(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners and local councilors held a rally in front of the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo on September 5, 2023. They called for the release of Ding Yuande, a Falun Gong practitioner who was arrested by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in May of this year. They also urged the CCP to immediately end the persecution.

During the event, practitioners held banners with messages calling for an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners Ding Yuande and Ma Ruimei (the parents of Ding Lebin, who lives in Germany). Representative Maruyama came to event, greeted practitioners, and expressed his support and encouragement.
City Councilor: Join the Effort to End the Persecution

Seiji Mizushima, who campaigns to stop the genocide in China, said, “An unbelievable situation is happening in China. We also need to speak out. It is necessary for the whole world to work together to stop these human rights violations. I hope to work with Falun Gong practitioners in China and join the effort to end the persecution.”

“[The Chinese Communist Party] illegally detains Falun Gong practitioners regardless of age or gender,” said Noboru Kasama, former member of the Ayase City Council. “This is outrageous. What’s more, some of them are elderly, which is absolutely intolerable. We hope that the Chinese Communist Party will stop illegally abducting, detaining, and harvesting organs from Falun Gong practitioners.”

“Falun Gong practitioners have endured brutal persecution for more than 20 years,” said Hiroaki Maruyama, representative of the SMG network. “It is unbelievable how many practitioners have been illegally imprisoned and their human rights have been violated. I will resolutely speak out for them.
“[The CCP’s live organ harvesting] is not something humans should do. It’s worse than animals. I heard that the Falun Gong practitioner in Germany is going everywhere, trying to rescue his parents. I was touched by his filial piety and I wanted to do my part.”

A statement in Japanese from the National Association of Local Councilors of the SMG network to the head of the CCP Xi Jinping
The SMG Network (Stop Medical Genocide—Society for the Study of Organ Transplantation in China) statement read: “According to an investigation by the International Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), in May 2023, Zhang Hui, the former Secretary of the CCP Committee in Rizhao City, Shandong Province, and Li Gang, the Director of Police Department in Rizhao City ordered the arrest of more than 70 Falun Gong practitioners in Rizhao City, Shandong Province.
“Mr. Ding Yuande and his wife Ms. Ma Ruimei were among them. Ms. Ma was later released on ‘bail pending trial.’ On July 20, the 24th year of the persecution of Falun Gong, the Donggang District Police Department of Rizhao City issued a formal arrest of Ding Yuande. His family members are not allowed to see him.
“Their son, Mr. Ding Lebin, who lives in Germany, calls on the international community to stop the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of his father and all Falun Gong practitioners in China.
“According to an investigation by Canadian human rights lawyer Mr. David Matas, Falun Gong practitioners illegally imprisoned in China are subjected to organ harvesting. It has been confirmed that there are between 60,000 and 100,000 illegal organ transplants every year.”
The statement asks the CCP to immediately stop the suppression, detention, and abuse of Falun Gong practitioners (who account for more than half of the victims) and all minorities imprisoned in China; safeguard the human rights of minorities; release all those illegally detained in large-scale re-education camps or institutions; stop forced organ harvesting; stop persecuting Mr. Ding Lebin’s father; and release Mr. Ding Yuande unconditionally.
The statement concluded: “Will you choose to continue the most evil genocide in human history, leading to the collapse of the country, or will you choose to respect human rights and become a great country respected by everyone?”
