(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Wenguo Detained
2. [Chongqing] Ms. Lin Zhongying Arrested; Ms. Zhong Tingju Detained
3. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Sun Jinglei Detained
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Han Shuangshuang Detained
6. [Tianjin] Four Practitioners Harassed

1. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Wenguo Detained

Ms. Wang Wenguo, 62, from the Baodi District was arrested on January 5, 2025. Several officers ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books and other items. She was put on criminal detention.

2. [Chongqing] Ms. Lin Zhongying Arrested; Ms. Zhong Tingju Detained

Ms. Lin Zhongying of the Ba’nan District was followed and arrested by Jiangbei District Domestic Security Division officers on January 3, 2025.

Ms. Zhong Tingju was arrested at home by Kaizhou District police in early December 2024. The officer seized her computer, printer, Falun Gong books, and other items. Her whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Wang, first name and gender unknown; Li Ping, gender unknown; and a third practitioner whose name is unknown were arrested in Daye City by Daye City’s Liurenba Police Station officers in early January 2025. They are being held in the Daye Detention Center.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Sun Jinglei Detained

Sun Jinglei of the Fengrun District, gender unknown, and their mother were arrested by Changzhuang Township Police Station officers on the morning of January 4, 2025, when they were talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong at the Changzhuang Street Market. The mother was released the same day. Sun was detained for five days.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Han Shuangshuang Detained

Han Shuangshuang, gender unknown, was arrested on December 21, 2024, and detained for 15 days in the Yaziquan Detention Center. Han was released on January 5, 2025.

6. [Tianjin] Four Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Li Wenfang, Ms. Zhang Huizhen, Ms. Zheng Yujuan, and Zhang Feng, gender unknown, were harassed by officers from Bohai Oilfield’s Nanjiang Police Station on the evening of January 1, 2025. The officers ordered them to renounce Falun Gong, but they refused to.
