The Communist regime in China is currently searching out and arresting Falun Gong practitioners. According to various sources, this arrest campaign is nationwide and is specifically targeting Falun Gong practitioners. This is the most widespread persecution since July 20, 1999, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is again displaying its evildoing nature before the world. We learned that recently numerous police officers have been arresting practitioners and ransacking their homes in Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning Province, Hebei Province, Jilin Province, Hunan Province, Sichuan Province, Henan Province and Heilongjiang Province.
Several Practitioners were Arrested in the Haidian District, Beijing
Practitioner Mr. Wang and his son from Century-City in the Haidian District, Beijing were arrested on April 14, 2005.
Practitioner Ms. Ma, a middle-aged woman who lived in Liaogongzhuang, the Haidian District, was arrested in late February 2005.
Practitioner Ms. Liu Junling and her sister Ms. Liu Junping, who lived in Jushan Village, the Haidian District, were arrested in March 2005.

Around April 6, 2005, officers from the Wenquan Police Station arrested practitioner Ms. Deng, about 60 years of age, from the Shuiju Neighborhood in the Yiyang Mountain, Wenquan Township, the Haidian District, at her home. The police found many VCDs in her home. The details await further investigation.

The Police Arrested Several Practitioners in the Jinnan District, Tianjin
At around 11:00 a.m. on April 15, 2005, officers from the Xianshuigu Police Station arrested practitioners Tian Yuqin, Chen Jifang, Zheng Yongfeng, Zheng Junlan and his wife, and Zhan Huiyan and her husband from Xianshuigu Town, the Jinnan District. The police officers confiscated computer(s), Falun Gong books and materials, and other things.
In the past few days, the police followed practitioners they thought were important; then they broke into their homes and arrested them. They ransacked the practitioners' homes to collect so-called evidence. They have arrested about eight practitioners, but the details await further investigation. It was heard that the arrested practitioners have been transferred to other areas.
These arrests have caused severe disruption in efforts to appeal for Falun Gong in the Jinnan District.

A Female Practitioner and Her Son were Arrested at a Falun Gong Materials Production Site in the Hexi District, Tianjin
On the morning of April 20, policemen from the National Security Bureau arrested a female practitioner and her son at a Falun Gong materials production site in Aiguodao, the Hexi District, Tianjin City.
Practitioner Mr. Wang Zhigang from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province was Arrested
At around 7:00 p.m. on April 20, 2005, two female officials, one of them with the last name Yang from the Labor Insurance Community in the Linghe District, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, and eight plainclothes police officers including Song, a division director from the Jinzhou City National Security Bureau, went to the home of practitioner Mr. Wang Zhigang's father. They arrested Mr. Wang Zhigang, 37 years old, claiming to verify his household registration. Mr. Wang is currently being held at the No. 1 Detention Center in Jinzhou City.

Practitioner Ms. Yi Sufen from Jinzhou City Will Probably be Sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp to be Persecuted
At around 3:00 p.m. on April 7, 2005, two security officers at the Nanqiao Telecommunications reported practitioner Ms. Yi Sufen from Jinzhou City, who worked there, to the police. She has been sentenced to one year of forced labor and the perpetrators are planning to send her to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
In Order to Block the Circulation of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Perpetrators from Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province Fanatically Arrest Practitioners
On April 13, perpetrators from Division 1 of the Fushun Police Department and officers from Qingyuan County Police Department dispatched 50 police cars. They sped to Bawanggou Village, Gengjiabao Village and Shipaidi Village in Nankouqian Town. The perpetrators surrounded the practitioners' homes and frightened the neighbors.
Then they broke into and ransacked the practitioners' homes and arrested the practitioners. They have arrested more than 20 practitioners so far. Practitioner Ms. Yu Fengying's father just passed away, but she was arrested before she could attend the funeral.
On April 18, the officials from the Qingyuan County Party Committee held an urgent meeting and made many arrangements. They sent four perpetrators to watch each practitioner. They investigated every practitioner and persecuted them. In the afternoon, practitioner Ms. Jing in her 60s was arrested.
In the past five years, the perpetrators from Division 1 of the Fushun Police Department have destroyed many Falun Gong materials production sites in San County and extorted money from Falun Gong practitioners. Many practitioners have been arrested, beaten and sentenced to heavy prison terms.

