(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang] Mr. Wen Jinglin Arrested
3. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiangling and Ms. Liu Qiuxia Sentenced in Prison
4. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Haitao Arrested
5. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Cheng’e and Ms. Jing Cuixiang Harassed
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tan Arrested
7. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
8. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Bi and His Wife Arrested

1. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Mingxia Admitted to Prison

Ms. Li Mingxia was arrested on April 19, 2024, and sentenced to five years with a 20,000-yuan fine by the Zhucheng City Court on January 23, 2025. She appealed with the Zhucheng City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict on March 20, 2025. She was transferred from the Weifang City Detention Center to the Shandong Province Women’s Prison in Jinan City on April 22, 2025.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang] Mr. Wen Jinglin Arrested

Mr. Wen Jinglin from Ningyuan Town of Bin County was arrested at home by officers from the Bin County Police Department on May 8, 2025. His current whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiangling and Ms. Liu Qiuxia Sentenced in Prison

Ms. Wang Xiangling and Ms. Liu Qiuxia, both from Juye County, were sentenced to one year, and one and a half years, respectively, by the Yuncheng County Court on July 11, 2024. They appealed to the Heze City Court, which ruled to uphold their original sentences without having a hearing.

4. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Haitao Arrested

Mr. Liu Haitao’s home was ransacked in mid-May 2025 by local officers. Some of his personal belongings were confiscated. He was taken to the county police department and his current whereabouts aren’t clear.

5. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Cheng’e and Ms. Jing Cuixiang Harassed

Ms. Liu Cheng’e was harassed at home in Guojiafang Village, Chaigoubao Town, Huai’an County, on the morning of April 25, 2025. She was questioned whether she still practiced Falun Gong. Some of her personal belongings were confiscated.

Ms. Jing Cuixiang was also harassed at home in Dongyanghe Village, Chaigoubao Town, by the same people on the same day. They confiscated some wall decorations with information about Falun Gong.

6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tan Arrested

Ms. Tan, an elderly practitioner, was arrested at home by nine officers from the Zhongchang Police Station on the morning of April 21, 2025. The police confiscated some Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder. Ms. Tan was taken to the police station for interrogation and released in the evening. She was ordered to go to the police station the next day, which she refused.

7. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested

Seven practitioners, including Ms. Chen Fengjuan, Ms. Jin Cuixiang, Mr. Liu Guohui, Li, Meng, Bo, and Dai, were arrested on the morning of April 21, 2025.

Ms. Chen and Li were released on the same day. Mr. Liu was released the next day due to his health condition. Jin is currently detained in the Yingkou City Detention Center. The remaining three practitioners, including Meng, Dai, and Bo, were detained for 15 days and released on May 6, 2025.

8. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Mr. Bi and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Bi and his wife from Huajia Township were arrested at home by officers from the Changchun City Police Department on April 23, 2025. Their home was ransacked, and their Falun Gong books were confiscated. They have been detained since.
