(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Wu Song, 43, was a Falun Dafa practitioner living in Rongjiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. He was the Wushe Village Chief in Pingjiang Township, Rongjiang County. He was arrested in 2005 for practicing Falun Dafa. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor, which he served in Zhongba Forced Labor Camp. He was tortured in the camp, causing him to suffer from stomachaches and intestinal bleeding. He was near death. The camp administration allowed his family to pick him up at the beginning of June 2007 in order to escape being held responsible for his death. Mr. Wu Song died on October 23, 2007. His father, in his 70s; his wife; and his son are without resources.
The guards in Zhongba Forced Labor Camp inhumanly torture practitioners to try to force them accept brainwashing. Their methods of torture include forcing practitioners to stand for a long time without clothes on in the winter, forcing them to run in the summer with thick jackets on, making them stand for a long time and not letting them sleep, pouring cold water on them in the winter, pouring boiling hot water on their faces, beating them brutally, and forcing them to sniff heroin. Guards Li Jiming, Ming Hong, and Yang Renshou (all male) openly shouted, "It doesn't matter if some practitioners die: we are allowed to have several deaths here." The guards personally torture prisoners and encourage criminal inmates to torture practitioners mentally and physically, promising to reduce the abusers' terms.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Fei Zhangjin, a Falun Dafa practitioner in his 40's, was sentenced to three years in jail for his belief. He was sent to Suzhou Prison in Anhui Province in September 2005. The prison sent him to a brainwashing center and forced him to go through brainwashing sessions. The police ordered Wu Li (a resident of Feixi, Anhui, and a collaborator) and several others to beat Mr. Fei using wooden sticks. For over 20 days, the sounds of wood hitting flesh could be heard from very far away. In October 2005, officer Tang Chuanyou and others used high voltage batons to hit Mr. Fei for several days.
Later, the police transferred Mr. Fei to the No.1 Prison Unit (previously the 8th Division) and continued to torture him. Guards ordered criminal inmates Chen Guoxin, Wang Jiulin, etc. to torture Mr. Fei using various methods, such as force-feeding hot food down his throat and stabbing his lips with needles.
Because Mr. Fei Zhangjin would not give up his belief, he was cruelly tortured by the guards time and time again, until he became very weak. He was taken to the inmate clinic on September 23, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. He died at 11:30 a.m.
An eyewitness saw Mr. Fei's body placed in an ambulance. The body had turned blue. There were several accounts of the cause of death. One said that he died after receiving intravenous fluids given by the clinic; another said that the guards ordered inmates Wang Tong, Han Mingqing, and Ding to force-feed Mr. Fei, causing his death. The policemen maintained that Mr. Fei died of a heart attack.
The counselor of the No.1 Prison Unit is Lei Bo and the head of the prison is Wang Huaiqiang. Wang Tong was a convicted murderer from Wuhu, Anhui Province, serving a long sentence. Han Mingqing used to be the head of Bongyang Police Squad but was sentenced to 11 years due to corruption and the mishandling of over 13 million yuan. Ding, who used to be a doctor in the Bongyang District Health Department, was convicted of corruption. Currently, these three people are in charge of force-feeding practitioners in Suzhou Prison. Of the three, Wang Tong is the worst.
Practitioners who do not give up their belief are cruelly tortured. Mr. Ji Guangjie and Sun Fangxi are now on the brink of death due to torture. Mr. Ji Guangjie, a resident of Hefei City, is now detained in the No.1 Prison Unit. His high blood pressure is 270/210. Mr. Ji was illegally detained on July 19, 2003, and sentenced to a seven-year prison term. He was transferred to Suzhou Prison from Baihu Prison in Anhui Province in November 2004. Mr. Sun Fangxi was transferred to Suzhou Prison from Baihu Prison in March 2007 and has since been held in an intensive control unit. He is on a hunger strike and his life is in grave danger. The guards took out his front teeth to force-feed him. Mr. Sun was an engineer for the Anhui Broadcasting, Film and Television Bureau. He was near death in January 2001 in Nanhu Forced Labor Camp, where he was cruelly tortured.
The following are several other cases: Practitioner Sheng Xuean was falsely detained at the No. 4 Prison Unit. He was hung by his handcuffs out a window for three to four months. His entire body is now bloated. Practitioner Wang Manyi was also detained at the No.4 Prison Unit. Because he was reciting Zhuan Falun, the policemen thrust an electric baton into his mouth and electrified him. The inside of his mouth was badly burned and he was not able to eat solid food for over a month. He could only drink liquefied food. Practitioner Wang Yu was detained in the No.6 Unit. Since he refused to give up his belief, he has been locked up in the Intensive Control Unit for months. Practitioner Fang Yingzhou was detained in the No.1 Prison Unit. He was in the Intensive Control Unit for over five months. He went on a hunger strike and was force-fed by inmate Zhang Jun (who had no medical knowledge at all). His teeth were knocked out, and his lips and tongue stabbed through with needles. The inmate also stabbed all of his fingers with needles. One of the needles broke and stayed in his finger. The inmate cut open the flesh (without any anesthetics) in order to take out the broken needle. Practitioner Wang Hongrong from the Hefei Forklift Factory was tortured by guards and paralyzed in his lower limbs. He was released in April 2007 when he was almost dead. He died within two months. In all these cases, when the criminal inmates tortured the practitioners, they were all under instructions from the guards and with guards present.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Huang Fujun was a Falun Dafa practitioner living in Acheng District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province. On July 24, 2007, Mr. Huang Fujun and another practitioner, Mr. Huang Tiebo, were both arrested by police officers, including officer Wang Ying (gender unknown), when passing out truth clarifying materials in the Hebeitun Area of Madian Village, Songfengshan Town, Acheng District. Police detained him for nearly four months in the Acheng District First Detention Center. Mr. Huang went on a hunger strike to protest the long, illegal detention and was tortured with force-feeding. He lost consciousness and had difficulty breathing. A large area of his skin had festered. He had multiple injuries on his body. His hands and feet were severely swollen and showed deep scars caused by shackles and cuffs. He was merely skin and bones.
On October 31, 2007, guards in the detention center rushed him to Acheng Traditional Medicine Hospital for resuscitation. He was unconscious, but the guards still handcuffed and shackled him onto the hospital bed. His friends and family saw that the force-feeding tube was still in him. His fellow practitioners and friends and family tried to rescue him and requested to have him released, but the Police Department, Procuratorate, and Justice Bureau of Acheng City delayed, claiming that they needed to have a meeting to discuss his case. Finally, when they saw he was dying on November 3, 2007, they agreed to release him on medical parole. He was in a coma the whole time, and he could not talk or recognize his friends or family. He did instinctively ingest some liquid food, but he never regained full consciousness. He died at home at 8 p.m. on November 6, 2007, only three days after returning home.

