(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhang Fengyan was arrested at home on September 7, 2024, and sentenced to 15 months on an unknown date. She has been transferred from the Weizigou Detention Center to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison in the capital city of Changchun.
Ms. Chen Jinghui and her mother were arrested in early June 2025. Their whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Wang Shuhua, 61, from the Shuangcheng District was arrested on December 23, 2024. She is due to be tried in the the Daoli District Court.
Ms. Yang Liwen from the Xinxing District has been under surveillance since April 2025. A surveillance camera was installed in front of her home by the Changfeng Police Station. Three or four people were arranged to monitor her.
Ms. Li Xiuwen was harassed at home by officers from the Chaluhe Town Police Station and town government officials on June 12, 2025. They took photos of Ms. Li and then admitted her to a brainwashing center, where she was intimidated.
The same officials also harassed other practitioners and took photos of them, including Mr. Cai Jingsheng, Mr. He Changlong, and Mr. Zhu Jingyun.
Mr. Hou Shouyu was harassed at home by officers from the Weiwan Town Police Station and township government officials on the morning of June 13, 2025. They searched his home and confiscated two desk calendars, one wall calendar, and three magazines with information about Falun Gong.
Five practitioners from the Lanshan District were arrested around May 11, 2025. They include Mr. Lyu Wenzhong and his wife Ms. Tian Hong, Ms. Xu Yuzhen, Mr. Ji Zhongsheng, and Mr. Gong Xianpeng. An insider said the practitioners are likely detained in a brainwashing center.
Ms. Zhao Junfang, Ms. Zhang Meihua, and Ms. Hao Liyan were arrested by Beiguan Police Station officers on May 28, 2025, for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong.
Ms. Hao was released around 10 p.m. that evening. Ms. Zhang was detained for 10 days and then released. Ms. Zhao is still in the Anshan City First Women’s Detention Center.
