People have been shocked by the brutality of the persecution exposed in the December 1, 2005, Clearwisdom article (1) "Chinese Policeman Rapes Two Female Falun Gong Practitioners." In order to help more people see clearly the evil nature of this persecution, one of the victims, Ms. Liu Jizhi has revealed the details of her experience.

My name is Liu Jizhi. I'm fifty-one years old, and live in Xituan Village, Dongchengfang Town, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province. My husband's name is Wei Xiliang, and he's forty-eight years old. We have two daughters who are both in college. I started practicing Falun Gong in February 1999. I used to have low blood pressure, arrhythmia, and leg pain. My biggest problem was an acutely dislocated disk, which made it so I could not get out of bed. My husband used to take care of me and also tend the fields. He took over all the household duties. My sicknesses also caused me to have a bad temper.

After only one month of practicing Falun Gong, I could rejoin the field labor crews, do household chores, and my family became peaceful. My children all said, "Mom, you have become a better person." Falun Gong changed my life and brought happiness to my family. But several months later, the CCP scoundrel regime started the persecution of Falun Gong. Local officials from the government and police station kept harassing us during so-called "sensitive" days. The peaceful life of our family disappeared.

On November 24, 2005, around 8:00 p.m., a group of strangers suddenly stormed into my house. Our yard gate was locked, so they climbed over our stone fence. I was doing housework and was shocked by their behavior. The strangers were shouting in my house, rampaging everywhere. The Political Director Xing (male) of the local police station ordered me to stand still. I asked them while still shivering, "Who are you? What are you doing?" They shouted back, "Don't ask! Don't move!"

After trashing my house, they took away a diary (which contains Teacher's poems Hongyin that I copied by hand), a truth clarifying booklet, two audiotapes, 2 boom boxes that my daughters used to learn English, and one CD player. They pushed me into the car (Songhuajiang brand), and took me to the Village Office.

I saw my fellow practitioners, Ms. Han Yuzhi, Mr. Wei Baoliang, and Mr. Wang Helin already detained in the Village Office; the leaders of the 610 office of the Dongchengfang Town Police Station,Chai Yuqiao (male) and Song Xiaobin (gender unknown) were also there. After they locked me in the room, that group of villains went out to arrest more practitioners. Later they arrested another practitioner, Ms. Qu Wenting, then pushed us all into a vehicle, and took us to the Dongchengfang Town Police Station; they locked us in an office, and interrogated us one by one.

They first interrogated me. Political Director Xing took me into his office. Policeman He Xuejian (male) and another male policeman were in the room. Xing asked, "Sit down, tell me from whom you learned Falun Gong? Have you practiced together with Mr. Wang Helin? Anybody else?" I said, No." He asked again, "Have you practiced with practitioners in other villages? Have you practiced with Han Yuzhi?" I told him no. Xing then said, "You are not being honest. Aren't you Falun Gong practitioners supposed to tell the truth?" I told him I was speaking the truth. Xing said again, "My mother is the same age as you. I hope you tell me the truth, otherwise I will have to be bad mannered with you." I told him again that I spoke the truth. Xing then said, "Looks like you are very innocent, but you do not speak the truth. Stand up!"

He loudly ordered me to sit in a squat with my arms raised up, then he beat me with a rubber baton on my buttocks. It was too painful to bear. He breathed heavily due to beating me so hard. He said, "You Falun Gong practitioners are too resolute, but I don't believe that we cannot beat you into giving in." Policeman He Xuejian came over also, grabbed my collar bone very hard, and slapped me three or four times. They saw that I still would not give in. He used an electric baton to shock my thighs, and claimed the baton was not working well.

Another policeman in the room said, "I will go get my baton to help you shock her." But he could not find his baton, and went out and looked in all the rooms. They then used a rubber baton to beat me brutally. I fell forward because I could not bear the beating any longer. They pulled me up, and continued to beat me, leaving many bruises on my body.