Fushun City Police Department in Nankouqian Town, Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province Arrests Practitioners
At around 5:00 a.m. on March 14, the Fushun City Police Department in Liaoning Province dispatched more than 100 officers to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. More than 30 arrests have been verified but we suspect the actual number is more than 50. The details are unclear due to the information blockade. Another source said that the perpetrators plan to arrest 400 practitioners and have already arrested more than 200.
Perpetrators in Kaiyuan City, Liaoning Province Arrest and Interfere with Practitioners
On April 14, perpetrators from the Kaiyuan City Police Department in Liaoning Province went to Zhao Zhenwen, the Xiafei Township CCP Committee Secretary. Zhao Zhenwen went to Zhu Yunbao, a village Party secretary. Zhu Yunbao led the police officers to arrest practitioners Li Guihua and Su Changqin. They also tried to arrest a practitioner whose name is not mentioned for her protection, who was working in the fields at the time. She escaped with righteous thoughts. The perpetrators didn't have any warrant when they arrested and persecuted the practitioners.

Six Falun Gong Practitioners in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province were Arrested
On April 22, 2005, the police arrested practitioners Wang Xiaoming, Wen Kuan and four other practitioners in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province at Wen Kuan's home. The police also ransacked Wen Kuan's home. Liang, an officer from North Mingde Street Police Station was one who arrested practitioners. Right now, the six practitioners are being held at the Shisanli Detention Center in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. Practitioner Mr. Wang Xiaoming has swollen lymph nodes; his neck is stiff and he has blood in his stool. Instead of releasing him, the perpetrators are demanding money from him.

The Police Arrest Practitioner Mr. Zheng Hongjie and His Wife, Ms. Zhang Lishan, in Shijiazhuang City and Ransack Their Home
Practitioner Mr. Zheng Hongjie works at a government department in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. On the morning of April 23, Mr. Zheng and his wife Ms. Zhang Lishan went out to distribute Falun Gong materials. After 11:00 a.m., four police officers took Mr. Zheng home. All four officers wore black civilian clothes with the word "police" on their neckties. One of the police officers knew Mr. Zheng.
The police ransacked his home but didn't dare to take money. Two cars, one black and one white, parked in front of the building where Mr. Zheng lived. The police took a computer and other things from his home. Then they took Mr. Zheng with them. His current whereabouts are unknown.

On the morning of March 9, 2005, perpetrators from the Qianan National Security Division and from the "610 Office" arrested practitioner Mr. Liu Jinfu from Xujialou Village, Beijiadian Town, Guye District, Tangshan City. Mr. Liu's current whereabouts are unknown.
At around 2:00 p.m. that same day, the perpetrators ransacked Mr. Liu's home and arrested his wife Ms. Guo Shuxian, also a Falun Gong practitioner. The Qianan National Security Division is further persecuting the couple.

On April 23, 2005, seven police officers from Zhuozhou, Hebei Province broke into the home of practitioner Hu Gengyuan in South Hengqi Village. They found a picture of Teacher and arrested Hu Gengyuan. That same day, several police officers also searched the homes of several practitioners in North Hengqi Village. Practitioner Ms. Liu Fengran was not home; only her mother-in-law was home, but the police still conducted the search by force without a warrant.

