(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces, where at least 27 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Hui and Ms. Zheng Qinglan from Hebei District were arrested on May 18, 2021 for talking to people about Falun Gong. They will be tried in court on April 18, 2022.
Ms. Liu Junhua, 78, is a retired doctor from the Nanchong Campus of Southwest Petroleum University. The case against her was filed with the Shunqing District Court by prosecutor Xiao Yihui of the Shunqing District Procuratorate. Ms. Liu received a court notice on April 14, 2022, informing her that she will be tried in court at 3 p.m. on April 19, 2022.
Ms. Zhang Jun is a teacher at the No. 123 Middle School. She was arrested on July 15, 2021. Her case was dismissed twice by the Procuratorate, but it has been submitted to the Pulandian District Court. She will be tried in court on the morning of April 26, 2022.
Ms. Zhang Jianhua was arrested by officers from the Shuguang Police Station on August 10, 2021, and her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings were confiscated. Ms. Zhang has since been detained in the Jagedaqi Detention Center. Three practitioners are currently detained in the detention center, including Ms. Zhang Jianhua, Ms. Wang Jinrong, and Ms. Liu Kaixin.
The case against Mr. Hou Shuyuan, Ms. Liu Zaiyun, Ms. Hu Xiumei, and Ms. Su Chunfeng has been submitted to the Xinhua District Procuratorate by Gao Fusong, head of the Xinhua District Domestic Security Division.
Mr. Hou, Ms. Liu, and Ms. Hu are currently being detained in the Cangzhou City Detention Center. Ms. Su is on bail pending trial.
Ms. Kong Qingju from the Jiangyuan District has been arrested and detained for 36 days. She returned home. She received a call from the Procuratorate, informing her to go to the Procuratorate on April 17, 2022.
Ms. Ding Lianxiang was arrested by officers from the Xima Police Station on April 13, 2022. She is currently being detained in Raoping.
Ms. He Xiufeng was called to the Jiachuan Judicial Office on March 22, 2022. Officer Liu from the Wangcang County Police Department and Zhang from the Jiachuan Police Station talked to her.
Five people from the Wangcang County Police Department, the Jiachuan Police Station, and the Jiachuan Town Government, went to Ms. He’s home at around 4 p.m. on April 5, 2022. They showed the search warrant but Ms. He refused to sign it. She reasoned with them and they eventually left.
Ms. Sun Guixia from the Nanguan District was reported to police for distributing truth clarifying materials and was arrested by officers from the Shuguang Road Police Station in Nanguan District on March 4, 2022.
Four elderly practitioners were reading Zhuan Falun at a practitioner’s home when a group of police went there on the afternoon of April 14, 2022. The practitioners included Ms. Wu Zhengfang, in her 70s; Wang, 81; Fang, 70s; and a 91-year-old practitioner. The police took them to the Chengnan Police Station in the Shizhong District. Wang and Fang were released at around 2 a.m. the next morning. Ms. Wu and the 91-year-old practitioner are still detained.
Ms. Wang Jin has been detained for nearly one and a half years. Ms. Gao Qiongxian is on bail pending trial. They will be tried in the Xishan District Court at 9 a.m. on April 19, 2022.
Four people from the Yongxing County Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the police department went to Ms. Li Qun’e’s home on April 7, 2022. Only Ms. Li’s husband was at home. These people confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder and a digital camera. They also tore down a couplet and three wall posters.
Ms. Yang Zhenru, 67, lives in Xingxing Village, Nanquan Town. She stayed at her daughter’s home in Shifang City. Four officers from the Nanquan Town Police Station went to her daughter’s home on April 6, 2022. Only her daughter was at home. The police confiscated several Falun Gong books, some Minghui Weekly magazines, two photos of Falun Gong’s founder, and two bags of Ms. Yang’s belongings. They also tore down the couplet from the door, and the wall posters.
Mr. Qiao Chenglin was arrested in June 2020 for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was released on bail pending trial the same day. The case against him was submitted to the Procuratorate in August 2020. To avoid further persecution, Mr. Qiao left home and has not returned.
Mr. Qiao was arrested at his workplace by officers from the No. 1 Police Station in the Zhangqiu District on the afternoon of April 15, 2022. He was interrogated in the police station and released on bail pending trial.
Eight people, including six officers from the Yunshan Farm Police Station and two community staff members, went to Ms. Wang Changying’s home on the afternoon of April 13, 2022. They confiscated her computer, printer, Falun Gong books, cell phone, etc. Ms. Wang was taken to the police station for interrogation. She refused to cooperate and did not sign any documents.
Ms. Liu Yuanxue received a harassing call from officer Zhu from the Xuanhua Police Station in Yongchun District at around 3 a.m. on April 8, 2022. When she did not answer, her husband was called.
Jiang Chengyou from the Shengli Neighborhood Committee called Ms. Liu at around 10:30 a.m. the next morning and told her to meet them at the gate downstairs. Ms. Liu went there and talked to them about Falun Gong.
Ms. Guo Tao from Kongjiazhuang Town, Wanquan District, was harassed at home on April 12, 2022. She was pressured to sign a guarantee statement. Her children’s jobs and her grandchildren’s education prospects were threatened. Ms. Guo refused to cooperate.
Ms. Liu Yuhong was harassed at her son’s home in Xinhuang County by Cao Huiping and another man from the Xinhuang County 610 Office on the afternoon of April 11, 2022. They asked whether she practiced Falun Gong. Ms. Liu said yes. They told her not to go out and distribute information about Falun Gong. Ms. Liu told them she did it to tell people the truth about the persecution.
Yang Shaoqi, a government official of Aoping Town, led a group of people to Ms. Zeng Heqing’s home around April 10, 2022. They searched her home and confiscated many Falun Gong books.
