(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
The case against Ms. Duan Xiaorong was submitted to the procuratorate on July 7 or 8, 2025.
Mr. Di Jianchao, 60, was arrested at home by 18 officers around 10 a.m. on July 15, 2025. His home was ransacked.
Mr. Niu Xiaodong and his wife Ms. Sun Donghua were arrested on July 15, 2025. Their home was ransacked.
Mr. Tang Jia was arrested on July 12, 2025, for talking to the staffers at a bike repairing shop earlier that day, while having his bike repaired. The police tied him up and took him away. His family is kept in the dark about his whereabouts.
Ms. Wang Shuzhi was stopped by two officers when she returned home on June 30, 2025. They ordered her to go to the police station for an interrogation, as they received a tip that she talked to someone about Falun Gong. As she refused to go with them, they forcibly took her to the police station and then to the Sanhe Hospital for a physical exam. Despite that she was found to have dangerously high blood pressure, they still detained her for 10 days.
After Ms. Wang was released on July 10, 2025, the police took her to the Dongcheng Police Station. They took her photos, recorded her voice, and collected her fingerprint, footprint, and blood sample.
Ms. Liu Xuezhen, 76, was arrested on July 15, 2025, for talking to people about Falun Gong.
Ms. Zhang, first name unknown and in her 80s, was taking a shower when a group of officers entered her home with a master key on July 9, 2025. They thoroughly searched every room and opened every locked box she had. All her Falun Gong books were confiscated. Ms. Zhang was taken to the Jiujiang Police Station for interrogation and released later that day.
Ms. Sheng Fengling, over 60, was arrested by officers from the Hebin Road Police Station in Fushan District at 10 a.m. on July 15, 2025. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated several Falun Gong books and some flash drives. She was interrogated in the police station until 5 p.m. and released on bail.
Ms. Yang Jun, around 80, was released on May 13, 2025, after serving a prison term of unknown length.
Mr. Zhou Junqi was released on May 18, 2025, after serving a three-year term.
