(Minghui.org) At their march in Toronto on September 28, 2025, practitioners condemned the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa in China and called on people to help stop the CCP’s transnational repression outside China.

The march started at Christie Pits Park, proceeded to Bloor Street, then to St. George Street, and on to the Chinese Consulate.

Falun Dafa practitioners held a march in Toronto to expose the CCP’s persecution.

Local Residents: The Persecution of Faith and Freedom of Speech Is Wrong

William said the persecution of belief is wrong.

A practitioner handed William, who lives in the area, a flyer and told him that Falun Dafa is a spiritual practice that follows the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It includes five exercises and promotes physical and mental health.

William said, “Kindness is something the world is missing. It’s very important, and it resonates with me. If everyone was kind to one another, many conflicts would be avoided.” He said he admired practitioners’ perseverance in opposing the persecution, “Persecution of freedom of belief and expression is wrong. People should have the right to express their opinions and feelings. This is what distinguishes humans from animals.”

Lucy and her husband Buffery talked with a practitioner for long time and learned about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s transnational repression of practitioners in Canada.

Lucy said, “We’re glad that you’re holding this march and speaking up for Canadians. I know the CCP interferes with the Canadian government and its people, but I didn’t expect it to start suppressing Canadians. This is terrible and wrong. The Canadian government should learn more about what evil the CCP is doing to Canadians.”

Fatima calls on the Canadian government to stop the CCP’s transnational repression

Fatima happened to be in the area as the parade was about to start. She talked with a practitioner and learned about the persecution. She said she was completely opposed to the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting from practitioners and its transnational repression. “Canada is a free country. Things that threaten Canadian citizens must not happen.” She said the CCP threatens Shen Yun Performing Arts performances because it exposes the CCP’s persecution. She said she would sign a petition calling on the Canadian government to stop the CCP’s transnational repression.

Julia, a retired caregiver, was stunned to learn about the persecution and that the CCP was carrying out transnational repression on Canadian soil. “This is terrible,” she said. “I’m glad there are police protecting you at this parade.” She said she would contact her local MP to raise awareness and stop the CCP’s transnational repression.

New Practitioner Hopes the Persecution Ends Soon

Ryan, who lives in Mississauga, said he began practicing Falun Dafa two weeks ago, “I feel very peaceful. I enjoy it and I’ll continue.” He added that he’s still learning the exercises and is grateful for practitioners’ help. “I felt weak over the past few months, and practicing has refreshed me. I hope to practice more. Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are a sacred unity. They help you understand and awaken, view others with a positive attitude, and support each other.”

As a new practitioner, Ryan is appalled by the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. He said, “This is terrible. I hope we can stop this persecution. That way, we can be freer to do what we want, especially things like this that boost our energy and improve our spiritual health.”
