Time passed by, a new year comes. At this very moment, we have too much to tell Master...

With Master's Compassionate, confidence and protection, we walked through one year, and are about to step into a new year.

In the past year, We have been lost and could not find a way out, we have been in such hardship because of the evil persecution, we have been in the same place because of forgetting our mission.

Each time, I can feel a warm hand supporting us, and I can see eyes of confidence that provides us power and courage, there is always a call from the deepest bottom of our soul that reminds us to take the right step.

Even if there are all kinds of pretty scenery luring us, even if there are so many setbacks and hardships that challenge us, we will not stop. Since this is what Master expected and what people expected, as well as being our prehistoric grand vows.

We will firmly believe in Master and Dafa, completely negate all the arrangements and hardships from the old forces, and do the three things more peacefully. We will make it, because we are disciples of the major Buddha, because we are the Fa rectification period practitioners, whom are envied by all beings in the universe.

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of January 14, 2006, class was in session at Chung-Li Minghui School. Unlike a usual class, the young students, all Falun Dafa practitioners, were looking forward to this class in particular because they would gather to send Chinese New Year greetings to revered Master.

As usual, the practitioners read Dafa books attentively and sent forth righteous thoughts. Several young practitioners recited Master's article "The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be." In the new year, the practitioners will continue to learn and cultivate, and be more diligent. Practicing Falun Gong, they learned to judge right and wrong based on Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. They like to study and behave well. They are happy children.

Sending forth righteous thoughts

At story time, the young practitioners heard an interesting story. In the story, a 5-year-old boy thought of his tired father and wanted to wash the car for his father. He could not find a clean cloth, so he used a wire brush to wash the car. After the soap was rinsed, many scratches appeared on the body of the car. His father was angry, but the following thought came to his mind as he was considering punishing the boy: "I shouldn't look at the surface, but at the heart within." Thus, the father forgave his son, hugged him and thanked him for caring. The story helped the young practitioners understand Master's teaching regarding thinking of others before oneself, and paying more attention to other's strengths. Thinking of others more will lead to better ways of handling difficult issues.

The young practitioners put on exercise suits, practiced the exercises and played waist drums. Several young practitioners are too young to join the school, but practiced the exercises and played drums with the others.

At the end, they took a group photo to send New Year greetings to Master and sang a song for Master. The song is titled "Master, Happy New Year." With their young voices, the song expresses all practitioners' wish:

"Greetings, Master! Happy New Year! Disciples in the new year will read Dafa books more. Greetings, Master. Happy New Year! Disciples in the new year will do better! We will let world people know Falun Dafa is great! We will help the world's people praise Falun Dafa!"

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 28, 2006, Chinese New Year's Eve, practitioners took to the streets of Bangkok to participate in local Chinese New Year celebrations. People came to the site in a steady stream while beautiful Dafa music and the song "Falun Dafa is Good" resounded through the air. The five sets of Falun Gong exercises were repeatedly played on TV and practitioners distributed truth-clarifying materials. Many people came to learn about Falun Gong, with many learning the exercises on the spot.

Practitioners performed a traditional lion dance on stage, followed by a waist drum performance. The lively beat, vivid rhythm and well choreographed performance were the center of attention. The performances were met with warm applause from the audience. Paper lotus flowers, hand-made by practitioners, were also well received. Many people were eager to get one. The practitioners were pleased to see more predestined people learn about Falun Dafa.

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 18, 2006, the Ontario Human Rights Court ruled that Ottawa's Chinese Senior Association had violated the Human Rights Code by revoking a Falun Gong practitioner's membership because of her belief. On January 27, the Canadian Falun Dafa Association held a press conference at Parliament Hill to commend this ruling. The association stressed that the discrimination case exposed the severe and widespread nature of the Chinese Communist regime's systematic persecution and propaganda infiltration in foreign countries.

In a statement, the Canadian Falun Dafa Association pointed out: "The Human Rights Tribunal recognized Falun Gong as a belief, realized the seriousness of the case and protected Ms. Daiming Huang's rights. That is, believers of Falun Gong should be treated with equality, not discrimination. In fact, the tribunal confirmed that the "discriminatory acts against Ms. Huang caused huge anguish for her, and also exposed her to exclusion, contempt, mockery, a loss of standing and isolation within her own cultural community and were a particular affront to her dignity."

Lucy Zhou, spokeswoman of the association, stated: "The Discrimination Case Against Ms. Huang is not an isolated case. These discriminatory acts took place against a more severe and widespread persecution background." She said, "In the past 6 years, Chinese consulates and embassies have been executing the orders of the China's 610 Office to 'eliminate Falun Gong.' The regime has repeatedly utilized heads of pro-CCP (Chinese Communist Party) Chinese groups to instigate hatred toward Falun Gong in overseas Chinese communities."

Ms. Zhou gave an example to support her statement. "For example," she said, "An organization, in the name of the Ottawa Chinese Community, requested the City of Ottawa not to allow Falun Gong practitioners to conduct peaceful protests in front of the Chinese Embassy. The group was actually speaking on behalf of the Embassy. A Dance Troupe in Montreal has several members who practice Falun Gong. Fearing to offend the Chinese Consulate in Montreal, organizers of local community events barred the dance troupe. In another case, a Toronto Falun Gong practitioner was fired because her employer's business was closely tied to the Chinese Communist regime."

In addition, Chinese diplomatic officials also try to isolate Falun Gong by pressuring Canadian politicians, distributing anti-Falun Gong materials to media, government officials, schools, universities, libraries as well as Chinese community and organizations.

In 2003, Xinchun Pan, former deputy consul general of Chinese Consulate in Toronto, wrote a letter to Toronto Star and publicly slandered practitioner Joe Chipkar's belief. The case was submitted to the Supreme Count of Ontario and Chipkar won the lawsuit. These cases are just the tip of the iceberg. The CCP is behind numerous unlawful activities on Canadian soil which violate practitioners' human rights.

Ms. Zhou said, "The CCP not only persecutes Chinese practitioners using torture, hate-propaganda and brainwashing in China, but it also export its persecution to the international community, including Canada. The targets of the persecution are Canadian Falun Gong practitioners such as Ms. Huang."

Ms. Zhou said, "If one group was the target of the CCP, any group can become its target of attack in the future. If the persecution against Falun Gong can be extended to Canada, other Canadian groups are not safe, either. In addition, the persecution is damaging to Canadian values and Canadian society."

The statement also pointed out that the CCP's persecution also infringed on the sovereignty of Canada. Testimony by a former "610 Office" official verified that Falun Gong practitioners in Canada are being harassed, blacklisted, and monitored. In addition to exporting the persecution to Canada, the CCP has utilized a more widespread and vicious measure--media control. Through the CCP controlled Chinese media, it has been infiltrating Canada ideologically for a long time. The infiltration has enhanced the Chinese embassy and consulates' control over Canadian Chinese and other Canadians.

Regarding the CCP's control over Chinese language media in the United States, the Jamestown Foundation, a US non-governmental organization, pointed out: "All the major Chinese-language media in the USA are directly or indirectly controlled by the Chinese government. Four main tactics characterize the Chinese government's effort to influence Chinese media in America. They are: 1) direct control, 2) use of economic ties to influence independent media who have business relations with China, 3) purchasing of broadcast time and advertising space, and 4) deployment of government personnel to work in independent media.

During the press conference, Ms. Daiming Huang, 73, recounted how she was discriminated against and humiliated by the Ottawa Chinese Senior Association. She said: "Falun Dafa gave me a new life. In the past 4 years, with my belief in 'Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance' and my determination to obtain justice, I have overcome many difficulties and eventually won the lawsuit. I firmly believe that justice will prevail over evil."

Ms. Huang also called on overseas Chinese and other groups to learn the truth about the persecution and say no to the CCP's lies.

SAN FRANCISCO (New York Times) -- A California businessman has returned to the United States after three years of imprisonment in China for his participation in Falun Gong... Charles Lee, 41 and a resident of Menlo Park, arrived at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday, welcomed by more than 100 supporters... The Chinese government first detained Mr. Lee on Jan. 22, 2003... based on accusations that he tried to sabotage the government by disrupting broadcasts with videotapes showing government persecution of Falun Gong... In prison, Mr. Lee said, he was beaten, deprived of sleep and food, and handcuffed in painful positions. He said the government tried to 'force brainwash' prisoners and subjected him to 'slave labor.'

