(Minghui.org) The current chaos and turmoil of the world reflects the true state of the Dharma-ending age. It is difficult for people not to be confused and harmed by it. Some even go down a path of no return. I often wonder what good deeds I did to have accumulated enough virtue in my past lives that Master chose me to become a Dafa disciple, whom even gods and Buddhas envy. Sometimes I want to cry. There is nothing that makes me feel more lucky. I also feel embarrassed because I haven’t done enough to be worthy of Master’s salvation.

I have been working hard as a professional hairdresser for decades. In the process, I encountered all kinds of people, and it’s not always easy to maintain my xinxing. Fortunately, I started cultivating Falun Dafa close to its public introduction. I strictly adhere to the Fa and strive to be a good person. I treat my customers like family and help them save money.

I never encourage them to get perms or dyes that they don’t need. If a customer has ruined her hair at another salon, I never badmouth my competitors to add fuel to the fire. I always try my best to fix the problem and advise the customer to let the anger go. Customers praise me for being upright. I tell them that we should all live by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

The salon is like a small society. I set a goal to utilize this small place to promote Dafa. I cultivate myself well and the righteous field inspires all those around me to use their good nature. Below are some examples.

My area has many mines, which brings a lot of people to come to work here. Once, a few people from the south came in for a haircut. One man asked me if there were any prostitutes around. I told them that working away from home was not easy, and that their wives and children were eagerly waiting for them to bring money home. Furthermore, if they contracted diseases, the treatment would be expensive. My sincerity touched them and they promised not to do such things.

Another man asked me to find some prostitutes in my hometown, for him to operate a hotel and offer special services. I advised him against it. I told him about a little boy I knew whose mother hired many prostitutes and made a lot of money. But as the boy reached his teens, he was so weak that he couldn’t pick up his school bag from the ground. Wasn’t that karmic retribution?

I also told him about my neighbor who ran a bathhouse and also offered special services. He made a lot of money, but he met with karmic retribution. His wife gave birth to a child with mental health disorders. The man was shocked and gave up on the idea of opening such a hotel. He respected me even more and was always very friendly.

Some office workers or leaders came into my salon too. They were exhausted, and the pressures of work made them miserable. I felt sorry for them from the bottom of my heart. I felt it was not easy for them. They were just blinded by fame and fortune but I could see they all had a kind side and they liked to chat with me.

Some people expressed sympathy when I talked about the persecution of Falun Dafa. I told them that good is rewarded and evil will meet with retribution, which is a universal principle. Many people agreed. When I encountered people who were not willing to listen to the truth about Dafa, I tried my best to inspire their compassion, since when people are kind, they naturally won’t reject Dafa.

One person said, “You should keep doing this. Listening to you makes me feel enlightened.” I was happy hearing this. People nowadays are very depressed and have serious mental health issues. Jobs are scarce and money is hard to come by. People are worried. I feel that I have the responsibility to guide them back to tradition and onto the right path.

In fact, most of my customers know I practice Falun Dafa. They say that Dafa is miraculous and praise me for maintaining the same level of integrity for over 20 years. When people saw my hand-copiedZhuan Falun, many were amazed and praised my handwriting. A retired bureau chief praised me when he saw the stack of Dafa books I had hand-copied. He jokingly said, “Your Master will give you a score of 100 if he sees it!” I felt warm, but also felt ashamed for not doing enough.

As Master’s disciple, although I have not done well, my personal experiences over the years have made me realize that as long as a Dafa disciple walks the right path, most people around him will follow suit, even directly influencing everything about him or her. In other words, every thought and action of yours affects those around you.

A woman in her 50s with a teenage boy came to my salon. She looked distressed, anxious and angry. The child beside her also seemed uncomfortable. I asked her what was wrong. She told me that she and her husband were incompatible and often argued. I spoke to the woman gently for a long time, and she finally calmed down and the child also relaxed. The woman realized that she was partly wrong as well.

Now she has been having her hair cut at my place for about a year. She complained less and less about her husband each time, and now has stopped completely and instead has become happy. Once she said, “Your husband must have done incredibly good deeds in his past life to marry you in this lifetime. I need to learn from you.”

An older woman came to get a haircut. She said she had insomnia for a long time and found it strange that she felt sleepy at my place. I knew it was because the presence of Falun Dafa practitioners made her feel comfortable. There are quite a few such examples.

Of course, there are also those who felt uncomfortable. A female customer came for a haircut. Close to the end, she cried and laughed and collapsed suddenly. Her husband took her home. She came again six months later, and the same thing happened, so I took her home.

Her house was full of incense burners. I realized what was going on. She told me the situation never happened in other places she went. I said it was because the things she worshiped didn’t want her to come to my place, as they couldn’t stand the righteous field. I advised her not to worship those low-level spirits.

Another woman yawned and cried every time she came to my place, which happened several times. She angrily said she would never come to me for a haircut again. Our Fa is so righteous; those low-level spirits simply cannot bear it.

Mobile phones nowadays are like a malignant tumor, constantly devouring people, which is especially true among Chinese. From young children to elderly people in their 80s or 90s, it’s difficult to escape this technology. Some practitioners are also affected. I almost fell into the trap myself for a while, but with Master and Dafa in my heart, I was able to break my phone addiction quickly.

Many of my customers envied me for breaking free from the addiction. They also expressed their desire to learn from me. I discussed with them the influence of these videos: Some young people don’t get married, and if they do, they don’t want to have children, and some older women even buy sperm to become single mothers. Conversely, early romantic relationships have become a big issue, with teenagers getting pregnant. Many people also sensed the abnormal cosmic phenomena. They were angry with the distorted behavior of people today. Whenever this happened, I told them that it was all due to atheism, and we should all abandon atheism.

In this chaotic world, I find many customers are becoming kinder and able to discern right from wrong. I’m happy for them. I often think, if Dafa disciples could all come out and interact with people, guide them back to tradition and assimilate to Dafa, wouldn’t evil have nowhere to go? Wouldn’t this world become better and better? It is the responsibility of every Dafa disciple to firmly uphold righteous thoughts, listen to Master’s words, help save more people, and become a pure lotus in this turbid world.
