(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Liu Hongxia was arrested on October 29, 2021, and is being held in the Dalian City Detention Center. She will be tried on March 2, 2022.
Mr. Sun Yushan was arrested by officers from the Qingshuitang Police Station in the Kaifu District on January 20, 2022. The Kaifu District Police Department issued a detention notice. Mr. Sun is being held in the Changsha City No. 2 Detention Center
Mr. Sun’s case was turned over to the Kaifu District Procuratorate on February 18.
Ms. Ying Aiyun from Wuyun Town was arrested and her home was ransacked by people from Wuyun Town and the local police station in late August or early September 2021. She is being held in the Lishui City Detention Center.
Ms. Li Fengzhi and Ms. Wang Jinfeng from the Huanggu District were arrested by officers from the Huanghe Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of February 19, 2022. Neither practitioner has been released.
Lu (first name and gender unknown) from the Daowai District was arrested on February 16, 2022. Further details are pending.
Ms. Zhao Junshe from the Jianling Residential Community in the Fuxing District was spotted by the patrol police while she was posting Falun Gong materials in the Pangcun Sub-district on the evening of February 19, 2022. She was arrested by Pangcun Police Station officers. Around 10 p.m. the officers took Ms. Zhao to her home and ransacked it. They confiscated a computer, a printer, a cell phone, Falun Gong books, printed materials, and bank cards.
On February 21 it was learned that Ms. Zhao would be detained for 15 days.
Mr. Wang Yujin and his wife Ms. Li Cuihua from Liaoyuan City were arrested by officers from the Liaoyuan City Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of February 16, 2022. Mr. Wang was placed in criminal detention for 15 days and Ms. Li for 10 days. Also on February 16, a practitioner’s daughter was arrested but she was released that day.
On the afternoon of January 19, 2022, several people, some in uniform, knocked on the door of elderly Ms. Huang Shulan’s home. They said they wanted to photograph her. Ms. Huang did not open the door. They shouted from outside, “Don’t go out to take part in activities.” When they left, they tore the couplet off her door that praised Falun Gong.
The cases against Mr. Zhou Li from the Xinhua District, Ms. Wang Bingcheng from the Chang’an District, and Ms. Liu Peng were on file at the Ministry of Public Security in Beijing. As a result, the local police stations and departments arrested the three practitioners on October 9, 2021. The officers took the three practitioners to a hotel to compile interrogation transcripts, gather evidence, and come up with charges.
Mr. Zhou is being held in the Zhengding Detention Center. Ms. Wang and Ms. Liu are being held in the Shijiazhuang City No. 2 Detention Center. Their cases were turned over to the Qiaoxi District Procuratorate for prosecution.
The case against Ms. Liang Yening and her husband Mr. Zhang Linyu was also on file at the Ministry of Public Security. The couple was arrested at their rented place by officers from the Zhengding Police Department on January 23, 2022. Their whereabouts are unknown. At the same time, Ms. Pu Xingchi was arrested at home. Her whereabouts are unknown.
Also around the same time, Ms. Liu Shunzhi and her three family members, who live in the Hengda Residential Community, were arrested. Ms. Liu’s situation is unknown, but her three family members have returned home.
At 4 p.m. on February 14, 2022, Ms. Zhu Yaqiong was heading to work out of town. At the railway station security checkpoint, she was found to be carrying a Falun Gong book. The police arrested her and took her to the Railway Public Security Division at the intersection of Taiping Road and Jingfu Street for temporary custody. The officers took her two cellphones. That night, her family members went to the Railway Public Security Division and asked to see her but were not allowed to.
Ms. Zhu is currently being held in the Mudanjiang Detention Center.
Ms. Dongye Guanglan, in her 70s, from Muyangchang Village, Hailin Town, was arrested by officers from the Hailin City No. 1 Police Station around the end of November or early December 2020. Her home was ransacked and many personal items were confiscated. She was detained for 15 days.
Two months ago, Ms. Dongye was arrested at home. She is currently being held in the Mudanjiang Public Security Hospital due to symptoms of diabetes.
