(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Montreal held a rally at Place D’armes on June 29, 2025, to congratulate the 440 million people who quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. The rally also raised awareness of the true nature of the CCP and called for a joint effort to help end the persecution of Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong).

To quit the CCP, people in China can go on the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP website, and revoke their memberships in the CCP, the Young Pioneers, and/or the Youth League. This is called the “Three Withdrawals.” Thus far, over 448,500,000 Chinese people have quit the CCP organizations.

Place d’Armes is a well-known tourist attraction. The Notre-Dame Basilica, Old Saint-Sulpice Seminary, and New York Life Insurance Building are all located there. The rally drew the attention of tourists from different countries.

Practitioner Representative: "I Hope All Kind People Will Withdraw from the CCP"

A representative from the local Falun Dafa Association said in a speech, “The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party exposed that the CCP’s regime is full of violent struggle, hatred, massacres, wars, lies, and fear. Its 26-year-long bloody persecution of Falun Gong has caused countless practitioners to be maimed, killed, or even had their organs harvested while alive. This is a crime that had never taken place in human history before.

“Now the CCP’s downward trend is clear. So what practitioners say about ‘quitting the CCP for a safe future’ is true and not just a slogan. Quitting the CCP is also a righteous act to awaken human nature and reshape morality. It is an action for a sentient being to head toward the future. We earnestly hope that the Chinese people who have not withdrawn from the CCP will hurry and withdraw from it and its affiliated organizations, so they can choose a bright future for themselves. I hope all kind people are able to withdraw from the CCP for a safe future.”

Young Man from China Quits the CCP

Practitioner Ms. Li said that a young tourist from China read the display boards, and she told him about the withdrawals. He said he joined the Young Pioneers and Youth League, but had aged out already.

Ms. Li told him, “When you joined the Young Pioneers and Youth League, the oath you took said you would fight for the Party your entire life. This oath has to be abolished. The CCP persecutes kind people and conducts forced organ harvesting, so heaven will hold it accountable. Can I help you quit the Young Pioneers and Youth League with the alias ‘Yu Fu’”?

The young man immediately said, “Sure!”

Virginia, from the former Soviet Union, said, “Thank you for hosting such an event. It is important to people who have experienced communism and socialism, because communism and socialism bring disasters to people. We don’t want the same mistakes to be repeated.”

Tarjer, a student from Norway, was visiting Montreal and read information about Falun Dafa, the CCP’s persecution and forced organ harvesting. He immediately signed the petition calling to stop the persecution. He said, “It is so wrong to persecute these practitioners. Also the forced organ harvesting is such a scary thing. So I support your efforts to stop it.”

Martha, a tourist from Colombia, said after learning about the persecution, “What you’re doing here is very meaningful, because a lot of people don’t know what’s happening. Knowing these nightmare-like things that are happening in China will bring people a different perspective. This is also something important that is very worthy of attention. The CCP is committing a crime, so it should be stopped.”