Practitioner Gao Yumei from Wangou Mine, Jiangyuan County, Jilin Province Arrested and Sent to a Brainwashing Center
Practitioner Ms. Gao Yumei, 49 years old, who lived on Xinggong Street, Wangou Mine, Jiangyuan County was arrested and was sent to the Jiangyuan County Brainwashing Center, held in the front courtyard of the Jiangyuan County Detention Center.
At around 10:00 a.m. on April 19, Yu Qingzhen, the director of the Wangou Town Politics and Law Committee and two officials from the county government went to practitioner Ms. Gao Yumei's home. They demanded that she write a guarantee statement, but Ms. Gao refused. They left. A little while later, local police officers Yu Zhenhai, Zhao Xiumin, Liu Xuhong and others went to Ms. Gao's home and took her to the mine office. They asked her some questions and said to her, "You are fine; now you can go home."
Early the next morning, the local police took Ms. Gao from her home to the Jiangyuan County Detention Center. After 8:00 a.m. Ms. Gao's husband returned home after a night shift and didn't see his wife. He went out and looked for her but couldn't find her. On April 21, the local police sent a detention warrant to Ms. Gao's husband. That was when he learned that his wife had been sent to the Jiangyuan County Brainwashing Center.

Practitioners Ms. Xie Changxiu and Others in Pengzhou, Sichuan Province Recently Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Xie Changxiu in Zhuwa of Pengzhou City was recently arrested and her home ransacked. It was learned that the police drove three cars and took away many copies of Zhuan Falun and other books and Falun Gong materials. Also arrested were her husband, not a practitioner, and two elderly fellow practitioners who were studying Falun Gong at her home at the time. Only her son who was attending elementary school was left home. It is thought that she was reported when distributing the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party a few days earlier.

Four Elderly Practitioners in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province Arrested
On the evening of March 25, 2005, four elderly practitioners, three female and one male, the oldest in his 70s, went to Liyujiang, Chenzhou City to distribute truth clarification flyers. They were arrested and are now being held at different detention centers.
Practitioner Ms. Zhou Xiaohong is being held at the No. 1 Detention Center in Chenzhou City, practitioner Mr. Liang Changxing, in his 70s, was already released, and another practitioner is being held at the Zixing Detention Center.
Several Practitioners from Xiangtan City, Hunan Province Arrested and Their Homes Ransacked
At around 8:00 p.m. on February 24, 2005, a group of police officers broke into the home of practitioner Quan Huiping from the Jiangbin Factory in Xiangtan City. They took Teacher's picture and some Falun Gong books. He Wenxin, an officer from the Dahualing Police Station and Zhang, the newly appointed deputy director of the Security Division at the Jiangbin Factory were two of the perpetrators.
Another practitioner had his Falun Gong books confiscated; practitioner Cao Lijiao was arrested and sent to the Sanjiaoping Detention Center.
The former policy at the Sanjiaoping Detention Center in Xiangtan City was that outside visits were allowed as long as the visitors paid a fee. However, all visits were cancelled last Wednesday, April 20, because a female practitioner named Guo was tortured to death and the perpetrators wanted to block information. The details await further investigation.

My name is Xu Qingyan. I was recently released from the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. The Mansanjia Forced Labor Camp is just one of the concentration camps where Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted. I am still alive, although I was near death. I want to solemnly declare here that I am innocent, and not guilty of any charges leveled against me. I have been persecuted for my beliefs. I'd like to tell everyone all that I experienced in the forced labor camp during the past year.

