(Minghui.org) My father likes to go to places where there are few practitioners and help them talk to people about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I’d like to share three stories of how he clarified the truth to the police.
Police Chief Acknowledges Dafa Is Good
My father clarified the truth in an area where there were very few practitioners in 2010. He was arrested and taken to the police station. Master’s new poem, “Stirred by Reflection,” had just been published, and he kept reciting it.
When they asked, he refused to tell the police where he was from. An officer said they would take him home if he told them, and he replied, “You don’t need to take me home. I came here by myself, and I’ll go back by myself.”
They questioned him well into the evening, but the police couldn’t get anything out of him. My father continued to talk to the police chief about Falun Dafa, and the man finally said, “I’ll remember Falun Dafa is good.”
My father told other practitioners that he didn’t really know how to clarify the truth, but knew it would benefit others.
The Police Chief Didn’t Stop My Father From Leaving
Another time in the 2000s, my father was taken to the police station because he talked to people about Falun Dafa. The police chief had been transferred from another location. He interrogated my father and used harsh and offensive language.
My father chuckled and told him, “You’re supposed to protect people, so you should at least project a good image and not use vulgar language. I’m older than you and might be older than your father, so you should not speak to me like this.
“I’m trying to help awaken people. We spend our own money to print materials that help people understand Dafa and the persecution. I’m telling you the truth, whether you believe it or not. Can you find people like us in China nowadays?”
The police chief continued to curse, and my father said, “I’m saying these things for your own good. I’m not staying here, I’m leaving.” He got up and left, and the police chief didn’t stop him.
The Police Chief Let My Relative Go
My father was taken to the police station again while he distributed informational materials about Falun Dafa at another location. He talked to the police chief, and the man said, “I’m not saying the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is good, and I don’t have an opinion about Falun Dafa either.”
“It is one thing whether you think the CCP is good or bad,” my father responded, “but even if you don’t know about Dafa or don’t practice it, you should know that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is a good thing. Practitioners conduct themselves according to those principles. Are you arresting practitioners because we are stealing things or doing something illegal? We just want to let people know that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
My father asked if the chief had read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He said he had.
My father continued, “Then I won’t tell you about the CCP since the book explains it in detail. Up until now, the CCP’s mass media have not mentioned the Nine Commentaries. They don’t dare to talk about it, because they don’t want to admit what the book says is true. And they can’t say it’s false because they can’t change the historical facts.
“You should know what is good and what is bad, and you have choices. But you are not taking a stand when it comes to the CCP, and you have no opinion about Falun Dafa, so you are not making any choice. Man-made and natural disasters will continue in the future. When you choose to quit the CCP and acknowledge Dafa is good, you will be protected and receive blessings.”
The police chief brightened up and offered to drive my father home. He said, “You don’t need to give me a ride. I can ride my bike home.” Then he left the police station.