REUTERS: CHINA TO LAUNCH NEW ROUND OF SUPPRESSION
BEIJING (Reuters) -- China is preparing to 'strike hard' against rising public unrest, a senior police official said according to state media on Thursday, highlighting the government's fears for stability even as the economy booms. An unnamed top official of China's Ministry of Public Security told a Wednesday meeting that China faced a long period of dangerous social discontent...In recent years, legal reformers have criticised such campaigns as contrary to China's official embrace of rule of law and human rights. But on Thursday, a meeting of law and order officials announced a new campaign against the 'sabotage activities of cult organisations', Xinhua said in a separate report. China calls the Falun Gong, a spiritual sect banned in 1999, a 'cult' that threatens the government.

FDI: CHINA STATE-RUN TV SUED FOR INSTIGATING TORTURE, BRAINWASHING
NEW YORK (FDI) -- human rights-related organizations in the U.S. have filed a civil complaint against China Central Television (CCTV) for programming that aids and abets illegal arrest, prolonged detention, torture, and brainwashing of Falun Gong practitioners... the complaint is an action for compensatory and punitive damages against CCTV for its 'intentional production, broadcast and dissemination of propaganda and other material geared specifically to incite, aid and abet, authorize, order or instigate the illegal arrest, prolonged arbitrary detention and severe mental and physical torture and brainwashing of plaintiffs and persons similarly situated in China,' says plaintiff attorney Dr. Terri Marsh... 'Its tactics are virtually identical to those used in Nazi Germany, in Rwanda, during the massacre of the Tutsi by the Hutu, and in Yugoslavia under Slobodan Milosevic,' Marsh explains. 'In all of these massacres, not only is the message always the same ('Destroy them or they will destroy you'), but the name of the mass crime that follows is genocide or ethnic cleansing, and now we're seeing something similar propagated against Falun Gong in China.'

STAR-LEDGER: SONG USED IN TORTURE TAKES CENTER STAGE AT RADIO CITY
NEW JERSEY (Star-Ledger) -- Gong Lee, a survivor of China's forced labor camps, calls it 'the torture song,' an anthem he said his captors sang as they brutalized him and other followers of the Falun Gong... Now that a version of the show [featuring the song], produced by CCTV, will appear Monday at Radio City Music Hall, Falun Gong adherents... have been protesting, claiming the show's title and its inclusion of the song is a painful reminder of their persecution - and a form of propaganda... 'The song to me is a nightmare. It's linked to the worst day of my life,' said Lee... 'When you sing that song, it means you're in line with the Communist regime.' ... SCMP: HUMAN RIGHTS LAWYER GAO ZHISHENG SURVIVES 'ASSASSINATION' BID
HONG KONG (SCMP) -- Prominent human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng says he was targeted in an assassination attempt on Tuesday night when a car suddenly braked in front of his vehicle while travelling at high speed on a Beijing road. Mr Gao said he braked hard during the incident... and managed to stop about 1cm from the other car, whose number plate was obscured by a piece of paper. Unable to read the plate, Mr Gao got out and walked to the front of the car to read its front plate. He said the car accelerated and drove directly towards him, forcing him to lose balance and topple into a flower bed on the side of the road, striking his right hand. As it drove away, the paper flapped free and revealed Beijing number plate EB8233, he said, adding that a second, military vehicle present during the incident then drove off.

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 27, volunteers of Friends of Falun Gong and the local chapter of Amnesty International (AI) jointly held an Information display and seminar on the persecution of Falun Gong on the campus of Seton Hall University. Many faculty, staff and students learned the facts about Falun Gong and tried the exercises during the one-day event.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Falun Gong information display was held at the entrance to a cafeteria, a busy location. Many students and faculty/staff members learned about how the Chinese Communist regime had been brutally persecuting Falun Gong. A TV was set up as well to play truth-clarifying clips which attracted many passersby. Several hundred fliers were distributed and many people read the fliers while having lunch in the cafeteria. After reading the materials, a lot of people expressed their gratitude for the information and expressed their support for Falun Gong.

From 7 to 9 p.m., interested students attended the Falun Gong seminar held at a faculty lounge room. Alan Adler, director of Friends of Falun Gong, gave a keynote speech. The attendees discussed what Falun Gong is, the situation of the persecution and efforts to end the atrocities. When the seminar concluded, students expressed their interest in learning the Falun Gong exercises, so several practitioners taught them the first four standing exercises of Falun Gong.

The student chapter of AI organized this event and helped distribute fliers and explain the facts of the persecution. This event was the second joint venture between AI and Friends of Falun Gong. Volunteers of AI are planning for another similar event to be held at the end of Spring.

Because of the great interest, the photo exhibitions extended into autumn. This time we headed to Kuusamo to hold the exhibition.

I was organizing some information material about the persecution of Falun Gong on the table when I felt that somebody was watching us. When I turned my head, I saw two young girls following my husband with their eyes as he hung pictures. I asked if they spoke Finnish. The older one answered very clearly, "Yes." She continued to look at the pictures and asked, "What is this about?" As I was explaining Falun Gong to her she looked at the pictures and her dark eyes were glowing when she said, "This is something I would like to learn more about." She got information about Falun Gong and also the website address. The girls were born in South-Korea but had been in Kuusamo for several years. They left us with happy smiles on their faces. The exhibition was held in Kuusamo for two weeks and during that time many people signed their names in the guestbook.

It was September 17th when we left for our next stop, Muonio. It is located next to the Swedish border and about 200 km further on is the Norwegian border.

The library in Muonio was an old wooden house. The exhibition looked beautiful on the wall. The librarian gave us lot of support - with her help the Koillis-Lappi Newspaper learned about this exhibition. But they could not come to Muonio to do the interview because of the long distances in Lapland, instead a reporter interviewed us via the phone and the article was published in the newspaper.

The next place for the exhibition was Pelkosenniemi. In tourist brochures, they write that Pyhätunturi (name of a mountain) is the door to the real Lapland. Here, time slows down, natural beauty opens people's hearts, the ancient mountains touch the heart within, and forgotten stories begin to live again.

The library is in the same building as the school. Falun Gong was warmly welcomed to this small cultural town.

Before we even began to hang the pictures, the door opened and students passed us in a long stream to go for lunch in the dining-hall. Some of the students asked curiously what was happening to a person in a certain picture and why they had to suffer.

One young girl asked, "What will happen to those who do this evil? Are they going to be put in jail for committing this kind of crime?" This girl learned that all who had done bad deeds must bear the penalty for what they have done, that bad things have to be exposed and the guilty ones will be brought to justice. Some students discussed among themselves about the pictures and they seemed to have a good understanding about the stories behind the pictures. The photo exhibition hung there for two weeks to let the people learn more of the truth about Falun Gong. When we arrived two weeks later we held a short introduction class for those who were interested to learn the practice of Falun Gong.

Between all the traveling we took short breaks to stretch our legs or to eat something. That gave us more chances to talk to people about the persecution that is taking place in China. We realized that more and more people understood that the persecution in China is terrible and against human rights. Falun Gong practitioners should never be persecuted.

The Falun Gong group entry received a commemorative plaque and a certificate presented by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Tim Joiner, along with the Lord Lieutenant of Greater London Mr. Roger Bramble DL and the event director, on behalf of the patrons, supporters and organizers of the 2006 New Year's Day Parade and Festival in recognition and appreciation of their participation in the parade.

The ceremony was attended by many of the parade participants as well as Mayors of other London districts. The Mayor, the Lieutenant and the event director expressed thanks to the two practitioners and asked them to convey their gratitude to the rest of the group for having such a colorful and interesting display as a part of the London parade. They also expressed their heartfelt wish for Falun Gong to continue being a highlight of the parade.

On January 1, 2006, U.K. Falun Gong practitioners marched in the "Largest European Street Parade." More than 10,000 marched for the 20^th London New Year parade, which attracted about 450,000 London spectators. Practitioners performed traditional Chinese cultural arts and demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises. Wherever they appeared, their performance was acclaimed for its exceptional beauty and peace.

(Clearwisdom.net) I was savagely tortured at the Shiliping Labor Camp in Zhejiang Province for believing in Falun Gong.

