth-clarification material on walls. Because of the persistent, severe persecution, she passed away on February 10, 2005.

Mr. Han Quanguan, 68 years old, lived at Wuhan City, Hubei Province. He was a retired cadre. After July 20, 1999, policemen often came to his home to harass him and stop him from doing the exercises. They confiscated his identity card. After his wife traveled to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop the persecution, they sent her to a brainwashing center. On October 1, 2000, he passed away.

Mr. Lu Sufang, 57 years old, was a Falun Gong practitioner from the Yanjiang District, Ziyang City, Sichuan Province. In 2000, she went to Beijing to clarify the truth and appeal for Falun Gong. She was detained and fined. She was continuously monitored and harassed. Therefore she suffered tremendous physical and mental torment. Most importantly, her cultivation environment was destroyed. She passed away on the morning of April 10, 2005.

Mr. Lan Yingzhou, 67 years old, was a retired senior engineer from the Xiwu Institute, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Policemen and people from his company often came to his home to harass and threaten him. In 2000, his wife went to Beijing to appeal to the government to stop the persecution and was detained. Under such great pressure, his previous illnesses came back. On November 19, 2000, he passed away.

On May 13, 2005, the Falun Dafa practitioner couple Zhang Weihua and Zhou Jingdong, who live at Liulichang of Chengdu City, was arrested. More than ten policemen waited for them one day and arrested them when they returned home. Those policemen were from the Liulichang Police Station, the Jinjiang District Police Department and other unknown departments. The policemen confiscated a large amount of Falun Dafa truth clarification materials, a desktop and laptop computer, several printers and other personal possessions. At the same time, Zhang Weihua's mother was sent to a brainwashing center, while Zhang and Zhou were held in criminal detention at the Pi County Detention Center. Zhang's father grieved very much.

2. [Yuxi City, Yunnan Province] Four Falun Dafa Practitioners Sentenced

We have learned that Falun Dafa practitioners Niu Yuqiong, Shen Yueping, Pu Zhimin and Hu Xianding from Yuxi City in Yunnan Province have been sentenced. Their terms are as follows: Niu Yuqiong was sentenced to two years, Shen Yueping to four years, Pu Zhimin to three years and Hu Xianding to one year of forced labor.

3. [Chongqing] Mr. Tang Bing on a Hunger Strike to Protest Detention

Currently, Mr. Tang Bing from the Guojiatuo Area is being held at the Jiangbei District Detention Center. After he went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, his health deteriorated and he was in critical condition. The officials sent him to a hospital. According to medical tests, he has an intestinal blockage. The police authorities demanded 10,000 Yuan from his family before they could pick him up. They urged the factory [his employer] to help with half of the cost. His family refused to pay the money.

4. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] The Authorities at the Daqing City Prison Intensify the Torture of Falun Dafa Practitioners

Recently, Daqing City Prison authorities again intensified the torture of Falun Dafa practitioners. Each practitioner was assigned four inmates as "Personal Cangues" around the clock. They are not allowed to leave the yard, be away from the "personal cangues" or even to go out the door.

On April 30, 2005, practitioner Jin Sheng of the Fourteenth sub-ward of the Seventh Ward refused to wear the prison uniform, so she was put into small cell in order to be tortured. Jin Sheng is still there.

Practitioner Zhao Yu'an of the Seventh Ward was no longer able to eat because of the torture and was subsequently sent to the prison hospital.

On May 10, 2005, practitioner Guan Zhaoqi of the Thirteenth sub-ward of the Seventh Ward requested that Jin Sheng be released from the small cell and that all practitioners' basic freedoms be restored. Guan also spoke out against being forced to wear the prisoner's uniform. Li Fengjiang, the police team leader of the Seventh Ward, forced Guan Zhaoqi to put on the uniform; otherwise Guan would have to suffer sleep deprivation.

On the morning of May 5, 2005, policeman Li Fengjiang went to the thirteen sub-ward of the Seventh Ward to check the status of the "strict administration" of practitioners. He discovered that the "personal cangues" didn't follow the practitioners closely enough; then he beat two of the inmates so severely that they bled from their mouths.

