(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

6. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Guo Yongfeng Released from Prison
7. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Ni Rujun Detained
8. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guiping Released from Prison
9. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Shunming Under Surveillance

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Li Yufen Taken to Prison

Ms. Li Yufen, 64, was sentenced to six years in prison on September 10, 2025. She was admitted to Hohhot First Women’s Prison in early February 2026.

2. [Dancheng County, Henan Province] Mr. Yang Huasong Detained

Mr. Yang Huasong was arrested on January 29, 2026, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was taken to Dancheng County Lockup for 14 days.

3. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] More Than 20 Practitioners Detained

More than 20 practitioners were arrested by officers from the Zichuan District Domestic Security Division and various local police stations on January 19 and 20, 2026. While most of them have been released, four still remain in custody. They are: Luo, Yuan, Wang, and Che.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Yu and Shi Arrested

Practitioners Yu and Shi were arrested at their respective homes on January 30, 2026. Yu has been released and Shi remains in custody.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Xiurong’s Home Ransacked

Ms. Yang Xiurong’s home was ransacked on January 13, 2026. The four officers confiscated eight Falun Gong books and some informational materials without showing their IDs.

Ms. Yang was taken to the police station by director Song. She was searched and locked in a room while one officer watched her from outside. She was released that afternoon. The Party secretary of her village was summoned to escort her home.

6. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Guo Yongfeng Released from Prison

Ms. Guo Yongfeng, 70, was arrested on February 28, 2022, and held in Sanjiang Detention Center. She was later sentenced to three years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan. She has been released in March 2025.

7. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Ni Rujun Detained

Ms. Ni Rujun, around 60 years old, was arrested in late December 2025 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She has been released from the Liaocheng City Detention Center after over a month.

8. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guiping Released from Prison

Ms. Zhang Guiping was arrested in July 2022. She was later sentenced to three and a half years in prison. She has been released on January 29, 2026.

9. [Shanghai] Mr. Liu Shunming Under Surveillance

Mr. Liu Shunming has been placed under close surveillance since February 1, 2026, one month before the annual meetings of the Chinese Communist Party: the People’s National Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