Prior to starting Falun Gong practice I had many illnesses and could barely walk. I suffered from Hepatitis B, chronic gastritis, headaches, scrofula, and back and leg pain. I tried Chinese and Western medicine and went to different hospitals, but my condition only worsened after six years of treatment. The almost 10,000 Yuan in medical expenses were a heavy financial burden. I thought about suicide many times due to the unbearable chronic pain. In my desperation, I remembered a copy of Zhuan Falun a friend had given me. Perhaps the time hadn't yet arrived for me to practice Falun Gong, because I had read it once and didn't take it seriously. Six months later, in the summer of 1998, I was nearly without hope because the doctors announced they couldn't treat me. I thought about my wife and young daughter. The desire to go on living motivated me to again pick up Zhuan Falun. Just as Teacher said in Zhuan Falun,

If doctors of Western medicine can't cure him, he'll go see a doctor of Chinese medicine. And if doctors of Chinese medicine can't cure him, and if folk prescriptions can't cure him either, then he'll remember qigong. He thinks to himself, "I'll go try my luck and see if qigong really can heal me."

So, I started practicing Falun Gong.

At first I practiced to get healthy. Several days later I learned the principles about healing illnesses and practicing cultivation. On the tenth day I concentrated on cultivation practice. From that point on, I never took another pill. I was completely cured after one year of practice.

Since Dafa had given me a second life, I had new hopes for life again. Then I heard about the Tianjin incident [Tianjin police illegally arrested Falun Gong practitioners who clarified the truth], and many other practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. Shortly after 10,000 Falun Gong practitioners went to Beijing to appeal, I learned on July 19, 1999 that the communist regime would start persecuting Falun Gong. I thought, "Why doesn't the regime let people follow such a wonderful practice?" I went to Beijing to appeal, also. At noon the next day I saw news broadcasts on TV that were filled with slander and attacks against Falun Gong. My heart sank. I planned to visit some official agencies to tell them the facts about Falun Gong. Police intercepted me on the west side of Tiananmen Square, and I was taken to a stadium, where I was illegally held for one day and one night. Early in the morning on July 22, I was sent back, along with some practitioners from Shandong Province.

It felt as if the sky had collapsed onto me. Officials from the town administration and from the village Party committee knew that I had only a temporary residency permit. The Village Party Committee head, the security head and two others, four large men in all, started punching and kicking me. Prior to this beating, two officers from the Shahe Police Department beat me for several minutes. They removed my belt and used it to whip me with all of their strength, until the buckle fell off. I was struck to the ground, and they proceeded to stomp on me. They demanded 5,000 Yuan as they were beating me. I said, "I don't have 5,000 Yuan right now." I could not take it anymore and almost lost consciousness. I begged them to stop and agreed to give them 2,000 Yuan. They immediately told me to write an IOU slip. They took the slip and went to my wife, and took 2,000 Yuan from her.

Although I could not comprehend their behavior at the time, I did not hate them, because they are victims as well. Jiang Zemin is the archfiend who single-handedly launched this persecution, and people throughout the country followed his dictates and committed crimes. The police later extorted another 500 Yuan from me and didn't issue any receipt. As supposed administrators of the law they had violated the law. My rights as a citizen were trampled on.

From that point on, Jiang's minions engaged in full-scale, bloody persecution. They took my Dafa books, didn't allow me to do the exercises or speak the truth and extorted more money from me. I was deprived of the environment to practice Dafa. Under this unjust treatment, I went to the Appeals Office in Beijing on October 18, 2000 [Chinese lunar calendar]. I met two elderly practitioners from Wuhan City. Their determination toward Teacher and Dafa encouraged and inspired me, and I was touched by their pure heart toward Teacher and Dafa. The three of us entered the Appeals Office and declared our intention. They gave us pens and paper and told us to write anything we wanted. We started writing down how we benefited from the practice, that Falun Gong teaches people to be good according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." We asked them to gain an objective understanding of Falun Gong and restore Falun Gong and Teacher's reputation.

Soon, officials from the local liaison office in Beijing picked me up. Two officials from the Politics and Security Division of the county police department came to me. The section head slapped my face several times. They charged me with "disrupting social order" and illegally detained me for one month. On January 9 [Chinese lunar calendar], the head of the Politics and Security Division of the county police department took me back to my hometown. He levied the same charge against me as before and illegally sentenced me to one year of forced labor. They sent me to the Shiliping Labor Camp in Zhejiang Province around January 20 [Chinese lunar calendar]. I was thus deprived of my freedom of belief and my right to appeal. Appealing had become a crime.

I was sent to Division 4 of the Shiliping Labor Camp, where four inmates followed me daily. One of them told me that I would be sent to solitary confinement if I didn't "reform" [give up my belief] in a few days. He said that no one could overcome this. I was intimidated by his words. I never committed any crimes and was never imprisoned before in my life. When I was young, I learned about the Communist Party, boasting how much service it has provided to the Chinese people. I didn't commit any crimes and only said a few truthful words because I benefited from practicing Dafa. What would they do to me?

In the first few days the guards talked to me and ordered me to give up Falun Gong. I reasoned with them and refused. On the seventh day they detained me in solitary confinement. Guard Li said to me, "Everyone else has 'reformed,' except for you. Those who practiced for so many years who cultivated so well have 'reformed;' why don't you do it too?"

Later, I learned that they were brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners with deception and intimidation. Four inmates took turns watching me around the clock. I was not allowed to talk to anyone. At the solitary confinement cell, the guard tied my hands and legs to a chair and didn't allow me to sleep or close my eyes. Several days later I closed my eyes. The inmates poured cold water down my neck, and I was startled awake. It was in January and the weather was very cold. They removed my coat and left me in a sweater and poured water on me whenever I closed my eyes. At first, I thought the inmates were purposefully torturing me and reported this to a guard. To my surprise he said to me, "[We are] using this method to make you calm down and become clearheaded, to make you think. When you are finished thinking and write criticizing statements and four statements [to attack Dafa], we'll release you!" I said, "I used to be a graveyard patient', I am punished only because I benefited from practicing Falun Gong and saying a few honest words to the government? Why don't you let me speak the truth?"

I had reached my limit of endurance, and I was at the brink of a nervous breakdown. I waited for the minutes to go by and I lost control of my bladder. At first, they gave me a few bites to eat and several sips of water, but later I stopped eating and drinking, because they didn't allow me to use the restroom, and rashes and scabies developed on my buttocks after they were soaked in urine for a long time. The itch and pain was beyond description. I felt I would be better off dead. I lost feeling in my hands and feet after they were tied up for a long time. They swelled up, became numb and hurt. They didn't allow me to sleep for five days and six nights, and I felt as if I was going insane. I gave in.

After they untied me, I felt even worse, as I was wracked with guilt. I kept asking myself, "Where is my conscience? I betrayed my conscience just to avoid physical suffering." The next day I said to an inmate, "I want to revoke my previous words. I want my statements back." The guards pressured me and threatened to torture me with the Tiger Bench. I became afraid.

Later, two collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who turned against Dafa after torture and brainwashing] talked to me for several hours, and the inmates followed me all the time. One collaborator told me that he was tortured on the Tiger Bench for seven days, and his clothes were removed for several days. From their words and actions, I knew that they suffered even worse tortures, and I also knew that they didn't really want to "reform" me, as they were only trying to get the order over with.

Six months later the guards threw me in solitary confinement, tortured me with the Tiger Bench, and forced me to watch Dafa-slandering videos because I didn't "reform." I was again physically and mentally devastated. They again forced me to write repentance statements and "self-criticisms."

I was tortured savagely at the Shiliping Labor Camp only for speaking a few truthful words. The Chinese Communist Party tried to destroy my physical body because I believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. The guards often said to me, "This is the Communist Party's regime! You can practice something only if the Party allows you to, and you cannot if the Party doesn't want you to! This is 'education' through coercion." This "education" has cost thousands of people their lives in China; many more were disabled; tens of thousands of families were broken up; many children lost their parents and became orphans. This "education" forced many former practitioners to do things against their conscience.

In the few years after I left the labor camp, although the path has been difficult, Teacher's words helped me to become clear on the Fa principles. From now on, I will try my best to make up for my mistakes and keep up with the Fa-rectification.

