Thailand: Candlelight Vigil and Rally Commemorate 25th Anniversary of Peaceful Resistance to the Persecution

July 21, 2024 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in Thailand

(Minghui.org) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Gong 25 years ago, on July 20, 1999. To commemorate this sad anniversary, Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand held a rally and candlelight vigil in a park in Nakhon Pathom, drawing attention to, and calling on people to help end these egregious human rights violations.

Countless Falun Gong practitioners in China have been illegally detained, tortured, forced into brainwashing centers, labor camps, prisons, and psychiatric hospitals over the past 25 years. The most appalling of the CCP’s crimes is harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience.

Falun Gong practitioners hold a candlelight vigil in Nakhon Pathom to mourn fellow practitioners in China who died due to the CCP’s persecution.

Practitioners in Thailand call for a stop to the CCP’s persecution.

Ms. Yu, who recently moved to Thailand from China, wept when she talked about her experience in a Chinese prison. “A practitioner named Sun was in my cell. She was brutally beaten to death. In the last moment of her life, she asked if other practitioners were safe. I cried for three days.”

Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand call on the world’s people to pay attention to the CCP’s persecution and help stop this humanitarian crisis.