They were tired because they beat me so hard. He Xuejian grabbed my breast, and said with a dirty smile, "Am I a scoundrel?" At this time they wrote up the interrogation report, but did not allow me to see it. They forced me down saying, "These statements are correct. Confirm what I have recorded," and forced me to acknowledge it with my fingerprint on the report. They took me back to the office afterwards.

The second interrogation occurred around 11 p.m. Policeman He Xuejian took me to another room, where 610 Office Head Chai Yuqiao was reading a newspaper. He told him I was not easy to deal with. He ordered me to squat again and raise my arms, and beat me hard more than ten times with a rubber baton. I fell onto Chai Yuqiao, He Xuejian pulled me up, made me change directions, and continued to beat me. I could not bear the cruel beating any longer, and cried while kneeling on the floor. Chai Yuqiao said, "That is enough beating now." He then stopped the beating, and sent me back to the office. That night four of us ladies sat on the bed, while two gentlemen sat on the little stool overnight. The police locked the door using metal wire. They refused to open the door in the next morning to let us use the toilet.

On the morning of November 25, 2005, the policemen went to Xituan Village to arrest more Falun Gong practitioners, and returned after lunch. Officer He Xuejian took me to his dorm room. Policemen Wang Zengjun (male, his roommate) was lying on his bed, and 610 office member Wang Huiqi was standing in the room.

He Xuejian did not ask me anything, but forced me to squat like the day before. he beat me with a rubber baton several times, then clinched my throat, suffocating me. Then he pinched my breast. He lifted up my shirt and said, "The flesh is very tender." He electric baton shocked my nipples twice, and said, "This is fun, her nipples sparked." Then he pushed me onto his bed, and started to strip off my pants.

610 Office member Wang Huiqi was standing in the room the entire time, and did not stop He Xuejian, but left the room when he saw He Xuejian had started stripping off my pants. He even said with hatred, "Beat her!" None of them ever locked the door.

I was resisting, and pushed him away. He forced me onto the bed again, slapped my face, and said, "You don't move. He stripped my pants off and put two of his fingers into my vagina. I pushed him very hard. He then lifted my body up, and changed my position on the bed. Then he sat on my belly and grabbed my breasts. I turned my head, because I didn't want to see him. He then turned my head back. I struggled very hard, pushing him with both hands, and tried to get up. He said, "Don't move!" and took off his pants. I said, "For your own good, do not do such a bad deed! You are a policeman. Do not commit a crime that heaven will not forgive! You are a young man, I beg you to leave me, an old lady, alone." At that time he looked like a demon, refusing to listen to my plea. He took out his penis, forced me to look at it, and raped me.

His roommate was lying on the bed the entire time, and only turned several times, to look at what was happening and didn't utter a word or attempt to stop him.

I closed my eyes. He Xuejian shouted like an animal, "Old lady, open your eyes, look at me!" He also slapped me one more time. He got down from my body after he finished raping me. I was so shocked, I did not remember pulling my pants up. He shouted at me, "Let me pull my pants up," and said, "We just had a short one since it is daytime. We will have a long one tonight." I cried, thinking that this evil scoundrel would harm more fellow practitioners.

After I went back to the office, I cried so loud, "I cannot face anyone. I want to die here. I cannot go back to our village again." I then tried to hit my head against the table corner. Fellow practitioners held me back. I remembered at that moment that suicide is sinful and that I could not commit suicide. I told the other three lady practitioners very weakly, "You must be careful. This sinful crime might befall you." Before I finished my sentence, He Xuejian took Ms. Han Yuzhi out. I cried so hard in Ms. Qu Wenting's lap. She asked me what happened. I told her I was raped. Ms. Qu Wenting cried while padding her thighs, "How can they do heaven's forbidden crimes!" The other practitioners were all shaking. I pressed my hands together toward Mr. Wang Helin, "Please save Ms. Han Yuzhi now!" My mind was blank, I had been shivering all that time in shock.

