(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 3 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Du Liantong was arrested at work by officers from the Jianxi District Police Department on the morning of July 8, 2025, for talking to his colleagues about Falun Gong. The police interrogated him and ransacked his place with the key they’d confiscated from him. He was given 15 days in the Luoyang City Lockup.
Ms. Wang Xiaoyun was arrested around July 12, 2025.
Ms. Xu Cuiyun was staying in her son’s home in the Xiqing District of Tianjin City to take care of her grandchild when four officers from the Zhangjiawo Town Police Station in the Xiqing District arrested her and her husband, Mr. Zhang Delin, around 7 a.m. on July 17, 2024. The police confiscated a Falun Gong book, a cell phone, and a media player. Mr. Zhang was released later in the evening. Ms. Xu was detained for 12 days in the Xiqing District Lockup.
During her detention, Ms. Xu was mistreated and humiliated. She wasn’t allowed to drink water, wear her denture, use the restroom, or take a shower. She was ordered to sit motionless for long hours, which caused injuries to her buttocks and coccyx. The guards also forced her to sleep standing up. As a result of the abuses, Ms. Xu suffered high blood pressure, anemia, and other symptoms.
Ms. Xu was ordered to report to the Zhangjiawo Town Police Station on June 11, 2025, to sign her case document. She went, only to be taken to the Xiqing District Police Department. She was asked if she still practiced Falun Gong and if she went out to talk to people about it.
The police called Ms. Xu again on July 8, 2025, and ordered her to come to the station to sign a notice. It’s not clear if she complied.
