(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Lingmei Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Zhang Lingmei, 85, who was arrested in Xinzhou District in October 2025, has been sentenced to a three-year prison term.

2. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Fengping Tried

Ms. Chen Fengping was arrested in 2024 for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong, and was later released on bail for one year. The local court summoned her when her bail term ended, but she didn’t go. Officers from the Wangfu Town Police Station arrested her on October 29, 2025, and took her to the Chengnan Detention Center.

During Ms. Chen’s court hearing on March 3, 2026, she testified that the detention center guards didn’t allow her to wear her prosthesis, which caused significant difficulty in her daily life. She could only crawl to the restroom. The presiding judge, Song Chunyu, accused her of not pleading guilty, and threatened to sentence her to two or two-and-a-half years in prison.

3. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. An Jingtao Tried

Ms. An Jingtao was arrested by Beijuzhai Police Station officers on December 15, 2025, and has been detained since. She was tried on March 10, 2026, and is now awaiting the verdict.

4. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Peng Qiongxian Arrested

Ms. Peng Qiongxian, who was forced to live away from home to avoid the persecution, was arrested in Huili City on March 21, 2026, by plainclothes officers.

5. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhao Yanxia Detained

Ms. Zhao Yanxia, 75, was arrested by Gongren Police Station officers on March 3, 2026. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her computer, printer, 300,000 yuan and 5,000 USD in cash. She has been detained since.

6. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Peiqin Detained

Ms. Gao Peiqin, 78, was arrested by Hedong Police Station officers on March 11, 2026. She is currently being held in a detention center.

7. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Mou Yanping Detained

Ms. Mou Yanping was arrested on March 7, 2026, and is currently being held in the Yingkou City Detention Center. Her case has been submitted to the procuratorate.

8. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Five Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Xu Genyuan was harassed at home by officers from the Luowang Police Station on March 11, 2026. A photo of the founder of Falun Gong was confiscated.

Officers from the Qijialing Police Station went to Ms. Chen Pingping’s home on March 11, 2026, but she wasn’t in. They confiscated the photo of Falun Gong’s founder and took photos of Ms. Chen’s husband.

Ms. Guo Danxia was harassed at home by two officers in mid-March 2026. They took photos of her.

Two other practitioners, Ms. Li Yulian and Ms. Tang Youwen, were also harassed in March 2026.

9. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Zhixin Harassed

Ms. Wang Zhixin was harassed by Chengguan Police Station officers on January 8, 2026. They ordered her to write statements to renounce and denounce Falun Gong. She refused to comply.

10. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Lizhu Detained

Ms. Zhou Lizhu was arrested on March 2, 2026. She is currently held in the Jinnan Road Lockup and visits by her lawyer have been denied.

11. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Court Forcibly Withdraws Cash from Ms. Zhang Fengyun and Ms. Li Mingfang’s Bank Accounts to Pay Fines

Ms. Zhang Fengyun, Ms. Li Mingfang, and Ms. Sima Jing were arrested on October 13, 2020. They were sentenced to prison by the Qiaoxi District Court, to 14 months, 15 months, and 10 months, respectively, on April 23, 2021. Each of them was also fined 5,000 yuan.

On September 5, 2025, the court forcibly withdrew 5,000 yuan from Ms. Zhang’s and Ms. Li’s bank accounts to pay the fines. Ms. Sima’s situation isn’t clear.

12. [Shanghai] Ms. Zheng Xiangjun Harassed

Ms. Zheng Xiangjun’s home was ransacked twice in early February 2026. She was also placed under residential surveillance.

13. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhu Lanmei Detained

Ms. Zhu Lanmei was arrested on February 11, 2026. She was held in the Liaocheng Detention Center and was released on bail on March 20, 2026.