(Clearwisdom.net) Guards at the Hunan Province Women's Prison have been subjecting Falun Gong practitioners to barbaric treatment. Practitioners have been forced to perform hard labor. Those who adhere to their belief have been subjected to cruel torture. Some cases are presented below.
Chen Xiaoling, a disabled practitioner from Ningyuan County, Yongzhou City, who cannot take care of herself, is forced to stand every night for refusing to give in to the brainwashing and "reform." The ongoing abuse has weakened her. When she fainted from standing, she was beaten and roused and forced to continue standing. The blood-filled blisters on her feet have putrefied. Covered with blood, she was forbidden to wash. She has been tortured beyond recognition, but is still being persecuted. (See also: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2006/2/11/69847.html )
Liu Tuxiu is a practitioner from Xintian County, Yongzhou City. The guards searched her and found some of Master's articles. They instructed Liu Qin and other inmates to slander Falun Gong and Master during so-called "education" and "study sessions" and held frequent "criticizing and denunciation" meetings to jeer and sneer at Ms. Liu. Ms. Liu has suffered from low blood supply and breathing difficulties due to inadequate blood circulation. She is now home due to ill health.
Yin Hong, a young practitioner from Changde City, lost her hearing in the detention center and labor camp and has neuropathy. She has palsy in both hands and cannot even hold a book steady. The guards still use violence to try to "reform" her. She has been forced to peel broad beans or piece together bamboo strips to make bed-mats from 6:30 a.m. to midnight. If the assigned task is not completed, guard Li Lin yells at her, "This is a forced labor facility, not a sanatorium." Ms. Yin is still being subjected to inhumane treatment.
Zhang Lingge, a practitioner from Changsha City, recognized that letting herself be "reformed" was a mistake and publicly declared that she was resuming cultivation. She was taken to the so-called "Attacking the Fortified Class," where abusers subjected her to mental torment and physical torture, including "Single Foot Stool," forced standing, electric baton shocks, and being handcuffed behind her back. She sometimes falls into a stupor and is unable to lift her hands or perform physical work. However, the guards still force her to work harder than a healthy person.
Song Dezi, a practitioner from Changde City, and Xie Shuihua from Guiyang City have suffered from severe mental impairment due to the persecution.
There are many more similar cases.
Inmate Liu Qin can teach the guards how to slander Falun Gong, so they urge her to commit criminal acts. Other inmates are made to wash Liu's clothes, pants, shoes, and socks. Whoever disobeys her is tortured with "nailed boards" right in front of the guards. As long as someone expends intense effort to persecute practitioners, that individual is put in an important position and receives rewards and a reduction in her prison term. This is what the Party calls a "Civilized Prison" and "Humane Management."
(Clearwisdom.net) Four months after being released from a forced labor camp where she was persecuted for three and a half years, Ms. Wu Shunzhen, a practitioner from Nanjing, was again arrested by 610 Office agents on July 12, 2006, and has been detained in the Nanjing Detention Center ever since. In August 2007, she was illegally sentenced to two years in prison by the Nanjing City Court of the Baixia District. At present, she is trying to appeal to the Nanjing City Intermediate Court.
Ms. Wu has been repeatedly persecuted by the CCP over the past eight years for her belief in Falun Dafa, which is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. She was detained against her will in the Nanjing Brain Hospital, Qinglongshan Mental Hospital, Nanjing City Detention Center, and Jurong Women's Labor Camp in Jiangsu Province.
For appealing on behalf of Falun Dafa in Beijing, she was kept in the detention center for more than 60 days. After she was released, she was taken directly to a mental hospital. Her work unit had to discontinue her work contract. In September 2001, she was again arrested when she was trying to clarify the facts of the persecution of Falun Dafa to people and distributing truth clarifying materials. Because she didn't disclose the source of her materials and refused to denounce Dafa, she was taken to Qinglongshan Mental Hospital, where she was subjected to intense brainwashing tactics.
In 2002, Ms. Wu was sentenced to three years of forced labor and taken to Jiangsu Women's Labor Camp. Her term was extended by six months. In April 2006, she was released from the labor camp. Just four months after being released, she was again arrested by the police from Nanjing City's 610 Office and the Shuangtang Police Station on July 12 and taken to the Nanjing Detention Center.

Since that day, Falun Gong practitioners have encountered the reality of being illegally arrested, put into forced labor camps, sentenced to jail, and tortured. Besides physical suffering, the Chinese Communist Party is widely using another form of persecution: Economic persecution. This has brought disaster to practitioners and their families.
Mengyin County, Shandong Province, is nationally infamous for the amount of poverty within its borders. The 610 Office, local police station, and other government bureaus have seized massive amounts of wealth in the name of persecuting Falun Gong. This is how they usually operate: Arrest the practitioners and ransack their homes. Grab everything of value, including personal property and belongings, even the chickens, rabbits, dogs, and bags of grain. Put the practitioners into a brainwashing center, the local police station, or detention center. They force family members to hand over huge amounts of money by taking advantage of their fear that their loved ones will suffer. If the penalty is not paid, they may keep the practitioner in detention, torture him, or send him to a forced labor camp or prison. Some practitioners have even died in police custody. The authorities don't give receipts for the paid penalty, not even an IOU. All the money goes into their own pockets. More than 90 personnel work in the court of the Jiuzhai Township Chinese Communist Party, including Gong Tongliang, who was the secretary of Jiuzhai Township Chinese Communist Party, and Liu Changkun, who was the former deputy secretary of the Communist Party. Those who didn't participate in the beatings can be numbered.

Shenyang practitioner Ms. Fu Fengying is 60 years old. She lives on Lingwen Street in Shenhe District. When she was posting truth-clarification flyers near Dadong District Government on October 9, 2007, she was reported and taken by force to the First Police Station of Dadong. Her home was ransacked. She is currently being held at Shenyang Detention Center. This is the third time she was arrested.

At around midnight on October 23, 2007, Mr. Wang Zhidong of Quanyang Town, Baishan City was forcibly taken into custody when he was at practitioner Mr. Li Leyou's home. Mr. Li Leyou worked at the Baihe Forestry Bureau. Mr. Wang is now illegally detained at the Baihe National Security Brigade office.

Director Tan Hongwei of Youyi Police Station in Jinzhou District has been actively participating in arresting practitioners. On October 22, 2007, practitioner Ms. Yang Xiuzhi was arrested by him, and is now detained at the Dalian Lockup. Ms. Han Jiling is detained at the Jinzhou District Detention Center, and Ms. Sun Guifen is detained at the Dalian Detention Center.

On October 24, 2007, practitioner Mr. Zhang Fengkuan clarified the truth to his relative, Liu Delin. Not only did Liu not listen, but he reported Zhang to the police. On the same day, Mr. Zhang was arrested by officers from the First Police Station in Jidong County.
