(Clearwisdom.net) Since the 17th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2007, CCP secretary Zhou Qi and Mayor Liu Xinchi of Xiantao City, Hubei Province, have been actively arresting Falun Dafa practitioners. Under their command, the police arrested fifteen practitioners. Eight of the practitioners were sentenced to three to four years. Many of the practitioners are in critical condition as a result of torture.
Ms. Chen Muying, in her 50s, is an agent of the Xiantao City Internal Revenue Bureau. She was taken to the Wuhan City Brainwashing Center on September 25, 2007, then imprisoned at the Xiantao City Detention Center for a year. She was sentenced to four years in prison at the end of 2008. She is now imprisoned at the Hubei Province Women's Prison.
Mr. Mao Guiping, born on March 3, 1969, is a chef in the Xiantao City Experimental Kindergarten. He was arrested on September 25, 2007, and detained at the Xiantao City No.1 Detention Center for a year. On December 17, 2008, he was sentenced to two years in prison. He is imprisoned at the Hubei Province Fanjiatai Prison. While detained at the Xiantao City No.1 Detention Center, he suffered from numbness all over and tremors in his hands many times. After his arrest, his father died from profound sadness and his son had to drop out of school to support himself.
Mr. Fu Lingjun, born on March 14, 1978, is a Chinese teacher at the Xiantao City No.8 Middle School. He was arrested and taken to the Hubei Province Tangxun Lake Brainwashing Center on September 25, 2007. He was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on December 17, 2008. He is imprisoned at the Xiantao City No.1 Detention Center. At the time of his arrest, his wife was eight months pregnant and his father's health was in serious condition. The family lost their income and savings because his salary was frozen.
Mr. Li Jinyang, a resident of Xiantao City, Xiliuhe Town, is a taxi driver. He was taken to the Magang Brainwashing Center on September 25, 2007. Around the time of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Xiantao City Domestic Security Section and the Xiliuhe Police Station arrested him and seized his taxi. He was sentenced to three years in prison. He is imprisoned at the Fanjiatai Prison.
Mr. Liu Jun was arrested on September 25, 2007. He has been detained at the Xiantao City No.1 Detention Center.
Mr. Hu Feixiong, born in 1973, is a resident of Xiantao City, Dutai Village. He has been arrested many times. On September 25, 2007, he was taken to the Hubei Province Tangxun Lake Brainwashing Center. He is currently imprisoned at the Xiantao City No.1 Detention Center.
Mr. Xiao Hongbin, born in 1968, is an employee of the Xiantao City Blanket Factory. He was arrested in March 2008 and sentenced to two years of forced labor. He is imprisoned at the Hubei Province Shayang Forced Labor Camp.
Mr. Zhou, in his 50s, is an employee of the Xiantao City Machine Factory. He was arrested on September 25, 2007, and sentenced to two years of forced labor. He is imprisoned at the Hebei Province Beishayang Forced Labor Camp.
