1. [Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Xu Qinghua Faces Trial

Mr. Xu Qinghua from Fuxin Mongol Autonomous County, Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, was arrested by officers from the Wujiang District Police Department, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, on July 13, 2022, for mailing truth-clarification materials. It was reported that Mr. Xu will be tried in a local court at 1:30 p.m. on August 2.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Hu Shuqing Arrested

Hu Shuqing (gender unknown) was arrested by officers from the Guchuan Police Station in Longtan District. Hu’s home was ransacked. Hu’s whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Xuebin and Wife Ms. Wang Min Arrested

Mr. Sun Xuebin and his wife Ms. Wang Min were arrested by officers from the Yangjiadian Police Station in the Erdao District on the evening of July 14, 2022. They are being held in the Xinglongshan Detention Center.

4. [Muling City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Zhimin Harassed

Deputy director Zhang of the No. 2 Police Station in Muling City and residential police officer Zhai Xijun went to Ms. Qu Zhimin’s home on July 13, 2022. When they started videotaping inside her home, she stopped them.

5. [Daming County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

The Daming County Police Department and the Fengfeng Mining District Police Department dispatched three groups of officers to arrest Xing Jinhong and Deng Junxue in Fengfeng Mining District, Deng Xiuying in Handan City, and Xing Jingyu in Daming County on July 18, 2022. All their Falun Gong books were confiscated.

Because of Deng Xiuying’s high blood pressure Deng was monitored at home. Xing Jinhong was detained for five days. Deng Junxue was detained for ten days. Xing Jingyu remains in custody at the detention center.

6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Li Arrested

Ms. Zhao Li from Longfeng District was arrested at home by officers from the Lindian Police Department on July 12, 2022. Her home was ransacked and she is being held in the Daqing City No. 1 Detention Center.

7. [Chongqing] Ms. Zhou Juxiang’s Home Ransacked

Five officers from the Fengle Police Station broke into Ms. Zhou Juxiang’s home in early June 2022. They confiscated two Falun Gong books and two audio players. They took Ms. Zhou to the police station for questioning and recorded her answers. Meanwhile, the officers took Ms. Zhou’s house keys and returned to her home. They rummaged through her entire home and confiscated over 60 Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, and printed materials.

8. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Zhongguo Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Chen Zhongguo from Guangxing Town was arrested on March 18, 2021. His non-practitioner wife was also taken to the police station. The officers severely beat her in order to extract information from her. Mr. Chen was sentenced to five years in prison in June 2022.

9. [Beijing] Ms. Zhao Xiuhuan Held in Custody for One Year and Eight Months

Ms. Zhao Xiuhuan was arrested on November 21, 2020. That was over a year and eight months ago. The first court hearing was held on June 11, 2021. Two more hearings were scheduled but later canceled. Because of the pandemic, her lawyer was not able to travel to Beijing, and no one has provided any update on her case.

10. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xing Ailing Remains in Custody

Ms. Xing Ailing remains in custody.

11. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Zhang Hui’s Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

The case against Zhang Hui (gender unknown) from the Qinghe District was turned over to the procuratorate, and Zhang will be tried in a different district. Zhang’s case will be brought to the Changtu Court.

12. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Li from Wujia Town, Shuangcheng District, was arrested by officers from the Wujia Town Police Station on June 5, 2022. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated over 40 Falun Gong books. She was taken to the police station and pressured to sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong.

Mr. He Zenghui was reported to the police after giving his son a poster with “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” written on it. His son posted it in his home. Mr. He was arrested and pressured to sign a statement renouncing Falun Gong. Officers threatened that if he did not sign the statement, it would adversely affect his child’s enrollment in school, or employment. They told Mr. He to simply sign it and go home to practice on his own.

Ms. Du Guilian and Tang Yaosheng (gender unknown) were arrested at home three times between July 11 and 15. The officers confiscated two Falun Gong books. The two practitioners were pressured to sign paperwork.

Ms. Zhao Shukun was taken to the Wujia Sub-district Administration Office by the principal of Wujia Middle School at around 9 a.m. on July 15, 2022. More than 20 people from Beijing, Heilongjiang Province, Shuangcheng District 610 Office and Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and Wujia Police Station tried to transform Ms. Zhao. Three so-called experts lectured her for over four hours. Several people then took turns threatening her, pressuring her to give up her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They threatened to fire her from public office, prevent her children from taking civil service exams, remove the principal from his position, and punish key leaders of the district’s education commission.

Ms. Zhao refused to comply. She passed out at around 3 p.m., and her family rushed her to the Shuangcheng Emergency Center.

13. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Yang Arrested

Practitioner Yang was arrested by officers from Qianguo County Domestic Security Division on July 23, 2022.

14. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Tai Lijuan, Ms. Chen Qinglan, Ms. Zhang Yu’e, and Jia were recently arrested by officers from the Jishu Police Station. Ms. Zhang was released on the afternoon of the day she was arrested.

15. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Huang Xiaofen and Ms. Gu Zhifang Arrested

Ms. Huang Xiaofen and Ms. Gu Zhifang were arrested on July 20, 2022. Ms. Huang was later taken to the Chenzhou City Detention Center.

16. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Huali Arrested

It was recently reported that Ms. Xu Huali from Wendeng District was arrested at home by Domestic Security officers from the Wendeng District Police Department. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books.

17. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Five Practitioners Held in Detention Center

Several practitioners from Hailin City were arrested on July 11, 2022. Ms. Li Zhuying, Ms. Sun Yanhua, Ms. Wei Liping, and Ms. Cao Jinhui were released on the morning of July 26, after 15 days of detention. Mr. Liu Yunxiang, in his 70s, remains in custody in the Hailin City Detention Center.

18. [Xi’an City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liang Yuling Arrested

Ms. Liang Yuling from Lantian County was arrested in July 2022 while working as a nanny in Xi’an.

19. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Xueliang Detained

Mr. Gao Xueliang from Guangrao County was reported to the police while distributing Falun Gong materials in a residential community around July 18, 2022. He was arrested and detained for a week. He returned home on July 25.

20. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Sun Wancai’s Home Ransacked

Sun Wancai (gender unknown), 80, lives on Sheli Street in Acheng District. In early July 2022 Sun was reported to the police for telling others about Falun Gong. The police broke into Sun’s home, ransacked the place, and confiscated six Falun Gong books and eleven desk calendars.

21. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Ms. Han Liping Arrested

Ms. Han Liping from Dashimiao Town, Shuangqiao District, was arrested by officers from the Shuangqiao District Domestic Security Division on July 23, 2022.