8. [Yi County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Cai Jichun Taken into Custody
In the morning on October 25, 2007, Yi County practitioner Mr. Cai Jichun was taken into custody by officers from Yi County Police Station and the National Security Brigade. He is now illegally detained at Yi County Police Station. His home was ransacked. Police also held his wife in custody at Yi County Police Station. Later, his two daughters went to the police station to request the release of their parents; they were able to take their mother home.

In August 2007, when practitioner Mr. Lu Binggui was distributing truth-clarification materials, he was reported and then arrested. At the end of September 2007, he was illegally sentenced to three years of imprisonment by the Dadong District Court of Shenyang City.
10. [Jian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Baojun and Others Suffer Persecution
In September 2007, when practitioner Mr. Li Baojun, principal of the Shuangcha Center School, Jian City, was clarifying the truth, he was reported and arrested. He is now held in custody and suffers persecution at the Jian City Detention Center.
After 7:00 p.m. on June 4, 2007, practitioners Ms. Liu Xueyan and Ms. Liu Hong were reported to the police when they were distributing truth-clarification materials in Penghu District, Jian City. They were arrested by Taiwang Border Defense Officers and National Security Brigade personnel. Liu Xueyan was illegally sentenced to three and a half years in prison. Liu Hong was sentenced to three years in prison.
On April 3, 2007, practitioner Ms. Luo Xizhen of Renao Village, Qinghe Town, Jian City, was illegally arrested by three officers from the Qinghe Police Station when she was reported for clarifying the truth. She has been sentenced to three years of imprisonment by Jian City Court.
11. [Beijing] Update on Ms. Liu Guihua's Arrest
At 10:00 a.m. on October 13, 2007, 18 police officers, using three police vehicles, arrived at the Nanheng Garden Area in Fengtaiqiao. They knocked on practitioner Ms. Liu Guihua's door pretending they were checking on a gas leak. Then, they arrested Liu Guihua, ransacked her home, and took a computer, personal belongings, and several thousand yuan.
12. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Update on Ms. Sun Jinju and Ms. Jiang Yuxiang, Detained in a Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Sun Jinju and Ms. Jiang Yuxiang, retired employees of Jinan Machinery Second Factory, were held in custody for distributing truth-clarification materials outside Hualian Supermarket, Huaiyin Square, in early October 2007. Their homes were ransacked that night, and a lot of Dafa books were stolen. Police station personnel also extorted 5,000 yuan from them and 3,000 yuan from the two families.
13. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Ronghua Taken into Custody
At around noon on October 24, 2007, practitioner Ms. Zhang Ronghua, who lives in Yanqing City, was taken into custody by officers from the Yanqing Police Station. The police ransacked her home, and took Dafa books, a computer and other personal belongings which were worth over 10,000 yuan.

In May 2007, Yanliang District Police Officers in Xian arrested practitioner Mr. Zhou Yanping and have held him in custody ever since. In August 2007, the officers arrested practitioners Mr. Su Haiping and Mr. Li Heping. In September 2007, they arrested practitioners Ms. Wang Juan and Mr. Jiang Weidong, who have been sent to a brainwashing center.
In 2006, practitioners Mr. Song Zhi and Mr. Feng Xincheng were sent to a forced labor camp for a year, then they were sent to a brainwashing center. They escaped the brainwashing center and now they are in hiding to avoid being illegally arrested.
19. [Taigu, Shanxi Province] Ms. Cheng Quanying Taken into Custody
At 7:00 p.m. on October 20, 2007, seven or eight officers from the Mingxing Police Station and the Taigu Police Station National Security Brigade surrounded Ms. Cheng Quanying's residence, broke her door in and intruded on her home. The police officers ransacked her home, and took a printer, Dafa books, Teacher Li's picture, truth-clarification materials, and other personal belongings. Ms. Cheng Quanying was taken into custody. She is now detained at the Yuci Detention Center.
20. [Guangdong Province] Additional Information on the Arrest and Detention of Long Guande and His Wife Zhan Xuemei
Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Long Guande and Ms. Zhan Xuemei have been persecuted severely. They used to be worth ten million yuan, but now have lost their family fortune, and cannot return to their home for fear of being illegally arrested. They were taken into custody at Dongwan on September 23, 2007. Their house has been ransacked, and three trucks full of personal belongings have been stolen by the authorities.
Long Guande is currently detained at the Third Detention Center, Baiyun District, Guangzhou. Zhan Xuemei has been sent to Guangzhou Chatou Brainwashing Center by Xiyuan Police, Licheng Town, Zengcheng City, which is her household registration location (editor: the Chinese Communist Party controls people by registering everyone to a location).
21. [Xian, Shanxi Province] Update on Ms. Li Guilan's Arrest
Practitioner Ms. Li Guilan lives at Weihe Electricity Factory family residential area, Wudaoshizi, Xiaodongmen. On October 18, 2007, she was taken into custody by Zhongshan Police. She was then sent to the Changlepo Detention Center.
22. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Shuping Taken into Custody
At 3:00 p.m. on October 25, 2007, practitioner Ms. Hu Shuping, living in Guangming Community, Yingcheng, was arrested by Yingcheng Police. Her whereabouts are unknown. Her mother, who is over 70 years old, is anxiously awaiting her daughter's return.
23. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Fulan Arrested
On the afternoon of October 21, 2007, Beijing practitioner Ms. Zhang Fulan was on her way to visit her brother. She was reported by the taxi driver because she tried to clarify the truth to him. Then, the police arrived and arrested her. The police also searched her home and took Dafa books and truth-clarification materials. Zhang Fulan is still being held at Beijing Xuanwu Detention Center. Family members are not allowed to visit.
(Clearwisdom.net) On November 11, 2007, volunteers from the Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Malaysia held an activity at Merdeka Square in Kuala Lumpur to support 28 million Chinese withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations and to let tourists from all over the world become aware of this movement.

(Clearwisdom.net) The Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance International Fine Art Exhibition was held at St. Paul's Church in Cambridge on November 8, 2007.
"Please look at each picture and try to think of what lay behind the artist's intention in creating each image," said Arezoo Miraftabi, the organizer of the exhibition, during the opening ceremony.
"Experiencing the brutal persecution of the corrupt CCP [Chinese Communist Party], these Falun Gong practitioners radiate their magnificent forbearance in the face of extreme adversity, displaying a spiritual strength that shows a ray of hope for mankind's future."
Ms. Miraftabi went on to explain how the illegal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China has made children its most vulnerable victims, with many of them being orphaned when the CCP illegally arrests, detains and tortures their parents to death.
"The CCP divides people and destroys culture, morals, families, and faith. The CCP is intolerant of any group of people who do not worship it above all else. Falun Gong practitioners have done nothing wrong and nothing illegal, and pose no threat to any political power. Their only crime is believing in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," she said.