After half an hour, we were all forced to do labor in the yard. I saw Ms. Han Yuzhi who was doing labor as well, with a very pale face. I asked her, "What did they do to you?" She said, "They raped me." We both cried while holding each other. He Xuejian saw us crying, and shouted, "What are you doing? Go back to work!"

That night, He Xuejian dragged me about trying to find a room, but after three rooms were all filled with people, he said with anger, "Now leave! Let me go back to the office."

On November 26, my father-in-law borrowed one thousand yuan, but they said it was not enough. He then borrowed another two thousand yuan, and bailed me out. My two daughters are both in college, and need a lot of money. The harvest was not good. This three thousand yuan is a heavy burden on our family.

Kind-hearted people, what did I do wrong? Why have I received such humiliation just because I am trying to be a better person, healing my sicknesses and keeping fit? How can I face the world from now on? I am an innocent person. Policeman dare to ignore my constitutional rights just because I practice Falun Gong. Why is it so hard to be a good person in China? They dared to do such violence to me, a good lady in her fifties. I hereby call on all people with conscience to pay attention to the evil crimes that happened to me. If the persecution of Falun Gong does not stop, these tragedies will continue. Right now, I am suffering after the shock of being raped, I feel blurry minded, and my lower body is in constant pain. If I did not know from Falun Gong that Teacher taught us that suicide is a sin, I probably would have already left this world. I lost the courage to live, and the confidence to face the world. I only hope the world's people will wake up. I wish this persecution will end soon, and wish these kinds of crimes will end soon!

The Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp located in the Beichen District of Tianjin City is a den of evil where Falun Gong practitioners are cruelly persecuted. Thousands of practitioners experience gruesome persecution there. The tortures include electric baton shock, stick beatings, slapping the face using a tire tread, sleep deprivation, denial of the use of the restroom, vituperation, being forced to keep a pose for a long time, brutal beatings, forced labor and brainwashing. They also threaten and cheat the family members of Falun Gong practitioners to participate in the persecution. Below is only a small portion of the persecution I witnessed in the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp.

Inmates publicly beat Mr. Chen Baoliang to death

Two years ago, when some criminals instigated by the guards were slandering and smearing Teacher and Falun Gong, Mr. Chen Baoliang, a practitioner from the Beichen District in Tianjin City, stood up and calmly said to them, "You can argue if you have enough reason, but do not call names at will." Just for saying this, the criminals publicly beat Mr. Chen to death. The guards later took his body to the hospital and got a medical certificate that said Mr. Chen had died of "a heart attack." The murderers were not held responsible for their actions. On the contrary, they were released three months ahead of schedule as a reward for "actively supporting government agents."

Mr. Chang Tianxiang brutally beaten

When the 610 Office was first established in Tianjin City, the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp also opened up a 100-day brainwashing session. The police guards screened four criminals as hatchet men, who were encouraged to use violence on Falun Gong practitioners.

One day these criminals dragged practitioner Mr. Chang Tianxiang into a restroom, took off his clothes, pushed him down on the ground, and beat him using a wooden block. As they were still beating him, they asked, "Are you still going to practice?" When he replied, "Yes," they continued the torture. As a result, Mr. Chang was beaten into a coma. They revived him with cold water and beat him again until they were exhausted. Then they dragged Mr. Chang, who was at his last gasp, back to his ward and left him lying on the ground. Mr. Chang is still illegally detained in the camp.

The guards responsible for this are Zhen, Yao Chunlai, He Jun, and others. The hatchet men are Chang Guanghua, Liu Kun, Yu Xiang and San'er (nickname).

At the end of 2003, guard Fu crowed about his previous experience in persecuting a practitioner. He said that he used to be responsible for brainwashing a practitioner.  When a Falun Gong practitioner questioned him to a point where he had exhausted his words to justify himself, he thurned so angry that he suddenly kicked the practitioner on the face. Two pieces of flesh peeled off the practitioner's face and stuck on the guard's shoe when he put down his foot. When the guard talked about this, his face was full of exultation and showed not a bit of guilt.

