(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 3 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Wang Fenghua was sentenced to two years by the Yuanbaoshan District Court on December 16, 2025. She appealed to the Chifeng Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold the original verdict on January 27, 2026, without having a hearing. Ms. Wang is still held at the Yuanbaoshan District Detention Center.
Ms. Feng Juying, 94, was arrested in mid-March 2026 and detained for 10 days.
Ms. Yang, who was staying in Zhejiang Province to help her son take care of his child, was arrested on March 5, 2026. She was detained for eight days and released on March 13.
During the 2026 “Two Sessions,” the annual meetings of the People’s National Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, staff members of a neighborhood office in Beijing monitored Falun Gong practitioners in a residential community. They maintained 24-hour surveillance outside the practitioners’ buildings, with two people on duty per shift. Whenever a practitioner left home, the two people followed him or her and reported their location via cell phone.
The operation lasted 15 days from February 27 to March 13, after the “Two Sessions” concluded.