"The prison systems in China have been used to make a lot of money for the Chinese Communist Party. It is free slave labor and there are thousands of these labor camps in China. It is estimated that 66 percent of the people in these labor camps are Falun Gong prisoners of conscience. More horrifically, a recent report by Canadian lawyers Mr. David Kilgour and Mr. David Matas reveals that tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in these labor camps are being tested and kept as a living organ bank until their organs are needed and they are murdered for profit.
"The benevolence of Falun Gong is truly a contrast to the evil that is persecuting them. This contrast is reflected in many of the paintings here today. We hope these paintings inspire peace, justice, and a democracy that will be tolerant of people's faiths."
Ms. Miraftabi thanked John Quysner, the manager at St. Paul's, for his kindness and support with the exhibition. Mrs. Fengling Zhou, a practitioner from China, also spoke about her experiences.
"Before I started practicing Falun Gong, I was in terrible health and very ill all the time. I also had a very bad temper. After I started practicing Falun Gong, all of my illnesses vanished and both at home and at work, my environment was very peaceful.
"When the persecution began in 1999, I was arrested and detained in a forced labor camp. Many fellow practitioners were also detained and some were tortured to death. When I was released, I had to live as a homeless person, fleeing from the threat of being arrested again.
"I could not see my family for fear of incriminating them; I could not see my friends; I could not have a normal family life. Even now that I have escaped China, I cannot return to see my family, my husband, or my daughter. Even when my father died, I could not go home.
"As long as the persecution continues, I cannot have a normal life and many millions of people cannot live normal lives in China. So I hope the persecution ends and all Falun Gong prisoners of conscience get released and the world returns to peace."
The exhibit of 22 paintings will be on at St. Paul's November 8-22.
(Clearwisdom.net) On November 3, one week after Mr. Wang Zhaojun, standing member of the Anhui Province Political Consultative Commission, wrote an open letter to Chinese leaders Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao, Jurist and Board Chairman Zheng Cunzhu of Jiahe Food Co. Ltd. in Anhui Province also published an open letter to Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao. In the letter he requested immediate political reforms at the city and county levels and an end to the persecution of Falun Gong. He called for more people to stand up and speak out.
Chinese People Need to Tell the Truth
Zhen Cunzhu said that Wang Zhaojun's open letter in The Epoch Times deeply moved and encouraged him, in particular because Wang Zhaojun was also from Anhui Province. Mr. Zhen spent several nights composing his own letter: "I was inspired by the fact that Wang Zhaojun could bravely write down his true thoughts. I also want to express what I really think."
He said that the main purpose of his letter was to tell the truth: "I had many thoughts buried in my heart over these past ten years. In mainland China, the June 4th Incident and Falun Gong are forbidden topics, and Chinese people kept silent on these issues. I feel that I need to re-investigate some problems and find the truth. That's the main purpose of my letter."
The Persecution of Falun Gong Must Be Stopped Immediately
Zhen Cunzhu agreed completely with Wang Zhaojun and believed that what is needed most in China right now is to stop the persecution of Falun Gong and bring the head criminal to justice. "He must be tried in the court of human justice. Events like the June 4th Incident and the persecution of democracy activists have passed, and for these events, it is only a matter of how to handle the aftermath and how to console and compensate the victims' family members. However, the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong, including harvesting organs from living practitioners, is a crime, and the criminals will certainly be punished and brought to justice."
Zhen Cunzhu pointed out that in 1999 the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) framed Falun Gong with a fabricated event, inciting hatred that's been hard to undo. Zhen Cunzhu talked in his open letter about two of his friends who were Falun Gong practitioners and the persecution they suffered, "...from them I see that Falun Gong is good for cultivators and society."
He said when he was a graduate student at Shanghai Normal University, his roommate, Guo Shenghuan, was a talented student in the Mathematics Department who participated in an Olympic Mathematic Models Contest and won first prize. Later he was nominated to go to graduate school without an admittance exam. After Mr. Guo graduated, he was employed as an instructor. He was well known because he enjoyed helping others. Despite his outstanding record, he was forced to undergo brainwashing and resign from the university just because he practiced Falun Gong.
Zhen Cunzhu also mentioned that Guo Shenghuan's wife was employed at Huadong Normal University. Because she refused to give up Falun Dafa, she was arrested and sent to prison. She also lost her job. At that time, she was still nursing her baby.
Another friend of his was Wu Liang, a maritime professional who was highly esteemed among businessmen because he never drank alcohol or indulged in frivolous entertainment. Such an upright person was later sentenced to several years of imprisonment just because he contacted international Falun Gong websites through emails.
Zhen Cunzhu said: "I have not studied Falun Gong deeply, but I have read some of Mr. Li Hongzhi's books. Falun Gong became popular during a difficult period in China when many people in the cities were laid off and employees had lost their health insurance benefits. Falun Gong attracted many to practice and improve their health. At the same time, their cultivation in 'Truthfulness Compassion Tolerance' played an active role in helping to stabilize public order.
"The persecution of Falun Gong has not followed legal procedures from the beginning, and it was a very bad decision on the part of certain persons at the highest levels of the CCP."
He stressed that the persecution, which has already lasted for eight years, has not only had a negative effect on China but is also deterring the development and progress of the Chinese nation. "Freedom of belief for Falun Gong, freedom of assembly for the Democratic Party, and freedom of speech regarding the June 4th Incident are all fundamental rights guaranteed by the Chinese Constitution. However the CCP has fabricated one mistrial after another, and it obstinately stands in the way of China's progress. The CCP is reluctant to reform. It not only persecutes Falun Gong practitioners, but also obstructes the development of the Chinese nation."

A year ago I decided to go into hiding to avoid further persecution by the police. During this time I put great effort into searching out my own shortcomings, improving my xinxing level, and denying the persecution. With Master's protection and guidance, I finally overcame the difficult situation and restored my normal cultivation environment. Now I would like to report my experiences to Master and fellow practitioners.
1. Treating Myself as a Real Practitioner--I Stopped Using Human Methods to Solve Problems During Cultivation
I consider myself a resourceful and smart person. I could take care of my own safety without much difficulty. For example, I used my cellphones for specific purposes, selected my itinerary randomly when I distributed flyers, and was watchful when purchasing printing supplies so people did not suspect what they were being used for. But all these safety measures did not originate from rational and righteous thoughts based on the Fa; rather, they were human thoroughness and skills. I thought they were signs of reason, and gradually I became over-cautious, and my suspicions and fear also grew.