The inhuman and brutal treatment and tortures that I suffered during the year in the labor camp made me realize that the so-called rule-by-law society in Communist China is nothing but a smoke screen and fraud. I have come to know the true nature of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its principles of "falsehood, wickedness, combativeness, violence and deceit." Masanjia Forced Labor Camp is also called Masanjia Intellectual Training School, to fool the world about the nature of the camp. To tell the truth, Masanjia Forced Labor Camp is just like hell on earth. Inside the camp, Falun Gong practitioners are being persecuted through a number of torture methods. Yet, the guards employed in the camp live in constant fear of being exposed, and fear that their inhuman treatment of practitioners will be in revealed.
I started to practice Falun Gong in 1997, and I became much healthier and benefited greatly physically and mentally from the practice. After the persecution started, just because of practicing Falun Gong, I was unlawfully arrested, and sentenced to forced labor a number of times. Moreover, my house has been ransacked many times. I suffered brutal tortures, and almost lost my life due to the persecution. Only a short time ago, I became comatose at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp due to the persecution. My very life hung by a thin thread. The camp guards were afraid that I might die while in the camp, and therefore, they quickly sent me home.
On the night of February 2, 2004, armed police officers Cai Yong, Zhang Wenxin and a few others from the Daxue Public Security Station of Taihe District, Jinzhou City, illegally ransacked my house, and arrested and detained me in the Jinzhou City First Detention Center. At the end of the month, I was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor without any legal process. I was then sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
The staff at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp have been trained to brutally and inhumanly torture Falun Gong practitioners. They are expert torturers. When I first arrived at the camp, they tied me to a bed for several hours. Then, they tried very hard to open my mouth. As a result, my lower front teeth became loose. Those perpetrating this torture included Cao Hongying from Yi County, Zhao Xiujuan from Fuxin County, Lu Huimin from Dalian City and several others. After they successfully pried my mouth open, they stuffed onions into my mouth. They wanted to keep me from talking. They also wrapped my mouth with a piece of towel. Another time, a former practitioner named Yu Shimin from Lingyuan County (who had given up the practice under brainwashing and torture) slapped my left ear so hard that I lost my hearing in that ear and have not regained it.
One day, camp guards Zhang Xiurong, Da Yuhong and Yang Xiaofeng and others rushed into my cell and handcuffed both my hands to the bed. Then, they wrapped my mouth with duct tape and left me alone in the cell. I felt nauseated, short of breath and lost consciousness. I was kneeling with my left knee on the ground and my head touched the ground. After I woke up, I realized that my entire body was in a sweat and my face was as white as a piece of white paper. I was tied up in this position for several days. During each subsequent day, I was allowed to eat and go to the rest room only around 8 p.m..
One day in June, camp guard Yang Xiaofeng, and someone with the surname of Li forcefully dragged me to a mental hospital. Yang was bent on intensifying the persecution against me. These guards had planned to lock me inside the mental hospital and use drugs to torture me. I shouted loudly: "Falun Dafa is good, Falun Gong practitioners are innocent!" I just kept "clarifying the truth" to everyone I met and told people how I had been persecuted by the wicked camp guards. The two camp guards failed to lock me up in the mental hospital. They had to take me back to the forced labor camp. These guards tried to get money from me after I returned to the camp. That night, I was handcuffed for the entire night.
The next morning, I was dragged into a tiny cell. There are a total of nine tiny cells, which are located on the fourth floor of a camp building. Each tiny cell is only large enough to place two twin beds together. Four of the nine tiny cells are practically airtight, without ventilation. It is very hard to breathe inside such cells. A loudspeaker had been installed inside each cell, through which they continuously broadcast damaging high-decibel noises, such as the high-pitched sounds from a broken radio or record player. One's health will be severely damaged after being exposed to such noises. One practitioner named Wang Jinfeng vomited blood after being locked in a tiny cell for three days. Another practitioner, Mi Yanli, had a heart attack after being locked in a tiny cell. Both of these practitioners had to be rushed to the emergency room in the camp hospital, their lives hanging in the balance.
In order to protest the brutal persecutions in the camp, a practitioner named Zhu Yun went on a hunger strike that lasted for a whole year. Another practitioner, Xie Dewen, also went on a hunger strike that lasted for seven or eight months. Around January of 2004, both practitioners were thrown into the tiny cells and they were locked in there for more than three months. The floors of the tiny cells where they had been imprisoned were covered with bloodstains. Such stains were strong evidence of the force-feeding the two practitioners were subjected to by the cruel camp guards. At one time, practitioner Xie Dewen was forced to sit on a so-called tiger bench, injuring his buttocks, which festered as a result. I was once tied up in a straight position in a completely blocked tiny cell, and was not allowed to sleep for 24 hours. Even when my menstrual blood flowed on the floor, no one helped me clean up. I was also forced to sit on a tiger bench for 20 days. After I was released from the tiger bench, camp guard Yang Xiaofeng sneered at me: "Ok, now you must have been comfortable, look at your feet, they are as swollen as pig's feet."
On the first day of September 2004, guards Zhang Xiuyin and Yang Xiaofeng handcuffed me to a rack in a storage room. I was kept in that position for nine days and nine nights. They didn't allow me to sleep. I was forced to stand continuously with my arms stretched out at my sides. Consequently, my feet became swollen and were covered with blisters. Other perpetrators during this torture included Jiang Chunxiang from Dandong County and Li Junying from Jinzhou City. I no longer could walk normally afterwards.
On the first day of December 2004, camp guards Zhang Xiurong and Zhang Zhuohui beat and kicked me severely. After that, they threw me into a tiny cell that was freezing cold, like an icicle. I was locked in the cell for several days. After I was finally released from the cell, all my joints began to hurt excruciatingly. I don't have the words to explain the pain I suffered. It became difficult for me to walk. Even after one month, I still needed people to help me walk.
