(Minghui.org) When raising awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) illegal persecution of Falun Gong, many practitioners have encountered interesting stories. Below are four stories told by four different practitioners.
Once, I bought some fish at a farmer’s market. It was 20 yuan, so I handed over two 10-yuan paper bills. Upon leaving, I saw the street vendor holding the money to the sunlight to check the watermark.
“Oh, there are Falun Gong words on the money. It must be real [money],” she murmured to herself while putting away the money. “Falun Gong practitioners won’t use fake money.”
I could tell she knew that Falun Gong practitioners are good people that she can trust. I was very happy for her because she no longer believed the lies from the CCP about Falun Gong.
One day in May this year, I went to visit a relative and chatted with someone on the way there. He was a business owner and had heard about Falun Gong previously.
“There are many practitioners in my company,” he said. “When officials came to harass them, I often drove the officials away.”
I thanked him and told him more about how practitioners were targeted for their belief, including being ruthlessly tortured in detention or even having their organs harvested while alive. He agreed to quit the CCP organizations to avoid sinking with the regime in the future.
He said he respects Falun Gong practitioners for their courage and perseverance. “The stories of Falun Gong will be recorded in history and will last forever,” he added.
Ms. Sun, a fellow practitioner in my region, was recently arrested. Overseas practitioners heard about the arrest and they called the police station urging them to release her.
One day, someone in the neighborhood (not a practitioner) went to the police station for some paperwork. He overheard a conversation between a police officer and an overseas practitioner on the phone. “The officer listened for a long time and I don’t think they will persecute practitioners so rampantly in the future,” said the person.
The police officer who arrested Ms. Sun called her family shortly after her release. He said that her case was over and no one would bother her anymore. He also wished her well.
A man named Li Qiang, 59 and a native of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, worked in Shanghai. Earlier this year, he went to Handan City, Hebei Province to visit his daughter, without knowing that she had gone abroad for a business trip. Unfortunately, Shanghai was locked down at the time due to the pandemic and Li was stuck in Hebei Province and stayed in a hotel in Handan City.
After a few days, however, Handan was also locked down due to the pandemic and he could not leave. To make things worse, he ran out of money. Unable to reach his daughter and having no money for an additional hotel stay, he ended up staying in the park overnight.
One day Li met a Falun Gong practitioner. They chatted about how the CCP has been harming the Chinese people since it took power in 1949 and how it has been defaming and persecuting Falun Gong practitioners for their belief since 1999. Li agreed to quit the CCP organizations. The practitioner gave him 400 yuan and reminded him to recite “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Fortunately, the lockdown in Handan was lifted the following day. With money from the Falun Gong practitioner, Li was able to do a COVID-19 test and buy a train ticket back to his hometown in Liaoning Province.
“Here I want to thank the Falun Gong practitioner for her help; otherwise, things would have been miserable,” he wrote.