The evil old forces took advantage of my "over-cautious nature" and created illusions of dangerous situations. Each such illusory occasion should have been a good opportunity to relinquish my over-cautiousness and my fear and suspicions, and make me strengthen my righteous thoughts and deny the old forces' arrangements. But instead of taking this as an opportunity for cultivation, I instead took more safety measures to stay out of trouble. But no matter how careful I was, my human capabilities were still not enough. Just as I was enjoying my watertight safety techniques, someone reported my activities to the police. Fortunately, with Master's protection, I escaped in time. But I decided to leave home to avoid further persecution, and I stayed in hiding. There were many reasons for this, but I will not elaborate here.
I found many of my own problems while living a homeless life. But I still overlooked my over-cautiousness and fear. Because I had gotten so used to dealing with safety issues from a human angle, the issue got worse. I believed that I should be more careful to avoid trouble, so I invented more safety precautions such as moving constantly and paying attention to all changes around me. Eventually I moved into a place where I felt absolutely safe. I spent several months there, studying the Fa and sending righteous thoughts.
One day a family member told me that the police had found out where I was staying, and they had my voice profile. My family told me to leave immediately. But my non-practitioner friend who usually provides transportation was out of town, so I was stuck. Realizing my problem I asked myself, "You are resourceful, right? What do you do now? Of course, you can hire a cab to move again. But what about the future? Do you intend to keep using human ways to protect yourself? The evil forces are in other dimensions. How can you hide from them? Now even the absolutely safe house is no longer safe. How can a human being resolve issues related to other dimensions?"
After deep thinking I decided to stop protecting myself using my human mindset. "I must treat this problem with a cultivator's mentality. I must abandon the concern for life and death, and fully trust Master's arrangement." Now, for the first time, I came to understand Master's words:
"For a long period of time the sentient beings in Dafa, especially the disciples, have had a misunderstanding of the Fa at various levels regarding xinxing improvement. Whenever a tribulation comes, you do not see it with the side of your original nature but view it completely with your human side. Evil demons then capitalize on this point and inflict endless interference and damage, leaving students in long-term tribulations." ("Expounding on the Fa" from Essentials for Further Advancement)
I was like this in the past, wasn't I? I viewed all my tribulations using human mentality. Realizing this, I began to recite "Expounding on the Fa" over and over, and put in extra effort to send forth righteous thoughts and eliminate the evils in other dimensions.
I once felt extremely nervous about an imagined danger. Every single outside movement triggered an intense fear, thinking that the police were coming to arrest me. Several scenarios and my reactions to them occupied my mind. Finally, I decided to quit worrying and protecting myself, and the next day I felt very relaxed. On the third day nothing happened. I knew that the evil had been defeated and I was very happy. I had overcome the fear and never thought about moving again. I focused on Fa study and followed Master's arrangement. Soon I found a better place where I could do more work to save more people.
One day a practitioner told me that the police were checking IDs in my neighborhood and that several practitioners' families had registered with them. The practitioner warned me to be careful. He asked me to avoid using lights and answering the door. This was another test. I knew I could move to a safer place within 30 minutes. But I also knew that a practitioner should not seek personal safety using a human mentality, especially when the threat was from other dimensions. But I still could not completely eliminate my fear. I knew that I was missing something major. That's why the evil had caused this interference. I increased the frequency of sending righteous thoughts and focused on eliminating the factors that make the persecution possible and make me homeless. Soon, I received a hint from Master that I would be safe here and that I would find a very good place to live a normal life. Sure enough, after I had lived in that place for three months I found a better place and returned to a normal life.
2. Unconditionally Looking Inward
My previous understanding of the principle of looking inward was that during conflicts with practitioners or facing a difficult situation, we need to sort out who is right and who is wrong. If I was wrong, it was time to look inward for problems and I should only look for ways to resolve the conflict. If the other person was at fault, then I was not responsible and he should look inward for his own issues. I should then forgive his mistake and move on. With this shallow understanding my xinxing level had not improved at all, and I later encountered more problems. All kinds of attachments were touched upon, but none of them were relinquished. More and more complicated problems occurred. I was completely drawn into my work, and I became more confused and felt like an ordinary person. I still talked about denying the old force's arrangements and persecution, but for a long time my xinxing level did not improve. Finally, I decided once more to go into hiding.
After painfully recollecting the lessons I had learned, I realized that it should not be that hard to cultivate my mind. If we follow Master's teachings to abandon our attachments, it should be like the story of the Chinese doctor pulling teeth as told in Zhuan Falun. The patient need only breathe in the fumes from the bottle of yellow liquid that the doctor holds to the patient's cheek.
During Fa rectification period cultivation and in the process of saving sentient beings, if we meet the strict requirements when faced with conflicts and never postpone or dodge an issue, we can improve without too much difficulty. But we must be diligent. If we are not strict, then we will encounter problems. If the hurdles are too big, we may give in to the old forces' arrangements. Tests set up by the old forces are like pulling teeth using Western medical procedures. The doctor uses a chisel and hammer to dig out a tooth, which is a frightening process for any patient. The tribulation is painful and difficult to endure. It is not enough to only realize the difference. We must also follow the principles in everyday cultivation.
Master is very patient and kind, but the Fa standard is the same for everyone. Since I accumulated so many problems in the past, it was not easy to catch up with the Fa rectification process. My cultivation during the past year was quite difficult, even painful, however I was determined not to accumulate additional problems. I increased my cultivation effort. In cooperating with other practitioners, I no longer looked for outside help, especially when I was treated unfairly, my personal interests were threatened, or my friends and relatives were in pain. Instead, I sincerely looked for root causes within. I put Dafa and saving sentient beings as the top priority.
Since my cultivation effort in the past was not up to the standard, just as I began to put serious efforts into cultivation, things became rather difficult. On many occasions when I had a hard time I swallowed my pride and pain. I thought, "I must purify myself and accomplish my mission. I will not let my own xinxing problems jeopardize saving sentient beings." Since every one of my cultivation steps was so intense and painful, it seemed unmistakably clear that my xinxing level was rising. My mind expanded, and with that my relationship with fellow practitioners was fundamentally transformed. Finally, I was able to move out of hiding.
I have now realized that looking inward should be unconditional. No matter who is at fault, if we encounter a problem, there must be some reason in ourselves. Master told us in "Eliminate Your Last Attachment(s)" (Essentials for Further Advancement II):
"All of you are already aware of the principle of mutual-generation and mutual-inhibition. If you are not afraid, the factor that would make you afraid will cease to exist."
I have come to understand that when a conflict occurs, or a situation arises, it is certainly related to factors in our own dimensions. Otherwise, it would never have happened. If we do not eliminate the related factors, we will not see real changes in our environment.
3. Treasuring our Environment for Validating the Fa--Taking Extra Care with our Projects
I used to have a good environment to do Dafa truth clarification work. I had my own house and a decent income. I did not have to work. Fellow practitioners admired my circumstances. I also felt good. But I did not commit myself wholeheartedly to cultivation, and my xinxing level remained low for a long time. My attachment to comfort became stronger, and gradually I forgot that Master had arranged my environment for me to validate the Fa.