On the first day of January 2005, camp guards from the No. 2 Cellblock began even stricter monitoring procedures on more than 30 steadfast practitioners. All these practitioners were kept isolated from the outside world. At that time, all the practitioners began to protest against this persecution and they all went on a hunger strike. In February, I was again locked inside a tiny cell. As a result, I passed blood from my rectum, a condition which lasted for more than 40 days. No one took care of me.
On the first day of April 2005, the camp decided to impose strict rules on all 144 practitioners who refused to renounce Falun Gong. These practitioners were allowed to eat only black corn buns, were not allowed to take showers or wash their clothes, and all basic human rights were taken away. All practitioners again went on a hunger strike, to protest such treatment. One day, completely unexpected, some seven or eight camp guards rushed into the cellblock and immediately immobilized several practitioners, holding them to the ground. They then placed a plastic bag around the practitioners' heads and began to beat them with police batons. The whole building was immediately filled with unbearable screams. Practitioners Wang Jinfeng, Dong Jingzhe, Qiu Li and some others were almost suffocated during this abuse.
Practitioner Dong Jingzhe went on a hunger strike for around two months in protest. Her legs were paralyzed as a result of the persecution. She no longer could take care of herself. Another practitioner, Song Lianyin, had her legs injured because of forced intravenous injections. She had difficulty walking and couldn't sit on the toilet. It is quite clear that the camp guards had injected the practitioners with unknown, toxic drugs. Many of the practitioners who had been given such injections suffered from paralyzed legs. Furthermore, many practitioners were rushed to the hospital for emergency care after they received the injections.
As further abuse, the forced labor camp extended the term for many practitioners. Some of the extensions went beyond more than half a year. Practitioner Zhong Shujuan had been detained more than two months beyond her release date and she was locked in a tiny cell several times. On April 25 of 2005, camp guard Zhang Huan dragged Zhong Shujuan outside and beat her severely. On the first day of December 2002, when the camp was carrying out an intensive campaign against Falun Gong practitioners, Zhong Shujuan was beaten so severely that her nose bled for more than 40 days. The perpetrators in that incident included Li Junyin from Jinzhou City and Zhao Xiuquan from Fuxin County. The depraved people also stripped off Ms. Zhong's shirt and wrote slanderous remarks against Falun Gong and the Teacher on her body. Zhong Shujuan was not allowed to sleep, day and night.
On April 25, 2005, another practitioner with the name of Qiu Li was dragged outside and physically abused. At that time, Qiu Li had already been on hunger strike for more than 20 days. That same day, practitioners Xie Yulan and Wang Jinfeng were also beaten severely by camp guards. Consequently, these two practitioners developed dizziness and nausea and had to be hospitalized. Practitioner Xia Yulan who was already 57 years old went on a hunger strike for more than half a month. Throughout her hunger strike, the camp guards' force-fed her daily. Another practitioner with the name of Meng Guiqiu lost two of her lower front teeth when camp guards tried to pry her mouth open for force-feeding. On April 2, 2005, guard Su Jing handcuffed Meng Guiqiu to a heater pipe (this officer was since given an award of 50,000 yuan by the public security department).
On the morning of April 17, 2005, camp guard Xie took me to the reception room and began to beat me. He shouted at me: "I just want to beat you." Afterwards, he handcuffed me to a heater pipe and I had to stand there for a long time. I became deaf after the beating. The upper and lower wisdom teeth on my right side became loose, my heart began to ache excruciatingly and I lost consciousness for a long period of time. My clothes became wet from a cold sweat and I no longer could stand up. I had to squat down. The more I tried to pull my hands from the handcuffs, the tighter the handcuffs became. I didn't know how long I was unconscious. After I woke up, I tried to stand up. But, as soon as I almost stood straight, I lost my eyesight and fell down, with my head hitting a nearby office desk. I lost consciousness once more. When I woke up for the second time, I noticed that camp guard Li Mingyu had come into the room. She had come to interrogate me. I refused to sign any documents and Li stood up to kick me. She then duct-taped my mouth and yelled at me: "Who asked you to clarify the truth to me." After that, I was not given any food, nor allowed to go to the restroom for 14 hours. Around noon, I requested to go to the restroom. Prison guard Liu Jing simply refused my request. I finally was taken from this room at 10 p.m. The pain in my back and legs was excruciating. I could barely stand such pain. That night, I couldn't close my eyes or sleep a wink the entire night. I developed unbearable pain in my lower abdomen, as I was not allowed to use the toilet for 14 hours straight.
Around April 19 or 20 (I can't remember the exact date as my mind was not clear after being severely beaten), my life was ebbing away. The depraved camp guards were afraid that I might die inside the camp, so therefore they sent me to the camp hospital. The hospital diagnosis was that I had five tumors; the diameter of the largest tumor was around 12 centimeters and the smaller ones were around 5 to 6 centimeters, respectively.
On April 24, 2005, I was barely breathing. At 10 a.m., I was rushed again to the emergency room. After I returned to the camp, camp guard Xie took me to the reception room again and threatened me, "Ok, I know you were telling everyone in the hospital that I beat you. Let me tell you, if you continue to do that, I will continue to beat you. See, if you have the power, go ahead and sue me." His attitude was contemptible.
On April 26 of 2005 at 6:30 a.m., the camp sent me back to my home as I had taken a turn for the worse and was barely breathing. My stomach was so swollen, as if I were 6 months pregnant. My face was swollen, and two thirds of my hair had turned gray. Around 5 a.m. the day that I was sent back home, I clearly heard camp guard Xie's shouting about beating someone. Several practitioners were dragged outside and beaten severely by a group of male guards.
Inside the so-called "Masanjia Intellectual Training School," horrible persecution is being perpetrated daily, without letting up! We call upon all the kind people worldwide to stand up against such atrocities. We should no longer let all those CCP-educated guards use their abusive power, which lets them kill people with such ease. We also strongly urge the UN's human rights organizations, all the governments worldwide and all kind people to speak up and stop the persecution! This continued inhuman torture and killing of Falun Gong practitioners in China must be brought to an end immediately. At the same time, we also ask all practitioners worldwide to send forth powerful righteous thoughts to eliminate and destroy the wicked Masanjia Forced Labor Camp!