All prisons in Daqing City are now forcing practitioners to put on the prison uniforms. As a result of this incident, policeman Li Fengjiang ordered the policemen in the Seventh Ward to escalate the persecution of the practitioners.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Sun Xiumin Arrested for Clarifying the Truth about Falun Dafa

On May 13, 2005, the Garden Police Station in the Nangang District arrested practitioner Sun Xiumin from the Nangang District in Harbin City because Sun was clarifying the truth about the persecution to people. Sun's home was also searched and the practitioner is now being held at the Yaziquan (the Harbin City Detention Center)

6. [Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] Li Shurong and Wang Fengying Arrested for Distributing Falun Dafa Truth Clarification Materials

On the evening of May 11, 2005, the authorities from the Lishu Police Department arrested practitioners Li Shurong and Wang Fengying from the Lishu District, Jixi City, when they were distributing truth clarification materials.

7. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yanchun Arrested for Clarifying the Truth about Falun Dafa

Ms. Zhang Yanchun, 41 years old, is from Bajiazi Town in Helong City, Jilin Province. She was arrested on May 9, 2005, because she was reported for clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to neighbors. Zhang Jian and another three or four persons from the National Security Team in the Helong Police Department beat her. Now she is being held at the Helong City Detention Center.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Guijuan Was Arrested and Put into the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for Clarifying the Truth about Falun Gong to Students

On April 29, 2005, the police from the Quiwen District arrested practitioner Mr. Li Guijuan, a teacher of Chinese at the Yuhe Bridge Elementary School in the Quiwen District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. Mr. Li had clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to students. He was held in the 610 Office brainwashing class in Weifang City and on May 13, 2005, he was sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Huixia from Jilin province is 36 years old, and is jailed in the Fourth Ward of the Jilin Province Women's Prison. On March 7, 2002, at around 8:00 a.m., Ms. Yang Huixia and two other fellow practitioners were arrested and taken to the Tongjiang Police Substation in Changyi District, Jilin City, Jilin Province. Two young police officers named Xing and Xiaohui (gender unknown) interrogated them using torture. They handcuffed Ms. Yang to the top of a metal door frame at around 8:00 p.m., with her toes barely touching the ground. She was handcuffed very tightly, which caused extreme pain throughout her body. At midnight, police officer Xiaohui covered her mouth and nose with a plastic bag, which quickly caused her to pass out. They suffocated Ms. Yang repeatedly, causing her to pass out more than 50 times that night. She was left hanging until after 10:00 a.m. the following morning, and then taken to the Third Detention Center.

2. Police in Zeng City, Guangdong Province Abuse Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Feng Bingkun

On February 21, 2005, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Feng Bingkun was arrested and then put on trial on April 26. Only Mr. Feng's older brother was allowed to attend the court proceedings, and Mr. Feng Bingkun was not allowed to defend himself or hire an attorney. Mr. Feng's family, including his parents, siblings, and parents-in-law were put under surveillance and constantly harassed and threatened by police officers from Long Town, Zeng City between February 21 and April 26. Policemen also stole Mr. Feng's family motorcycle, their only possession that was worth any money. The police not only refused to issue a receipt, they made up a blatant lie that the motorcycle was "junked," in order to take possession of it.

3. Grave Injustice in Jilin Prison

On April 4, 2005, at around 7:30 a.m., Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Shi Guohong, who is being detained in the Fifth Ward of Jilin Prison, reported to Prison Officer Zhang Jianhua (male) that he could not join the labor crews because of a physical condition. Upon returning to his cell, prisoner Han Zhiqiang (male) kicked and punched him several times in the legs, chest, back, lower back, and arms. Later Mr. Shi reported this cruel beating to another guard, Lin Zhibin (male), but was only acknowledged with slaps on the face.

Mr. Shi Guohong was first taken to Jilin Prison on April 16, 2003. On May 12, 2003, he was beaten by prisoner Wang Lijun (male) during class time, which resulted in fractured ribs on the left side and a lower back injury.

4. Crimes Committed by Policeman Song Jiaxi from Xingtai City, Hebei Province

Song Jiaxi is the chairman of the Political and Security Office at the Xingtai City Police Department. In April 2004, Luo Gan announced a "Special April Campaign," during which special merit awards would be issued for each Falun Gong practitioner arrested. Song Jiaxi and Xingtai City Police Department Deputy Director Zhang Yujie were planning to destroy Falun Dafa materials production centers, and they arrested more than fifty Falun Dafa practitioners. Among them, more than ten were sentenced to prison terms, forced labor, sent to brainwashing classes, or were extorted. Song and Zhang arrested additional Falun Dafa practitioners who were in better financial condition at the end of 2004, and then extorted money from them.
