(Minghui.org) I had chills all over when I woke up at three one morning. My hands and feet were cold, and I thought it was because the temperature dropped during the night.
I normally feel warm after I do the first exercise, but I was still cold. I could barely stand still when I did the second exercise. Something was wrong because this rarely happened in my twenty some years of cultivation.
I attended my friend’s child’s wedding yesterday. Was I exposed to something? What happened?
My friend came from out of town to prepare for his child’s wedding. He had symptoms of COVID the day he came. He coughed so hard he couldn’t talk. His family had the same symptoms and were on medication.
The day before the wedding, we drove together to pick up friends and chatted in the car. We went to the bathhouse, the sauna, and we shook hands and hugged. Did I get the virus from him? My abdomen hurt, I couldn’t stand still, and I went to the restroom.
I continued to do the second exercise afterwards. My wife, a practitioner, wasn’t feeling well and lay on the couch. I felt cold and nauseous, and my stomach hurt again, so I went to the restroom. I hadn’t experienced anything like this since I became a practitioner. I thought, “I’m looking outward. I should search inward!”
I found three attachments: fear, showing off, and zealotry.
I was “afraid” my friend had the virus and passed it to me. After the wedding, a practitioner came to my house to study the Fa. I “showed off” my appliances, and I wanted to hear compliments. I was “very happy” that we studied three lectures in Zhuan Falun, sent forth righteous thoughts at midnight, and did the exercises the next morning, something my wife and I had difficulty doing. But weren’t we suppose to do this? Why was I “happy” about it?
After discovering my attachments, the chills, dizziness, and nauseous feeling disappeared when I did the second exercise. Searching inward can truly get rid of tribulations!