Ms. He Xiuping from Dingxing County, Hebei Province was sent to Liyuzhuang Brainwashing Center for persecution in July 2003. There she suffered a mental collapse and fell into a stupor within a month's time. Currently she has not been able to recover and cannot take care of herself.
Ms. He Xiuping, 49 years old, is from Jiushi Village, Gaoili Township, Dingxing County. After 1999 she was arrested, detained, sent to labor camp, and fined by the police in Gaoili Township because she persisted in cultivating Falun Gong steadfastly.
On August 7, 2003, Zhang Qiuhua, Liu Guihua, and several police from the 610 Office forced He Xiuping into a car at her home and sent her to Liyuzhuang Brainwashing Center.
There, in spite of the torture that the police inflicted upon her, she still clarified the truth about Falun Gong to them, but the police refused to listen. So He Xiuping sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements controlling the policemen. The police burned her leg with a piece of heated charcoal, and she lost consciousness on the spot from the pain. The police poured cold water on her and brought her back to consciousness. Then they continued to torture her.
She was tortured this way repeatedly. As a result, she fell into a stupor within a month and lost control of her bowels and bladder. Even so, the police still tried to extort money from her family, but her family refused to pay them off. Finally, they had to send her to the hospital and informed her family to pick her up. Currently she is still unable to take care of herself and remains in a stupor.

