1. [Beijing] Mr. Wang Hongwei Not Allowed to Leave Home for Four Days

Mr. Wang Hongwei of Tongzhou District was under police surveillance from May 10 to 13, 2025. The Tongzhou Police Department officers locked his electric bike with a metal chain and blocked him from going to work or leaving his home.

2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Haijun Harassed

Mr. Liu Haijun, 72, of Longshan Town, was repeatedly harassed by Zhangqiu District officers in late May 2025. As he wasn’t home, the police kept calling his village committee and asking whether he had returned.

3. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Mr. Luo Liteng Released After Serving Four Years in Prison

Mr. Luo Liteng was released on May 20, 2025, after completing a four-years term in Fanjiatai Prison.
