(Minghui.org) As the largest city and capital of Gyeonggi Province in South Korea, Suwon is known as the City of Filial Piety. It is also home to Samsung Electronics, the country’s largest and most profitable company. For many years, practitioners have been coming to the Suwon Train Station, one of the region’s major transportation hubs, where they tell people, especially Chinese tourists, the facts about Falun Gong so that they will stop believing the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) lies.
Practitioners demonstrate the Falun Gong exercises at Suwon Station Square every weekend. They also hand out flyers and answer people’s questions. Many Chinese tourists quit the CCP organizations after they hear the real story behind the persecution.

People talk to practitioners at Suwon Station Square about Falun Gong and the persecution.
Ms. Quan often comes to the square, chats with Chinese tourists, and asks if they would like to renounce their memberships in the CCP organizations. The tourists often asked her name. She was initially hesitant due to safety concerns for herself and her family. She later realized that only if she was open and genuine could she gain the tourists’ trust.
Ms. Quan now introduces herself and describes the physical and mental improvements she experienced after she began practicing Falun Gong. She explains why one should sever ties with the CCP, a regime that promotes class struggle, hatred, and lies at the price of harming ordinary citizens and undermining traditional values. The people she talks with are often moved and agree to withdraw from the CCP organizations.
One Chinese woman who quit the CCP organization she joined told Ms. Quan about her father. He was a CCP member and managed a retail store. The woman dreamed of her father, who was toiling away in hell—he did grueling labor and suffered unspeakable misery. Upon hearing about the dream from the woman, Ms. Quan told her this might be a hint that her father wanted to renounce his CCP membership. The woman agreed and asked Ms. Quan to help her father withdraw.
The woman soon dreamed of her father again. This time, he was dressed in sky-blue clothing, and his complexion looked healthy. He was checking his account books and thanked his daughter for helping him sever ties with the CCP.
When chatting with other Chinese tourists, Ms. Quan sometimes tells them this story and that because we vowed to devote our lives to the CCP organizations when we joined them, it’s important to sever these ties for a safe and better future. Some tourists agree and quit the CCP.
Mr. Kim often sets up posters at the booth and talks with tourists. Many Chinese are brainwashed by the CCP’s propaganda and were initially hostile.
A tall Chinese male tourist attempted to stop a female Korean practitioner from handing out flyers. The practitioner could not speak Chinese and did not know what to do. Mr. Kim asked what was wrong.
“These flyers are political and filled with lies,” the tourist said.
Mr. Kim explained, “This is South Korea, and we have the right to tell people the facts. Everything in the flyer is true. The Chinese Consulate is fully aware of what we are doing here. Had there been anything not factual, those consulate officials would have contacted local authorities long ago and had our permit revoked.”
The tourist threatened to call the police. Mr. Kim replied, “You have the freedom to do that. Everything we do here is lawful, and we have a permit.” The tourist went to a nearby police station. But he soon walked out and did not approach the practitioners again.
A resident asked why practitioners were holding these activities at a train station. Mr. Kim explained that Falun Gong’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are rooted in traditional Chinese and Asian culture. That is why the practice is well accepted in over 100 countries. In fact, the practice benefits societies, including South Korea.
Due to long-term brainwashing and brutality, however, many Chinese citizens are deprived of opportunities to learn what Falun Gong really is, and they even blindly follow the Party and mistreat practitioners. This not only hurts practitioners but also the people who do these things. That is why Chinese and Korean practitioners continue telling people what’s going on. The man understood and thanked Mr. Kim.
Local practitioner Ms. An has continued to go to the site for many years and talked about some of her experiences.
When an elderly Korean man who lived in China shouted at practitioners, Ms. An asked him why. He said that the CCP paid people money, so he could not understand why practitioners said the Party was bad.
She said, “The CCP does not do any labor. People work and produce goods—the Party does not. The CCP also exploits people and abuses human rights. If the CCP did not exist, Chinese people would have a better life like the people in South Korea do.” Convinced, the man agreed to quit the CCP organizations and shook Ms. An’s hand and thanked her.
Right after she set up the posters one day, two Chinese tourists asked her for directions. Ms. An wanted to help them, but she didn’t speak Chinese, so she called another practitioner. That practitioner not only gave them accurate directions, but she also helped them withdraw from the CCP organizations.
Many passersby have told practitioners that they respect them for their kindness and determination. Some said they were interested in learning the exercises. “It’s amazing to find this kind of serenity at a busy train station,” one man said. “I want to be part of this.”