There are another two evil guards in the third division of the Shuangkou Forced Labor camp, Wu Mingxing and Han Jinxi.

Currently, there are dozens of practitioners illegally detained in the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp, including Ma Jian, Wu Jianzhong, Cheng Jilin, Liu Bowen, Zhu Qinghe, Chang Tianxiang, Huang Liqiao, Luo Yuanbei, Fang Keshan, Cao Chengyue and Xu Xiaolong, and others. Among them, Mr. Ma Jian was forced to get divorced, leaving his old parents in bad health at home unattended. However, Mr. Ma still firmly practices Falun Gong despite such severe persecution.

The Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin is a base for incarcerating male Falun Gong practitioners. Policemen's promotions and salary increases are connected to the rate of "transformation" of Falun Gong practitioners. Policemen would get 300 yuan cash as a reward for every "reformed" practitioner, and the criminals would get a three-day sentence reduction if they can "reform" a practitioner. The persecution is thus severe.

I am going to expose all I have witnessed when I was detained in the Shuangkou Forced Labor Camp. Since practitioners are often transferred between teams and we were not allowed to talk to each other, also, all the tortures happened secretly, what I can say here is not a complete description of the whole horror under the persecution in the labor camp.

Beaten with a pickax handle on the first day

This camp has five teams. The 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, and 5^th are production teams, which need to create revenue of 150 thousand yuan every year, besides their own income. So, the abuses and torments in those teams are severe. The 4^th team is in charge of meal preparation, so it doesn't have to hand over any money. It is also in charge of reforming and brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners.

The first night of being there I was beaten with a big pickax handle, which is a torture every newcomer is subjected to. 67-year-old Zhang Baozhu, who was a government official in Yuanninghe, the Hangu District, was beaten to the ground with the pickax handle. The guard yelled at him, "Now will you write a repentance letter?"

I experienced the following torture during the next 15 days:

I Witnessed the persecution of fellow practitioners

Yang Jiangshan (Tianjin): Yang Jiangshan has a old mother. The policemen tricked his mother to come to the labor camp by saying "we would release your son if he writes the regret letter." She believed him; she knelt down in front of her son, begging him to give in. Policemen then beat him with several electric batons and cursing him, "I am going to kill you! Such a bad son who doesn't listen to his mother."

Hu Peiyou (Ninghe district): When he was beaten with an electric baton, he told other practitioners, "please support and encourage me if I cannot endure it."

Zhang Tiezhu (Tanggu district): He has been incarcerated in a special cell for a long time. When I ran into him at a production site I could not recognize him for he was beaten so hard that his face was destroyed.

Meng Xiangjin (Hedong district): He had been severely tortured in the Qingbowa Forced Labor Camp.

Wang Ze'en (Dagang district): Policemen ordered his family to donate a banner to praise the labor camp, and his family did. He refused to cooperate with the evildoers, so his sentenced was extended.

Liu Ping: He was a pilot, and was tortured to death. When he was dying, policemen told his family to hold his hand and forced him to write a letter of regret.

Hu Dexin (Yangliuqing district): When his term was over the police didn't release him and extended his sentence instead.

Liang Song (Hebei district): He was caught reading Teacher's articles under a blanket during sleep time. He swallowed the paper to hide it. He was still sent to a special cell.

Cheng Xiwu (Nankai district): In a brainwashing class, when the evildoers were slandering Falun Gong, he said that he would sacrifice for Falun Gong without any hesitation. The police sent him to another team for additional abuse and savagery.

Li Xuehong (Tanggu district): Guards tried to force him to run in circles in a field. He said, "if you force me to go to the field, I will do Falun Gong exercise there."

Li Wenqi (Tanggu district): He was severely tortured and was not released until he was in a vegetative state.

