On December 3, 2004, despite the cold weather of more than 20 degrees below zero, Falun Gong practitioners in Ottawa gathered in front of the Chinese Embassy to condemn the Chinese communist regime's more than six years of systematic persecution, torture and sexual abuse. They appeal to the world to bring He Xuejian, police officer from Dongchenfang Police Station, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province and the chief perpetrators of the persecution, including Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang, to justice.

Rapes occur again in the province where the persecution is most severe.

According to report from Clearwisdom.net, on the afternoon of November 25, 2005, when police illegally interrogated Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Liu Jizhi, 51 and Ms. Han Yuzhi, 42 at the Dongchengfang Police Station, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province, officer He Xuejian impudently raped them. This brought great harm to both the victims and their families. In response, the Falun Gong Human Rights Working Group submitted an appeal letter to United Nations' human rights organizations and provided details of the rape case to Manfred Nowak, UN Special Rapporteur on torture.

According to investigations by the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), since July 20, 1999, Zhuozhou City (a county-level city) in Hebei Province has launched brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners. Means it has adopted to persecute practitioners included illegally ransacking practitioners' homes, illegal fines, beating and physical torture, shocking women's breasts with electric batons and raping them. In addition, according to information provided by the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, in Baoding City, which Zhuozhou city is affiliated with, 67 Falun Gong practitioners are known to have died from the persecution.

The death toll is the highest in Hebei Province. In Hebei Province, 379 Falun Gong practitioners were confirmed to have died from the persecution, rated number one across China.

President of Canadian Falun Dafa Association Li Xun told this reporter, "This malignant rape case is definitely not an isolated case. It is the Chinese Communist regime's systematic persecution of Falun Gong that allowed it to occur. This persecution has been systematically carried out under the regime's rule. However, neither human world's law nor heaven's law would tolerate it. The evildoers will definitely be punished."

Torture and insults will not break the will of Falun Gong practitioners

Falun Gong practitioner Grace Wollensak said in an interview, "When torture and other means could not move practitioners, the evil Chinese communist faction adopted an even more indecent means - insult and sexual abuse. As a police officer, indulged and protected by the Chinese communist regime, He Xuejian used such indecent way to attempt to force Falun Gong practitioners to succumb. This sufficiently indicates the Chinese Communist Party's insanity when confronting failure. In fact, torture and insult can not move genuine practitioners' determination in their belief. Being shocked to learn that two female Falun Gong practitioners were raped by a Chinese communist police officer after suffering terrible torture, Falun Gong practitioners in Vancouver held a news conference at noon on December 3, 2005 in front of the Chinese Consulate to condemn the CCP regime's indecent crimes and appeal for those responsible to be brought to justice.

Background

On the evening of November 24, driven by the Chinese communist regime's oppression policy, police officers from Dongchengfang Police Station, Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province arrested Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Liu Jizhi, 51 years old and Ms. Han Yuzhi, 42 years old from their homes at the Xitong Village, Dongchengfang Town.

Around 2 p.m., November 25, during the illegal detention and interrogation of Ms. Liu Jizhi at the Dongchengfang Police Station, police officer He Xuejian savagely beat Ms. Liu. Afterwards, he sexually harassed Ms. Liu and shocked Ms. Liu on her breast with an electric baton. Seeing the electric baton's sparks, He Xuejian kept saying, "It's funny! So funny!..." In the end, no matter how Liu Jizhi protested, struggled, and pleaded with a kind will, He Xuejian raped her.

Ms. Han Yuzhi who was arrested with Ms. Liu at the same time was unable to escape from the misfortune. She was also raped by the vile police officer He Xuejian. After being raped, Ms. Liu and Ms. Han were forced to do some hard labor. Two other police officers were on the site when the rapes occurred, but they did not do anything to stop it.

Over the past more than six years of persecution of Falun Gong, with the Chinese communist regime's connivance and protection, many unlawfully detained female Falun Gong practitioners have been sexually harassed and raped.

On May 13, 2003, a Chongqing police officer publicly raped Miss Wei Xingyan, a Falun Gong practitioner and a graduate student from Chongqing University. In October 2000, 18 female Falun Gong practitioners who were imprisoned in Masanjia Labor Camp were stripped off naked and thrown into male criminals' cells.

On May 14, 2001, a Beijing police officer beat and raped a female Falun Gong practitioner.

In 2001, police officers from Xingtai, Hebei Province gang raped several female practitioners.

