(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Mr. Qi Guoxi from the Bincheng District was scheduled to be tried by the Bincheng District Court at 3 p.m. on June 1, 2022.
Ms. Li Weiping and Ms. Lin Guichen were scheduled to be tried via video link by the Mawei District Court on June 14, 2022.
Ms. Chen Chuyun from the Hanbin District was repeatedly arrested for validating the Fa and clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong.
On May 13, 2022, which marks the 30th anniversary of Falun Gong’s public introduction, Ms. Chen talked to people about Falun Gong on the street and was reported to the police. On May 19, officer Zhao Silin from the Hanbin District Domestic Security Division and others arrested her. They took her to the Hanbin District Detention Center.
Ms. Liu Yuxian was arrested by officers from the Kaixuan Road Police Station on the morning of May 13, 2022, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The officers took her keys, went to her home, and ransacked the place. They confiscated two Falun Gong books, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, an audio player, and multiple memory cards and USB flash drives. The officers later forced her to sign and fingerprint paperwork before releasing her.
Elderly Ms. Meng Guangqin from the Changping District was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from a police station in the Changping District on May 20, 2022. In the police station, Ms. Meng continued to clarify the truth with kindness to the officers and others. She returned home safely six hours later.
Ms. Liu Feng’e was arrested and taken to the Tieshan Police Station around 8 a.m. on May 5, 2022, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was placed in detention that day and held in the police station. The officers searched her home three times during her detention. She was released on bail and returned home at around 7 p.m. on May 17.
Officers from the Dawulan Township Police Station in Qinglong County went to the homes of Mr. Yu Dekai and Ms. Sun Guixiang in Haziting Village on May 17, 2022. They ransacked both practitioners’ homes and confiscated several Falun Gong books. Both practitioners were taken to the police station for interrogation. The officers extorted 1,000 yuan from each of their families and before releasing them.
Officers from the Chongwen Sub-district Police Station went to Fanzhuang Village on the evening of May 18, 2022. They entered the home of Mr. Li Hailiang’s son, which is in the backyard of Mr. Li’s home. From there, they set up a ladder, climbed over the wall, and broke into Mr. Li’s home. They pried open drawers and took two or three thousand yuan in cash. They confiscated all of his Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a box of incense, a lamp, a box of ink, and a printer.
Ms. Yuan Wenge, in her 70s, from Lijiazhuang Village was arrested by officers from the Baizhuang Township Police Station on December 23, 2021. That was five months ago. Her family recently learned that she was held in the Shijiazhuang City No. 2 Detention Center and her case was brought to the Jinzhou City Court on April 13, 2022.
Four men and one woman from the Zhaoyuan City Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Jiang Guixiu’s home and ransacked the place at around 9 a.m. on May 17, 2022. They did not find anything they were looking for. They located her non-practitioner husband, and even searched the couple’s straw hut. They took the couple to the police department in two private cars. They were released on bail for one year after posting bail money.
Mr. Li Liangduan, 59, from Hengdian Village, Fulong Town, Dazu District, was reported to the police for riding an electric bicycle to distribute Falun Gong materials in early May 2022. Around 3 p.m. on May 12, two police officers went to his home, pretending to look for an electric bicycle. The two officers came in a police car. They ransacked Mr. Li’s home and took him to the Huashi Street Police Station in Longshui Town. They handcuffed Mr. Li, scolded and interrogated him, and deprived him of sleep to pressure him to admit that he distributed the materials.
In the end, an officer in charge told Mr. Li that he could go home as long as he admitted that he distributed a few copies of the materials. By 8 a.m. the next morning, Mr. Li was released and returned home after admitting that he handed out three copies.
Ms. Zhao Yuzhen was photographed and reported to the police on the evening of May 11, 2022, while she was hanging “Celebrating May 13 World Falun Dafa Day” display boards in the Tiexi District.
Officers from the Tiexi District Domestic Security Division and the Baogong Police Station broke into Ms. Zhao’s home, ransacked the place, and confiscated all of her Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, some printed materials, and a computer. They took Ms. Zhao to the police station for interrogation, compiled a transcript, and released her the same day after she signed the transcript.
Mr. Xu Zhidong and his wife Ms. Li Qiuhong from Beimozhuang Village, Jiuzhai Township, were arrested by officers from the Jiuzhai Township Police Station and the Mengyin County Police Department in June 2021. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated their Falun Gong books, cash, and some personal belongings.
Mr. Xu was later sentenced to four years in prison and held in the Pingyi County Detention Center. Ms. Li was released on bail for health reasons. She is at home alone, with no one to take care of her. She has no money to see a doctor.
Ms. Li Jingui, 68, was interrogated at the Jinpen Police Station on the afternoon of May 17, 2022. The officers said that someone videotaped her and reported her to the police while she distributed Falun Gong materials.
The next day the officers told her to go to the Yueyang City Police Department to recount the event. They dispatched a police car and coerced her into going to the police department.
At the police department, the officers photographed her, including front and side photos, measured her height, took fingerprints of all ten fingers, asked her what size shoes she wore, and measured the soles of her feet. The officers also wanted to take blood samples from her, which she refused. She was pressured to sign the transcript, which she also refused. Later, her daughter, who accompanied her to the police department, signed it for her before she was released.
After returning home, the officers called and harassed her again. They said that they would not take blood samples, but she had to go to the police department for tests. She did not cooperate. The officers keep calling and harassing her.