(Clearwisdom.net) Policemen from the National Security Brigade in Hefei City, Anhui Province used an iron bar to pry open the door of Ms. Zhu Weiying's apartment and then took her to the Anda Brainwashing Center. After 13 days on a hunger strike to protest such treatment, she walked out of the den of evil. She is unable to return home where she faces near certain arrest. More details follow:

At around 5 p.m. on November 18, 2005, Wang Lu and Lin Qiang from the Hefei National Security Brigade, director Miao from the Daoxiangcun Community Office, plus more than a dozen others, came to Ms. Zhu's apartment with a one-meter long iron bar. They pried open three separate doors of her apartment on the third floor with the iron bar and dragged her out of the building. Her shirt and pants were torn open and her toes were badly bruised.

Zhu was then sent to the Anda Brainwashing Center. These perpetrators later searched her house again and took away her Falun Gong books, a MP3 player, a VCD player and a tape recorder. Inside the brainwashing center, Zhu refused to accept the evil arrangement and the police's orders. During her 13-day hunger strike, perpetrators force-fed her by inserting a tube into her nose once or twice a day. Several collaborators and perpetrators beat her numerous times and told her, "You are sure to be sent to labor camp if you don't renounce your belief. You will be sentenced to three years of imprisonment. Nobody will find out if we kill you--it'll be just like killing a dog." Zhu remained steadfast and refused to give up her faith. Her righteous thoughts kept the collaborators from approaching her.

In the end, the perpetrators had to take her to a hospital upon realizing her critical physical condition. At the hospital, Zhu, with Teacher's help, walked out of the hospital with her righteous thoughts. She is now homeless.

The policemen who arrest practitioners often inform their family members by saying, "We won't take them to labor camps or detain them like before, but take them to stay in a good hotel this time." Some practitioners wrote so-called letters of "transformation" under huge pressure when they couldn't take it anymore. Some others came out crying. The perpetrators were paid thirty yuan a day for doing such criminal acts.

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Geng Li is a 31-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian City, Liaoning Province. She graduated from the Beijing Language and Culture Institute in 1998 and successfully completed her studies as a Spanish language major. She always wanted to be a teacher. After she graduated, she worked as a Spanish language teacher. All the people who knew her, especially the foreign students who study Chinese at her school, appreciated her kindness and purity. Unfortunately even a kind young female teacher won't be spared from the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong.

On July 4, 2005, four male and one female plainclothes officers with a white van illegally arrested Geng Li in front of her school. They didn't show her any credentials. They forcefully arrested her and took her to the Navy Plaza Police Station at Zhongshan District to record a so-called "confession." At the same time, they ransacked her apartment and confiscated two copies of the book Zhuan Falun, one computer, one color ink-jet printer, one cell phone, three video discs and other personal belongings. To date none of her property has been returned.

In the evening Geng Li was taken to the Dalian City Detention Center and illegally imprisoned. Detention center doctors force-fed her because she conducted a hunger strike to protest her mistreatment. She was twice tortured with shackles. Her hands were handcuffed behind her back and then cuffed to her feet using a very short shackle. She wasn't able to sit or lie down. After a while her hands were swollen.

On July 6, 2005, Geng Li was interrogated. The police lied, saying they'd found a lot of flyers, brochures and videodiscs. On July 26, Geng Li was sent to the Second District of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Geng Li stayed on her hunger strike to protest the persecution.

She learned that the police had kept her under surveillance a long time. Even when she went to the supermarket they'd been following her. But, being the kind person that she was, Geng Li still wouldn't believe that these people couldn't be saved. She gave those people chances again and again. Even in the detention center, when the prison doctors and prison police stretched her legs and covered her mouth and nose to force-feed her, she still continued to clarify the truth to them. From what she said later, the environment in the prison was so bad that even the air was full of "lies, cruelty and violence." The prison broadcasted articles slandering Master and Dafa every day. The warden said that her practice of Falun Gong was disobedient to the will of the CCP, which was why she was being imprisoned and brainwashed. Geng Li was continuously persecuted, and she began to suffer the symptoms of heart disease. Her chest felt congested and she had difficulty breathing.

She began suffering these symptoms on October 19, 2005. Several times she felt her heart beating fiercely. During a so-called "physical examination" conducted near the end of November, it was discovered that the blood-flow to the vessels in her arms was so poor that no samples could be drawn. Even so, officials at the forced labor camp still tried to shake her righteous belief in Falun Dafa. They tried all kinds of methods to change and control her spirit, which she absolutely rejected.

Since they couldn't repress her spirit, they attempted to break her resolve with physical torture.

Her blood vessels were wasted because of the persecution. The prison doctor has tried many times, but still failed to revive her blood vessels. Her heart still beats rapidly and can't be controlled. Her chest still feels congested. If not for her righteous belief in Dafa, she wouldn't be alive today.

What worries her most is that the police, prison officials and spies who implement the persecution believe the CCP lies unquestioningly, and feel justified in using cruelty and violence. They don't believe that "Good is rewarded with good and evil provokes karmic retribution." She knows they will ultimately meet with justice as required by this heavenly principle. When people who try to be good pay with their lives for it, or when they pay with their lives but still lose their right to be good people, the whole nation is in great danger!

(Clearwisdom.net) After reading the recent article on the Clearwisdom website, "Call for practitioners who were released from detention to expose the persecution they suffered while in detention," I had much thought. I have been detained at Masanjia Labor Camp for over two years. Here I'd like to expose the vicious deeds they committed to persecute practitioners.

1. Exhaustion by surrounding and attacking. Once a practitioner enters the room, there would be four or five people, sometimes seven to eight, immediately surround him and loudly shout deviant and evil doctrine. The practitioner would not have any time or room to think. The torture would last until he wrote a statement to renounce Falun Gong. Otherwise he was not allowed to return to his room to rest until 1:00 a.m. or 2:00 a.m. Sometimes it lasts the whole night.
2. Terrible environment. They locked up determined practitioners in a dark and damp empty room, water house, or warehouse for a long time. Some rooms did not have windows. In addition, they put the most determined practitioners in bathrooms. They had to eat and sleep in there with a little plastic stool as the only furnishing. Sometimes police came in to use the toilet while practitioners were eating. Some had been detained in a bathroom for two or three months, and even six months.
3. Physical punishment. Practitioners were forced to stand without sitting; some were forced to squat on a tile that was about one square foot. Some senior practitioners could not squat and refused to do so. The police then pushed them and beat them up. Some were detained in solitary confinement and not allowed to use the toilet. Some had wet pants and were not allowed to change on cold and humid days.
4. Forced brainwashing. They were forced to watch videos slandering Dafa and listen to the vicious talks given by so-called experts. They were forced to attend brainwashing in groups. In order to get a bonus from their superiors, the police carried out a so-called "battle against determined practitioners" at the end of each year. They intensified their cruel treatment and took turns attempting to force practitioners to give up their belief. If practitioners still refused to give in, they were not allowed to sleep and were subjected to escalated torture.
5. Intense labor. Practitioners were forced to work from 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. Although they were exhausted, police still often forced them to work until 11:00 p.m. In order to get more money, police forced practitioners to dig holes for planting trees in rural areas or pick corn in the fall for over ten days. They were forced to do this kind of work even when the soil was frozen. All Falun Gong practitioners, young or old, were forced to work from 6:00 a.m. until late at night.
6. Forced to work in toxic environments. Police forced practitioners to manufacture handicrafts working with toxic materials. They knew that it was toxic, but still insisted on using it because they could make more money that way. Ignoring the well-being of practitioners, they forced them to work all year round. In the spring and summer, they could open windows for ventilation, but in the winter they could not keep the windows open because of the cold. As a result, they worked in a poorly ventilated poisonous environment all day long. Many practitioners had different degrees of symptoms including allergies, vomiting, shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, swelling, and skin rashes.
7. Scarce and stale food. The only food we had was corn biscuits. They were hard, yellow and brownish with a stale smell. They were hard to swallow.

At Masanjia Labor Camp, police used various vicious means to torture practitioners mentally and physically, causing some to become mentally ill and others to develop edema. Some had esophageal hemorrhaging due to the long-term force-feeding.

Ms. Li Fengqin is a Falun Dafa practitioner. She's from Yushu City, Jilin Province. Police authorities illegally arrested her three months ago. They then beat her and brutally force-fed her. Now her life is in danger. She has to get transfusion treatments every day, and she is extremely thin and weak.