In "Reverse Cultivation and Gong Borrowing" in Zhuan Falun, Master told us:
"The purpose of giving her energy was to enable her to practice cultivation and upgrade herself. While doing good deeds, she could develop her own supernormal abilities and build up her own gong; however, some people did not know this principle."
"She mistakenly thought that she was given the energy to become a qigong master and make a big fortune, while in fact it was for her to practice cultivation. Once the attachments to fame and profit were developed, this person's xinxing level had actually dropped."
"That woman did not know that it was provided for her to practice cultivation, and she mistakenly thought that it was for her to make a fortune, earn fame, and become a qigong master. Actually, it was for her to practice cultivation."
With my pursuit of comfort growing stronger, each day I thought about how to arrange the furniture, how to enjoy life, and how to make more money. I did not treasure this environment. Despite Master's frequent hints I did not become alert and did not value my projects. When I had conflicts with fellow practitioners I tried to resolve them using human methods. Because my xinxing level remained low for a long time, the old forces took advantage of my loopholes and damaged my environment for validating the Fa.
Soon after I moved to another city, the local practitioners there suffered a huge setback, and I lost touch with them. Because of transportation limits, the truth clarifying materials that I printed could not be delivered. I painfully realized the true tragedy when a Dafa disciple cannot validate the Fa. The potentially huge loss of being unable to save sentient beings is beyond all other disappointments.
After I spent many hours studying the Fa I came to realize that during the previous few months I had deviated from a practitioner's correct cultivation path and had not passed the tests. I knew that in the future I could not cheat when attempting to pass new tests. I must pass the tests with honesty and dignity. These hard lessons taught me the seriousness of cultivation.
I asked Master, "Dear Master, please give me a new environment for validating the Fa." Before long I moved into a good place, that with Master's guidance, allowed me to utilize my technical expertise. I was thrilled and thought, "I will treasure this place. I will never again lose a good environment for validating the Fa."
However, since the substance behind my attachments had not been eliminated, the roadblocks did not simply vanish automatically. Because my xinxing foundation was not solid enough, even after the painful lessons, I still had to struggle with my emotions when handling conflicts with fellow practitioners when I received unjustified criticism or when I suffered material losses. I often reminded myself that I would treasure this environment no matter what, and I would cooperate well with others in all circumstances. Finally, I managed to pass the tests one after another, and my environment gradually improved.
I now realize that our projects do not happen accidentally. Master arranged those along with our prehistoric pledges. We must treasure them more than our lives.
Some practitioners do not treasure their cultivation and become too comfortable in everyday life. Some quit working on their projects for various reasons, and told the coordinators, "I could never pass the test. I quit. Please find another person to do this." I feel so sad for them. I would like to tell them that you do not want to feel sorry in the future after you lose these most valuable things. It is the old forces that want us all to fail. If we can all realize that this lack of effort represents a breach of our pre-historic vows, then perhaps we would not give up so easily, and we would have more courage to break through the barriers.
I have gained so many understandings during the past year, and many were learned from my failures. In the past I thought I was a good practitioner. As I began to commit to real cultivation, I discovered that I was actually tripping and falling all the time. I felt so bad that I wanted to cry. After watching Master's "Fa Teaching Given to the Australian Practitioners" my heart felt very heavy. I realized that I must change the old habit of looking outward and finding other's shortcomings. When another person shows some shortcoming, I should consider this a mirror to reflect my own problems. In the next year I will become more diligent in saving sentient beings. I must follow Master's words in "Fa Teaching at the U.S. Capital (2007):" "...to do better, to be more efficient, to have a greater impact, and to save more people."

(Clearwisdom.net) At this stage of the Fa-rectification, every practitioner is fully devoted to doing well the three things to save more sentient beings. Teacher said in "Fa Teaching at the U.S. Capital,"
"Aside from what you as individuals need to go through and establish on your final road to Consummation, what is most important for you and most significant right now is to save people."
In response to Teacher's words, we have enlightened to some things. Starting in 2006, people from our Fa-study group formed a truth-clarification group. Over the past year, we have traveled to many places and visited many households, clarifying the truth and helping people with the "three withdrawals" (withdrawing from the Communist Party, the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers). The results have been positive, and there are more people learning the truth and coming to understand that Falun Dafa is good. During the process, we have also seen how joyful people are after they learn the truth.
One time, just after we left a home, a tall young man on a motorcycle caught up with us. He looked angry and asked us if we were promoting Falun Gong. We remained very calm inside and smiled as we talked with him: "We are here to spread Dafa. It is also to save people and help them understand the truth, understand the fact that people who practice Falun Gong are good people, and that Falun Gong is being persecuted." We also told him to memorize such phrases as "Falun Dafa is good" and "'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' is good." After listening to us, his angry looks disappeared. He said, "I am a security person in this area, and because someone reported you, I had to check on you. You are good people, I know that now, so I will not tell anyone about you." His admiration of Dafa had emerged. Within just a few minutes, he had completely changed.
"As the wicked beings become fewer and fewer, the minds of the world's people are changing, society is changing, and the sentient beings are changing." ("Fa Teaching at the U.S. Capital")
Before leaving for each visit, we sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil dark minions, rotten demons, and evil CCP specters that try to prevent sentient beings from being saved in the dimensional field of the place we were going to visit. When we arrived, some of us sent forth righteous thoughts, some of us clarified the truth, and others assisted in explaining the facts. We cooperated with each other. We talked based on the receptiveness of the people we spoke with. After we got back, we all sat down and shared our experiences. We discussed what we had done well and where we had fallen short, what we did that complied with the Fa requirements and where we had deviated from the Fa. We measured ourselves against the Fa and tried to do better each time. It has been more than a year, and we have been to almost every village and town in the area. In the future, we will go to places that are farther away to clarify the truth.
In the past when we told people the facts and helped them with the three withdrawals, we couldn't keep our minds calm, so the results were not good. We also had the attachment of fear. Now we have broken through that state. As a matter of fact, as long as we remain focused on the Fa and keep our thoughts on saving people, Teacher takes care of everything.
Teacher said in Zhuan Falun:
"Cultivation depends on one's own efforts, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master. It is good enough if you have this wish. It is the master who actually does this, as you are simply unable to do it."
We truly feel that Teacher is beside us all the time.

(Clearwisdom.net) After I read the article "Feedback for Fellow Practitioners Who Filmed the Video for 'Fa-Teaching Given to the Australian Falun Dafa Practitioners'" by an Australian practitioner, I had quite a similar feeling. I don't know much about the techniques of videotaping, so I would like to share with fellow practitioners from another direction.
