(Minghui.org) Following an event held in the center of Copenhagen on July 19, 2025, Falun Gong practitioners from Denmark and Sweden reconvened the following morning, July 20, outside the Chinese Embassy in Copenhagen. Their purpose was to peacefully protest the ongoing Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, which was launched on July 20, 1999. The practitioners urged embassy staff to distinguish between good and evil and ensure a bright future for themselves and their families.

Since 2003, Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark have held protests daily in front of the Chinese Embassy, opposing the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong. This peaceful protest has continued for over 20 years. Each year on July 20, a day marked as a dark chapter in history, even more practitioners gather here to call for an immediate end to the persecution of those who practice Falun Gong and adhere to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

Ms. Chen, a Falun Gong practitioner, called on embassy staff to discern right from wrong and ensure a bright future for themselves and their families.

Ms. Chen said, “The CCP persecutes Falun Gong practitioners and countless Falun Dafa disciples have lost their lives trying to uphold the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

“We stand here not only to mourn those Falun Gong practitioners who lost their lives for their belief, but also to tell the world the truth and stop the CCP from perpetuating this catastrophe upon the Chinese people. The persecution must stop immediately.”

Ms. Chen continued, “On May 5, 2025, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Falun Gong Protection Act. The bill requires the United States to stop the CCP’s state-sponsored organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience, and to impose sanctions on individuals in China involved in or assisting in organ harvesting, including entry restrictions, freezing of assets, and criminal penalties. It also calls for cooperation with allies, partners, and multilateral institutions to expose the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong and coordinate targeted sanctions and visa restrictions.”

After the event, Ms. Li, the head of the Danish Falun Dafa Association, told reporters that the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Denmark has never stopped from the beginning of the persecution to the present.

She said, “The CCP began persecuting Falun Gong practitioners on July 20, 1999. Over the past 26 years, millions of Falun Gong practitioners have suffered cruel persecution. Falun Gong practitioners refuse to give up their faith. They believe that following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and being a good person is not wrong.”

Ms. Li further explained, “In Denmark, there have always been cases of transnational persecution by the CCP, such as Falun Gong practitioners being denied passports and visas. Some had their visa applications denied despite their fathers being seriously ill or having passed away; and my own passport renewal was also obstructed.

“Both my family in Denmark and my relatives in China have been pressured to interfere with my freedom of belief and prevent me from practicing Falun Gong. This persecution is not only targeting Falun Gong practitioners but also their families and all Chinese people.”

Regarding the CCP’s recent secret deployment of transnational suppression operations worldwide and the escalation of attacks against Falun Gong practitioners overseas, Ms. Li stated, “In our region, the Chinese Communist regime is using Western media to launch a propaganda campaign, spreading false information targeting Falun Gong and Shen Yun. A CCP agent intimidated the theater and disrupted future collaborations between the theater and Shen Yun. However, Falun Gong practitioners remain steadfast in their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. As long as the persecution continues, so will our protests.”
