1. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Family Members Face Trial

Ms. Liu Meili, her husband Mr. An Chaoxu and mother Ms. Yu Shikun, of Dajian’an Village, Wangdu County, were scheduled to appear in Mentougou District Court in Beijing at 2 p.m. on January 24, 2025.

2. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Fengyu Detained

Ms. Zhang Fengyu was arrested on December 19, 2024. She is being held in the Macheng City Second Detention Center.

3. [Yumen City, Gansu Province] Ms. Bai Xianglan Dies in Early 2024

Ms. Bai Xianglan, around 83 and of Yumen City, Gansu Province, was admitted to the Gansu Province Women’s Prison in 2020 to serve a four-year term. She frequently visited the doctor for asthma. She died in the prison in early 2024. She was previously given a five-year term in 2012.
