The University of Sydney, a famous university in Australia, has 40,000 enrolled students. For a long period of time, due to the lack of truth-clarification here, the evil was rampant at the university. For example, the Chinese student association, which is influenced by the Chinese Consulate, often spread defamatory information about Falun Dafa to its members. Some instructors offered courses promoting the evil party's culture, which misled people's understandings about Falun Dafa. A communist club composed of westerners often conducted activities on the campus as well. Furthermore, the executive president of the university proclaimed that the University of Sydney's promulgation ceremony and an alumni reunion will be held in Beijing this September. The Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) flag is also displayed on the university's website.

To address this situation, practitioners who are also students at this university clarified the facts and delivered truth-clarifying materials to the Student Representative Council (SRC) several times. Finally, the SRC understood the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. They decided to conduct a seminar on behalf of Falun Gong. Practitioners realized that this would be a precious opportunity arranged by Master to save peoples.

On May 17, 2005, a truth-clarifying poster exhibition and a seminar about the persecution of Falun Gong in China were held in front of the university's library and SRC building. The event effectively shocked the evil.

Early one morning, in the misty rain, practitioners drove a big truck with an eye-catching Falun Dafa message to the university. They brought truth-clarifying posters, display boards, petition forms, and various kinds of truth-clarifying materials that they prepared with their whole hearts. When the practitioners arrived at the campus, they set up the display boards and posters, and distributed materials in front of the library where crowds of people passed by. Some students were immediately attracted to the truth-clarifying posters and materials, and took the initiative to sign the petition in support of Falun Gong.

At this point, security guards from the university and staff members from the administration office came to ask if we had permission for the event. Although all activities were arranged by the SRC, we did not apply for permission to the university's administration office. Facing this situation, we clarified the truth to the staff and presented them with the "Nine Commentaries on Communist Party." After they learned the facts, the security guards and the staff members from the administration office were very supportive. They gave us a thumbs up and made an exception to allow us to continue our activity. We personally experienced that clarifying the truth is really the master key!

The seminar began at 2:00 p.m. Practitioners decorated the hallway outside the conference hall with colorful posters, which allowed many students passing by to learn about the truth of the persecution. During the seminar, Kay Rubacek, spokesperson of the New South Wales Falun Dafa Association, Falun Gong practitioner Jennifer Zeng, and a representative from the SRC at the University of Sydney delivered speeches. Ms. Rubacek related her own experiences of going to China to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong. Jennifer Zeng talked about the cruel persecution that she experienced in China. The two practitioners' speeches deeply moved attendees. Quite a number of people shed tears.



The student representative's speech was full of a sense of justice and righteousness. She said that the Australian government ignores the Chinese communist regime's human rights violations and plans to sign a free trade agreement with China. She pointed out that this not only harmed Australian people's interests, but also exploited hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners, dissidents, and religious followers, who are imprisoned in China's forced labor camps. She stated that no matter which country in the world does things that violate morality, justice, and human rights, every one of us have the responsibility to stand up and prevent it, because human rights need to be safeguarded by all of us. After the speech, she expressed her wish to hold events on behalf of Falun Gong again. Two attendees expressed their wish to learn Falun Gong right on the spot.

During the activities, it rained from time to time. Sometimes, a gust of wind blew down the display boards or blew the posters several dozen meters away, but practitioners were not moved at all. They sent forth righteous thoughts and clarified the facts to students and passersby until the event concluded. When practitioners were leaving, the university security guard sincerely said goodbye to practitioners, and continuously expressed his thankfulness to them. Perhaps he was moved by practitioners' persistence and selflessness.

Invited by the organizers' committee of the Moncton Health Expo, Falun Dafa practitioners from Halifax, Canada went to the City of Moncton to promote Falun Dafa on April 30 and May 1, 2005.

During the two-day expo, the Falun Gong practitioners' booth was a bright spot, visited the most frequently. At our booth, we played the exercise instruction video and taught the exercises. We also instructed people on how to fold paper lotus flowers. On the first day, just after we arrived at the exhibition hall and began setting up, people were already waiting there and wanted to learn the Falun Gong exercises. During the Expo, a constant stream of people came to learn the exercises. Even when the Expo concluded, some people were still reluctant to leave, wanting to learn the exercises from us.

