(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Chunxiang Detained

Ms. Yu Chunxiang was arrested at home on March 4, 2026, by officers from the Xigang District Domestic Security Division. The officers ransacked her place and seized Falun Gong printouts, purses, hand bags, clothes, and other personal items. They took her and her daughter to the Beijingjie Police Station. Her daughter was released the same day. Ms. Yu was first taken to the Dalian Police Department’s Law Enforcement Case Management Center, and then transferred to the Yaojia Detention Center in the afternoon.

Ms. Yu’s daughter was ordered to go to the police station on March 5 to collect her mother’s belongings and sign the detention notification. She went but refused to sign the notification. The police thus refused to provide a copy of the notice.

2. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Mr. Ding Jianchao Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Mr. Ding Jianchao, a native of Yishui County, Shandong Province, was arrested by Jiehu Police Station officers in Jining City while distributing Falun Gong materials there on August 21, 2025. He was sentenced to four years in prison at an unknown time and has appealed.

3. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Chunhua Sentenced to Four-and a Half Years in Prison

Ms. Li Chunhua was arrested on October 25, 2025, for filing complaints against the police who tortured her for her faith, during an earlier detention weeks ago. She has been sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Wang Jing Formally Arrested

Wang Jing, gender unknown, was arrested on January 20, 2026, by officers from the Weicheng Domestic Security Division and Beiguan Police Station. Wang has since been held in the Weifang City Detention Center. A formal arrest warrant has been issued.

5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Han Yindong and Han Yuhong Detained

Mr. Han Yindong and Han Yuhong, gender unknown, were arrested at their respective homes on March 4, 2026, by officers from the Guanpian Police Station. They were given 10 days of administrative detention.

6. [Yingcheng City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Xu Jiang’e was forced to live away from home to avoid the persecution. In February 2026, officers of the Yingcheng City Police Department called her family several times, asking for her whereabouts.

Ms. Liu Jiaoya and Ms. Cheng Xinxiang were harassed around February 11, 2026. Officers from the Chengzhong Police Station went to Ms. Liu’s home and took photos of her. They then harassed Cheng and also took photos of her.

Ms. Yang Muqing was harassed at home on February 14, 2026. Officers from the Langjun Police Station tried to take photos of her, but she didn’t let them. They then tried to take photos of her family members. She stopped them again.

7. [Laiyang City, Shandong Province] 12 Practitioners Harassed or Arrested

Twelve practitioners were harassed or arrested in January and February 2026. Mr. An Lipo managed to escape from being arrested. By February 27, all detained practitioners have been released. The longest detention duration was 25 days.

8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Dianrong Released on Bail

Ms. Yu Dianrong was arrested at her child’s home on February 4, 2026, by officers from the Beihai Road Police Station. Her child’s home was ransacked. Ms. Yu was admitted to the Weifang City Detention Center the same day and was released on bail before February 17, the Chinese New Year.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Liu Hong Tried

Liu Hong, gender unknown, an accountant, was arrested on September 7, 2025, by officers from the Dongling District Police Department. The police ransacked Liu’s home and confiscated Liu’s personal properties. Liu has since been held in the Shenyang City First Detention Center, and was tried by the Hunnan District Court on March 5, 2026.