I work in a Japanese company that has hosted several academic conferences every year. They video recorded each conference, then burned it onto CDs. The company is pretty small, so there are no professional cameramen, only one or two amateurs. They made surefire arrangements for the audio, camera, and seats on the stage. That's because, in handling things, the Japanese like to "confirm, confirm, and confirm again; cooperate, cooperate, and cooperate again." They take any flaw in dealing with personnel from other companies as a major incident that would damage the overall image of the company. Consequently there were always quite a few people who arrived at the conference venue a few hours early to check the room, its audio effects, and the position of the camera. Before the conference started, I always saw them quickly step into the conference room. They teamed up to check the front, rear, left, and right sides of the room to confirm the quality of the audio and video, and then they got into their positions. Once the conference ended, their first sentence when they greeted each other was: "You worked hard; we did it with no problems at all today." Then they relaxed.
Although this is a small company with no professional video photographers, with just a few people they can professionally manage the whole conference that is then available to all of Japan. And these are not practitioners. We practitioners should likewise "confirm, confirm, and confirm again" when videotaping the lectures given by our great, compassionate Master. Moreover, those around the camera(s) who are not doing the video recording could cooperate with those doing the videotaping.
I recalled seeing Master's lecture in the US Capital on July 29 of this year. When Master stepped onto the stage, there was a table and a chair covered with golden cloth right in the center. The main light high-lighted the table that was set up especially for Master. In the Australia lecture recording, I was sorry to see that, when Master arrived on the stage, the microphone was still on the podium, which had been set for practitioners read their papers. The lighting was quite dark. Moreover, there was nothing special set on the table at which Master taught the Fa. I was wondering if we could improve in showing our respect for Master and the Fa. Everything that is supposed be on the table for Master should be confirmed and managed by one or more practitioners from beginning to end.
This is my personal view. Suggestions and advice will be appreciated.
(Clearwisdom.net) Before practicing Falun Gong, my husband and I could not get along. We often had conflicts, and it was hard to keep our family together. During that time I became acquainted with a certain man. Shortly after we met, he started to pursue me. Bound by tradition, I believe "There are spiritual beings three feet above one's head," and people should not do things against their conscience, so I did not agree to his inappropriate requests.
Only after I became a practitioner did I come to realize how dangerous and dirty was the path that I was following. Although I slowly distanced myself from him, my attachment to desire and lust was not eliminated. Teacher said in Zhuan Falun:
"Desires, lust, and things of these sorts are all human attachments, and all of them should be given up."
"From a high-level perspective, everyday people are playing with mud while in society without realizing that it is dirty. They are playing with mud on earth."
For a while, I frequently used a computer at work. Whenever I started the computer, there were many websites showing semi-naked people luring you to browse pornographic pictures that provoked one's desires. Sometimes I could not resist the temptation and clicked on them, but no matter how much or how little I looked, I always had a headache. I knew it must be that a demon was taking advantage of my attachment, my loopholes, and was constantly strengthening this dirty attachment. I was a new practitioner, other practitioners had already cultivated more than 10 years, what should I do? I could not even get rid of the attachments of desire and lust, the one that should be eliminated first. I was so worried that I cried.
How could I eliminate the attachments of lust and desire? How could I remove those bad, unrighteous thoughts from my mind? I started to memorize the Fa. During the process, whenever I recited the paragraph about lust and desire, I cried. I knew that as long as we have strong righteous thoughts, Teacher would help us to remove those bad things. I pay attention to my every thought. As long as I have any thoughts about desire or lust, I recite the word "mie" (eliminate) constantly in my mind. During the first five minutes before sending forth righteous thoughts to clear our own dimensional field, I often add the thought to eliminate the demons of lust and desire that interfere with my cultivation. Slowly, I found that I was changing. I became more and more clean in this respect. I was able to control myself when encountering interference, and I was truly unmoved.
When I was awake no one could move my heart, but the test also came in dreams. One night I had a dream that a group of us went out for a picnic in a suburban area. One young man was very handsome. I sat down beside the bank of the river and he sat down besides me and said, "Nobody is here, give me a chance." I immediately stood up and with one look at him, I said, "Don't you know who I am? I am a cultivator." Then I left without looking back. I woke up from the dream. I was happy because I felt that I was able to control my heart.
But I had a similar dream about two weeks later. I was able to remember Teacher's Fa: "Tests reveal what is true." ("Hongyin") I knew as long as we have strong righteous thoughts, Teacher would help us in every regard and help to remove those bad factors. It is truly "When Disciples Have Sufficient Righteous Thoughts, Master Has the Almighty Power to Turn the Cosmos Around." (Hongyin II)
After a few months, I no longer had such dreams. Ordinary people's society is like a big dye vat. The TV, Internet, and advertisements often have pornographic content. Even if I accidentally come upon them, I no longer have any improper thoughts, Instead I feel that I am very tall and pure.
Several days ago I watched the video "Fa-Teaching Given to the Australian Practitioners." I had to keep my tears from falling the entire time. Teacher's unbounded benevolence has already melted away all my human attachments. In the lecture, a practitioner mentioned that some practitioners still commit mistakes in their relations between men and women. I felt really sad. At this final period, make sure you do not miss this most precious opportunity in all of eternity just because of your one-time attachment.
(Clearwisdom.net) I recently watched Master Li's new lecture video, Falun Dafa--Teaching the Fa to Australian Falun Dafa Practitioners, in which Master raised two issues: 1) distrust and lack of cooperation among practitioners and 2) validating the self.
I thought I did not have such issues. I am alone in my area without contact with fellow practitioners. The issue of cooperation does not exist for me. I was also unaware of any problem of validating myself.
Soon I encountered issues at work. I was unhappy about it and complained to the physician colleague sitting across from me. Looking inward, I realized something: I was transferred to the outpatient department this year and promoted as a leader. I wanted to prove my capabilities through my work performance. I recognized this as an attachment of self-validation. On the surface, I was protecting the hospital's interests when I actually hid my desires for self-validation--my need for recognition and validating myself. My attachments to fame and personal benefits caused troubles at work.
Though I do not have a cultivation environment that requires working with fellow practitioners, Master will not leave a single practitioner behind. He will arrange an environment for us to eliminate attachments in our work and everyday life.
I also remember recognizing and eliminating my problems in cooperation and coordination in my work environment. I was then working in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department where daily cooperation and coordination is a must. Competing for recognition and personal benefit, many people do not cooperate and coordinate with each other. After studying the Fa, I carefully cultivated myself and cooperated well with my colleagues. All we were doing was helping the patients. I did not care whether I was the head surgeon or the assistant.