On the evening of May 3, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners Peng Xizao, Ma Yumei and Yu Yonghua from Hong'an County, Hubei Province were arrested and held at the County No.1 Detention Center. At present they are on a hunger strike to protest the arrest. Details need to be investigated.

On May 3, 2005, when practitioner Ms. Li Ruifen's nephew came back from Kaifeng City to his home in Zhengzhou City, he put a VCD of the "Nine Commentaries" in his luggage. It was discovered at the Zhengzhou Railway Station. When they found it, the police arrested him. On the evening of May 5, personnel from the Railway Police Station ransacked Ms. Li's home. They also arrested Ms. Li and her husband Mr. Zhang Weiyun.

6. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wei Jiying Arrested When Distributing Falun Dafa Truth-Clarifying Materials
Practitioner Ms. Wei Jiying from Yongxing Town, Mianyang City, 63 years old, started practicing Falun Gong in 1996. In 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong and was subsequently held for about a month. Later she was released after the police extorted ten thousand Yuan from her family.
At around 4:00 p.m. on May 1, 2005, the police arrested her when she was distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials at the Yongxing Town Market in Mianyang City. Then they ransacked her home. At present she is being held at the Mianyang City Detention Center.

Practitioner Ms. Song Yuhua, in her 60s, is from Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. On May 3, 2005, policemen found her place of residence and ransacked her home without reason. They found a bag of Falun Dafa books and some materials; then they put her into a detention center.

In the middle of April 2005, five officers from the Laoxialu Police Station including Li Lin and others from the community office broke into the house of practitioner Ms. Zhu Yujiao, who is in her 50s. They put her into administrative detention for seven days at the Qingtangwan Detention Center. After extorting some money from her family, the police transferred her to a brainwashing center.
In the middle of April, the police arrested practitioner Ms. Chen Yuanzhi, who lives in the Ergang Residential Building in Xinxialu. Rumor has it that she is being held in a Wuhan City Brainwashing Center.

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Qizhong, 59 years old, is an employee of the No. 4 Factory, Jiangyou City Great Wall Special Steel Company. In 2000 he went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong and was sentenced to one year of forced labor. In October 2004, personnel from Mianyang City's National Security Division arrested Mr. Zhang at home. This time he was sentenced to 15 months of forced labor. They also ransacked his home.

11. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Nearly a Hundred Practitioners Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Ma Xiaoping has a Falun Gong materials production center in her home. Her whole family was arrested including three brothers, a sister-in-law and a nephew.
Practitioner Ms. Wang Yimin, over 50 years old, has a Falun Gong materials production center in her home. Her whole family was arrested including her son, daughter, son-in-law, and younger brother. They all suffered an excruciating torture called the "Big Hang-up" while in police custody. Ms. Wang was handcuffed to a heater pipe for seven days around the clock. They were then separated and each put into a solitary confinement. Ms. Wang's nine-year-old grandson was also brought to the Zhengyang Police Station.
Torture method: "Big Hang Up"
The practitioners wear heavy helmets and are suspended by a rope that is tied to their handcuffs. Their feet are tied with a rope that is swung back and forth. They are verbally abused and beaten at the same time. This lasts a very long time each time. When the practitioners are let down they cannot move at all. Some practitioners were suspended several times in a row. They all ended up bruised all over the body.
At present, it's said that a hundred practitioners have been arrested. So far only six of them have been released.

12. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Kuang Deying and Ms. Wang Ling Held at the Dabanqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp
On October 13, 2004, practitioner Ms. Kuang Deying from Kunming City was arrested. After that she was held at the Qiaojia Detention Center in Dongchuan City. At the end of April 2005, she was transferred to the Dabanqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp for three years of forced labor. The police threatened Ms. Kuang's mother and forbad her to visit Ms. Kuang in the forced labor camp.
Ms. Wang Ling is now held at the Dabanqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp. The police demanded that her mother not visit her. It has been over half a year that the mother and daughter haven't seen each other. Ms. Wang experienced all-body edema. After seeing her, her family member demanded that the Kunming City's Drug Rehabilitation Institute let her out for hospitalization. One day at the end of April a guard who wouldn't disclose his name (telephone: 86-871-3815445) called. The guard claimed Ms. Wang had violated the labor camp rules and thus her meeting with her family was canceled. He claimed the labor camp would also notify her family about it. Later Ms. Wang called home but her family didn't mention it and the labor camp didn't notify her family at all.

13. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Many Practitioners Arrested
On March 5, 2005, police from the Linzhou City National Security Division broke into practitioner Guo Caiyun's and Shen Haifang's homes at Shenjiabo Village in Linzhou City. They found Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials and then detained the two practitioners. They are currently being detained at the Linzhou City Detention Center. On April 1, an arrest certificate was issued.
Practitioner Mr. Wei Xianrui, 52 years old, is from Wangyangpo Village, Hejian Town, Linzhou City. He was arrested on March 15, 2005, when he went to Jincheng City in Shanxi Province to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Where he is detained is unknown.
On March 16, 2005, practitioner Wang Heying, 54 years old from Wangyangpo Village, was arrested at home. Policemen found Falun Gong books and some truth-clarifying banners.
14. [Gong'an County, Hubei Province] Ms. Jiang Hong Arrested Again
At about 3:00 p.m. on April 25, 2005, Yuan Danqiang, Yang Jianwen, Ye Chao (jobless) and Xiang Xiaoyang (a policeman from the National Security Department) from Gong'an County in Hubei Province searched Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Jiang Hong's house and arrested her. Ms. Jiang has been held nine times in detention centers and twice in forced labor camps.
15. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Yufeng Arrested
On the evening of April 19, 2005, the police arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Yufeng from Shenzhou City. She is currently being held at the Shenzhou City Detention Center. The details are under investigation.
16. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhou Kelin Arrested Again
Mr. Zhou Kelin, 60 years old, is from Shiziping Village, Louzhangzi Township, Qinglong County, Hebei Province. He began to learn Falun Gong in the spring in 1998 and has benefited both physically and mentally. Since 1999 when the persecution of Falun Gong in China began, policemen from the Qinglong County Police Department and the Louzhangzi Police Station have often persecuted him.
In the summer of 2000, officer Su and others from the Louzhangzi Police Station forcibly sent Mr. Zhou to the Qinglong Legal System Education Center for forced brainwashing. After being strongly pressured, Mr. Zhou wrote a guarantee statement. On September 29, 2000, Mr. Zhou was on his way to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. The police arrested him before he got there and put him in the Qinglong Detention Center for over six months. His family spent 530 Yuan to bail him out.
In the spring of 2001, Mr. Zhou was again sent to a brainwashing center for ten days. In 2005 he announced that all of the things he had said or done against his will were invalid. At about 3:00 p.m. on April 13, 2995, as soon as he came back home, the police station director, Han Yihua, Jin Zhaoli and other personnel from the Qinglong Police Station went to his house and searched it. They arrested Mr. Zhou, took him to the police station and later sent him to the Qinglong County Detention Center. He has not yet been released.