On the morning of October 11, 2005, Ms. Li Fengqin paid a visit to her friend Ms. Yang Xiuhua at her home. Suddenly, a few police from the Municipal Public Security Bureau broke into Yang's home and forced the two women to sit on the couch. Ms. Yang's husband returned home and the police then monitored him as well. The police then started to search Ms. Yang's home. Eventually, the police carted Ms. Li, Ms.Yang, and another practitioner off to the police car. Two other practitioners who had been arrested were in the police car already.

The police took them to the National Security Squad. Qi Li from the Squad kicked Ms. Li Fengqin very hard with his boots. Ms. Li fell on the ground and wasn't able to stand up. Other practitioners helped her stand up. Even today, she is still unable to walk properly on her right leg. It was bruised and pained her badly.

That afternoon, the police interrogated them. At about 2 p.m., the police sent them to a detention center. Ms. Li Fengqin couldn't walk, but police officer Zhang Deqing pushed her into a police car. Ms. Li immediately experienced extreme pains in her chest and lower abdomen so intense that she could barely breathe.

After they arrived at the detention center, Ms. Li was in such pain that she wasn't able to get out of the police car. Policeman Chai Wen'ge, along with Zhang Deqing, dragged her out of the car. They handed her over to a few criminals. When two of the criminals saw Ms. Li crash to the floor, they carried her into the cell and put her on a very cold wooden bed. Her leg and stomach hurt badly. She started a hunger strike to protest her mistreatment. On the seventh day of her hunger strike, guards dragged Ms. Li to the detention center clinic for force-feeding. Doctor Li, a doctor at the clinic, force-fed her. They tied her down and inserted a tube into her nose. They poured salt water and milk formula into the tube. The next day they force-fed her again. Ms. Li threw up after both of the two force-feedings, and her stomach hurt badly. On the ninth day of her hunger strike, they gave her a saltwater transfusion. On the afternoon of the tenth day, two doctors came from Changchun and examined her. By that time, Ms. Li wasn't able to sit up. After the examination the two doctors left without saying anything. At 6 p.m. that same day, Ms. Li's family came to pick her up. Several criminals helped carry her out.

The police extorted from 2,000 to 10,000 yuan from each of the families of the more than ten practitioners that they "illegally arrested," that day, including Ms. Li's.

After she went home, Ms. Li started to throw up a greenish substance. Her family sent her to a hospital where they gave her shots, but her condition didn't improve and she still threw up. When doctors examined her, they couldn't detect her blood pressure, and they were unable to draw her blood to test it. Her abdomen swelled. Eventually the doctors figured out that she had a serious intestinal obstruction. However, her health was too precarious to withstand surgery, so the doctors couldn't do anything. Before her arrest, Ms. Li Fengqin didn't have any illnesses and was very healthy.

When Ms. Li Fengqin became unconscious, her family transferred her to the Changchun Medical College Hospital. She came around after 14 hours of intensive treatment.

Ms. Li hasn't able to eat anything since October 11. She often throws up and can't get out of bed. She has to have medicine and infusions every day to keep her alive. She is emaciated and weak. Her family is very worried and has spent over 100,000 yuan in medical bills.

Ms. Song Jizhen, a practitioner from Nanchong City, Sichuan Province, began to practice Falun Dafa in 1997 when she still had many illnesses. She regained her mental and physical health after she began to practice. Personnel from various government agencies illegally arrested her after the persecution started on July 20, 1999. They also went to her home to harass and intimidate her whenever a so-called 'sensitive date' approached. Ms. Song suffered severely and died on December 15, 2005.

Mr. Lu Bin, 50, was a practitioner from Luanzhuang Village, Zhuolu County, Hebei Province. He worked at the county's fertilizer plant but was fired from his job because he refused to give up Falun Dafa. The director of the factory at the time was Li Chunxiang. When he went to Beijing to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa in 2000, the government officials took him to the Shijingshan Police Station in Beijing and subjected him to cruel treatment. Both his mind and body suffered severely. As a result, his former illnesses recurred, and he died in the winter of 2002.

Ms. Zhang Jifeng, 64, was from Gaomiao Village, Zhuolu County, Hebei Province. She was cured of many illnesses and became a completely healthy person after she started to practice Falun Dafa. Her cultivation environment was ruined after Jiang's regime began to persecute Falun Dafa in July 1999. Government personnel from both the village and the township harassed her continuously, causing her old illnesses to recur and her death on January 18, 2005.

Ms. Ma Aiping, 23, was practitioner from Erdaojiang District, Tonghua City, Jilin Province. She died of the persecution in March 2004. The details are still under investigation.

Mr. Hao Lianru, 65, was a practitioner from Baishan City, Jilin Province. The authorities constantly harassed him, and his wife died as a result last year. Tragically, in September 2005, Mr. Hao died, too.

Mr. Li Zhaoyou, a retired worker from Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province, suffered from severe pulmonary disease before he started to practice Falun Dafa and often coughed up blood. Many years of medical treatment had not been able to help his condition. After he began to practice Falun Gong, he no longer had to spend a penny on medicine. Not only was his illness controlled, but some of his white hair turned black again. When Jiang's regime began the systematic persecution of Falun Gong, personnel from the local police station often came to his home to intimidate him, trying to coerce him into giving up his Falun Dafa practice. Consequently, his old illness reappeared, and he died in 2000.

Mr. Zheng Dejun, who is in his 30s and a Yichang City resident, was illegally arrested in 2000 and later sent to the Shayang Forced Labor Camp for a 3-year term. In April 2003, he was sentenced to another 3-year term. During his imprisonment, police asked drug addicts to drag him on the ground. He was dragged all the way to a field miles away. With one hand handcuffed to a tree branch, his body was dangling two meters from the ground.

In the summer of 2004, because he tried to stop police from torturing other Falun Gong practitioners, Mr. Zheng was put in solitary confinement. Despite the hot weather, the door and the windows all remained shut, and he was forced to stand, sit, and squat straight and still for hours. Police viciously beat him up and repeatedly subjected him to electric shocks in order to force him to give up his faith. All year round, he was not allowed to go to bed until 1 a.m. and had to get up at 5 a.m. Zheng had gone on hunger strikes to protest the torture.

At about 9:00 p.m. on January 12, 2006, officials from the Jiexi 610 Office, along with the Mianhu Police and local security guards went to the homes of Ms. Wen Fenhua, Ms. Yang Li, Ms. Wang Fenzhen, and Ms. Hong Lizhu, and conducted illegal searches, intimidating and harassing them. They took away the fax machine that the husband of Ms. Hong Lizhu used for business. When the 610 Office officials arrived, only Ms. Hong's daughter was at home, and she was forced to sign the papers, or else she would be taken to the police station. Afterwards, the officials and the police went to Ms. Hong's business to ransack it as well.

In October 2005, the police, on a tip that Ms. He Shuqin of East China Designing Academy in Jiaozhou had clarified the truth to the leadership at a recreation center for retired cadres of the academy, arrested her and later sentenced her to one year of forced labor. Now Ms. He is serving her term at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province. Prior to her arrest, her home had been illegally searched.

Ms. Liu Yuying, in her 50s, lives at Huang Village Stop, Daxing District, Beijing. She was twice arrested by Daxing Police and was sent to Tiantanghe Forced Labor Camp. While serving her term, she was twice sent to the Shatan Police Hospital for further torture. Now she is in critical condition and her family has not been allowed to visit her.

Mr. Li Lianjun, who was arrested in the late afternoon of December 28, 2005 in Dalian, is now detained at the House of Correction in Jinzhou City.

After his arrest in 2004, Mr. Qiao Jianpeng was secretly sent for brainwashing at Tiantanghe Legal Training Center located at Daxing County. Now illegally sentenced and with a term expiring on April 18, 2006, he is being held at the Detention Center in Chaoyang District, Beijing.

In Shaanxi Province, a Falun Dafa practitioner went to clarify the truth to his older brother who lives in a village. When his brother understood the truth, he nodded his head and said, "That is right."

Just then, an unimaginable event took place. A sheep raised by the brother suddenly jumped onto the desk and ripped the picture of Jiang off the wall. The two brothers later realized that this sheep was helping its owner to clean up the environment.

Recently, the head of a "Preserving Political Vitality" Office [one of many terms widely used in China for the "Office for Preserving the Advanced Nature of the CCP"] of a county in Heilongjiang Province was having a conversation with his acquaintances regarding recent efforts to "preserve the political vitality" of the CCP. He said, "Nothing done by the CCP is true. Everything is fabricated. When the CCP makes everyone write notes 30,000 words long, everyone simply copies from what has already been written. Isn't this a deception? When the provincial level cadres meet for dinner, they often spend more than 10,000 yuan. If they could use the money to help the poor, how great that would be! The CCP is completely doomed."

