(Minghui.org) Several Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the 50th annual Tomball Night, a celebration of summer in the city of Tomball, Texas. Hosted by the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, the celebration is considered a place for people to learn more about local businesses, health and wellness resources. The event included a street market, which opened at 5 p.m., a Parade of Lights that began at 9 p.m., followed by a fireworks display.
The practitioners introduced Falun Dafa and collected signatures on a petition calling for an end of the persecution, begun in 1999 by then CCP-head Jiang Zemin. Practitioners taught families with young kids to make paper lotus flowers in the booth set up on the site. They also taught kids and parents how to pronounce the nine-character mantra in Chinese, “Falun Dafa is good,” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Some people bought the book Zhuan Falun.
Two practitioners visited every vendor in the street market, offering them paper lotus flowers and fliers introducing Falun Dafa.

Practitioner Wang said after returning from visiting vendor booths, “Almost everyone signed the petition opposing the persecution.” He continued, “They knew that the CCP is of evil nature by just looking at the situation in Hong Kong.”
Jennifer, another practitioner also visited vendors. She said that the people were delighted to accept the lotus flower gifts. Some expressed deep sympathy for practitioners suffering persecution in China.
One couple said they were friended by a Chinese family of five who had been persecuted in China for their belief in Falun Gong. They heard many painful stories the family had experienced in China.
A pastor prayed for all Falun Dafa practitioners after hearing the facts of the persecution.