During the activity, practitioners used their pure hearts to clarify the truth, introduce Falun Dafa and teach the exercises. Because a great number of people came to learn the exercises, we hardly had any time to take a break. When we looked at the earnest faces, the anxious expressions, we felt very happy although we were very tired. At the same time, we felt our responsibility as Dafa practitioners. There are many people with predestined relationships and we don't want to miss anyone. We wanted to allow all of them to learn the truth so that they can be saved.

There were many touching stories during the two-day event.

The organizer of the Expo came to our booth on the afternoon of the first day and told us, "Your introduction to Falun Gong is really good! Every visitor here wants to visit your booth and many people want to learn the exercises." Many people who visited our booth told the organizer that the 3-dollar admission ticket to the Expo was really worth it.

After learning the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, two young ladies told us that they had passed by our booth by chance and they ended up learning such a good set of exercises that was beyond their expectation. They said that this was exactly what they were looking for. They felt very fortunate and wished that they could learn the exercises more from us later.

Many people asked if there was a specific exercise-instruction class. They left their contact information and hoped that we would inform them of the class schedule as soon as possible.

Lots of people learned the exercises directly from us or watched the exercise-instruction videotape when they passed by. They could feel our strong energy field and felt very comfortable. Because there were so many people learning the exercises in front of our booth and the place was not large enough, some people had to come back again and again to see if there was an available place for them to learn the exercises.

The theme of the Expo was, "Mind, Body and Spirit." We mainly introduced what Falun Gong is and the beauty of Falun Gong. Nevertheless, we found out that quite a few people were aware of the persecution encountered by Falun Gong in China. Nearly half of the people asked us why such a beautiful practice is being suppressed in China. They were quite confused about it. We told them that Falun Gong teaches "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" which is fundamentally opposite to the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) principles of "falsehood, evilness and violence." The CCP does not only want to control heaven, earth, and human beings, but it wants to control mankind's thoughts as well. Most Canadian people do not have good feelings towards the CCP. After learning the facts, they felt that the CCP is really foolish.

After learning the Falun Gong exercises, two girls wanted to make a donation. We told them that all Falun Gong activities are taught voluntarily and are free of charge and we don't accept donations. They were quite moved upon hearing this. They said that they thought we needed money to travel here and for our lodging. In addition, they knew that the informational materials cost money too. They wished that they could make some contribution. I told them that if they could learn Falun Dafa and let more people know about Dafa, that would be the greatest contribution.

After listening to my introduction about the persecution experienced by Falun Gong practitioners in China, a woman who had just moved from Ottawa to Moncton asked me, "What can we do to help you?" I told her to raise awareness about Falun Dafa to everyone she encountered and tell them that Falun Dafa is great and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good. I said, when more people learn about the truth, the evil will have nowhere to do evil and the persecution will end soon. The woman told us that each time she passed by the Chinese Consulate in Ottawa, she could see practitioners peacefully appealing there. Each time, she would slow down her car and combine all her love, thoughts and energy with the practitioners', in order to support them. Before she left, she warmly embraced me and hoped that we would come again to teach the exercises. She said that she would like to find a practice site for us and serve as a coordinator.

The performance took place at Karlsplatz in Munich on May 13, 2005. Falun Gong practitioners from Bavaria met together to hold activities to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day and the 13th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public. As soon as the practitioners who took part in the waist drum performance arrived on the square, the public was very curious. The elderly couple was even going around the practitioners one-by-one making detailed inquiries. When they were told that they had to wait for a while until the performance started, they simply found a place nearby to sit down and wait patiently.

The performance started. The call of "Falun Gong is Great" in a stirring sound of gongs and drums attracted people to the square. Many people were seriously looking at the exhibition boards where they could read an introduction to Falun Gong and its spread all over the world. People came to the stage asking about Falun Gong and where they could learn the exercises. They all felt astonished when they heard that such a good practice was being brutally persecuted in China. They were eager to find out why the Chinese Communist regime is persecuting Falun Gong and how they could help the practitioners in China.

The elderly couple stayed there for a long, long time. After watching the waist drum performance and a demonstration of the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, the old man lowered his head, seriously reading the leaflet in his hands. What they took home with them was not only their appreciation for the costumes of Falun Gong practitioners; we believe that the goodness of Falun Gong was also imprinted deep in their hearts.