Chang Hongshu (Dagang district): When the police claimed that they didn't arrest anybody during the 4.25 event in Tianjin he said, "I was one of those who was arrested at that time."

Sun Keyin (Ninghe district) said, "I am jailed, my mother is jailed, and my wife is jailed. Even our food and beddings were taken away."

Wang Jie (Hebei district) said, " My wife and I were humiliated by being pulled out into the street with big boards on our necks."

Liang Feng (From the northeast) was tortured by the police.

Zhang Jianghao (Wuqing district): When the police told his mother to force him to reform he said, "I am kind and loyal to my mother, but I will not give up Falun Gong."

Xie Guohui (Shandong province) said to the police, "If you debase me, I will start a hunger strike to protest."

Chen Baoliang (Beichen district): Police chief Zheng Junhong, and Meng Zhaosheng, Wang Kui and Li Hua ordered the criminals Wu Guoliang and Li Wenhong to beat Chen Baoliang with big sticks. They tied his hands to the back and taped his mouth with duct tape. Chen Baoliang was beaten down, and Wu Guoliang kicked his chest badly. Chen Baoliang died shortly after he was sent to a hospital.

Dong Deshan (Tanggu district): When having a conference to slander Falun Gong, the police pushed him to the ground, tied him up and taped his mouth with duct tape.

Xiao Shuqing (Tianjin): One time, some reporters went to the labor camp to conduct some interviews. Xiao Shuqing rushed out and tried to tell the reporters the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong. Policemen slapped him and forced him away. He was imprisoned in a special cell for additional mistreatment under the persecution.

Li Changkun (Tanggu district): He was arrested from home and sent into brainwashing, where he refused to "reform". He was sentenced to a one-year stay in a labor camp. Guards often hung him up and beat him. His sentence was extended by one year.

Xu Wanfa (Former policeman): During a certain period he was forced to stand in the sun every day. His face and body were burned, and his skin peeled.

Liu Yuezhou (Tianjin): He submitted a statement to the team to void his guarantee statement. The policemen said, "Can you not do it in public." He answered, "I must void it in public." "Then you will be jailed in the special team." So he was sent to a special team (which is correct?) for additional abuse and torment.

Song Hongtao (from the northeast area): He became mute after being badly beaten. He suffered a mental collapse and was scared of people. He was released after his term was over.

Li Guangyuan: Police broke three of his ribs.

Fu Baocheng (Yangliuqing district): Several of his ribs were broken. He had to sleep sitting up for several months.

Li Wenbin (Tanggu district): Because of the persecution he lost his eye sight and partial hearing. He cannot walk or take care of himself.

Wang Junjiang (Jinghai district): He cannot see things clearly as a result of abuse and mistreatment.

Liu Peng (Hebei district): He cannot walk as a result of abuse and mistreatment. People had to carry him in a blanket when he was transferred to another team.

Jiang Weiping: He suffered a mental collapse. People had to take turns to watch him at night. When he was released nobody came to pick him up, so he was taken back to the labor camp.

Li Shitou: His sentence had been extended again and again many times.

 This article is about several Falun Gong practitioners who lived in Linjiang City, Jilin Province who are persecuted.

Mr. Liu Baohua is a practitioner from Linjiang City, Jilin Province. He was abducted in 2001 and was sent to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp where he was savagely tortured and then released. On June 6, 2005, something outrageous happened. The perpetrators of this despicable act were from the Linjiang City 610 Office, Jin Zhengyi from the Political and Judiciary Committee, Di Lidong from Linjiang City Political and Security Section and more than ten people from Xinglong Police Department including Li Yan. They went to Liu Baohua's place of employment and hogtied him with ropes and carried him into a car. Then they sent him to brainwashing in Baishan.

