(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event on June 22, 2025, near the Utrecht Central Station to inform the public about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution of the spiritual practice in China, including the CCP’s forced organ harvesting of detained Dafa practitioners.



Utrecht is located in the central part of the Netherlands and is the country’s fourth largest city. It’s also the capital and most populous city in the province of Utrecht. Before the Dutch Golden Age, Utrecht was the most important city in the Netherlands, famous for its ancient cathedral, university and vibrant canals, and an important center of Dutch culture and history.

Throughout the day, many passersby stopped to read the informational displays, speak with practitioners, and sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution. The activity drew the attention and support of people from all backgrounds.

Practitioners handed out flyers, answered questions, and demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises.

Many people expressed concern after learning about the CCP’s persecution and forced organ harvesting of Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience. They signed the petition and voiced their support for the practitioners’ peaceful efforts to bring an end to the atrocities.

“Shocking That the CCP Murders People for Their Organs”

Margo Pot expressed her concern after learning about the persecution. “It’s shocking that the CCP murders people for organs,” she exclaimed. “That’s unbelievable. I’ll sign the petition to stop it!
 The CCP doesn’t have the right to take someone’s life, especially for organ trafficking. This is very bizarre. I know China has many human rights violations that we don’t have here. I find this [forced organ harvesting] very scary.”

Retired Teacher Supports Freedom of Belief

Crina van Belzen, a retired English teacher from The Hague, shared her thoughts on the importance of spiritual freedom
. “I read about [Falun Dafa] in the news,” she said. “I also practice Buddhist meditation. We know Falun Dafa is forbidden in China because communism is anti-spiritual. For me, it is very important that people are free to practice religion, freedom in their thinking, and free to practice Falun Dafa. It’s not just money and becoming rich and powerful that are important—that understanding is very bad. Christianity and Buddhism also face difficulties in China. You can only practice your belief if you sign an agreement with the Chinese government to support communism. That’s very bad.”

 “This is very important! Compassion and truthfulness—that you speak the truth and not lies. I learned these values as a child. To consider others is also important for me.”
