Parade in Seoul Celebrates 450 Million Chinese People Quitting the CCP Organizations

Nov. 9, 2025 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in South Korea

(Minghui.org) The South Korean Falun Dafa Association held a parade at Guro-dong and Daerim-dong, the largest Chinese community in Seoul, South Korea, on November 2, 2025. They celebrated the 450 million Chinese people who’ve quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations.

Before the parade, Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners demonstrated the exercises in front of the Gaoda Gulao Hospital.

Withdrawal Movement is Spiritual Awakening for Freedom

Dr. Woo Sili, secretary-general of the South Korean Falun Dafa Association, read a statement before the parade.

Dr. Woo Sili read a statement from the South Korean Falun Dafa Association before the parade.

He said, “Today, we gather in the Chinese community in Seoul to commemorate a historic moment—celebrating 450 million Chinese people quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations. The withdrawal movement is not a political statement but a moral and conscience choice. It is a spiritual awakening movement for freedom.”

The statement also introduced Falun Gong and the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Practitioners follow the principles to improve character, and practice five exercises for better health.

The statement pointed out that Jiang Zemin, former head of the CCP, launched the persecution of Falun Gong out of jealousy on July 20, 1999. Millions of Falun Gong practitioners were arrested, tortured, forced to do slave labor, and even subjected to state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting. Falun Gong practitioners do not compromise but protest in non-violent ways and uphold their steadfast belief.

The statement stated that the U.S. Congress, European Parliament, and many other international organizations have passed resolutions calling for an end to the persecution. In 2024 and 2025, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Falun Gong Protection Act to sanction the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. This bill is waiting for the Senate to pass.

The statement also pointed out the CCP attempts to extend the persecution across the world via diplomatic coercion, infiltration, and propaganda. The CCP is not a regular political party, but a state terrorist organization. It uses people as a pretext, and under the name of a country to extend its violence and lies. It is a transnational crime gang.

At the end, the statement said that along with more and more Chinese people quitting the CCP organizations, the CCP will definitely disintegrate and the persecution will end. Let’s try our best to rescue those practitioners, Uyghurs, Tibetans, and North Korean defectors facing the danger of forced organ harvesting.

Residents Express Support for Withdrawal Movement

The parade was led by the Tian Guo Marching Band, which played, “Falun Dafa is Good,” followed by practitioners carrying banners with information about the withdrawal movement, practitioners carrying banners condemning the CCP’s persecution, and the group which introduced Falun Dafa.

Practitioners paraded at Guro-dong and Daerim-dong, the largest Chinese community in Seoul, South Korea, on November 2.

Many Chinese people were drawn by the parade and took pictures and videos. A Chinese man shouted, “Falun Dafa is good.”

Lee Yang-sun, a Korean who runs a suit store, is 71 years old. He stepped out of his shop to take a look when he heard the Tian Guo Marching Band performance. He said, “This is the first time I’ve heard about the withdrawal movement and the first time I’ve seen such an event. I think the CCP should disappear.” He continued, “There are many Chinese people here. They enjoy freedom and democracy in South Korea. Communist slogans sound good, and claim everything is shared, but in reality, it exploits innocent people. One can see the outcome of the former Soviet Union. Communism does not work.”

Lin Junshuo, a 19-year-old student, accepted a flyer and heard that 450 million Chinese people have quit the CCP organizations. He said, “I hope more Chinese people can live happily in freedom and democracy like South Koreans.”

Chinese People Quit the CCP

Some Chinese people accepted flyers and read them when the parade passed by, and some read the flyers in front of restaurants.

A Chinese YouTuber who wished to remain anonymous said, “More and more Chinese people now know the nature of the CCP after experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic. Although I don’t know when the CCP will disintegrate, quitting the CCP organizations is a strong blow to the CCP. I believe this has a big impact.” He added, “The CCP not only represses Chinese people but also people across the world. The CCP is behind many issues. I hope more Chinese people know the facts and stay away from the CCP.”

Falun Gong practitioner Ha Young-ok said, “Currently, 500-1200 Chinese people in the Daerim-dong area quit the CCP organizations every month.”

She recalled, “When we initially set up the service center for quitting the CCP, some Chinese people thought we were against China, and harassed us. Later they saw Falun Gong practitioners cleaning the streets and clarifying the truth during the holidays, and many were touched. Some Chinese people even helped stop those who abused us, and told them, ‘Don’t curse Falun Gong. Falun Gong is good.’”

Jor Yongjan, director of the South Korean branch of the Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP, said, “Our parade is not out of hatred. Instead we wholeheartedly hope that Chinese people break from the CCP and obtain true happiness and peace.”

Chinese Attitudes Toward Falun Gong Has Chnaged

Falun Gong practitioners distributed Minghui Weekly in both Chinese and Korean in the Chinese community on parade day.

A restaurant owner asked for more information materials to share with his employees and customers. A Korean billiards hall owner asked for more newspapers to share with Chinese customers.

A Chinese man initially declined a flyer but returned to ask for it after hearing the Tian Guo Marching Band perform and watching the parade. A South Korean practitioner offered a flyer to an older Chinese woman, who seemed to be waiting for it, and accepted it warmly. The practitioner asked a Chinese practitioner to explain more to the woman, who agreed to quit the CCP organizations on the spot.

Many young Chinese waitresses asked for the informational materials and said they wanted to read them. One woman accepted a flyer and agreed to quit the CCP organizations right away. She asked the practitioner, “How can I help?” The practitioner clarified the truth further to her.