Mr. Wang Yulian is a practitioner from Linjiang City, Jilin Province. She had severe heart disease before she started practicing Falun Gong but recovered full health after she studied Falun Gong and did the Falun Gong exercises. One day in 2002, Wang Yulian was abducted by a group of perpetrators from the Xinshi City Police Department and was sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City where she was held for two years. In July 2004, Wang Yulian was again abducted by perpetrators from the same police department and was held in a labor camp for three years. Di Lidong, head of the Political and Security Section, is the main person responsible for the persecution.

Practitioners Xu Dongcheng and his wife Wang Sue were cruelly persecuted because they persisted in Falun Gong practice. In the evening of July 20, 2001, the police smashed the windows on the balcony, broke in and abducted Wang Sue from her home. They held her in a labor camp for two years. Xu Dongcheng then left home to avoid further abduction. In 2002, the police found Xu Dongcheng's residence. They ransacked his home, took his computer, TV and VCDs. The perpetrators hung him on a heating pipe and savagely beat him. Then they sent him to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp where he has been held until now.

Ms. Wang Yanyu, 48 years old, is a practitioner from Linjiang City, Jilin Province and worked at the Linjiang Forestry Bureau. Because she persisted in Falun Gong practice the local police, led by Yu Peiyou, abducted and persecuted Wang Yanyu many times since 2002. In 2004, Wang Yanyu was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor and was sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp.

Ms. Xu Liji is a practitioner from Linjiang City, Jilin Province. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1997. The police constantly harassed her after 1999. In 2001 she was abducted and detained for nearly six months. She opted to live in exile to avoid being abducted. In May 2005, with orders from the "610 Office" and the police department, local police officer Li Zhaoxin and other perpetrators from the local community abducted Xu Liji from work and sent her to the Baishan Brainwashing Class.

Ms. Feng Shumei is a practitioner from Linjiang City, Jilin Province. She had dizzy spells, neurasthenia gravis, chronic pharyngitis, and sciatica, among other illnesses. After she started practicing Falun Gong in 1999 all the illnesses was cured and she became very energetic. She took care of her mother-in-law. One day in 2001, Feng Shumei was clarifying the truth when perpetrators from Linjiang Forestry Bureau Police Station abducted her. She was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. Feng Shumei was shocked with electric batons, brutally beaten and subjected to brainwashing at the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp. The guards deprived her of sleep and forced her to do slave labor. She was detained 20 days past her term. During her detention, the officials deprived her son of a job opportunity because of his mother's Falun Gong practice. In May 2005 the perpetrators again harassed Feng Shumei at her home, but her family protected her. Shao Gang and Liu Guangxiu from the Jianguo Street Party Committee and a group of perpetrators from the Jianguo Police Department inquired about her whereabouts. They constantly harassed her family members at the homes of her mother and of her daughter. Her 80-year-old mother-in-law is left home uncared for.

Ms. Cao Shuxia tortured into unconsciousness

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Cao Shuxia, who resided at the Ranghulu Science Park in Daqing City, was forced to sit on an iron chair, had to endure force-feeding and sleep deprivation, had her eyes attacked with a broom in the restroom, and was verbally abused. She was interrogated continuously for 24-48 hours, making her lose consciousness. Following is her story:

Ms. Cao Shuxia is 39 years old. On September 23, 2005, in the afternoon, several officers from the Ranghulu District Police Department entrapped Mr. Cao's child and got her house key. They broke through the door, arrested Ms. Cao, and ransacked her home. They took away the Falun Gong materials, the child's computer, her husband's camcorder, CDs and almost 1,000 yuan in cash. That night the police held Ms. Cao at the Daqing Detention Center. They took her directly to the interrogation room and forced her to sit on an iron chair. Not until the following afternoon was she released and put into cell No. 408.

Since then, the authorities have interrogated her almost every other day. Each interrogation has lasted almost 24 hours. Once they sent her back in the middle of the night and interrogated her from seven o'clock in the morning to the following day. This interrogation lasted two days and nights. They didn't provide her with a sanitary pad and deprived her of sleep. Whenever she closed her eyes, they would use a broom in the restroom to hurt her eyes. They used incessant mental torment and foul language to persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

Ms. Cao Shuxia kept on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She refused to wear a detention center uniform. She kept shouting, "Falun Dafa is good" until her throat was hoarse. The constant irritation from the broom made her eyes swell. After several endless interrogations, Ms. Cao was so exhausted from the mental torment that she lost consciousness.

