(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Luan Cuiliu’s Home Ransacked
5. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Baoguo Faces a Charge
6. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shen Jinye and Ms. Liu Ruilan Arrested
7. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Xiuguo and Ms. Sun Jing Arrested
8. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gu Wenhua Harassed

1. [Zhangye City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhou Junqi Arrested

Mr. Zhou Junqi from Shandan County was reported to police for distributing truth clarifying materials. He was arrested by police officers in Shandan County on May 18, 2022. His family was informed on June 1, 2022 that Mr. Zhou was formally arrested. 

Mr. Zhou was sentenced to three and a half years in prison in 2004. Officer Huang Dingming who handled his case in 2004, is now trying to do the same thing he did back then. He found some people to provide false testimony against Mr. Zhou.

2. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wei Denghui from the Qingbaijiang District and Ms. Deng Subi who was visiting the Qingbaijiang District, were arrested by police officers in Jintang County around 7 p.m. on June 1, 2022. Their homes were ransacked. Two hours later, Ms. Dong Jingzhi from Qingbaijiang District was arrested at home by plainclothes officers from Jintang County. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated two laptops, three cell phones and an entire set of Falun Gong books. The practitioners were taken to the Jintang County Police Department and were arrested within 24 hours. They are currently under residential surveillance. 

Another practitioner was visiting Ms. Dong when the police showed up at her home on June 1, 2022. The police took Ms. Dong as well as this practitioner to the police station around midnight. The other practitioner was released around 9 p.m. on June 2, 2022.

3. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Hua Arrested

Ms. Chen Hua from Harqin Zuoyi County went for a haircut with her husband (not a practitioner) on June 1, 2022. They were arrested by police from Harqin Zuoyi County on the way back home. Their home was ransacked. The couple’s personal belongings were confiscated including Ms. Chen’s Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, computer, cell phone, etc. 

4. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Luan Cuiliu’s Home Ransacked

Twelve officers from the Yanshou Police Department went to Ms. Luan Cuiliu’s home with a search warrant at noon on June 2, 2022. Only Ms. Luan’s parents were at home. The police searched the home carefully and thoroughly but did not find anything. Her parents were frightened because Ms. Luan and her husband were released from prison over a year ago. 

5. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Baoguo Faces a Charge

Mr. Zhang Baoguo and his wife Ms. Sun Lijuan were arrested on April 25, 2021. Ms. Sun Lijuan was later sentenced to five years in prison. Mr. Zhang Baoguo was detained for 37 days before being released on bail pending trial for one year. The term would end on June 1, 2022. Officers from the Juyuan Police Station recently claimed that they would submit Mr. Zhang’s case to the Linghai District Procuratorate. 

6. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shen Jinye and Ms. Liu Ruilan Arrested

Officers from the Konglong Town Police Station have harassed and arrested practitioners more than 10 times since January 2020. 

Ms. Shen Jinye, 80, and Ms. Liu Ruilan, 76, were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in the pedestrian street of Konglong Town, and were arrested by the police on April 9, 2022. They were interrogated in the police station and were released in the evening. 

7. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Xiuguo and Ms. Sun Jing Arrested

Mr. Wang Xiuguo and Ms. Sun Jing were arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Qiandian Town Market in Shuncheng District on May 29, 2022. Their home was ransacked. They are currently held in the Fushun Detention Center.

8. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Gu Wenhua Harassed

Officers from the Andejie Police Station in Lingcheng District went to Ms. Gu Wenhua’s home three times, at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on May 26, 2022, and at 11 a.m. on May 27, 2022. They told Ms. Gu’s son that his mother should be at home to have the photo taken. Ms. Gu refused to cooperate.