Human rights lawyer Bernard Collaery has told the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) Supreme Court that a ban on Falun Gong demonstrations outside the Chinese Embassy is threatening the right of ordinary Australians to protest against the death penalty.

The spiritual group started legal action against Foreign Affairs Minister Alexander Downer in August last year.

Mr Downer has been issuing monthly certificates prohibiting loud music and banners by the group protesting near the Chinese Embassy.

The lawyer for the spiritual movement, Bernard Collaery, told the court the fundamental concept of freedom of expression was under threat and that Australian families wanting to protest against a death sentence could be affected.

The court heard that Mr Downer has not complied with court orders to provide evidence, delaying the matter for four months.

Google sometimes seems like half my life. I start my days looking at Google News on the Internet, and often spend hours using the Google search engine to learn more about subjects I am going to write about. Little did I know I was dancing with the devil.

It's true. For the sake of this very rich company getting still richer, Google has agreed to collaborate with China in subverting the Internet's promise as an extraordinary means of liberation and in keeping the Chinese people subjugated.

More specifically, it is reported, Google will practice Chinese-style censorship, ensuring none of the 100 million Web surfers in China can use Google to find anything by typing in such words as "democracy" or "human rights," or by trying to locate nongovernment information on such topics as Tibetan freedom, Taiwan independence, the Falun Gong religion or atrocities committed by their own officials.

For thus blocking entry to more Web sites than there probably are books in a dozen major libraries, as well as pulling the trigger on blogging and e-mail, Google gets a grin, a handshake and a have-at-it agreement from Chinese autocrats who previously tried to censor the search engine themselves.

Now Google will do financial battle in this major Internet market -- second only to the United States --with Yahoo, Microsoft and Chinese firms as it tries to stack more money on its already accumulated Everest-high pile. As columnist Thomas Lipscomb has reported, Google's stock is valued in excess of $80 billion, more than that of the entire newspaper industry.

All this means it's time to make excuses, and they have not been long in coming.

Google co-founder Sergey Brin, as quoted in a Reuters news accounts, says he "came to the conclusion that more information is better, even if it is not as full as we would like to see." No longer must Google confront "the Great Firewall" of censorship erected by Chinese officials, he said.

"France and Germany require censorship for Nazi sites," he is also quoted as observing, "and the U.S. requires censorship based on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. These various countries also have laws on child pornography."

Yes, the best can sometimes be enemy of the good, as Mr. Brin suggests, but leaders of these high-tech companies offer China something it needs, and by standing firm, by being tough, could conceivably have bent China more toward responsible, civilized behavior as it moves ahead to superpower status.

Google -- along with Yahoo and Microsoft -- is abetting a crime against humanity while making it seem more or less OK.

The agreement to keep French and German Internet users from Nazi sites is a regrettable abridgement of free inquiry, but does not begin to compare to siding with some of the world's most devoted enemies of freedom in their iniquitous mission.

As for calling the protection of copyrighted movies and music censorship, that's blather, and to liken laws prohibiting child pornography to what the Chinese are doing is laughable.

Google's motto, as any number of news accounts and commentaries have noted, is, "Don't Be Evil." That's not exactly the world's highest standard.

It's about like saying a new mother's chief obligation is not to throw her baby out a second-story window. The startling fact is Google now has done something evil, has tossed the baby out the window, and has put itself in a position of doing greater evil.

Yahoo -- which had earlier made Google-style compromises -- says it was just going along with Chinese laws when it helped identify a Chinese journalist who had written an e-mail about the Tiananmen Square revolt of 1989. For that deed, the journalist is spending 10 years in prison.

I am among those who have argued the Internet could be the most powerful instrument since the printing press in disseminating information and ideas that will empower and free people. But I left out of the calculation the need for corporate officers to cling to their integrity, no matter how much the almighty dollar tugs at them.

I haven't given up hope. I still believe in the Internet. That belief would be strengthened if Google became a respectable dancing partner by renouncing its China deal.

(Clearwisdom.net) April 5, 1994, was the day when Dafa practitioners in Jinzhou were the happiest and will remember the rest of their lives. On that day, great Master came to Jinzhou to teach the Fa. In commemoration of that day, it was decided that April 5 of every year would be "Falun Dafa Day" in Jinzhou. Now, twelve years later, Master's splendid image and divine ability remain fresh in our memories.

In January 1994, Master was teaching the Fa in Tianjin. A practitioner who attended the lectures invited Master to come to Jinzhou and teach the Fa. Although Master's lecture schedule was full for the entire year, Master still promised to find time to give one session here. On April 4, as soon as the first session in Dalian was over, Master hurried to Jinzhou by car. When passing through Yingkou, it started to rain. Since it was almost noon they decided to stop and find a restaurant for lunch.

The sky was densely covered with dark clouds; pouring rain was to come shortly. Master had a look at the sky and did some hand gestures. The driver wondered, "What are those gestures?" Master said, "The Dragon King of a certain sea is on duty. It has to rain." The driver had doubts, "If it is to rain, how can a human being stop it? I have seen so many Qigong Masters who boast." When they walked out of the restaurant after lunch, it was still thundering. Master said, "It is not convenient to drive in rain. It is set to rain. If it has to rain, then let it rain behind the car. We will just go ahead."

The driver didn't believe it. After the car started to move, it was true that it rained behind the car with wrathful lightning, yet it was sunny in front of the car. Thus the driver had to secretly acknowledge Master's divine power.

After arriving in Jinzhou, they needed to get in touch with the Qigong Scientific Research Association. Nobody knew how to get there. Then Master drew the directions on his hand to show the driver. After a while, they found the Qigong Scientific Research Association. The association had arranged a place for Master to stay. When they arrived at the rest house, several veteran practitioners from the Beijing Falun Dafa Research Association were already waiting by the road.

A practitioner from Dalian who traveled with Master asked in surprise, "How did you know that Master had already arrived?" One practitioner said, "When we were at home, suddenly we heard Master's voice, 'You can come downstairs.' We then came down. The practitioner from Dalian said, "I didn't know that you could communicate with Master in such a way!"

It had been planned that the lectures would be given in the August 1 Theater. Because the authorities of the Qigong Scientific Research Association had had conflicts with the manager of the theater due to a misunderstanding, they were afraid that the manager would refuse their request. They thus changed the place to a club at the telecommunication bureau that could only accommodate about 400 or 500 people. Before the day when Master arrived, the practitioner who was in charge of the task of arranging the place had a dream in which Master hinted to him that the place was too small. It turned out that there were a lot of requests for tickets the next day. He had to contact the August 1 Theater, and the manager agreed immediately.

Only later did I enlighten to the fact that many things were actually done by Master, and we only did the superficial things. In fact, Master had already cleared the energy field before he arrived in Jinzhou. He didn't only clear the energy field at the lecture site. Some practitioners saw that Jinzhou in other dimensions was full of karma and was very dirty. After Master gave the lectures, the other dimensions in Jinzhou changed a great deal.

More than 700 people attended Master's lectures in Jinzhou. About 200 of them were from other areas. On the first day that Master gave the lecture, some practitioners had their celestial eye opened and saw that layers of gods, Buddhas, and Daos in other dimensions were listening to the lecture. Celestial maidens were casting flowers about. Whatever Master talked about would show in other dimensions. Whenever Master waved his hand during the lecture, countless Falun were sent out and fell like snowflakes on the bodies of the audience. The Falun symbol hung in the auditorium and was self-rotating. It was so wonderful.

During the lecture the next day, a drunkard about 40 years old, burst into the auditorium and shouted. The entrance guard failed to block him from getting in. A practitioner went over to stop him. Master then told her, "Let him out," pointing at the entrance as he spoke. Some practitioners saw that Master's hand sent out a ray of light. The drunkard was immediately pushed out. Later Master said that the drunkard was actually controlled by an insane monk and had come to interfere with the Fa-teaching. There was another situation where a person from the Jinzhou Qigong Scientific Research Association promoted his model for acupuncture and gave speeches that contradicted Dafa during the lecture. At that time, Master had already ended his lecture and left the platform. However Master turned around and said through the microphone, "If you don't want to listen to the lecture, please leave. Don't make incorrect comments to others, since it will not be good for you." Upon hearing this, the person was shocked and said, "My seat is so far away from the platform; how did he know what I was saying?"