Ms. Gao Guifen, in her 60s, was released after a ten-day hunger strike

Practitioner Ms. Gao Guifen, 63, worked at the Daqing Petroleum Institute. When she was arrested on September 23, she kept shouting, "Falun Dafa is good! She was detained at the Development District Police Department and unconstitutionally interrogated. She began to clarify the truth to all the police officers in the department. Confronting this illegal interrogation she said, "I will not answer any of your questions!" The police filled in the blanks on the form and then asked, "Do you refuse to sign it?" She replied, "I refuse." That night Ms. Gao Guifen was sent to the Daqing Detention Center and placed in cell No. 408.

Ms. Gao kept on reciting the Fa, sending forth righteous thought, clarifying the truth, and refusing to wear a uniform. During three continuous interrogations, Ms. Gao was handcuffed to a metal chair. Facing her interrogators, she didn't corporate at all. When the evildoer Liu Bo scolded Falun Gong's founder, Ms. Gao assertively deterred him, "Don't libel my Teacher! Slander is a crime."

Ms. Gao Guifen persisted with her hunger strike to protest the persecution since her illegal detention began. She was carried twice daily to undergo brutal force-feeding. She shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" four times on the way every day.

On October 9, Ms. Gao's retired professor husband, in his 70s, could not withstand the heavy blow of the family break-up (one daughter had become homeless) and developed an acute illness. He was sent to a hospital for emergency care. Their daughter and son-in-law, who had to take care of their child and two senior adults, took the hospital's diagnosis of their father's emergency situation to the authorities and asked them to release Ms. Gao. She was released on October 10.

Zhang Lixin regained her freedom after the evildoers extorted 5,000 yuan from her children

At around 6:00 a.m. on September 23, Commissar Sun Guangfan and the deputy chief of the Donghu Police Department headed a team of police officers. They intruded into the home of practitioners Mr. Bai Yufu and and his wife Ms. Zhang Lixin, smashing the lock. The officials grabbed a computer, printer, books, one gold pen, and other personal belongings. They failed to take away gold jewelry because Ms. Zhang came home. They refused to let Ms. Zhang use the toilet and prevented their daughter from attending school. Then they arrested Mr. Bai Yufu, Ms. Zhang Lixin and also a visitor named Zhang Xiumin. Ms. Zhang Lixin and her husband Mr. Bai shouted to bystanders, "You are our witnesses! They are all bandits! Practicing Falun Gong is not wrong! These officers arrest kind people!" "Falun Dafa is good!"

These lawless persons also want to take away Ms. Zhang's 14-year-old daughter. Sun Guangfan intimidated the child, "Don't think your Dad and Mom will come back!" The threatened child locked  herself in a room without drinking water for the whole day. Another daughter who had been pursuing her Ph.D. degree outside the province heard the news and quickly returned. The older sister had to forego her studies and the younger sister was left without anyone to take care of her. Confronted with all kinds of pressure, the two sisters went to the police department to ask for the release of their parents.

After the couple was arrested and taken to the Donghu Police Department, the authorities attempted to force Ms. Zhang Lixin to give her fingerprints. She didn't cooperate. A police officer hit her chest heavily with his fist, making a large area black and blue, swollen and painful. That afternoon she was sent to cell No. 406 at the Daqing Detention Center. She refused to wear the uniform and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" She was forced to sit on a metal chair for interrogation.

These scofflaw individuals also extorted 5,000 yuan from Ms. Zhang's two daughters, who had come to the authorities to ask for help. Ms. Zhang Lixin was not released until September 30.

