(Minghui.org) Practitioners from Germany and France held a Falun Dafa information day event at Augustiner Platz in Freiburg, a commercial area in Germany on May 31, 2025. Through demonstrating the exercises, handing out materials and talking to people, practitioners told people about Falun Dafa and the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The weather was sunny that day and as it was the weekend, many shoppers and tourists passed through the area. The practitioners’ activities caught everyone’s attention. Many people talked to practitioners and signed the petition to show their support after learning that the teachings of Falun Dafa are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and the CCP is persecuting good people. Several people went straight to the information booth to sign the petition and explained that they had already heard of the persecution.

A Chinese woman responded warmly to a practitioner who greeted her as she walked by the information booth. When she noticed the banner with the message “Falun Dafa is great”, the woman said the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa is terrible. The practitioner asked if she knew what Falun Dafa is. She said she learned about the persecution after she left China, “My heart turned cold then because I have friends from school, teachers who practice Falun Dafa. I know all of them are good people.”

She said she initially planned to return to China to advance her career after finishing her Master's degree. When she later heard that Falun Dafa was the CCP’s top target for persecution and other ethnic groups were also suppressed, “I realized then, even if the GDP improves, the economy cannot possibly continue to progress when the political environment is so bad. Such a nation has no future. I convinced my family, extended my work contract and changed my nationality.”

The practitioner asked if she knew why the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa. She replied, “I know about it, not only me, even Westerners know. The CCP is autocratic, how can it allow its people to believe in Buddhas and God instead of it?” The practitioner said, “In 1999, when Jiang Zemin was president, out of jealousy, he started this baseless persecution.”

Pointing to the information on organ harvesting, the woman asked if this was true. The practitioner told her, “Not only is this happening, the real situation may be more severe than we realize, it could be much worse.” The woman said, “I cannot bear to read about news like that. I have never heard of any political party other than the CCP that does such things. It is way beyond humanity’s moral bottom line. I believe, God watches over the earth. Such lawless deeds cannot go on, and the CCP will be punished by heaven.”

The practitioner asked if she has quit her Party membership. She said she had already stayed away from the CCP after leaving the Party and stopped paying membership fees. She does not take part in any of the Party’s activities and has long cut ties with the regime. The practitioner explained to her the importance of quitting the CCP on the Global Quit the CCP website. She agreed without hesitation, “Yes, I will renounce my Party membership with my real name.”

Before she left, she said, “The music playing now is very familiar, it makes me think of when I was studying in university in China. A group of people played this music and did the Falun Dafa exercises. I later discovered that more people joined the group, and many people practiced Falun Dafa then.”

She told practitioners, “Keep up the good work!”