One day, a Buddhist nun from Xingcheng cried while listening to the lecture, she understood that Master was teaching the real Fa. When she heard Master saying, "Gods had already given up on the universe." She was so worried that she didn't know what to do. She asked Master with tears in eyes, "Nobody is taking care of us, what should I do?" Master benevolently looked at her, motioned for her to look behind him and said, "They are all here, and Bodhisattva Avaalokitesvara and Sakyamuni are also here." The nun was suddenly enlightened. She understood the truth that the Gods and Buddhas from the heavens had all come to assist Teacher in spreading the Fa and saving people! She turned from grief to happiness, feeling so fortunate that she had the opportunity to hear Teacher's true Buddha Fa. Hence she walked on the path of cultivating Dafa!

On April 7, Master and several other practitioners went to Jinzhou's Bijia Mountain. It was during the high tide and the stormy waves were violent. After getting out of the car, Master stood on the seashore. He said looking at the crossover that connected the Bijia Mountain, "It is a dragon. The head of the dragon is the shore. The well in the shore is the eye of the dragon. Its tail is in the sea. And the crossover is the backbone of the dragon. Master and other practitioners boarded the boat. When the boat went forward on the sea, spindrift was boiling beside the boat. Now and then, white water splashed the boat. Yet the boat's path was as peaceful as a lake.

A practitioner whose celestial eye was open saw that a lot of little dragons were playing in the spindrift on both sides of the boat. Some little dragons even pulled Master's clothes. Eight Immortals and many other Buddhas and Gods were seen above the water. On the way to the mountain, Master cleansed the place while walking. On the mountain, practitioners saw that the godly images in the "Sanqingge" temple were quite different from the godly images in other places. Master told them, "These images are Gods of the sea and belong to the original Gods."

On April 9, Master along with several practitioners went to Yi County's Great Buddha Temple. Master said looking at the seven Buddha statues, "It is very clean and righteous here." A practitioner saw that those Buddhas cried upon seeing Master. Master told a curator inside the temple some stories about the cultivation of Buddha Fa and asked her to watch the palm of his hand and to look at the Falun Symbol. At that time the curator saw that a Falun was rotating in the palm of Master's hand and enlightened to something. Afterwards, she went to Jinzhou and attended the Fa lectures for two days. She thus started her cultivation. When leaving the Great Buddha Temple, Master asked practitioners to put their palms together and bid farewell to the Great Buddha. Master also erected one palm to [bid farewell to] these Buddha statues. At that time, practitioners had a deep reverence for Buddhas and deeply felt their stateliness and sacredness. Later a practice site was established in the Great Buddha Temple. When practitioners did the exercises in the early morning, they saw on many occasions that many Buddhas from the temple were also doing the exercises in other dimensions.

During Master's teaching of the Fa in Jinzhou, Master left very righteous images on our minds every time, everywhere, and on everything. At that time, the Qigong Scientific Research Association arranged a car to drive Master to the lecture site every day. Master said, "You don't need to worry about me. I promise to arrive before the class begins." From April 5 when Master started to give the lecture, he traveled on foot every day. But few practitioners met Master on the way. They all saw Master arriving at the entrance of the theater.

Master had very simple food and clothes. He wore a navy-blue suit; its sleeves were threadbare. Under the suit was an old knitted sweater. His shoes were also worn. But they were all very clean. In the rest house, practitioners saw that Master only ate steamed bread, porridge, or fast noodles. Sometimes, Master bought some vegetables such as cucumber from the market. However Master was always considerate of practitioners. In order to save money for students, Master gave the ten lectures in eight days, and Master gave two lectures on two of the days.

At the beginning of the session, students didn't pay attention to the issue of killing lives. One day, Master had a meal with the students. One practitioner took a shrimp (squilla) and put it in Master's dish. Master didn't eat it and told them, "I know that you local people like it. Although you've already started practicing, you still eat it. When I was giving lectures, they came to me to report you! They complained that they were too ugly. I then arranged to reincarnate them as fish." No one knows how much of the karma that we accumulated life after life that Master has already eliminated for us in order to save us, or how many old scores Master has already settled for us. While giving lectures, Master was still offering benevolent resolutions for practitioners. Master was indeed "Handling human affairs of every sort, Burdened with all of heaven's troubles" (Hong Yin "Cold and Alone Up High").

On the day before the session was over, practitioners asked to have their pictures taken with Master. Master promised. However several hundred people all wanted their picture taken with Master. They dragged Master here and there. Master was very kind and easy to approach. The nun also wanted her picture taken with Master. She was wearing regular clothes at the time and wished to have the pictures taken wearing nun's clothes. Master then waited with a smile for her to change. After she changed into the nun's clothes, she again took out her nun's cap from her bag. Just when she was going to put it on her head, a sudden whirlwind blew her cap up into the air and it disappeared. The nun looked up to the boundless sky and was suddenly enlightened that she should make up her mind to cultivate Dafa and follow Master to return home.

On the evening of April 12, the lectures were over. Master was taking the evening train to Hefei, since he would give lectures there on April 15. I remembered that before the class that day, Master and other staff used three rickshaws to take their luggage to the lecture site. In the evening, practitioners saw Master off at the train station. In the car, one practitioner asked Master, "Do you have any words for us?" Master said, "Cultivate well." At that time, everybody thought that this sentence was too simple. When I recall it now, I understand it contains so much of Master's ardent hope for practitioners in Jinzhou!

After Master taught the Fa in Jinzhou, he still cared about the cultivation progress of practitioners in Jinzhou. In 1996, after the experience sharing in honor of Master's teaching the Fa in Jinzhou two years earlier, the city's assistance center sent the materials and records to Master. After Master watched it, Master wrote down words to encourage us to "do better." On June 28, 1998, Master once again came to the Great Buddha Temple of Yi County. The guard at the gate recognized Master and told the practitioners. Some practitioners were fortunate to meet Master, whom they missed every day. Master answered questions about some problems that practitioners had in their cultivation. On the evening of December 30, 1998, Master along with some practitioners from the Falun Gong Research Association came to Jinzhou and met practitioners at each practice site. At that time, nobody was aware of it. In the evening, practitioners from several practice sites such as the oil industry company, Huaxin, Huaguang, the construction bank, Lingyuan, and the metallurgy bureau found at the same time that several people came to watch them practice. They all thought those people were assistants and didn't mind. One practitioner felt that a person who watched her doing the exercise looked like Master. But she thought on the other hand, "It's impossible." Only later did she learn that it was true that Master had been there.

Master, Dafa disciples from Jinzhou will always remember your boundless benevolence and will surely be worthy of your merciful and arduous salvation. We will try our best to do the three things well, "Reaching Consummation, returning with Master."

New Year's greetings Master! This is a belated greeting from your disciple. But it is from the bottom of my heart. Master, I've only been a practitioner for close to two years. But during these two years, my life has improved tremendously. Master, it was you who helped me find the urge to return home from this dirty world. During these two years, I often shed tears of happiness because I didn't believe in gods before, but now I've learned so much. Sometimes I still feel fear while thinking of what would have happened of me if I hadn't obtained Dafa. Wouldn't I still have lived in the darkness and evil without even realizing it?

Master, you know why I came to the cultivation path? More than ten years ago, I realized that Chinese people live without beliefs, without ethical standards. Later I learned that there is a Master who teaches people to be better people and to live not just for themselves. I also know that in this world, Dafa practitioners are all good people. However, it's just this group of kind people that got brutally persecuted by the evil Chinese Communist Party. Many of the cases reported on Clearwisdom.net made me cry. Lots of people don't believe these accounts. But I could tell that these articles were written from the heart and that they are true stories. Two years ago, I couldn't understand why such a good practice was so brutally persecuted. I felt that I needed to join the kindest group of people, no matter what kind of price I had to pay. This righteous thought, which I never had before, inspired me to want to stand with these kind people. If we all have to suffer, I want to join. I want to endure whatever is necessary for Dafa practitioners. Someday in the future, when facing my children and grandchildren, I can say proudly that in the darkest days in human history, in the most stupid and brutal persecution that the most evil party started, I awakened relatively early, and without any hesitation walked into the group that was hurt the most. With that simple thought, I became a Dafa practitioner and a happy person.