Circumstances concerning practitioners Mr. Jia Junxian, Li Junmi, Mr. Yuan Mi and Ms. Chen Qingli

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jia Junxian went on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention beginning on the very first day of his arrest. He was force-fed twice a day.

Practitioner Li Junmi refused to answer any inquiries during the interrogation.

The authorities used torture to extort a confession from practitioner Mr. Yuan Mi. Mr. Yuan was forced to sit on an iron chair for five days and nights. His head was encased in a plastic bag, he was force-fed, and he had to endure other abuses. Right now he is incarcerated in cell No. 450 at the Daqing Detention Center. Mr. Yuan has been on a protest hunger strike ever since his arrest.

Practitioner Ms. Chen Qingli has been on a protest hunger strike ever since her arrest. She was force-fed twice a day and her former illnesses recurred. After two emergency treatments she was transferred to a "loose" cell for continued persecution.

Practitioners Cheng Jinzhi, a resident of the Ranghulu District; Zhang Xiumin from Donghu; Lan Sufang from Sanchang; Liu Li, who was employed at the Longfeng plant; and others are still incarcerated in the Daqing Detention Center.

According to reliable information, since October 2, Yang from the Heilongjiang Province Police Department and a woman have been personally in charge of interrogating those practitioners who were arrested on September 23 at the Daqing Detention Center and at the Longfeng Detention Center.

On September 23, 2005, the Daqing City 610 Office dispatched a large group of police officers to abduct Falun Gong practitioners within the city. It is learned that among the 27 practitioners abducted, at least five practitioners have been sent to labor camps, 12 practitioners broke free, and the situation of the other practitioners is unknown.

Most abducted practitioners were brutally tortured. Practitioner Zhang Xiumin was sentenced to 18 months of forced labor; practitioner Yuan Mi was sentenced to three years of forced labor; practitioner Li Junmi was sentenced to one year of forced labor; practitioner Li Yequan was sentenced to two years of forced labor and Ge Zhenming had to be carried into the labor camp.

At least 12 practitioners broke free. They are Zhang Lixin, Xie Chengqiu, Li Qingzuo, Gao Guifen, Cao Shuxia, Guan Yinfeng, Chen Qingli, Yu Chen, Liu Li, Li Xiangqin, Tang Zengye and Chen Changxiu.

Around 5:30 a.m. on September 23, 2005, the Daqing City 610 Office mobilized police forces from 11 out of the 20 departments in the city. The department heads or deputy heads led the officers from each police department as they surrounded practitioners' homes, smashed the doors and broke into the practitioners' homes. They ransacked the homes of those 27 practitioners they later abducted.

Most abducted practitioners are savagely tortured. Practitioner Tang Zengye is tortured in a metal chair. His hands and feet are fixed in metal rings so he cannot move. Practitioner Cao Shuxia was tied in a metal chair and was not allowed to sleep for 24 hours, and the police officers poked her eyes with a broomstick. Practitioner Yuan Mi was interrogated for five days and five nights as the police demanded to know the source of Falun Gong truth clarification materials. He was tied in a metal chair and was not allowed to eat or sleep; a black plastic bag was wrapped around his head and the police officers also tried to asphyxiate him with cigarette smoke. Practitioner Ge Zhenming was carried into the labor camp. Practitioner Li Yequan had a physical examination on September 27 and was determined to be too weak; the labor camp refused to accept him. Daqing City Political and Judiciary Committee, the "610 Office", the police department, the labor camp and the Judicial Bureau held an overnight meeting and decided to sentence Li Yequan to two years of forced labor. Li Yequan held a hunger strike to resist the persecution, and the perpetrators brutally force-fed him three times a day.

Zhang Qin Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor

Mr. Zhang Qin is a 50-year-old practitioner in Shanghai. Because he put a Falun Gong flyer in the basket of a parked bicycle, he was arrested on October 8, 2005. After searching his home, the police found 15 copies of Falun Gong truth-clarification material. On November 2, 2005, he was sentenced to one year of forced labor.
