(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners organized several events in Bucharest, Constanța, and Brașov between May 31, 2025 and June 8, 2025.

 They set up booths, demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, handed out leaflets to passers-by, and answered questions. They talked to people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa and the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience, the majority of whom are Falun Dafa practitioners.

They also collected signatures for the petitions launched by the Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) and The International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China (ETAC) to the G7 nations.



The May 31 event in Bucharest took place at the entrance to Charles de Gaulle Square in King Michael I Park. Two events took place in Constanța on June 1 and 8, and one more took place on June 7 in Brașov. On June 1, 2025, practitioners also participated in two Children’s Day events in Timiș County.

Many people expressed their solidarity with Falun Dafa practitioners by signing the petition and expressing their appreciation for the principles of Falun Dafa—Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. Some asked where they could learn the exercises.

Man Helps Spread Awareness of the Persecution

A man approached the practitioners in Constanța and told them that he received an origami lotus flower during a previous event held by practitioners. After he went home he said he couldn’t stop thinking about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa.

He placed the little flower in a prominent place in his home, so people who visited saw it and asked about it. This gives him the opportunity to tell them about Falun Dafa and the persecution. He is upset that many people still do not know what is happening in China.

Ukrainian Woman Interested in Falun Dafa

A group of women, two of whom were from Ukraine, approached the Falun Dafa booth with great interest. One of their children noticed the banners and tried to read them, so their mothers came up to the booth and talked with practitioners. They asked questions about Falun Dafa and the persecution.

“Ah, so it’s a discipline that brings the mind and body into harmony. Where are these exercises practiced?” one of the women asked. She was delighted to hear that Falun Dafa is practiced in many cities around the world, including Kiev.

The women were very eager to learn more, so a practitioner directed them to the website where they could find the Dafa books and read them for free. The children received origami lotus flowers and the book Lotus Fairy Tale, which explains the principles of Falun Dafa—Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—in a way that children can understand.

The women asked the practitioner to talk to the children and explain the practice and its benefits to them in Romanian.

Passersby Express Solidarity With Falun Dafa Practitioners

Carmen Tudor, a law student enrolled in a master’s program in Criminal Sciences, stopped at the Falun Dafa booth in Brașov with her friend, Magda Lazăr. She expressed her shock and dismay when she heard about the persecution.   



“I think it’s horrible. They are people like us, innocent, but if the communist regime doesn’t like something, it persecutes them. If we all respected Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance in our daily lives, there would be a change in everyone, and we would no longer be so mean to each other. If everyone was good, if they had those three characteristics, I wouldn’t be afraid to go out in the street anymore,” she said.

Her friend Magda Lazăr, who is a store manager, asked about the petition to end the persecution. “It seems to me that persecution has been going on for many, many years, only that it has taken many forms over time, and it is everywhere, not just in China. It is everywhere, but in other forms. And so we should at least stop letting it happen,” she said.



Magda said she believes that Falun Dafa helps raise people’s morality and that a broad effort by the international community is needed to counteract the forces that want to suppress it. 



Commenting on practitioners’ ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the persecution, she said, “It’s at least an attempt. The more people know about it and are against it, something should happen. If the truth were really told and everything were real and transparent, then a lot could change. But it’s up to each individual to make a choice.”

Magda told practitioners, “Good luck! I wish you much success, much strength, and much hope that you can change something. Don’t give up even though it’s difficult, and I hope something will change!”

At the event in Bucharest on May 31, a couple was pleasantly surprised when they learned about Falun Dafa and they listened attentively to explanations about the principles—Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—that underlie the practice, as well as its benefits. The woman said this was the first time she’d heard about Falun Dafa and she disagreed with the persecution in communist China and the forced organ harvesting.

Sharing the Values of Falun Dafa at Children’s Day Events

On June 1, 2025, practitioners participated in two Children’s Day events in two villages, which were organized by the local authorities in partnership with IREA (Romanian Institute for Adult Education).

The practitioners told the children about the grace of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and taught them how to make origami lotus flowers with these principles written on them, to give out as a message of peace. The children also received the book Lotus Fairy Tale, written by Falun Dafa practitioners for kids.

One mother in Gearmata Village expressed her happiness at participating in the Falun Dafa workshop, where her daughters made lotus flowers and received the beautiful children’s book.