Master, I have realized that between happiness and unhappiness, there is only one thought. I once felt very unhappy. It was you, Master, who helped me let go of the struggle and pursuit of material gains and money. You helped me understand that human beings in this world are only here for a brief period of time, like checking into a hotel. A long time ago, I aspired to be a good government official. But with the extremely low income in Mainland China, it meant for me to live a poor life. It's fine if it were only me. But why do my wife, children, parents have to live the same poor life? I didn't want to live a life like that. So I started doing business on my own hoping to live in a bigger house and make more money. The result was that I always failed in doing business no matter how many times I tried. Sometimes, I was angry looking at the sky. Why is it so unfair? Those corrupt officials live a better life. Why couldn't I make a good living by doing a legal business? If I became corrupt, I could become rich too. A person wants to have a higher value, but the reality forces one to go the other direction. What kind of justice is this?

When I didn't know what to do or where to go, I often looked at the sky with anger. Here, I sincerely apologize for my ignorance. Now I totally understand that the reason why I didn't become rich was just for me to obtain the Fa later. When I was angry with the Gods, those high-level beings must have been laughing at me! I'm so thankful that the Gods made me fail again and again and made me understand the true meanings of life. If I became rich earlier, following the usual rules, wouldn't I be gambling, womanizing, wining and dining? If one went into an intoxicated and dreaming life too early, when would one have the chance to understand the true meaning of life? When would one have the chance to become a Dafa practitioner? How could one awaken from the delusion of the human world?

Master, it was you who made me completely understand the true meaning of human life and understand the purpose of being a human being. Master, it was you who helped me get rid of my attachments of material benefits and it was you who made me truly feel the happiness after I let go of the attachments.

Master, it was you who made me not fear aging, and not fear of the inevitability of death. I often discussed this with people and found that most people feared death. Now, in my mind, I only think of doing the three things and doing them well. The fear of getting old has disappeared. I often tell people that I'm not afraid of getting old at all. Even if I became 80 years old tomorrow, I wouldn't have any fear. This mood often could affect other people. Now I don't feel aging. This is the special happiness of being a Dafa practitioner. If it weren't for our great Master, how could we experience this superior happiness!

Master, when I read in Zhuan Falun, "Matter and mind are one thing," my heart and soul convulsed. So many questions from my life were answered. I always stubbornly thought there weren't any divine powers and there weren't any Gods. But they truly exist and I was able to see them. After I read that chapter, I understood that the things you can't see using your eyes are way more than what you can see physically. I understand that atoms, neutrinos, etc., are things human beings can't see, but they truly exist.

Master, it was you who helped me completely understand that gods and Buddhas exist. Falun Dafa is a true science. It makes me understand that virtue is a substance and makes me understand that heavenly justice truly exists. It also makes me understand the consequences of being bad, and helps me assimilate to "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," so that I can return to the splendor of heaven. I went from being an atheist who laughed at anyone who believed in gods or Buddha to a firm believer in gods. I live a healthy and happy life all the time.

Master, I'm so grateful that you saved me and pulled me up from hell. I will always be your firmest believer, no matter how fierce the evil. Because I understand the principles you teach me, I won't change no matter what kind of temptation I face. If there is a chance for me to choose between having billions of dollars, a high-ranking position and owning everything in the human world versus obtaining Dafa, I would choose Dafa without any hesitation. This is what ordinary people wouldn't understand in the ever-corrupting human society.

Master, I won't have attachments to time. In this great historical drama, I want to accomplish something. Now the drama is reaching its peak. I once was an audience who had good judgment. From now on, I want to be a good actor who can leave something worthy for people in the future.

Sentient beings, you wouldn't know how happy and fortunate I am to have a great Master. If you have a chance to talk about the topic of Falun Gong, you can think about it: Why are there so many highly educated people like me who walked into Dafa! Human beings have lots of wrong notions and concepts, e.g. regarding the existence of gods and Buddha. Many smart people even have mistaken this. You will understand this when you experience it. If you have time, I would recommend you read Falun Dafa books. You would realize like I did and you would experience many wonderful miracles that you wouldn't think were possible. If you don't experience this yourself and just take it for granted, you will miss out on too many truths that you might never have the chance to understand!

It's so fortunate to have Master! It's so fortunate to have obtained Dafa!

(Clearwisdom.net) I am 55 years old and a staff member of a school in Taiwan. Ever since I was very young, I had asthma. At age 39, my husband contracted a serious disease and could not even stand. He was confined to his bed for 10 years. Due to years of overwork, I gradually developed insomnia, Meniere's Disease, sciatica, headaches, and hypersensitive skin. After every meal, I had to think about which medicine I should take first. I often had to go to the emergency room because of sudden, nauseating dizziness, a symptom of Meniere's Disease. The suffering and stress I endured during those years were beyond description.

I used to be a very devoted Buddhist. When my husband passed away in 2002, I prayed to his spirit, "You must go to the Western Paradise and follow Buddha Amitabha's teachings. Only if you cultivate well there will you have the ability to help me." I was hoping for help in eliminating my suffering from all my diseases. A year later my husband told me in a dream, "Falun Gong is good. You must practice it!" From then on, I practiced Falun Dafa.

Zhuan Falun becomes real for me

After two weeks of practicing Falun Gong, I suddenly realized that I had forgotten to take my daily medicines. I could also sleep well without medicine. When I went to the nine-day introductory Falun Dafa lectures, I felt a Falun rotating clockwise and counter-clockwise on my body and on top of my head. The powerful rotation amazed me. I counted the rotations, and the Falun really turned nine times clockwise and nine times counter-clockwise, non-stop. When I did the sitting meditation, I felt so wonderful, just as if I were sitting in an eggshell, without a body and only existing as thought. The next day when I did the sitting meditation I experienced the same amazing condition.

Although I was past menopause, after the nine-day seminar, I had a menstrual period. On the 29^th day, I saw the Falun. I had many of the experiences written about in Zhuan Falun, which helped confirm my confidence and faith and greatly changed my ideas and eliminated some of my notions.

At one time, my asthma symptoms re-emerged. The symptoms became more severe every day. It was painful just to drink water or to take one step. I had no appetite and could not get out of the bed for a whole month. I could only sit or lie on my back. While I was enduring the pain day and night, several times I felt a warm current moving down from my head to my toes. I knew Teacher was purifying my body.

That month my son started reading Zhuan Falun. When he saw me in rosy health even though I did not sleep, he encouraged me. Before then, because of all my illnesses, I had a bad temper and lacked of patience. My daughter and son both noticed that my personality changed for the better after practicing Falun Dafa. My co-workers and neighbors all told me that I became better and younger looking everyday. They told me my face looked radiant and smooth. With a smile I told them it was because I practiced Falun Gong. The principal of my school often told me that my skin color looked healthy.

During the 10 years I took care of my husband, I was also ill, and my health insurance card was often used at the J-Card level (meaning 60 doctor visits in a year). Since I started practicing Falun Gong, I have not had to use the card. I also no longer need medicine and supplements for menopause. I previously had surgery on my knees, and the doctor said I would not be able to walk upstairs. After practicing Falun Gong, I could walk and run upstairs.

Falun Dafa requires a practitioner to consider others first. Many people thought I had a tough working environment. There were a lot of conflicts. I always remember that I am a practitioner and to discipline myself according the Fa. I treat all conflicts as opportunities for improving xinxing and getting rid of attachments. After obtaining the Fa, I worked hard at my job and helped other teachers whenever possible. I now have a different mentality and often remind myself that I do not have true forbearance if I become angry.

Since I knew that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and Jiang Zemin were brutally persecuting Falun Gong , I started to write and mail truth-clarification materials daily. Later, I made 90 phone calls to clarify the truth. I also asked people on the phone to explain the truth about the persecution to their families and friends. I installed a special phone line to broadcast the truth to people in China. Once a gentleman left a message, and I returned his call. At the beginning of the conversation, he was very negative about Falun Gong. I just told him that practitioners simply try to adhere their beliefs, obtain good health, be good people in society. and be responsible for their own lives. There was no reason that they should experience such brutal persecution. After talking for about 30 minutes, he said, "I thank you very much for calling me. I like listening to what you have to say." At the end he said, "Please remember my phone number and call me again sometime."
