(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Zhuoqing, 52, was arrested at home on August 26, 2025, by officers from the Yuhong Domestic Security Division and Beiling Police Station, and her home was ransacked. The Xinmin City Procuratorate issued a formal arrest warrant for her on September 10. She was scheduled to appear in the Xinmin City Court on December 17, 2025.
Ms. Zhou Fenglan, 76, was arrested in March 2024. She was denied admission to the detention facility due to her poor health. Due to mental distress from continued police harassment after she was released, she suffered stroke symptoms in early 2025. Despite her physical condition, the Dadong District Court tried her on November 25, 2025, and sentenced her to three years in prison with a 20,000-yuan fine. It’s not clear whether she has been taken into custody to serve time.
Mr. Liu Yaping of Pinggu District was arrested by Daxingzhuang Police Station officers on December 8, 2025. He is being held in the Pinggu District Police Law Enforcement Case Center.
Ms. Lin Hua got a harassment call from Wangcheng Police Station on the morning of December 5, 2025. The caller ordered her to report to the police station and sign a police document. It’s not clear whether she complied.
Ms. Zhang Yuemei and Ms. Yu Hongzhi were scheduled to appear in the Pingdu City Court on December 12, 2025. They were previously tried on November 12, 2025.
Several practitioners were arrested and had their home ransacked in early December 2025. Among them, Ms. Shao, Ms. Zheng, and Ms. Ye were detained for five to seven days. All have since been released.
Ms. Zuo Xuanxin and Ms. Yang Guihong were arrested on April 14, 2025, and have been held in the Huaihua City Detention Center. They were tried by the Zhijiang County Court on October 24. Ms. Zuo was represented by a court-appointed lawyer, and Ms. Yang acted as her own lawyer. They are now awaiting the verdicts.
Mr. Yao Wenjiang was arrested by officers from the Laiyuan County Domestic Security Division in early December 2025. He was detained for 15 days and has been released.
Ms. Teng Qinhua was sentenced to a three-year prison term in 2023 and has been allowed to serve time at home. When she reported to the Laizhou City Police Department as required on December 4, 2025, the police searched her when she gave an officer a flash drive with information about Falun Gong. They arrested her after finding Falun Gong materials on her person, and took her to Yantai City for detention.
Ms. Yin Ali, 76, was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison by the Chaoyang Court in 2024. Her husband, who became incapacitated due to the mental distress of her past persecution, is now left to fend for himself.
Ms. Wu Xi of the Fangzheng Forest Bureau was arrested at a street market by Domestic Security Division officers on December 4, 2025. He is being held in Harbin City.
Ms. Xu Meihua was arrested by a plainclothes officer when she was distributing Falun Gong desk calendars in October 2025. She was released that night.
Ms. Zhao Guojun and Zhang Junqing, gender unknown, both from Wuqing District, were arrested by Quanxing Road Police Station officers on December 8, 2025. They are being held in the Wuqing Detention Center.
Ms. Hu Guilan, 73, was arrested on November 12, 2025 and admitted to Zhengzhou City Third Detention Center.
Ms. Ma Feiqin was arrested by officers from the Wanquan Town Police Station on December 6, 2025. Her home was ransacked that night. She is being held in the Zhangjiakou Lockup.
Ms. Xie Chengyu was released from Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on November 21, 2025, after completing a prison term of three years and two months.
Mr. Xu Donggan was arrested by Zhangzhuang Police Station officers on November 30, 2025, after someone reported him for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to the Yandu Police Department Law Enforcement Case Center and later transferred to a detention center.
Mr. Wang Zicheng of Pinggu District was released on December 7, 2025, after serving a 5.5-year term.
