(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Mr. Ma Yongheng Detained for One Year and Counting
3. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Chonghua Detained
4. [Beijing] Mr. Li Caihua Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wen Gangyi Detained for 15 Days
6. [Shanghai] Mr. Huang Jiayuan and Mr. Chen Chen Arrested
7. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Cong’s Appeals Case Accepted by the Intermediate Court
8. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Face Indictment

1. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Song Xiaoli Arrested

Ms. Song Xiaoli was arrested on July 31, 2025, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her arrest was approved on August 16.

2. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Mr. Ma Yongheng Detained for One Year and Counting

Mr. Ma Yongheng was arrested on August 17, 2024, and has been detained ever since.

3. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Chonghua Detained

Ms. Zhu Chonghua was arrested by officers from Bayan County Domestic Security Division and the Bayan First Police Station on July 8, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in Harbin City Women’s Detention Center.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Li Caihua Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Mr. Li Caihua, 70, from the Changping District was reported to the police in November 2024 for raising awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was arrested and had his home ransacked. He was sentenced to four years at an unknown time.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wen Gangyi Detained for 15 Days

Mr. Wen Gangyi was arrested on July 22, 2025, after being reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was detained for 15 days and released.

6. [Shanghai] Mr. Huang Jiayuan and Mr. Chen Chen Arrested

Mr. Huang Jiayuan, 53, and Mr. Chen Chen, 52, from Shanghai were arrested on July 29, 2025. They are being held in Hutang Detention Center in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province.

7. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Cong’s Appeals Case Accepted by the Intermediate Court

Ms. Liu Cong was sentenced to four years and fined 20,000 yuan by the Lianshan District Court on June 19, 2025. Her appeals case was accepted by the Huludao City Intermediate Court on August 13.

8. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Face Indictment

Mr. Shen Jinxiang, Ms. Jia Yanfeng, Ms. Su Hong, Ms. Su Ying, and Mr. Yang Kui were arrested in July 2025 and have been detained ever since. They are now facing indictment after the Dongning City Domestic Security Division submitted their case to the Hailin City Procuratorate on August 19, 2025.
