(Minghui.org) Before I started cultivating Falun Dafa in 1998, I was known to be ill-tempered and arrogant. Having grown up under the influence of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) indoctrination policy I had a strong fighting mentality and had even beaten up my family members. At the time I also suffered from more than 20 diseases.
Falun Dafa has completely changed me. I follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance which guide me throughout life. I have turned into a healthy and compassionate person. My family members saw the greatness of Falun Dafa given my changes. Therefore, I would like to recount some things my family has experienced.
After my granddaughter was born in 2005, she couldn’t stop crying. We didn’t know what happened, so we took her to see a pediatrician when she was three months old. She was diagnosed with rickets and severe calcium deficiency. Her arms and legs were deformed. She drooled all the time. The whole back of her head was soft. The pediatrician predicted that she wouldn’t be able to live for too long. At age five, she hadn’t grown all her teeth, and her fontanelle hadn’t closed.
It was so exhausting to take care of my granddaughter and two nannies quit, one after the other. I had to take care of the baby myself. I played recordings of Master’s lectures to my granddaughter. Within a short time, her fontanelle closed. Her arms and legs became straight, and she stopped crying all the time. I taught her some poems written by Master Li. When she was able to walk steadily, I took her with me to distribute truth clarification fliers and amulets. She was happy to help and even helped me tell people the facts about Falun Dafa.
My granddaughter was blessed by Falun Dafa. She became a great writer in school. Her teacher often used her compositions as exemplars. She was admitted to a key high school in our region, and to a prestigious university in Beijing last year. She is 1.7 meters tall and healthy. It is beyond anyone’s imagination that a born deformed baby could grow into a tall college student.
One day a few years ago, my sister-in-law hemorrhaged at her workplace. She was rushed to a hospital and was diagnosed with uterine cancer. It had spread to other parts of her body. I told my sister-in-law, “Only Falun Dafa and Master can save you. Repeat in your mind sincerely the auspices phrases, “Falun Dafa is great! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great!” She repeated these phrases again and again every day. She did well during her surgery and was able to return to work after a month.
My sister-in-law had some discomfort again earlier this year. She went through medical examinations and was diagnosed with lung cancer. Her X-ray was sent to a specialist in Beijing, who said it wasn’t treatable. Her local doctor said she might have only two months to live. I told my sister-in-law the facts about Falun Dafa. She was convinced that Dafa would be able to save her. Since then, she started watching video recordings of Master’s lectures.
New hope arose at her most desperate time. Her condition has improved since she started practicing Falun Dafa. We had a family gathering to celebrate her improvement. My sister-in-law told everyone at the gathering, “First of all, I should thank Master for my quick improvement! I’m so grateful to Falun Dafa and Dafa practitioners!” Tears covered her face. Everyone was deeply touched and praised Falun Dafa!
My sister-in-law tells everyone she meets about her experience of being saved by Falun Dafa. She has become a living exemplar of Falun Dafa’s benefits.
My older sister is a vegetable farmer. She broke her leg one day. My brother and sister-in-law went to see her and took DVDs of Master’s lectures to her. My sister-in-law told my older sister, “Watch the lectures every day, and you will become better and better.” She strictly followed my sister-in-law’s instructions and watched Master’s lectures every day.
Twenty days later, her husband forgot to turn off the tape recorder. My older sister got off the bed and turned it off without thinking. She suddenly realized that she was able to walk again. Excited, she thanked Falun Dafa and Master. Ever since then, she made up her mind to cultivate herself according to Falun Dafa. Her third eye opened soon. She saw rotating Falun (law wheels) all over her house, which convinced her about the preciousness of Dafa.
My older sister couldn’t sit in full lotus position when she started learning the Falun Dafa meditation. She asked Master’s for help, “Master, I’m 78 and have been farming all my life. My legs are too stiff to cross. Please help me cross my legs!” After saying these words, she was able to sit in full lotus position right away. I asked her one day, “How long can you sit with both legs crossed?” She replied, “As long as the music plays. I won’t put them down in the middle no matter how much it hurts.”
My older sister feels that every day is happy and fulfilled. Besides her farming work, she concentrates well on studying the Fa and doing the exercises.
Other members of my family have also benefited from Falun Dafa. My second brother-in-law used to be possessed by a snake’s spirit. He agreed that Falun Dafa was great when I clarified the truth about Dafa to him. Whenever he saw any Falun Dafa banners on the ground, he hung them back up. Whenever he saw any Falun Dafa fliers on the ground, he picked them up and took them to the closest households. Before he knew it, the possessing spirit was gone. His health got better and better. Though in his 70s, he is glowing with health and still able to work.
My husband’s younger brother has been supportive since the first day I started cultivating myself. He has also benefited a lot from Falun Dafa. My fourth brother-in-law always shouted, “Falun Dafa is great” as soon as he saw me. All my relatives believe in Falun Dafa and enjoy listening to truth-clarification audio programs.