Ordinary people live for renown and personal benefits. I am a cultivator who must eliminate attachments to these things. I am willing to be an assistant, as long as it is good for the patients. Under the guidance of the Fa, I let go of my unsettled feelings and abandoned opportunities for gaining recognition and personal benefits and let others have them. I remember Master's words:
"It's not like Gods see that your idea worked and then they raise your level. Instead, they only raise your level when they see that your understanding of it has improved." "But true improvements come from letting go, not from gaining." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")
Master clearly pointed out this issue five years ago, yet cooperation and coordination are still severe issues among practitioners. We must all look inward to see if this happens because we did not study the Fa well. We should not use "doing Dafa work" as an excuse to ignore Fa study. We should not let Master worry about us after so many years of cultivation.
There is another issue I would like to raise to the Australian fellow practitioner who came from Northeastern China. How could you be so careless and casual when talking to Master? We must show our proper respect to our Master. Though Master would not care, the old forces may get hold of such an omission. I hope our fellow practitioners don't take it lightly! Don't destroy yourself for this! Master exhausted Himself for practitioners; how could we not deeply respect Him in our hearts?
Every issue we encounter is an issue concerning us all. We should not automatically exclude ourselves. Though Master's lecture addresses the Australian practitioners, it covered many issues common to all of us.
I read an experience-sharing article on the Minghui website entitled "Finding My Attachments in the Process of Making Falun Dafa--Teaching the Fa to Australian Falun Dafa Practitioners DVDs." The author found his human notions and attachments to doing work, showing off, achieving results and especially validating himself in the process of making Master's lecture DVDs. As practitioners, we need to calm down and look inward to see if we have the attachments Master pointed out. We must not lose any opportunity Master provides for us to eliminate our attachments.
Dear fellow practitioners: our opportunities to validate Dafa are becoming fewer and fewer, yet we still have lots of human notions and attachments that cause difficulties for Fa-validation. This seems to happen mainly because we have not studied the Fa well. Most of the issues Master raised in Falun Dafa--Teaching the Fa to Australian Falun Dafa Practitioners were covered in his previous lectures, yet many practitioners did not do well. I believe this is due to insufficient and shallow Fa study and superficial cultivation. Our own issues impact Fa-validation and have slowed the Fa rectification process.
(Clearwisdom.net) In ancient China there was a saying "Whether rich or poor, do not be moved by self interest or gain, nor yield to power and force." During the Southern Song Dynasty, besides Wen Tianxiang, there was another man who was known to have the same courage and righteousness as Su Wu from the Han dynasty. His name was Hong Hao.
Hong Hao was born in Poyang (currently Boyang in Jiangxi Province). He was righteous and showed ambition from a young age. He once served as a diplomat in the Jin nation, but later he was exiled for 15 years and suffered tremendous hardships. He was, however, unmoved by adversity and loved his people selflessly. As a result, he was well respected.
Hong Hao was selected to be the person in charge of Xiu Zhou in the year of Xuan He. There was a serious flood that year and many people were homeless. Hong Hao volunteered to take responsibility for the task of saving people from this disaster. He distributed food at low prices to the victims, for which the people were very grateful. At that time the palace received its food from east of Zhejiang Province. Hong Hao asked a local official to give the food to the locals that were starving. The official did not agree. Hong Hao said, "I am willing to exchange my life for ten thousand lives." People were deeply moved and called him "Buddha Hong." Later when the Xiu Zhou army rebelled and millions became victims of reckless wartime robbery, no one dared to enter Hong Hao's house. They all knew that it was the home of Buddha Hong.
In the third year of Gao Zong, Hong Hao was sent to the Jin nation. The top official, Wanyan Zonghan, tried to assign him against his will to be an official for Liu Yu, the traitor of the Southern Song Dynasty. Hong Hao sternly refused. Wanyan Zonghan was furious and wanted to kill him. Another official praised Hong Hao for having true loyalty and knelt in front of Wanyan Zongha to beg him to spare Hong Hao's life. Hong Hao consequently survived, but was exiled to the Lengshan area (currently north of Nongan in Jilin Province).
It was very cold in Lengshan and it started snowing in August. Hong Hao lived in a cave. Sometimes he could not get any food. In the hot summer he still wore thick clothes. He once used up all his wood during a snowstorm and had to burn horse dung to cook noodles. During that time, Jin nation frequently sent people to try to persuade him to give in. But Hong Hao was never tempted. Later, after hearing about his reputation, the head of Jin nation appointed him a top official. Hong Hao once again refused. Although he was in a very difficult situation, he still tried his best to help the Song Dynasty to rescue its people from captivity.
In the twelfth year of Shaoxing (year 1142AD), Jin and Song negotiated peace. The head of Jin nation decided to forgive all political criminals on the occasion of the birth of his first son. As a result, Hong Hao could go home. When he saw the emperor, he asked to go back to his hometown to take care of his mother. The emperor said, "You have been so loyal to my nation. Your reputation surpasses Su Wu. How can you leave me?"
Hong Hao was exiled for 15 years. Among the 13 people who were exiled, only three came back alive. Hong Hao was the only one who was known for being loyal.
During his stay in Jin nation, although his situation was very difficult, Hong Hao was righteous and courageous. Even the people in Jin nation admired him. Poems about him were printed and circulated among the Jin people. After he returned home, whenever Jin's messenger went to visit Song nation, he would always ask about Hong Hao.
Hong Hao once told Qin Hui (the person who framed and killed Prime Minister Yue Fei, the national hero) that he must take back the land in the north. As a result, Qin Hui was jealous of him. He repeatedly framed him and caused Hong Hao to be exiled again for over ten years. Hong Hao died in Nan Xiong state at the age of 68. The day after he passed away, Qin Hui also died. When the emperor heard about the death of Hong Hao, he was sad and honored him with an award, securing his fame.
Because of his righteousness, Hong Hao has lived on in people's hearts for years. Meanwhile, those people who abandoned their conscience for personal gain and self interest have always been looked down upon.
(Clearwisdom.net) A "solemn declaration" is a person's public statement declaring to the world that whatever he or she has done or said under duress or deception that was against Falun Dafa is null and void. Most of these statements have come from Falun Dafa practitioners in China who wished to express regret that, in the face of physical torture and brainwashing, they had signed documents renouncing Dafa and guaranteeing not to practice again. Also, as more and more people in China learn the truth about how they have been deceived and lied to by the Jiang regime, many non-practitioners are also submitting "solemn declarations."

(Clearwisdom.net) More and more people in China are awakening to the truth and realizing that they were deceived by Jiang and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) into participating in the persecution of Falun Gong, either directly as government officials, police, labor camp guards, etc., or indirectly as practitioners' family members, who in many cases may have cursed Dafa, burned Dafa books, or interfered in various other ways to prevent practitioners from following their beliefs. As a result of this awakening, the Minghui/ Clearwisdom website is receiving increasing numbers of heartfelt messages from non-practitioners who wish to publicly express remorse for their wrongdoing and announce their intention to rectify their words and deeds in the future. The editors will periodically choose representative messages of this type and publish them as articles entitled, "Solemn Statements from Non-Practitioners."