In Dalian Labor Camp, Liaoning Province, police guards stripped off female practitioners' clothes and cuff their hands and feet spread eagle, in the shape of the Chinese character "大". Then they stuffed pepper into the practitioners' genitals, inserted mop handles or brushes into their genitals. As a consequence, the victims bled profusely and were in extreme pain. They also suffered long lasting back pain.

During the news conference, Falun Gong practitioners in Vancouver called for those responsible to be brought to justice and they called upon international society to continue to pay attention to Falun Gong practitioners' human rights and help stop the persecution.

In the meanwhile, practitioners also warned the Chinese Communist Party and police that evildoers will be punished by heaven's laws. Those who persecute Falun Gong will definitely be held accountable.

On November 11-13, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Switzerland participated for the fourth time in the annual Health Expo held in Fribourg. Ever since 2002, when Falun Gong practitioners were first invited to attend the Expo, Falun Gong has been very popular each year. This year was no exception.

Spread the Truth of Falun Gong and the Persecution

Falun Gong's stand was visible from the Expo's entrance. Falun Gong books in various languages were laid out on the table along with truth-clarifying materials about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. The TV played an exercise demonstration video. A practitioner skilled at calligraphy produced scrolls with "The World Needs Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," "Life Needs Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," free of charge for those who were interested.

People came in an endless stream to ask what Falun Gong is, the meaning of the three Chinese characters "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," and why practitioners are persecuted. Practitioners patiently addressed one question after another: Falun Gong is a Chinese traditional practice, a kind of Qigong. As well as practicing the five sets of exercises, practitioners follow principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" in their daily lives to become better persons and improve the mind and body. There are one hundred million practitioners spread across China and some seventy countries of the world. The CCP and its former leader Jiang, however, could not stand to allow people become better persons. They could not tolerate that people have their own standards for telling right from the wrong, nor could they let go of ideological control. Therefore, they started the bloody persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.

After learning the truth, many people waited to have the calligrapher write the scrolls "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" to take home.

"We Also Want to Learn Falun Gong"

A man commented, "I heard that Falun Gong is very good, full of profound wisdom." Another person mused, "I am most moved by Falun Gong's cultivation of mind nature. I am very interested." A woman in her sixties wanted to learn the exercises on the spot and asked for details of local practice site. According to a middle-aged woman from Lausanne, she had heard about Falun Gong but wasn't exactly sure what it was about. She finally understood today after a practitioners' introduction. She wrote down the details of the practice site in Lausanne and promised to learn as soon as she got back.

Among the Expo participants, there were a number of people who practiced other methods. Not understanding Falun Gong initially, they gossiped about Falun Gong and practitioners. Overhearing this, practitioners kindly introduced Falun Gong to them. After learning that Falun Gong practice focuses on mind nature and is easy to learn with no restriction on location or time or much else, they admitted that they had misunderstood. Since the exercises were taught free of charge, they hoped to learn it right away. They all commented after the learning session that the exercises were very powerful with strong energy flow. The next day, one of them told a practitioner happily that he felt so energetic after the exercises that he didn't sleep last night. He did not feel tired at all. Later, during the exercise demonstrations that day, two of them learned the five exercises again.

Exercise Demonstration Attracts the Public

The Expo organizers gave practitioners peak time in the afternoon each day to demonstrate the five exercises. Crowds gathered around whenever the broadcast announced the upcoming Falun Gong exercise demonstrations. Peaceful music and practitioners' beautiful movements proved to be very popular. For a better understanding, a practitioner explained the principles behind each movement through a microphone. Some followed the movements on the spot. The audience commented after the demonstration that they felt very strong, comforting energy when the practitioners exercised. A disabled person in a wheelchair did not want to leave the site for a long time. When his relative tried to take him away, he insisted, "No, I feel very good here."

Many came to the stand for materials, CDs, and addresses of practice sites, saying they wanted to learn the exercises. Some asked with interest what one should think about while practicing. Practitioners answered that they should just to be tranquil, and not think about anything. Two people who had learned the exercises commented happily that they felt very relaxed and satisfied, and that the exercises were very easy to learn.

Practitioners also held a seminar about Falun Gong, where an introduction video showed how Falun Gong became popular worldwide since its start in 1992. Many people benefited mentally and physically. Since July 1999 Falun Gong practitioners have been brutally persecuted by the CCP. At least 2,700 people have been persecuted to death. Finally there was a teaching session of the five exercises, in which many people showed a great deal of interest.
